Absolutely the worst tuna subs I've ever had. The shop followed my requests for toppings, but the tuna itself was disgusting -- mushy, tasteless, and falling apart the moment we tried to take the sandwiches out. First time going to this one and it's been a while since I've had a firehouse sub. Unfortunately,the sandwich had a weird taste to it. It had a very... Pro-White flavor? Walk up to the register, wallet in hand,and the manager (older white guy) addresses my white friend first, who was standing behind me. Then, when I go up to get my food,the white female "sandwich artist" decides to give me a little extra service with my food by giving me a very dirty glare. Bottom Line: Hearty quick-serve sandwiches. I'd never been to a Firehouse Subs so I wasn't sure what to expect. Immediately I noticed that they take their fire fighting theme seriously, which I like. I also noticed that they had a very meaty and hearty menu that is perfect for those with a big appetite. Many of the sandwiches are turkey or beef based but I did find a grilled chicken option on the side menu too. For those who didn't spend the day dragging firehoses, climbing ladders and perfecting the fireman's carry with a 200 pound friend, they do have subs under 500 calories. You can make any sandwich a combo and add a pickle, chips and a drink. For drinks they have the fancy Coca-Cola remix machine that spews a zillion flavor combinations at a lesser psi than a firehose. They also have iced tea. Despite the fact that I didn't do the physical activity of a firefighter today I decided to channel my inner firefighter appetite and get the medium Beef and Cheddar Brisket. Like a one night stand it was rich, messy and meaty but left me feeling guilty afterwards. Next time I'll definitely go for a lighter option. My sandwich was ready in about four minutes and I thought the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. During my four minute wait I checked out the line up of hot sauces which are rated from a spicy scale of 1 through 10, with 10 being the spiciest. I'm not sure how that scale lines up with the Scollville Index but they all sounded hot to me! The dining room is a tad nicer than the typical fast food joint. I like the consistent application of the firefighter theme and that the decor incorporates the local area. There is a mural on the wall of the old Severna Park train station on the present day B&A trail. Also at least one of the fire fighters' coats hanging on the wall was from Earleigh Heights Fire Department who has faithfully served Severna Park for decades. read more

First time eating from here. When you first walk in the staff greets you by saying welcome to Firehouse Subs. They make you feel welcome. The staff are friendly and professional. The store setup is clean and open even the bathroom was clean. I was impressed. And let's get to what really matters the food. OMG hands down the food was amazing. The portions, the flavor and the tenderness of the meat. If you never been I recommend you should go. The price can be a little high but the food is worth it. read more

Food was delicious, prompt and hot but the customer service needs a bit of work. For instance, please explain the menu to customers that you can clearly see have never been to Firehouse subs before it just makes the line run smoother. This our third or fourth time at this restaurant and it was excellent. It's a chain sub shop. The restaurant is clean, the food was good and the staff was really friendly. My son loves to come in and get the kids combo and a fire hat. It's a nice change from the other fast food options. I ordered the Hook and Ladder "fully loaded" with the addition of the spicy pepper spread and I loved it. I won't ever order again without the spicy spread because I love that extra kick. My husband ordered the Italian sandwich and it was also good. It was a nice quick lunch after our bike ride. I was very disappointed with this place, I was looking forward to trying it for the first time. With that said, it was my first time trying it and the cashier was not in inviting, he didnt welcome us, just stood there, I asked how he was to initiate the greeting and still nothing. The woman at the register was very nice and answered a few questions I had about sizes etc. When I said "can I get a medium cheesesteak?", the tall male behind the counter said "nope". Ok, interesting. They were out of hots. I got it w onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato and extra mayo. It came out without the L and T. I thought I would be getting an authentic cheesesteak. This place by far has the best meatball subs on the east coast! However, getting one after 8pm is as difficult as picking both the winning Mega Millions and the Power ball numbers in the same week. Last night when I asked for a meatball sub, two employees looked at one another and started to giggle like two teen age school girls. One responded - sorry we just ran out of meatballs. The place was empty of other customers. Similar events have happened over a number of attempts to purchase a meatball sub after 8pm on other nights I guess I could arrive when they open the next day as I suspect in the back room somewhere there is a meatball tree - and by morning the stock will magically appear. I love the chain but will never return to this one. I've had a few bad experiences here all involving a man I believe to be the manager or someone in some kind of supervisor position. At the first, he came to our table as we ate and began pushing their loyalty program. That's fine - didn't mind it , but then he keeps talking on and on saying some really mean things about prior customers and how they leave bad reviews. (Ironic, as I am doing that now). You can teach your staff at the Severna Park, MD Firehouse how to give courteous responses to customer inquiries. I DARED to question whether or not my change back was correct. I got a demeaning earful from an older woman of three that was working. I left without waiting for the sandwich I paid for. One comment that sticks out in my mind is how the oldest of the employees informed me that she did not do anything wrong. I told her that I could clearly hear her loud voice and that I did not like how she was talking to me. She was demeaning and rude, and I think it was VERY intentional. This is a lesson of how NOT to treat a consumer. Your food is good but not good enough to experience this! She did all of this in front of three young men who had been waiting behind me. Interestingly, she started calling one of them honey and sweetie. It was nauseating. I am guessing this is not the first time this has happened in your store. In fact, another store owner in the complex confirmed to me that this is not a first time occurrence. This happened on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
