Horrible place to get your oil change from! I went and paid $120 for an oil change for my 2023 Nissan Rogue. I started having issues with my car, and an emergency popup showed the next day. I take it to the mechanic, they never changed the oil, spilled oil onto other compartments of the car where the oil burned. I am extremely disappointed, especially with this being my first and LAST TIME. On two separate occasions there have not replaced the caps properly back on. The first time they didn't replace the cap on my windshield wiper fluid. Leading to debris in the container and clogged my system. My dealership had to cleaned the line. The second time they did not attach my radiator cap properly. Over 100 miles from my town, in 97 degree weather, my cap came off and my engine overheated. When I opened my hood I saw the pink fluid all over my engine. I know it was the coolant fluid because during my oil change they showed me the pink liquid stating I'd need a to flush my system soon and they tried to get me to add the service at that time. I declined. I barely drove my car for a week, so the pressure was never high in my radiator until I left town for the long drive. I was stranded in the heat, pulled over in the mud in a different town waiting for a tow truck to find me in a town I don't know well. I couldn't get in touch with Take 5 as their automated phone system kept trying to connect me a person, but would route me directly to a survey of the service I received. I don't receive any service. Possible because it was a Saturday. I had to work Monday and the dealership for my car (in that town) said they were closing can and the serviced department wouldn't be open until Monday morning. Thank God I had cash on me and was able to pay people for help because I had to work on Monday and I wasn't prepared to spend. The hotels were super expensive due to graduation weekend. Take 5 is hard to get in touch with. On Monday I called and they emailed me a claims number, no forms, no call backs, no follow up. Just the claim number and no instructions. I have waited almost a week before I posted this hoping to have a resolution. I definitely want to get my engine flushed as I now have two different coolants in my system, a new cap, my engine needs to be cleaned since that pink splatter is cooked on my car engine. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. I went to this Take 5 Oil change (#0088) at 4720 Devine Street on 3/10/2023 for an oil change. The oil filter was not tightened and oil leaked steadily from my truck on to my driveway. I took it back to them and explained that oil is leaking, the technician gas lighted me and said nothing is leaking. They didn't give me a refund when asked and they were extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to take my truck to another location for an oil change to be done correctly. read more

I have gone twice. Each experience has been unique but not all in good or bad ways, just unique. They brought me water which I found very kind, especially as you have to be out in the SC heat without HVAC for the service. Staff was really helpful and they taught me some interesting tidbits about my car which I really appreciated. 25% off for military is a great perk! It really does only take about 15 mns, which is great so you can check off another errand and get back to your life. The location is great for us as well. I would give this place less than one star if I could. Never take your vehicle here. They removed my coolant hose and did not replace it properly. This led to my coolant pouring out of my car and my engine over heating. I had to have my car towed and taken to mechanic who CLEARLY noted it happened due to being removed to change filter and not being reinstalled properly. On 04/26/2021 my son brought his 2007 Tahoe to Take 5 Oil Change #0088 at 4720 Devine St. Columbia, SC 29209 at 3:04 pm invoice number 75237 totaling $98.01 He received an oil change & also purchased a filter. On 04/28/21 approximately 10:30 pm as he drove down Garners Ferry Rd his vehicle suddenly cut off in traffic, he restarted his vehicle trying to get to safety on Caughman Rd his vehicle low engine pressure light came on then it started dinging & a message stating please stop engine came on. As he pulled into the Caughman park, parking lot the vehicle cut off for the second time & wouldn't come back on. Ted the store manager came to our home to inspect the vehicle, he took a gallon worth of oil from the truck then started it revved the gas pedal & dark liquid shot and ran from the exhaust pipe . Ted then had the vehicle towed to Precision Auto Tune on Garners Ferry Rd to have that shop complete the repairs. Because they have a good rapport with the company & that's where all the vehicles that have had problems go. District Manager Keegan Jindra has taken over & is on a witch hunt trying to find inconsistencies & requesting extra test searching for a reason to deny this claim because a new engine from Precision cost $5901.22 plus tax & a car rental for someone under age for just 5 days is $673.67. We were told by Ted the truck is supposed to have 6 quarts of oil & somehow it has approx. 9 quarts in the truck, so based on those basic calculations no matter what Keegan says or does it doesn't negate the fact that the vehicle was overfilled with oil by your crew. I have contacted your customer service line by voicemail, email, now website asking for someone other than Ted or Keegan to contact me. Because Ted doesn't have any information & Keegan has terrible customer etiquette & won't provide his supervisors information. I need for this company to take ownership of the mistake they made in the overfilling of oil in my sons' truck which caused the vehicle severe engine damage, need of a new one! they need to take full responsibility for the payment for the repairs & rental that's required to make my son whole. read more

Great service! Everyone was so polite and quick from the moment I pulled up! I usually hate going to get an oil change because it takes forever and they are so pushy about getting extra stuff done and up selling that I just avoid it when I can. Totally new experience here! You stay in your car the whole time, and they offer you a drink while the team changes your oil. They let you know what they are doing the whole time, and offer upgrades but don't push them on you. They offer a military appreciation discount, but even without it their prices are fair and comprable to other area shops.
