The Star is for customer service, if I could rate the auto service, it would be a 0! Took my 2021 Sonata in for a second opinion on brake job (really 3rd opinion). Following the Firestone Complete Auto Care inspection, my car sounded like a beater car from the 80's. I pulled into the FCAC location with an occasional break squeak that would stop seconds after accelerating, I left with constant squeaking and kranking until brakes were applied. The need for brakes/rotors had been established before this visit, the brake job was going to happen. It was unnecessary to assure that I left Firestone needing service. I was truly just looking for price comparison and should not have had free brake inspection. I walked away knowing that I would not take my car back there for a windshield replacement job. Every mechanic working that Sat afternoon looked like a teenager...inexperienced. Bought lifetime alignment and tire rotation/balance. Dropped car off to staff. They called me next a.m. asking if car still coming in!?! Had car all day, 0 updates. Went to shop, car finished. NO paperwork, clerk just said no charge. Waiting 5 days for mgr.to call. They damaged my TPMS. stability control and who knows what else. Repair shop scheduled. Suit for damages being prepared. I've been coming to this fire stone store for about 20 years now. The staff is always amazing. They find things that sometimes my dealer doesn't find. Everyone seems to be very knowledgeable. If you make an appointment you don't usually have much of a wait. So my recommendation is don't just drop in always make an appointment then you won't be unsatisfied with your wait time. I find the staff is very knowledgeable and they have great prices on their tires I will keep going back. read more

This place is a racket. I've been there with a coworker to drop off/pick up their car and I've been a potential customer. Same basic experience every time... they dream up new things to do to the car and make up new prices that are totally out of line. I went in with a coupon for brake pads for $89.95. They called back and said that it would be $290 because it also needed rotors. First of all, rotors cost about $40 at retail and shouldn't take more than a few minutes if you've already got the calipers off to change the pads. Their attempt at upcharging to that degree made me pick my car up and head out. I took it to a local shop and they inspected the car and pointed out the real problem (which I was able to confirm as an unfortunately common problem on my car) and fixed it properly. For the comparable parts of the job, the other place was much cheaper. read more

Not only did they charge more for a simple oil change than the dealership, SOMEONE SMOKED IN MY CAR! I had to drive home with the windows down in 42-degree weather, shivering all the way, just so I could BREATHE. Now I'm hoping the Febreeze I sprayed in the car will work before my hour-long commute in the morning. I will never go back to any Firestone after this deplorable treatment. read more

Terrible Service Manager who needs to be retrained on how to deal with customers & how to be solution oriented. They also force you to schedule an appointment but still make you wait 2 hours after the scheduled time before they even look at your vehicle. THey were so busy trying to make money on new offerings that they fail to address the problem you are there for in the first place. Service Manager has an attitude problem & a customer had to offer me an opinion on how to fix my vehicle because Firestone really was doing a good job of it. Do not go to this location. I've been a repeat customer for years at this store. Never once had an issue with service, quality, or timeliness. These guys are the pros in the business and get the job done right the first time. They work close with you and address all your concerns in a polite manner. Highly recommended! Don't go anywhere else! read more

If I could leave no stars this would be more appropriate. My husband came in today to have a tire taken off a rim. He was told it had to be off the vehicle so he came home took it off and went back. All the paperwork was finished then he was told it could not be done the tire was bald. BS it has slight wear on it its my tire on my van. All he needed and was going to pay for was the tire to be taken off the rim so he could repair the valve stem. So when I do tire shop? It won't be at your location and I will tell all my friends family and neighbors to NEVER go to this location. On top of everything the guy was rude and told my husband he would have a hard time doing the tire. Guess what hubby fixed it without your crappy shop helping. Customer service should be your concern apparently you need some serious training in this department! read more

I went in to this location for a tire rotation and battery test. I was told that they recommend that I purchase new sway bar however my battery was fine. The very next day my "tire pressure sensor light fault" came on. I never called or inquired about it because it was obvious that something had been done incorrectly. I then noticed that a few days later that my car was shaking terribly when driving on the highway. Found out from a back yard mechanic that I needed an axel on the driver side. Here I am a month later having to have my vehicle jumped twice in one week and can you guess why? I needed a new battery. Thanks to O'Reilly Auto Parts all of the issues that Firestone on Bucholzer in Akron, Ohio caused. These group of guys are terrible, nothing but crooks. read more

If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in this Firestone for service next time, make sure that you watch out for the dangerous, dishonest, discriminating, and rogue employee(s). I was there today to drop off 1 of my cars for service. When I was ready to drive the other car off the parking spot with my wife and kid, I did not expect to see a truck turning around the corner and coming down the wrong direction of the parking lane at high speed. I stopped soon enough not to block lane, the truck could not until his cab was right in front of my car. It could have been an incident that we both shrugged off, until this Firestone-employee-turned-rogue-road-warrior started pointing at my nose and shouting profanity, not realizing that he's going to fast and going the wrong way. At that point, I had to point out to him that "I was the one who stopped, you did not". At this point, he chose to turn himself into a liar, by claiming that he was only going at 7 mph. Before he stepped on the gas padal again, he shouted what he thought would be a victorious last word of the confrontation, "Learn how to drive in America!", with not-so-subtle reference to my heritage. As someone who's had a clean driving record in more than 1/4 century in America, likely longer than his, I felt this remark was completely unnecessary and discriminating. No one ever have to tell me how to eat a hamburger when going to McDonald's, or how to shop at Macy's. Firestone definitely has an issue in educating their employees about how to service customers. At this point, I honked in protest, before he could speed off. Now the racist Firestone employee turned himself into a back alley bully, and resorted to intimidation. He jumped off his truck, ran up to my car, and threw his face right by my window, and shouted "Do you have an issue? If you don't have one, I'm about to give you one." Seeing his truck blocking the upcoming traffic, and not interested in escalating a street fight with a chest-pounding bully, I quietly asked him to move his vehicle, "just move!" After dropping off the kid, I went back to retrieve the car that was being serviced at Firestone, then asked to talked to the Firestone manager, and tell the manager why I took my vehicle out of his staff's service. Now the rouge employee got cornered, and jumped out from behind the counter, and threw himself in front of us, claiming that driving against traffic in the diagonally parked lots is not in the "wrong way", because "there's no arrow on the ground". Manager Brian was polite enough to tell me that he'll "take care of it", but failed to agree to the basic facts that his employee was going down the wrong direction, because he's "not there to witness". Disappointed, I had to remind the manager that the rogue has acknowledged which the direction he was travelling at the time, no different from what I have stated. If the manager couldn't even make a call whether that unconventional direction is the "wrong" direction, then we'll have to resort to a third party for arbitration. Looking back, Firestone lacks the basic training of employees about safety, service, and integrity. Until the store put the arrow on the Firestone parking lot for the under-educated employee(s) to learn how to drive, I will not go back there. Unless you are looking for the kind of "excitement" as I had today, you probably should not visit them either, not even their parking lot!!! read more

I went in for a oil change and brake inspection. The place was clean and appeared to be maintained. The staff came across as friendly and seemed to be attentive to the other customers. While I was waiting, I decided to watch them work on my car. I was concerned to find the mechanic hammering the socket on lug nuts and after removing the nuts, hammer them out of the socket. This didn't seem right and I asked the person at the desk if this was the norm. She said it was. (Until now, I had the car tires rotated and inspected at the dealerships. Surely they would have the right size sockets.) I left the place to have dinner with my wife. When I came back they told me the car was ready. I got in my car and started out of the parking lot. I heard this terrible grinding coming from the wheels. I turned around in the parking lot and spoke with the person at the desk. I told her about the grinding and she said she could hear it from inside the shop. She called out the mechanic and they fixed it. She mumbled something about how when they tested the rotors, they may have bent something but it's fixed. What I didn't understand was how no one heard the noise when they pulled the car out of the car bay. I have serious doubts about returning to this place. read more

My first experience here they ran my electrical system ragged and couldn't find the problem I came in about, but then recommended I replace my car battery. The second time I came in for problems with my battery and they attempted to charge me $167 to replace my car battery, which is double or even triple what it costs to purchase a car battery. They are ridiculously overpriced and have less than subpar customer service skills. I will never go here again. read more
