Basically told me what they thought I wanted to hear to buy more time, none of which was true (I'm a mechanic but the warranty company form the car I bought authorized only Firestone for repairs, convenient). Horribly disappointed with quality of work, communications within the shop, amount of time for repairs completion, cleanliness of vehcile once returned, professionalism needs to go a great distance from where it's at to resemble a "professional" shop. Here is a good review about Firestone...It is not far from Sun Valley Mall and Safeway. Richmond Firestone only has Walmart waking distance. What I like about Firestone in Pleasant Hill is that I got good service from them. Not only did I get a Wheel Alignment but they make sure that my car is in working condition...Honda Dealership doesn't do with honesty. I have gone to this location for my Wheel Alignment. Here is a surprise...Firestone and Wheel Works are the same company. I never knew that until I got my Wheel Alignment done here. When I pass by this location I just thought it was a busy location but when I made an appointment I got my car back within 30-60 minutes. I am impress how fast service this place is. With the COVID-19 pandemic Firestone makes sure that the customer is taken care of. I seen Firestone clean their seats after the customer leaves. I am impress how far apart the seats are from each other. They are making sure for the customer safety. If you can not wait for your car to be service this would be the place to go to. This afternoon I took my truck to this place for a complete inspection for mechanical problems. The person who helped me at the front told me that they could inspect it so I had to leave the car because they were very busy. He left the car and 2 hours later he called me and told me that they couldn't inspect my car because the manager didn't want to. because he doesn't want to service my cars in this place. Recently I had to have one of those donut spare tires mounted on a wheel. Initially it sounded like it would not be possible. The great thing is that their team works as a team. One of the other team members asked me some questions about the size of the wheel and tire. Informed me that those donut spares don't need to be balanced and it should be ok. He came out to the car, helped me with bringing in the wheel and tire... had the work done right away (took about 15 minutes) and off I went. This level of service and team work will bring me back. This used to be a good place many years ago.. now there's always a different person in charge at the front counter. Last time I came in they told me I needed over $1,500 worth of work done on my car. But they failed to tell me I needed work done that I knew I needed done. They cannot be trusted I will never let them touch my car again. Then 2 hours later they requested more pms then only after asking on it they followed up on the questions that my fleet management asked them. I'm not bringing it back to this Firestone. I came in to fix a flat tire and get an oil change. They couldn't fix my flat but offered to put my spare on for me free of charge. They told me the car would be ready in 1-1.5 hours. It ended up taking over 3.5 hours for me to get my car back. Absolutely ridiculous. If it was going to take that long I would've been okay with it if I was given that time frame ahead of time, but instead I came back at the 1.5 hour mark and had to sit here for 2 additional hours. It was a waste of my entire day. If you want to go to them, make sure you have your whole day free and do not believe the time that they quote you. read more

I'm currently in the lobby, I just walked in with my two kids because I came out to a completely flat tire in the back and a screw in the front. The woman working the counter (I think her name is Stevie) is awesome she gave me a quote on the tires then ran downstairs to confirm they were actually all in stock (getting the 4 done since I'm here) and got one of her techs right on it. I needed a tire repair and called before 9am. I was told it was best to make an appointment and was given earliest available at 3pm. I arrived on time and when I asked when to expect the work completed I was told it would take an hour to get to it and another hour to do the work. I asked why I was told to make an appointment and the clerk told me to look and see how busy they were. At 4:30 my car was still in the parking lot and another customer sitting next to me was on his phone explaining his frustration at having his appointment at 2pm and still waiting for his car to be brought in to the shop for a tire repair. Suspicious work and lazy practices. I remember coming here maybe three years ago to get a standard oil change and what have you. They used to throw in a complimentary tire rotation, but one day, they just stopped, claiming that someone complained that they didn't ask for a rotation. That was a pretty bad lie, since it was pretty clear that they're hoping to make a few extra bucks on rotations. A couple weeks ago, my mom took her car in for an oil change and rotation, and when my dad popped the hood just to check everything, he asked her where the oil dipstick was. That was news to my mom, and then she had to call back to find out what happened. They told her they didn't know, and their manager said he'll tell everyone to keep an eye out for it. When she followed up, they said that that was the first time they had heard of the missing dipstick. My personal issue comes with them because last week, 10/5/2020, I was leaving home to get a haircut when I saw the check tire pressure light pop up on my dashboard. I knew it wasn't a big deal, since there was a drop in the temperature. I looked at the clock and decided I could make a quick detour to Firestone before getting to my appointment with my barber. The PSI thing on my car's door said the recommended tire pressure was 33. The guy at Firestone put his meter up to 33 and moved on. I trusted him since he told me I was set and good to go. When I backed out to leave, I noticed my air pressure light was still on. I shrugged it off, thinking that was normal, since if I just move my car around, the light will turn off when my car's computer detects adequate air pressure. I drove my car all the way over to my barbershop and the light still didn't turn off. I thought maybe the computer needed more time, so I didn't think too much of it. When I was done with my cut, I got back into the car, ready to go home. As I was getting closer to home, I noticed the tire pressure light still wouldn't turn off, so that was when I realized Firestone didn't do something right, so I decided to take my car over to Costco. The guys at Costco taught me about how the temperature of the tires can impact everything, so they told me to go a little higher in tire pressure. I set the meter to 37, and after filling all my tires to make sure all four were good, I backed out of Costco, and right as I was pulling out of the Costco parking lot, the tire pressure light went off, so I knew Costco did something right, and Firestone did something wrong. read more

**MUST READ** I purchased new tires with a warranty on 10-13-19. I ran over a nail 4 moths later. I had put just over 6,000 miles on their 40,000 mile tires. The tire was not repairable so it needed replacement. Under their (HORRIBLE) warranty, they claim my tire was about 50% worn. And I would have to pay $35 for the new tire (warranty would cover the rest) and $35 for labor. $73.04 to replace a "warranted" tire that I purchased for $54.97 with 6,000 miles on it. I paid $81.21 with installation....That is the worst warranty I have ever heard of in ANY business. That is the last time I will ever give Firestone my business! BEWARE!! read more

I went there because one of my tires was low, so Firestone kindly inflated all four tires at no charge. Unfortunately, the one tire was damaged and completely flat the next day. I returned (with an appointment) to purchase two new tires. Wait time was supposed to be 90 minutes. After 2 hours my car was still in the bay and the spare hadn't yet been removed. Unfortunately, Firestone's computer system overbooks appointments, resulting in long wait times. Other than that, the employees were very friendly and professional. Terrible experience. I just wanted my tires rotated. It took them almost two hours to do that. It would have taken them longer except i started to complain that my car has been up on the rack with the tires off for almost an hour. The mechanic told me it hasn't been up on the rack that long. I didn't want to argue with him so I just waited for him to put the tires on my car. When the mechanic finally got the tires on my car the guy at the cash register told me I needed brake fluid exchange, and fuel system cleaning. Total would be $264.72. I didn't trust the mechanic rotating my tires, so why would I have him do any more work on my car? I told the person at the counter I just wanted my car, and I just wanted to get out of there. He then told me I had to pay for the rotation. I can"t believe he was trying to charge me for the rotation. When I bought the tires they said all tire rotations would be free. After arguing with hIm the other person at the counter told me it was just a mistake, and I wouldn't be charged for the rotation. What a nightmare. Stay away from this place! read more

With regards to the Firestone facility in Concord on Contra Costa Blvd (near Sun Valley Mall). I have purchased my last 3 sets of tires from them with mixed reviews. I stopped in today to see about getting a tire replaced that I blew out in Vancouver WA and the technician behind the counter said that I would have to make an appointment for next Wednesday which is 6 days out. So, just to TALK to them about replacing a single tire, I have to wait almost a week? That is absurd. They are not "booked". They are incompetent. There was only 1 other customer (buying a new battery) in the entire store. So, I'm not sure why he could not talk with me after finishing up with his current customer. I need a new tire because, while on road-trip, I blew out a tire in Vancouver WA by clipping a curb when pulling into a gas station. Doh! The tires and truck are brand new (about 5k miles on them). After installing the spare, I found a Firestone in Vancouver that would install a single tire for me that day. It's not identical, but the same size and would allow me to get home safely. After about a 90-minute wait, I was back on the road. The Vancouver store was all booked up when I got there, so I had to wait for a technician to finish up before they would install on my tire which is all I could ask for. I can only imagine what it would have been like if I was from WA and blew out a tire here in Concord. This is my 2nd negative experience with this store, so I'm done. After 3 sets of tires, I'm going to take any remaining business elsewhere. Too bad too because they are so close to my home. read more

I walked up to the counter and simply asked if she could check to see if they had a tire I was interested in stock. She abruptly asked my make/model/year of vehicle. I stated I knew the size. She quickly insulted me with a flippant comment not needing load & speed requirements then. I immediately told her I didn't appreciate the smartass comment. She clearly was not interested in providing customer service. I am a 20 year professional fleet manager managing over 3000 assets in the Bay Area. I know tires. I took the time to check all the specs before I drove over. I will never go back to Firestone and hope all of you heed the same warning. My family and I have had an account with Firestone since AT LEAST 2005. I make an appointment, get my alignment and vehicle inspection, then I'm out of there in about an hour. I have never brought my higher end vehicles to Firestone, and I never will. Today, I waited 1.5 hours and my car hasn't even been touched. Apparently making an appointment is now invalid, and I actually lost a lot of money just waiting there. The only woman in the shop,Stevie, is normally nice and all, but I don't think she knows how to handle business, nor does she know how to properly schedule appointments to avoid overflow. I make appointments, aren't appointments given priority when they arrive on time? I kept my cool with her, but yet all she did was give me a disrespectful attitude when I asked if my car was ready. Keep in mind, I was here a week prior WITH an appointment, but the gentleman I spoke to ended up not even scheduling me for an appointment when I called. The mechanic with a hat and long curly hair that came to me and gave me a proper update afterwards, and somewhat of an explanation is what made me a little less frustrated. Props to him, seriously. And of course, right after that, my car goes in the shop. Ironic how that works. I didn't even need to curse them out and cause a scene like I've seen people do here several times. After 2 hours and 45 minutes, I was able to leave with the car. Kevin worked on my car, and I would have loved to give him props personally. I felt it would be an injustice to give this place less then 5 stars. I came with a flat tire. I explained to Ryan, I'm my husband's sole caretaker with much limited time. My husband has Alzheimer's/dementia, and currently under the hospice care. Upon hearing that, Ryan, immediately gave my paperwork to Declan who did an outstanding work in the shortest possible time. To top it all off, Firestone didn't charge me for the service!!! I came in with a heavy heart, but left with joy knowing there are still people in this world who are capable of empathy. Yesterday, I left my Acura MDX to get an alignment. I was told that the vehicle would be done by 10am, which it was. I signed my receipt, and received little explanation on what their findings were. It was a little concerning because I initially came in for rear tire inner wear. The technician, Arman, claims that the toe was grossly out on ALL tires. So, he brought it into spec and I didn't really think much of it. Now after picking it up and driving for about 30 minutes I noticed that the wheel was not straight! I called Firestone and spoke with John and he said they would take a look at it... unfortunately I was an hour away. So I finally make it back to the shop and was greeted by Jennifer. I explained to her what happened and they said they would take a look at it. I then realized that this is a normal occurrence at the firestone. This store was not apologetic at all. Not once did I ever get apologized to for the inconvenience. They finally called me when the alignment was finished. I then brought up one of my initial concerns with the alignment which is my rear right camber. The rear right camber was the ONLY wheel out of tolerance. They said no adjustment can be made. However, I showed them previous alignment reports and my camber has always met tolerance!!! I don't think this shop takes the time to really examine or troubleshoot the vehicles brought in. Made an appointment for 9am. Dropped my van off 10 mins early. Waited around the mall for a few hours, called to check on the status at 12:30. No answer so I walked back. They hadn't even started on it. If this is how long appointments take, walk-ins must be a nightmare. At least they got the oil change and tire rotation done, and being a fleet vehicle, they added brakes to the requested service. Brakes are still squealing though. What a joke. read more
