I had my worked van repaired there. They had it for 3 days, when I dropped it off I asked they could park the van inside during the nighttime hours as it had all my tools to do my job. When I paid and went to leave with my van, I looked in the rear cargo area and found a used part from the repair there. I thought that was strang because no one had a reason to be in the cargo area. Upon looking further I noticed some of my tools were missing. I went back into the shop to tell them about the incident. The manager was not there, so I returned the next morning to complain. The manager said they were not liable. I filed a report with corporate and they also said they were not liable because it was beyond their control. I told them you had the key to my van, and whoever did this was in the cargo area for a long time going thru all my shelf units, drawers and console helping themselves to my livelihood tools. Honestly the manager of the store was really not concerned. I mentioned to corporate that the manager has an employee doing that and he is not doing anything about it. I'm from out of town and I had brake issues. It was Sunday and not much was open. I called Firestone and Matt said they would work me in. They were very busy and Matt made sure they inspected my vehicle and they got my brake issue fixed. He wasn't going to let me drive home without it being done. Not only that I watched him treat EVERY customer the same way. He made sure they felt like a priority. When someone had to wait, he made sure to let them know he'd be right with them. My husband and I came in from out of town and had car trouble. It was the weekend and we were worried we would get stuck! This is one of the only places open on Sunday and we were so grateful! We drove up and were brought in immediately. It's so close to downtown so we walked to a cafe and waited to hear from them. I found my daughter car!!! after all this time-- NO Thanks to horrible- crap service Firestone in Asheville NC-- They failed to change "ALL THE BELTS!" as contracted- as requested by my Husband and I. This is after taking the car back the very next day with the newly replaced windshield whippers falling off. After several conversation " you changed all the belts?? Firestone-- Yes, and within 2 weeks the car engine is ruined now sitting at Sweeten creek waiting to be repaired--- Firestone no longer wants to fix the my daughters car--- I am know doing everything possible to come up with the funds and sue Firestone...Failure to disclose, failure to repair, failure to send an invoice... I had a late breaking concern about my car tire while I was in Asheville for a training at the MAHEC. The people at this Firestone were so wonderful. I was impressed and so relieved. I am thankful for their help. One young man was helpful to let me know that even HE has problems using those air pumps at gas stations! I had overfilled one tire and left another with too little air. Stephanie (the lady taking everyone's information) was explaining to the person in line in front of me, how terrible Sunday's are for her because all of the customers are from out of town and they always have a tire issue. Well Stephanie, when you're one of a couple of places open on a Sunday that's bound to happen, and yes I am from out of town with a tire issue. We came in to Asheville in our RV off the Blue Ridge Parkway with brake issues. Chris looked at our vehicle. He said they could not help us because of the weight of our RV. Chris then asked his tech for a name of another business that could help us. We were able to take our RV to the other business and have our brakes looked at. I haven't ever actually done any business with these people, but one time about 6 months ago, I left my lights on downtown, and they jumped off my car, and today, I dropped by with a wheelbarrow tire that needed to be re-mounted, and the guy there insisted I not pay him anything. Don't let the national-brand name fool you, I guess... nice folks!! read more

I took my car there because it was convenient as I work downtown. I had a screw in my tire and simply needed it to be plugged. I dropped it off early, stating I wouldn't need it until after 3pm. I called after 3 pm, it had not even been looked at yet. After another hour I received a call stating it could not be plugged, that the tire needed replaced. I took it to the dealership where I purchased it for another opinion, and they WERE able to patch it. I WILL NEVER go back here after they lied just trying to sell me a tire instead of fixing something that was in fact fixable. SAD! read more

My sister & I were in town for an event in Asheville (we are from PA), and during the day of exploring the city, my car totally shut off in the middle of an intersection. Dead. It wouldn't start, and we were in serious traffic, horns were blaring, and I thought we were going to die in the intersection. After a quick call to AAA, an amazing towing company came and rescued us (along with the wonderful citizens & fire company of Asheville who pushed us out of the way --- thank you, everyone!). AAA recommended a garage that was unfortunately closed, so our towtruck man called up Firestone & asked if they could see us. They said, sure! Phew! We were relieved, as we were far from home. We arrived at Firestone, met by Ryan, who was so sweet & took care of my information. We were then met by Josh, and then Tom, who reassured us that everything would be okay. The customer service from these men were amazing! We sat for so many hours, laughed with them, and were constantly kept up to date on my car's issues. I have been to many garage's in my lifetime (as I have an older car), both big and small businesses, and this was the best experience I have ever had. Thank you to Tom, Ryan, and Josh. You truly made our terrible day, 100% better. I can't thank you enough for your help, customer service, and for getting us back on the road within the same day. Thank you so much!
