Somehow I have never been to Firehouse Subs. I came here for lunch with my friends. They don't make the sub in front of you, you have to order it all at once at the register. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. The quality of the meat and veggies were good and tasted fresh. The bread was okay not my favorite. I got a side of white cheddar Mac and it was really good. I ordered 2 subs through the app: a medium turkey and a medium roast beef. I picked up my order and drove 15 miles to meet a friend for lunch. That is when I discovered that they gave me 2 turkey subs. Of course, the roast beef sub is more expensive, and that is what they charged me. I tried calling but no one picked up the phone. I tried to submit the issue through the app form, but it would not submit it. I tried to complete their online survey, but again, it told me the server could not be found. I did a google search for the survey, clicked on it, but no server found. They have made it impossible to report an error and get a refund. NEVER VISIT FIREHOUSE SUBS IN ORANGE CITY. THEY ARE COMMITTING FRAUD BY CHARGING YOU FOR A MORE EXPENSIVE SUB AND GIVING YOU A CHEAPER ONE. THEY MAKE SURE THAT YOU CANNOT COMPLAIN ONLINE OR ON THE PHONE. read more

This location is on par with all of the locations we've visited across the country. We really like FS because the quality of their food, and service - remain consistent across its different stores. Always employing local young people, they are well-trained and courteous and kind. This location was no different and we had a great experience ordering a large dinner. The staff were busy, each keeping to their own work and they were welcoming and friendly and efficient. Portions at FS is always far better than other franchise sandwich shops such as Subways, Blimpies or Jersey Mike's. They have a great varied menu and we love the New York Steamer! read more

I've patronized other Fire House Sub locations many times and always loved the sandwiches. Why have I passed by this location so many times? It has to do with the location on a very busy road that, at times, makes it almost impossible to make a left turn from their parking lot without a death defying move with the car. Well, today I was in the area for business and remembered how much I used to love the product and figured why not. This is a clean location and it appears they do an adequate business over lunch. The food is still good. However, the pricing is climbing right up there into the stratosphere alongside of Five Guys. They even offer a "small" sub but I almost choked when I asked the size and was shown a little piece of bread that they said was 4" long. Sorry but it looked more like 3" to me and the price was still high. I think they were around $6 each. Even the "medium" subs were small and who can afford a "regular" sub. The epitome of shrinkflation. Nope, the prices will keep me away as we have other options that will give you full table service. One is right across the street. read more

I was there yesterday and it was great! I walked in and immediately was greeted by over 5 people all saying "hello, welcome to firehouse, hello, how are you?" I didn't even know what to do with myself so I just said hello, hello, hello! Lady that took my order was very kind, read everything back to verify and order came out right! Also while eating there, I was asked if I needed anything and if everything was good. Then when throwing away my trash to leave, was told again to have a nice day on the way out. Well it's been awhile since we visited this Firehouse or any other for that matter. Usually its Subway, the wife's favorite place. They redid the menu adding a lot of yummy looking subs. I know, I know pictures can be deceiving. We ordered two medium combos, the Engineer & Brisket. Combos come with chips & a medium drink. Cost me $17.75.... We sat down at our favorite spot, the front window seats. I got up & went to get some yummy sweat tea...Empty!!! I told one of the workers who said no problem we can make some for you. I went back to sit down & the subs came out. The subs were great but unfortunately real small. I'm also pretty sure it would of been better if I had some sweat tea to wash it down. Yuppers I was done eating when they finished making the tea. Oh well!!! I did take some to go. Next time I will listen to the wife and go to Subway. It's cheaper and you get more. read more

This was an unpleasant and quick experience. As soon as we walked into the establishment, we were stared at by the staff with no greeting or gesture to welcome us. I didn't even bother ordering at that point when eye contact was made but there was no attempt on greeting us. Very disappointed. The energy there is just unpleasant. read more

Starting with the unfriendly staff, walk up to order, no greeting, just a straight faced employee staring at us. Order a small combo and the sandwich was so small it was gone in 3 bites. Almost $8.00 for a drink, a tiny bag of chips and a micro sub. Won't be returning. read more

We always liked their subs to the point I had a crave for a brisket cheddar. Not good. The bread has hard on the ends and not very fresh. The meat was very dried out and hardly any sauce. I will not crave another one. It was extremely disappointing. read more
