Since we had a welcome coupon, we ordered 4 small varieties of sandwiches so we could taste them all. The French Dip w/Roast Beef was the star of the show! Their roast beef is delicious. Panera Bread doesn't have a roast beef dipper. So if that's what you're craving, Firehouse Subs is the place! The other sandwiches we tried were: 1. Steak & Cheese A good Philly Cheesesteak, but IMO their roast beef was better. 2. Smokehouse Brisket A good smoked taste, but IMO pulled pork in other places is better. 3. Meatball Huge Meatballs! Wow, worst Firehouse I've ever been to! We ordered a large sandwich to split and two drinks. Got charged for 4 drinks but didn't notice until afterwards. Had to go wait at the counter to have them fix it, which took them like 15 minutes to do the refund for some crazy reason, which was our entire lunch break after waiting to get the order to begin with, even though the restaurant did not have very many customers and wasn't that busy. Then the sandwich was cold. They finally refunded the two drinks they overcharged us for. But offered absolutely zero compensation for wasting 15 minutes of our lives that we can never get back and for us having to eat a cold sandwich. There were only a few other customers in the restaurant at the time, and when we walked in there were no customers at the counter and the staff was just standing around... But all the tables were filthy and had not been cleaned. Never again read more

I visit this location often and have ordered in-person, on the phone, and online. All three experiences have been good too. The restaurant itself is always clean on the inside and the drink and chip stations are organized as well. Our two favorites are the hook & ladder and steak sandwiches. Do be careful coming here though. Traffic between 5-7 off the Emory exit can be quite intense when trying to turn in to go to go back out. It's well worth it though. read more

I would give them less than a star but its not possible...with Covid I have been scared to go out to eat but occasionally I get take out when I feel brave ... Well I guess the commercials says it all they only care about fire fighters but no one else ... I went in recently to get 2 large steak sandwiches and mac & cheese sides to go with drinks ... the food was awful the mac was hard and chewy not creamy and dreamy like you expect ... the steak sandwiches were dry chewy meat I asked for no peppers or mustard and they were almost smoothered in them ... the only thing good was the drinks ... this was an Expensive $40.00 life lesson in this time of Covid with shortened work hours and less pay it was a hard lesson to learn but one I will NOT repeat ... I placed a complaint online but never heard from anymore so I thought word of mouth seems to hurt businesses so I figured a review was a good idea so think twice before you give your money to a business that doesn't care about you. read more

I ordered a small pastrami sub. I was like the only customer in the place and it probably took 10 minutes to get my sandwich. You would think 10 minutes for a sandwich that it would be amazing. I was amazed because they served me the smallest sandwich I've ever seen in my life for around $5.00. Like 3 or 4 adult sized bites. I wanted to start laughing because clearly this was some type of joke but unfortunately the joke was on me. I assume they had a little piece of end bread left over and why not pass it off as the small sandwich on some unsuspecting customer. From the looks of things in this restaurant they've probably stuck it to enough other people also because the restaurant was empty. The actual tidbit of a sandwich they served me probably had one ounce of meat on it. All I can say is if this is where the firemen eat around Powell that there must be alot of skinny and hungry firemen around Powell TN. This really was a one star experience but I liked some of the firemen memorabilia around the place so I'm giving them one extra star for the decorations but the food still sucked and there was very little of it... I went here today and definitely will never come back. As I was waiting for my sub , I started to get aggravated for the fact I had ordered my sub 10 minutes ago and there was only 3 other people in the restraunt, who had already got their food. The employees were standing around talking until I ask one of the employees when my food would be ready. She replied with "can you not wait?". Corporate will definitely be called. read more
