This is a small park, just outside of Loveland, but not too far. The wifi is *awesome*! The bathrooms are small, but are rarely used. they are kept very clean, as is the small laundry room. This is a park of mostly long-termers, but they have a few spots for people passing through as well. We found this to be the best park close to Estes, without the Estes prices...and with good WiFi. At the back of the park is an irrigation channel with a nice walking path along it. Good for taking the dogs out. There is a large hill behind the park, so it's pretty quiet. Just across the street, about a mile or so up the road (towards Loveland) is Devil's Backbone. It's has a nice parking area with a lot of great walking/biking/equestrian trials. Easy hiking with great scenery. We camped here in a motorhome, and our inverter died, so we had no hot water for the week we had to wait on the arrival for a new one . We like the location. However on the way in to the park and out of the park the maintenance crews had sprinklers running and our RV and tow vehicle got badly water spotted. We will not stay here again. I am not talking just a little bit of water but a huge spray along the side of our RV and Toad. read more

Just got home from my stay in Loveland, CO. Stayed at this wonderful place. My cabin #4, was so tiny cute and perfect. Trish, the hostess, is super nice. The gentleman working on the grounds was also quite nice. Cabin was spotless and cozy. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

We are a line family and stayed at this campground for close to four months they do require you to stay at least three months and that was no problem for us. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Staff is great and the people that live here are also awesome. read more

I'm extremely sad and disappointed with Fireside. Many weeks ago I booked cabin #1 with 2 beds. I followed up to ensure i was getting what i had paid for and booked. I was assured of it. When I arrived on Fri, Sept 11, I walked to Cabin 1 to find it is rented. I call management and they said they moved me to #4....into a cabin with one double bed. I had just driven 10 hours with my best friend for our annual guys weekend and while we are close I have no desire to share a bed with him. They could not solve my problem and wished me luck. I had to scramble to find something else and the trip was ruined as a result. read more

Quiet, clean, plenty of room. Friendly staff and nice weekend venues. Sits beside the Big Thompson. Lost a star because our site sits on a mound. Definitely recommend to everyone. Make sure you book way in advance. Two week max allowed. This will be our go to spot when in the Denver area. read more

I have been traveling all summer and this campground was by far the worst! I felt violated just by the price, with the feeling I was robbed! What a mess and I mean everything! Laundry room OMG really dirty! Bathroom all the toilets are extremely short, and not very clean! Weeds and holes filled our site! This camp ground could make a fortune with return customers under better management. My husband heard the bartender tell a potential customer that they were booked for the night and sent them on their way to a campground down the street. With probably30 sites available in our section alone. Your employees are lazy or not trained in customer service. Also you should not advertise that you have WiFi it is a lie! read more

First, I was quoted a price of 375/mo plus 100/mo fixed rate for electricity, so I made a reservation for a specific campsite on April 1, 2014. I arrived on May 1 and was charged $425/mo rent and $50/mo electric for the most hated site in the entire campground. I was forced to park my 32 footer in a spot made for a pop-up trailer! And it was under 8 sap dripping/limb dropping cottonwood trees. My roof is so filthy and messy now. When the spot I wanted was vacant, I asked for it; the manager, Barbara, lied to me and said that someone was coming in 2 days and staying long term. Campers have been in and out of that spot the last 60 days; she lied to me. She has lied to me several times about various things. I know this because I already know the facts and the answers before I asked her questions about certain things. Then my neighbor in site #1 banged on my door and screamed at me in a drunken rage at 3 in the morning one night because he felt that I was using part of HIS site that HE was paying EXTRA for to park his third vehicle in, his giant diesel Ford truck. Then one quiet afternoon, Tim, the maintenance manager came banging on my door and called me an eyesore! He didn't like the materials I had been collecting and storing under my trailer to use to landscape my site, like my neighbors, and building a shabby-chic but temporary and easily removable wooden skirt (basically just free standing fence pieces around my trailer). I got it on video; it's absolutely full-on raging at me! Then he served me with a 5 day quit or get-out notice; so I had to immediately forfeit and give away about $1,000 in lumber, paint and materials! Then came the lies about not being able to move to the spot I wanted from Barbara, the office manager. Instead, I was forced to move to another site between to grumpy old men in ancient fifth wheel units. Well, surprise, Rick in space 27 started screaming at me in a drunken, belligerent rampage yesterday because I tossed some fruit pits and spoiled nectarines into the wild, open field across the fence behind me. Deer come and eat out of the field. I was fun to watch. Birds frequent the wild field and entertain my cat. But I had to call 911! No managers and no owners would answer phones or respond to voice mail messages. And with the riff-raff the new managers are letting camp her now, this place is becoming a dangerous mobile home park! I could go on and on with examples that I have been documenting along with pictures and video. I'm screwed because I don't own a truck to tow my fifth wheel. I am disabled and live on a fixed income. I cannot afford to pack-up and get the hell out of this dump. Now I know why this place was so cheap. NO ONE WORKS HERE! If you stay here, you are expected to mow your grass, trim your weeds, etc. You are not allowed to have ANYTHING outside except a grill, a rug, OUTDOOR furniture and bicycles. YOU ARE NOT allowed to store anything outside in containers, etc unless you put it under your trailer with a management approved skirt. OMG... PLEASE FOLKS...stay away... worn others... I had been parked next door to Dave, so I can tell you he is 100% spot on in his review, too! It's horrible here. I'm miserable now. I feel trapped inside my trailer. And on top of that, after all the gay slurs yesterday, apparently only straight, white folks are welcome here.... especially if they smoke and like to get drunk. Most of the long-term are oil/fracking workers and a few tenants are senior, retired people. This place has gone directly into the toilet since the new owner took over on May 1st. The owner bought this park with insurance settlement from Riverside RV Park down the road that was hit by the October 2013 flood. Same issues at Riverside, I'm afraid. The laundry machines are ancient but cheap. The cable, LOL, may or may not work, if you want to call it cable. You do get HBO and HBO2 but that's it for entertainment. WiFi. What a joke. Imagine using your smart devices on dial-up from 1998 and that's exactly how miserable and frustrating it is to use the WiFi here. Good luck finding a manager. They are always busy doing stuff for themselves versus working for the park. The office manager spent an entire day out in the front lawn picking up dog poop with a pooper scooper. As if anyone gives 2 cents about the front lawn. Everything you can't see from the road is over-grown and run-down. Don't ask for anything extra or any special permissions, that'll cost you extra... unless you are one of their personal buddies, then you can do whatever you want to do from moving your living room outside to skirting your RV with duct tape and blue tarps! I just cannot say enough horrible things about the new managers here. TEENAGERS from a fast-food restaurant could manager this park better!! read more

Fireside RV Park & Cabins 6850 W. US Hwy 34 Loveland, CO 80537 Stayed here for 5 months May-Sept 2014. Park review: 1. Good luck finding the Managers, office is open approx. 4 hrs a day. You'll probably have no Mgmt help to back you into your space. 2. It's a dust bowl because they're too cheap to re-gravel the driveway. You'll have dust all inside your rig if you have your windows open. 3. They charge extra for everything, even when the extras are crappy (bathrooms). 4. This is not a park for retirees; it's full of working class families with loud diesel trucks that crank up at zero dark-thirty and children playing outside. 5. Avoid Space #2 like the plague. People walk right outside your RV on their way to trash/laundry/showers, no privacy in this space. 6. They allow campfires even though there's no fire rings provided and almost everyone doesn't have a fire. Near space #2 one guest has campfires. Good luck keeping your windows open and not have you're rig filled with smoke (an issue near Space #2 only). 7. They don't respond to emails. 8. Picnic tables are shabby. 9. Weeds are allowed to grow around your space/pad. 10. Parking is a big issue here, most times vehicles are partially blocking the driveway. 11. You'll be taking your life in your own hands every time you try to pull out onto Hwy 34!!! 12. Don't stay under the trees, they drop seed pods that glue themselves to your rig. Let me end with one positive: It's close to Estes Park and Rocky Mtn NP. Bottom line: Stay at Riverview RV (1 mile west) instead. It's under the same Mgmt as Fireside but at least it looks more like an RV park and not a truck stop. read more
