Online says they are open until 9. When I rolled up it says they are online orders only. That would have been nice to know before I made the trip.

I love Firehouse Subs. The food is usually good and the service is pretty friendly. This was mostly true this time around but I'm not sure I got the double meat I paid for. the sandwich seemed a little light compared to what I typically get at the locations near my home.. Otherwise, it was the typical experience. I don't know if I'll dine here again. I've found a couple of other locations over the years that go light on meat and it's easier to find a different location than to argue with them about it.

Disappointing. The parking is packed, also I ordered online ahead of time so it would be ready by the time that I selected. When I got there, I waited another 25 minutes for my order to be ready, and they put my sandwich out with mostly lettuce and almost none of the good stuff as you can see in the picture. I also specified that I wanted a Diet Coke, and they gave me a Coca Cola. They seemed very stressed but they also were prioritizing people that came in after I did, even though I had a specific pick up time. It's really a hit or miss with this place. Sometimes it's good, most of the time it's just average. Also I tried to order with a reward on the app and it wouldn't let me apply it, so I ended up paying for a brownie I thought I was getting for free, and paying for the wrong drink that I don't even like or want.

I think Firehouse makes some very good sandwiches, especially if you eat at the restaurant. I say this because one of their unique aspects is that they steam the meat separately before they put it in the french roll. When this is all warm the sandwiches taste much better than if they are cold. We've tried various sandwiches at Firehouse locations both in California and Utah and the quality has been quite consistent. They have some healthier options as well for people looking for low fat or low calorie food. The bread is satisfactory, not amazing, but the ingredients are high quality, especially the meat. Our favorite part is actually the house hot sauce (Captain Sorenson's Datil Pepper Sauce) which is free inside the restaurant and compliments the sandwiches very nicely. They have a wide assortment of hot sauces that you can take your table to augment your sandwich. They also have the Coca-Cola freestyle machines with one of their drinks available, cherry lime-aid, which is one of our favorites. Pretty sweet but they have fresh lime slices there to offset some of the sugary taste. On the downside, the prices are a bit high and the portions are not overly large. We still certainly recommend Firehouse as a nice alternative to some of the larger sandwich chains.

    Unable to order at 8:40

I called at 8:30 because my wife was craving firehouse subs, was told I could only order online, and they'd close online ordering in 10 minutes. I pull over (I was on my way there) and I log in and place an order. This took me 4-5 minutes. As I'm ready to put my payment in it says that I can order for tomorrow. I call the location back and they state that they don't have a register. I guess it's a new era of business, I show up and they Are literally closed at 8:40 and I get looked at like an idiot for wanting to purchase some food so close to 9 pm. Change your hours if you are not open until 9 pm. That's my review of my crappy experience.

I had a very large to-go order today. I was sad to say the sandwiches were very soggy. I was super bummed.

The lighting and seating feel eclectic without being uncomfortable--casual, inviting, and easy to settle into. Our waitress, Avery, was excellent. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made ordering easy. We shared a large order of fries between the three of us, and they were more than enough. The fry sauce stood out immediately--definitely not the standard Utah variety--and genuinely excellent. On Avery's recommendation, I ordered the Cowboy in LA, and I'm very glad I did. The flavors were well-balanced and bold, and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. My son and his friend both ordered the Stoneman burger and agreed it was really good as well. Overall, this was a standout experience. I'd recommend Backdoor BRGR without hesitation--easily the best burger I've had in years.

It felt a little odd walking through the back @ first, as we got a little peek into the kitchen. It didn't seem like we should have been back there, but once we got to the host area, we were assured that entering through the back is completely fine. As we sat there, we noticed many people doing the same thing. The place is western theme. Lots of fun pictures on the walls, random lighting and chairs, I personally loved the vibe. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions on the menu. We felt right at home, great hospitality here. I wanted to try a burger that sounded really out of the ordinary, so I got the Grumpy Claire. It has apples on it, a savory caramel sauce, it just sounded insane, and I had to try it out. I also got an order of onion rings. The burger was cooked to perfection, had great flavor and was more delicious than I imagined. My husband got the Poco Bueno. I tried a bite, I did not like it. The reason I did not order it was because that sounded like a burger I'd find at any regular burger joint. The problem I had with the burger was the seasonings used. It tasted like a very strong taco seasoning was added to the patty. I do not like taco seasoning at all, so this was a No from me. My husband got an order of fries with his burger, which were very good! &Their fry sauce is amazing! The staff makes you feel like part of the family & check in on you consistently throughout your visit. The part that stood out the most was that not only was our waitress checking in on us, the other waitstaff would come by and ask how we were doing as well. The owner came over to chat with us too. She came up, introduced herself, asked how our meal was, and we talked with her for several minutes to follow. I appreciated that experience. I highly recommend trying Backdoor BRGR if you haven't yet! The pricing was fair, the staff is amazing, the owner is a sweetheart, and the food is incredible.

The hot dogs themselves were large and flavorful, definitely restaurant quality. The star of the show though, was the special sauce. It was a really flavorful version of barbecue sauce that wasn't too strong, that seemed to enhance the flavor of the toppings as well as the hot dogs, even with really different toppings on multiple hot dogs. The french fries were also super delicious, with a light seasoning and exterior crunch that was just outstanding. The place was busy but service was still fast since the menu is very simple, with only two choices of hot dogs and sides. The restaurant itself was nothing fancy and had basic diner vibes. Definitely adding this to our list when we visit Provo. Five stars!
