Aguilar Tires is open on Sundays, and saved the day! Our tire engine light went off a day or so ago, and I didn't want to take it to the dealer. It has been so cold lately, we thought it tire pressure change that set the light off...luckily Aguilar Tires took care of it quickly and with care. Jonay was so helpful , said it would be a bit while they took care of a couple of cars. They found a nail and fixed it. It only cost $30, and we were on our way. Disappointed by unfair pricing and customer service. Today, I took my Rivian in for a simple tire rotation. As soon as the technician saw the truck, he quoted $120, claiming the process is "very complicated." I even offered to supply the proper lifting pads (pucks) needed for Rivians, but he refused to adjust the price and brushed it off with a smirk. I took my business elsewhere. read more

I'm writing this review specifically to thank Angel for helping me today with my tire. I was extremely frustrated and honestly didn't know what to do I just pulled up hoping someone could help. Angel assisted me right away. He immediately made me feel welcome, offered me water, and could clearly tell I was stressed. He reassured me not to worry and let me know he would take care of everything and get me back on the road as soon as possible and he did exactly that. rant I went I went to this place to get my tires mounted, and I noticed it when I left a couple days later than my truck had a wobble I returned to tell them that my truck was out of balance and they blamed my wheels because they said I purchase used . The service was fast and okay which is the only reason they got two stars. If you're looking for used tires you can be sure that they will lie to you on how much thread is left on the phone. Prices were okay, but be sure to ask to check the remaining thread on the tire before installing. Absolutely Terrible Service - Stay Away One star is Toooo much for it. "Not sure if this person is messing with me on purpose or if they have some kind of mental issue, but the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I had a flat tire on the highway, and since my car doesn't have a spare, I had it towed to American Tire, where I have a tire warranty. They would replace the tire for free, but the wait was over 2 hours, and I didn't have time to wait. Right across the street was Aguilar Tire Shop, which looked empty. I asked the man there (a chubby Latino guy) how long it would take to replace the tire. He said "right now" and quoted me $150 cash. I agreed, thinking it would be quick. But after taking off my tire, he went back inside to work on another car and left me waiting. I asked again after 30 minutes, and he told me "10 minutes." But again, nothing happened. It honestly felt like he was purposely making me wait, just because he knew I was in a rush. It seemed like he was doing it to mess with me or piss me off on purpose, like he disliked me for some reason. Extremely unprofessional and rude behavior. After almost an hour, he finally installed the tire. I then asked for a receipt, and again he told me to wait "10 minutes." I had no more time to waste, so I left without a receipt. This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. If he's an employee, and he knows I am on rush he won't give me a receipt he's probably stealing from the owner. If he's the owner, he's running a shady, cash-only business that likely evades taxes and disrespects customers. read more

We have needed two tire repairs, the first time on a Sunday when most places were closed or backed up and the second time on a major holiday (we're just really lucky when it comes to timing, I guess!). Both times we went to Aguilar Tires, who took care of our tire without needing an appointment. Don't know too much about the tire monitor system in my vehicle, but, in my last service in this tire store, I bought 2 tires. I knew from prior services that newer tires have to be installed on rear axle to help stability, but in this case they assured it was the opposite, and refused to do it as required. The worse came when I realized that none of the air sensors from the tire monitor system was working after the service, and they tried to sell me each one in $90.00. My truck had only one wheel sensor failing, but suddenly the other 3 are bad too, no matter they shouldn't touch the rear tires. I had to come back to claim, and they check again with a tester, but didn't want to take responsibility on the issue. I believe they damaged or stole the sensors to try to sell later. Never come back there, and I recommend to be aware of this bad practices. read more

I had a leaking tire with a screw or nail a couple inches from dead centered on the tire. The bigger shops wouldn't take it citing their corporate policies. Must be their insurance policy, even though not much risk. My alternative was to replace this fairy new tire that costs $150+ This would have been routine a few years ago. With fully respect , STAY AWAY from this tire shop, they are just okay to fix your flat tires, that's it. I checked with them about my car and some noise on my front wheels and they recommend to replace 2 shocks mount and can fix it easily. They also recommended to change 2 front tires and brake pads, finally raised the price on parts and COULD NOT fix it. As I said they are just okay to fix flat tires. Nice people but no knowledge about anything else. Don't waste your time and money. Very sorry to say that but I feel very bad about this location. $800 for 2 used tires and 2 other things and still not fixed ???? Not fair and not acceptable. read more

Stay away from this place! I went last week and watched them work on my car. First they over tightened my lug bolts with the impact gun then said here finished. I asked them "excuse me aren't you going to torque the bolts down" his response "Go to America's tires and wait two three hours" I'm like so what you don't do a good job here? That's not safe. We found a piece of metal in the tire called the shop, even though they were going to close soon she told us to come down and drive safely. They were able to assess the situation and had a tire that would fit if we needed it. Thankfully there wasn't a leak they filled the tires and NO Chatrge. I hate having to write negative a post about a shop I've been coming to for years. However I came in to have aguilars tire swap 4 tires onto my car. ive never had an issue with this shop before. I've come here enough to know that I always have to go back and change my tire pressures due to them inflating them to 48psi to pop the head(which is a common practice in the industry) However this time it's inexcusable issues. First issue is damage to 3 out of 4 wheels. the factory powder coating is stripped off of the wheels. Each wheel from Subaru cost 369$The car is a 2020 so the wheel had no issues of being old and issues prior to arrival. However the larger issue is that all 4 of my wheels were not torqued down. By the time I got home(5miles away) every lug nut was hand tight. That can be a catastrophic problem if the wheels came off. sad to say i will not be coming back to aguilars tires after coming here for years. Helping this local business has left me with over 1000$ in damages for something easyily avoidable. One of my wheels cracked from hitting a pothole so I decided to get new rims from a 3rd Party. Upon arrival of my rims, I called multiple shops and Aguilar Tires hands-down had the best prices in Contra Costa County (for balancing, mounting, installation, and discarding [of my old rims]). This evening, I discovered a nail lodged in my tire after driving my husband home from dropping off his car at the dealership for routine service (go figure). Unfortunately, he needed to drive my car the next morning to an important work event - so we had to find someone to patch the hole ASAP! Costco turned us away but we called Aguilar Tires and they got us in immediately despite working on a few other cars. Their prices were reasonable and their service was speedy - we were in and out within 30 mins. We really appreciated their team's kindness and efficiency! Aguilar Tires is an amazing organization. I received nothing less than "World Class Customer Service" from them. Here's the scoop; I was attempting to make a return trip home to New Mexico after spending two and a half months visiting my family in California. I had my trailer all hooked up to my 2002 Ford F250 Super Duty when I discover my right front tire had a consistent air leak coming from the valve stem. It's a Sunday with one of the heaviest rain storms I've seen since being here. I do a search for anyone open on a Sunday and lo and behold Aguilar is open! I call them and explain the issue and ask if they can get me in. They graciously said "bring it right in." So I drive the short distance and when I arrived I was met with nothing but gracious and accommodating service. It turned out all it was is the interior valve stem needed to be screwed down tight which they accomplished in like five minutes. But they go above and beyond for concern for me making a long trip home safely. They take the tire off and put it in the tire water tank to make sure there were no more leaks, put it back on then soapy water test all the other valve stems on the remaining tires to make sure they were fine. On top of all that they did not charge me but suggested I tip the tire guy which I generously do. They got me out of a tough bind and on the road. This organization rocks and I highly, highly recommend them. read more

I wouldve gave 5 but when i went to get the alignment i was told to come back at a certain time since there were cars infront of me. I came back at the specified time and they said other cars came so i still had to wait longer. After getting the alignment and driving the car I noticed the steering wheel was off centered. Called to go back in and they said they had people in line and to come back hours later. I get it but i feel like if the job wasn't 100% then you should be pushed to next in line to fix the error. Came back the next day as they told me to. When arrived they told me the alignment guy didnt come to work and to come back another day. Called and came in on a Sunday and they were able to check my car tires immediately. However, despite checking in advance the prices for tire check and repair, they still managed to make me feel cheated. I asked how much was it to check the tires, they told me "$10". I figured I need it checked quickly and so didn't mind the small fee even though many places I've heard don't charge anything for this. Turn out no tire repair was needed but when I checked out it became "$20" .... Front desk lady then said it's because it's "$10 per tire" and they checked two tires. I didn't even ask them to check both tires bc it was clear which tire was flat. ‍ $20 just to get tirea checked, without any repair! Found this place while searching dor a shop to install my tires of my wheels. They successfully and easily installed my 245/35/19 on my 10.5 wide wheels. And it was only 35$ a wheel! Was supper happy especially since they are open on sundays. Only issue is that they didnt use my original valve stem cap what was a metal cap that i had payed good money for. They replaced it with a plastic cap. read more

While the service is good, it's the dishonesty that's bothersome. I've come several times to fix flat tires or tires with a nail in them. Depending on the car I bring in, they always give me a different price. From 25 to 60 to 75. I brought in the same car two or three times now and each time I get a different price. read more

Commenting on the excellent customer service that I received from Omar today: When I started driving my car this morning, I noticed a terrible scraping noise and pulled over on a residential street to see what it was. A nice gentleman by the name of George who lived in the neighborhood was able to temporarily tie it together for me and recommended that I go to Aguilar tires to get it fixed. He told me to ask for Pablo and to tell him that he sent me over. I took his advice and drove to the the tire shop which was located down the road off of Monument blvd. I pulled in and I was greeted right away by Omar. I asked Omar if Pablo was around, and he said that he was out for the day, but that he could assist me. I told him what had happened, and he got down and took a peak underneath my car. He informed me that both of my engine splash shields were broken, and even pointed it out for me so that I could see it for myself. Unfortunately, they didn't have these kind of car parts since they are a tire center. He told me that I could probably get these parts for cheap from the dealership and that they would probably cost around $30 each. I later ended up calling the dealership to get an accurate price and they quoted me a bogus $234 total for JUST the parts. However, I did eventually end up finding some parts on Amazon for a price closer to what Omar had originally quoted. Omar told me to come back to the shop once I got the replacement parts. He offered to install them for me when I came back. I thought it was a really nice gesture since this is something that they don't normally do. I actually ended up taking the whole thing off by myself and have figured out how easy it is to install (thanks to some Youtube videos! What would I do without you YouTube?). I've been in many situations where mechanics have tried to take advantage of my novice car knowledge or who have offered no help if it didn't benefit them in the end. Even though Omar didn't fix my issue, he went out of his way to assist me the best way that he could. I truly admire honest business professionals like Omar. Although I may not come back to have him install the engine splash shields, I will definitely come back to have him look at my tires. I even called my regular auto maintenance shop (Concord tire center) and they quoted me $60 just to screw some nails back into it. This just goes to show you that there are still honest people around. Thanks Omar for your generous help and exceptional customer service! Just came out of this place and this place is a scam. Charging my father-in-law for a trailing arm that did not need to get replace. On top of that they did not want to provide any legal document for the recommended work or a final receipt after touching the vehicle. I am super furious and this is super illegal without a sign repair order of authorization or no receipt violates every thing about the BAR. My father-in-law has spent over 10 grand at this place and has never gotten a receipt. A while back they did a timing belt job here and they use the same water pump and tensioner. They wouldn't release the vehicle to me even tho I am on the registration which I did not understand. I am still legal to pick up my own vehicle if I let my father bring it in. read more
