Two days ago, the oil change light came on the dashboard of my Audi. Called the station who normally services my Audi they did not have an available appointment for two weeks.+ Right now is a slow time and I have time to take care of things like this. I've used this location on at least two times in the past, one was for tires and each time was a good experience. I was in the Northlake Area today and even though I did not have an appointment, I decided to stop in and see about the oil change. They said they could take me but because I did not have an appointment, there would be a wait. No problem because I was at their mercy and besides, I was not going anywhere anyway. 30 minutes later, my Audi went into one of the bays and 15 minutes later, it was time to check out and pay. Great Service and very reasonable prices. Will keep this place in mind if I need quick turnaround in the future. read more

Every time I come there is always a different crew of people working. I don't know if that's good or bad. I made my appointment a week ago. I knew the brand of tire I wanted so I told them to make sure it was in stock and ready to be put on my car. I scheduled the appointment so I wouldn't have to wait long and so they would be prepared, but I've been here three hours and I'm still waiting. My car is up in the air in the bay. There was only 1 person sitting in the waiting area with me when I got here so I don't know why they scheduled me for this time if they were not ready to service me.I only came here for a set of new tires. People that dropped their cars off before me have come and gone. I'm going to start looking at Mavis or some other chains that will offer faster service, good customer service, reasonable pricing and someone that values customer's time. My time is important to me and this happens every time I come which is not often. I am not happy this afternoon. I got off early to get this done and over 3 hours is a long time to wait on a set of tires! read more

I'm sharing this to warn others. I brought my car to this Firestone for stalling, long cranking, and hesitation. They told me the fuel pump was the cause and charged me around $700 to replace it. The problem was not fixed at all -- the car had the exact same symptoms immediately afterward. When scanned again, the car showed P0335 and P0336, which are crankshaft sensor codes. That means the fuel pump was never the issue, and the original diagnosis was wrong. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, they tried to suggest more repairs unrelated to the actual problem. I'm now having to take the car somewhere else while trying to get a refund for the unnecessary repair. Extremely disappointed and want others to be aware before trusting their diagnostics. read more

DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS FIRESTONE! If I could give zero stars, I would. This location only received one star because that's the lowest option available. I booked an appointment for 6:00 PM around 1:00 PM the same day. When I arrived, I was informed that my appointment had suddenly become a "drop-off," and the service wouldn't be completed until the next day. No one from the business contacted me during the five hours prior to let me know they couldn't honor the appointment. Because of their lack of communication, I had to spend additional money on Uber rides to get home and to work the next day. When I called customer care, the representative was dismissive and unhelpful. I had to escalate the issue to a manager, who told me a district manager might follow up within 48 hours--after they already had my money. Had my car taken in to get the tires changed. They did a pre-inspection before doing the work to make sure there was no damage on my vehicle, they found none. I called literally 20 minutes before coming to the store they told me over the phone they could swap a rim out for $30 when I arrive they tell me they can't do it then denied my request to speak with management. I would leave zero stores if I could customer service is terrible never coming back to this location. Oh here is the kicker they told me they can't service because of company policy. I just called another location told them what happened and they said they will cover. THIEVES!! Brought my truck in for an alignment, to check my brakes and to fix my left headlights. After 5 hours of waiting, I came to pick it up and it wasn't completed yet. What was completed was a laundry list of items they assumed I would fix that day for over $1,000 additional to what I brought it in for. I didn't ask for a complete diagnostic test. My lights were never replaced like I asked for, both in person and on my online request form. The second I said I wasn't going to pay for any of the additional items they listed, I was not important. All because they couldn't tell me how to spend my hard earned money. I had to leave it overnight because I had to work past their closing time. Came to pick it up and it's sitting in the parking lot, dead and unable to start. But somehow they got it out to a parking spot and I've never had any issues with my truck starting up. I will report this to the BBB as these mechanics are sleazy thieves that mess with your vehicle when you don't buy what they want you to buy. The managers response was "yea your battery is dead. Want to buy a new one?" as a business owner, I could never fathom treating a customer like this, especially one that has a right to be upset and needs to have a conversation. Made an online appointment for a simple oil and filter change. They took 2+ hours while i waited in store and gave me ZERO time estimate and did not seem to be in any rush to complete my service. I had a blowout with my rental car. Enterprise partners with Firestone and you can bring your rental and they will repair it for you. Well I have to say, not only is the place immaculate everyone there is so amazing and so helpful. The staff was accommodating and made sure that my situation was taken care of promptly. There was an associate there named Amber who went way out of her way to keep me updated on the car and made sure she followed up the minute the car was done. The customer service is TOP NOTCH and I love this place and the staff so much that I am driving my car up from Orlando to buy My tires from them and have my car serviced. Never ever ever go here. I got my oil changed in December. Next time i needed a change i was down to 8% oil life in June. Dropped my car off for the change, got charged and got home and realized they didn't change it. The man the works there lied and said "i watched them change it". We took it back the next day and the manager went and looked at it and said yep that hasn't been changed the filter is old. So i bring it back the next morning, they "change it" but turns out they just set the oil life percentage back to 100% without actually changing it. Drove around for a week and bam my engine blew out. That's what happens when you drive around with no dang oil in your car. Liars and completely unacceptable. Do not GO HERE. read more

Called to see if they could do a rotation and balance on our Suburban after arriving from CA. I had 4 tires put on the truck in CA at the local Firestone shop a while back and was told that lifetime rotation and balance was included. The gentleman from this shop looked up my account and informed me that balancing wasn't included and there would be a $54 charge to do it. I didn't think it sounded right and went ahead to the Mooresville location (Another very negative experience there!!) which did the balancing/rotation at no charge. Clearly, this location was not going to honor the warranty service and was going to rip me off $50+ without any reason. Our local CA Firestone shop is pretty good, but based on the 2 experiences I've had with these 2 NC locations, I never, ever go near any of these shops. Despicable.... read more

Very dissapointing experience, will not return. I was very precise about what I needed done, taking the time to clearly articulate those things. Yet, when someone finally called me almost two hours later to provide their 'estimate' for doing the work I said I needed done, the technician not only didn't seem to know about any of those things I'd previously reported, but proceeded to tell me they recommended I get a new air filter and serpentine belt, saying the current belt was old, brittle and cracking and the air filter was very dirty. Had I been a less knowledgeable car owner, I might've fallen for that sales pitch but I happen to know that my serpentine belt was just replaced less than six months ago and the air filter was changed at my last oil change. He seemed quite proud of himself that he identified a burnt-out headlight but when I reiterated to him that there were also lights out on the back, he admitted he hadn't noticed that. Then to add insult to injury, he had a price estimate for over three hundred dollars that didn't even include all of the original items I reported. At this point I was so frustrated I said for them to forget about doing anything and I'd just come get my car...and was told the oil change was already almost finished. So much for them saying they don't proceed with anything until the client has received and approved their estimate. I am so weary of the greed in this country. I would like to personally acknowledge the excellent customer service provided by the team at Northlake. I recently purchased some tires from the Belmont location and had a blow out near Northlake. Long story short, the Belmont manager sold me some tires without a warranty from an outside distributor and told me there was nothing he could do. I was crushed to know I was taken advantage of and I would basically have to pay for tires again if something happened..... Andrew, the Northlake manager worked very hard to fix this. He was calm and patient with me the entire time and even stayed late on his anniversary day to make sure I was satisified! As a result, I was able to upgrade my tires to Firestone Bridgestone touring tires for a fraction of the cost. Because of Andrew, I now have a Firestone account and will continue to support him at the Northlake location. read more

Larry and Antwon (wasn't sure how to spell his name) were absolutely fantastic!! I drive a Wrangler without a spare tire and I heard something in my back left tire. I was near this firestone and I saw that the employees were still here even though it was about 10 minutes after closing. I asked Antwon if they were still open and he said no, and asked what my problem was. I showed him the big bolt/nail in my tire and he said he would be glad to stay late and fix it for me. They never seem To have time to work on my car when I come in but always seem to have time to do stuff where they earn big money. Inspections and oil changes are put to the bottoms of the list and you wait for hours just got to tell you something that doesn't need to be done to your car, went in to get inspection, lady in front informed the Firestone employee her check engine light was on and need a inspection and do ok and went on with her inspection, I asked for the same thing and was told "no we don't have time today" I said I don't have a check engine light on and it should be quick he proceeded to tell me they don't have time and can schedule for another day but then took the person behind me for a tire change? Thank You Firestone for making things right. From as far as I have learned and observe at this point there was some sort of communication issue from the start .. which caused them to only fix only the front brakes. Which I still cant imagine why, since the back ones were toasted too. That I definately knew. Id imagine theyd address that too in the repair assesment and billing. And I did originally mention that the sound was mostly coming from the rear driver side when I brought it in. Plus there was a phone conversation before the work began along the same lines. Anyhow .. after all is said and done .. they came through, and I feel safe again. They ended up standing firm behind the brand of Firestone. I retract my gripe and am well satisfied with the work done now. The trouble in all this saga points to the importance of clear and good communication. I take a lesson from this. We all can improve. Took my car here because I could tell something was wrong and not running right. Asked to do a complete look-over of the car. Called back the next day, still wasn't done. After 48 hours I finally received news it was done and they only found some maintenance things that needed to be replaced such as spark plugs and air filter. Not even 5 minutes after picking it up it broke down with gas leaking out of the bottom of my car. Wouldn't turn on, had to be towed back to a different shop and hundreds of $$'s later. Could have been avoided if they did a "complete look-over" of the car as I asked and told them I didn't care how much it costed as I wanted to find out what was wrong with my car. On the phone they told me "yep it's safe to drive". Clearly not! read more

Went in to buy new tires. I was told one tire had an issue with the lug nut and they would have to cut it off and I'd have to pay for an entire replacement or ride around with only 4. I was told the tire was in good condition and eventually I'd have to get it cut. Long story short. The tire caught a flat a few months after I was there. AAA came out and took the tire off with NO PROBLEM. Every time I go it's always something to try and up charge. Have not been back and will not go back for any reason. read more

Larry was extremely helpful at describing their process and very detailed when describing what work was needed. He outlined his technicians recommendations and helped find discounts on the services.
