Yesterday morning, 03/22/2026, my family and I were on our way to Carowinds when I picked up a screw in my tire. My low tire pressure light came on and I knew we needed to have the tire plugged right away. Firestone was on our way and the store was open so we pulled in. My husband explained we just needed a tire plugged so we could go on our way. My car was taken into the bay and we watched as the tire was not addressed first but the hood was raised, fluids were checked, some kind of monitor was hooked up, etc. We asked what was going on and the lady at the front desk explained that the techs do that on all cars. That may be fine for those who are not in a hurry but we already explained we just needed the tire repaired so we could go. The tech raised my car, a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport, took the tire off and rolled it off somewhere at the far end of the shop. We then saw him walking around aimlessly, puffing on a vape and took the time to drink two large cans of some type of energy drink. The lady at the front desk finally went out to, I assume, tell him that we were getting pretty angry at watching him fiddle fart around instead of doing his job so he finally fixed the tire and put it back on the vehicle. A job that should have taken about 15 minutes took almost an hour and cut into our travel time. Extraordinarily frustrating to watch someone goof off and waste time while they know someone is waiting for a simple repair. The icing on the cake was being charged $31.00 for a tire plug. Yes, Firestone was open early on a Sunday morning and I do appreciate that, but $31.00 for a $8.00 job where I literally stood and watched someone waste my time was outrageous. Will not be returning to this location for anything. Note that the lady at the front desk was very nice and did what she could to help but the tech continued to do his own thing and wander about the shop more concerned with puffing and drinking that doing his job. read more

I have used Firestone every where I have lived. I moved here in March. Everyone at my work told me don't go to this one. Against better judgment, I did. Dropped it off for an oil change and tire review. The lady attendant told me to be back at 2:00 since it was my lunch break UNLESS I heard from her. I went on my lunch to pick it up and they had not even touched it. When I asked her about it, she said she did not say that and stated that she said she would call me when it was ready. They don't have to worry about me going back. read more

I'm not really sure about the car alignment I received from you guys? I bought the vehicle in for an alignment it drove exactly the way I initially bought to you when I left. I called you guys when I returned home to inquire about the issue to be told the technician said he noticed a problem but never relayed any findings.A series of events proceeded to end up with I have a defective tire. This was grade school service and I question now did I really need an alignment or was I fleeced? What could improve is simply being brilliant at the basic!!!!! read more

Went in for 9am appointment received an oil change, two serpentine belt change, and 4 new tires even though only two tires were bad the other two was brand new, but they discounted me a little for that. Price came to over 900 dollars. The tires were 300$ ingues the other stuff plus taxes were over 600$ finally got my vehicle back at 2:45pm. I was told I needed new wipers which I denied new wipers because I just bought them a few weeks ago from auto zone. Nothing were wrong with my wipers when I turned my vehicle in. When I received my vehicle my left driver side wiper had a 2inch noticeable tear at the bottom, that looked force. If I had a noticeably tear like that I would have had no issue letting them replace them, with the amount of money I spent there it wouldn't have been an issue to replace them, but I have my receipt for my new wipers from a few weeksago purchase from auto zone. It looks like someone purposely ripped them to cover up their lie about me needing new wipers. I have been to this firestone numerous times since attending USC Columbia. At first I would have given them a good review, as the customer service was phenomenal and they completed tasks at a good retail rate. Recently, I have had two issues that needed to be addressed. After doing the math, they were theoretically charging $3,000 per hour in labor. To replace a mass airflow sensor requires unscrewing two screws, popping the sensor out, and screwing the two screws back in. That takes literally 30 seconds, and they were charging $300 in labor. In addition, it was $120 for an "engine diagnostic", which i'm assuming is them just reading the code from the OBD, which I had done for free at advanced auto. They came back and told me the exact thing I already told them, but it cost me $120. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with the store lately, and I will 100% never return again. Little over a week ago; we left my wife's car overnight, but ultimately declined service, speaking to the employee Charles multiple times. When we showed up to pick up the car, the hood was left popped open, the car was littered with trash, about $400 in items had been stolen, and 2 auto tools were left in the front seat of the car. We brought it up to the employee Charles, who was now claiming his name was "Paul" despite clearly wearing a nametag, and he essentially said they didn't have cameras, and didn't know anything about the theft. Police came, took a statement, and no real results. Wife called the Firestone complaint line, but they never responded. Not sure who ended up with our belongings, all we know is that this happened while at the Firestone, Charles was giving us someone else's name, and there were auto tools left in the car, which were handed over to the police. Will never bring another vehicle to that Firestone again, and would strongly encourage any potential customers to doublecheck your car for valuables, and to get the correct names of every single employee. read more

I was on a road trip with my family and my vehicle started showing some signs as though something was wrong. I just had it serviced so I was not all too concerned, after ignoring some signs at first they became worse. I googled spots to stop and get it looked at, as for it being a saturday I had limited options. I chose firestone on Garners Ferry Rd in Columbia, SC. They helped diagnose the problem, walked me through what happened, fixed the problem, insured my safety, gave me and my family free lunch, and did this all for free read more

Got my car back from them and everything in the car was gone. Either they left it unlocked or one of their employees cleaned it out. When I called them about it they just said that they are not responsible for the items in the car. Would not recommend leaving your car with them. read more

After hunting all over town for a reasonably priced tire I was ready to give up. On a whim I went to firestone, but figured it would be too expensive. They had some of best prices I had found. The tires are a brand I trust and the service provided was exceptional. I was already spending quite a bit on truck tires and unlike other places they didn't try to gouge me with extra unnecessary repairs. They were honest and informative, they made me feel comfortable with my purchase (and I'm one to have buyers remorse). My sales man and technician kept me informed on what was being done and taught me all about my tires and what the paperwork was. I will be bring my other truck here when it's time for new tires. read more

Worst experience took my vehicle in for a 15 minute tire rotate and balance. After 4 hours my vehicle had not been touched. So I call to the manager who then could not find my vehicle which was right in front of his sales counter. After sitting on hold for 17 minutes with the manager Charles brown I hang up and drive over to pick up my vehicle to find it has still not been serviced. I would never spend a penny with this band again. This is the type of service you should find in a 3rd world country. read more

I made an appointment and my husband called and told them exactly what part to order and they said it would be there when I arrived. So I get there and I tell them my story and they take my truck into the garage.. then an hour later they come into the waiting room and tell me they cant find anything wrong with the part I needed replaced then they take me back to see my truck and and asked if I saw something wrong with the part and I was like YES!! then they where like realized.. next thing ya know they hadent ordered the part yet so I had to wait another hour for it to get there. Then they try to tell me it takes an hour to do a job that should take 15 min at the most. so I was a little pissed. But what really made me mad was the entire time I was in the waiting room (3 hours) I herd employees yelling and goofing off in the the shop. But other than all that the building was clean and neat and the staff was nice. read more

Today I received an oil change at this facility on the recommendation of my daughter. I would not go back. I use to go there years ago when I had a different vehicle. I couldn't remember why I stopped. Today refreshed my memory. I called a week ago and scheduled an appointment for 9:00 am. When I got there at 8:45, I was told I did not not have an appointment. The young lady at the desk even had the nerve to ask me if I had the right location. Clearly if she was able to pull up my information with my current vehicle, I must had spoken to someone. After telling me I could either schedule an appointment for another day or wait and be worked in, I opted to wait. My car was serviced two hours later. What really got me upset was the fact that I was charged for this oil change when clearly I was gravely inconvenienced. And to add insult to injury, another patron informed me that the same thing happened to her once but what made her continue to come back was the fact that they did not charge her for her oil change. read more
