I was driving down 69 during a huge rain storm and there was a huge puddle that i hit going around 60 mph. A few minutes later i heard a thumping sound coming from under my feet. I pulled off the highway and firestone happened to be there. They said they could check it out the same day. It ended up being just a piece of loose plastic and they fixed and it didn't end up charging us anything. Great customer service and great care for your cars. First and foremost I would like to thank Firestone for being the first company that I have had the pleasure to write a review for. I have been bringing my car in for oil changes at Firestone for the last 2 years, so when the time came around to get all new brakes, I was happy to give them my service. This marks the start of the most regrettable mechanic visit I have experienced so far. The first red flag that the job was not going to go well was the associate telling me how they are "soo" over-booked for the day and asked if I would be flexible in moving my appointment. I scheduled my appt a week prior so I felt that it was a bit of an unreasonable ask, not to mention I dropped my car off before 10am appt. It was apparent that the shop was busy and even a bit frantic. An indication that a company may not be managed well, OR, that their only goal is to get as many bodies through the door as possible, regardless of the quality of work performed. After work I went to pick up the car paid over $1200 for the repairs. The tech handed me my keys and told me drive the car for a couple days and if I felt anything off, I should bring it back and the warranty will cover it. I no sooner take my 30 minutes drive home and I start experiencing my steering wheel shake significantly when braking, and 2 lights keep blinking on my dash indiscriminately; the emergency brake light and the traction control light. None of those being the As soon as I noticed this, I followed the tech's instructions and reached out to the store manager to re-book an appt. I brought my car in on 6/26 and the soonest they could book me was July 9th. I understood as the holiday was right around the corner, but in an effort not to cause any unnecessary damage, I chose not to drive, putting me out of a vehicle for nearly 2 weeks. Nevertheless I took my car into my 8:30am appointment. I did not hear any diagnosis until 1:30pm. The manager very nonchalantly told me that there were no issues with my brakes, and instead the hub bearings are shot and it is going to cost me an extra $1,000 to repair, I just needed to give him the 'Okay'. Obviously, you could imagine my confusion. I was not experiencing any of these issues before bringing my car in, yet miraculously, just miles after the initial Firestone visit, my dash is lighting up like a Rockefellar Tree Lighting Ceremony and my steering wheel is shaking like Michael J. Fox in a polar vortex. After pleading my case to the store manager (Josh), he was unable to be convinced that these events coincided with one another and explained it as simply, an unfortunate happenstance. Josh determined that the steering wheel shake and the traction control light were merely a symptom of the bearing. Oh, and that silly parking brake light? Don't worry, that only stayed on because they didn't fill the brake lines all the way up after the job. All of this I believe would have been caught by a technician if they took a proper drive after performing the work. At this point my vehicle is still not repaired and Firestone has been completely void of any positive customer service attributes. Firestone's customer service model consists of them sending you a review to fill out and if you leave a bad enough review, they will provide you a spot to leave your phone number, and if you are lucky enough, they just might call you. If I were to list out a few lessons learned they would be: 1. Only bring your vehicles to Firestone if you want them to return it to you in worse condition. 2. Worst customer service, so rude. I waited an hour an a half for an appointment then left. I made the appointment a week in advance and they didn't have my part in stock. They never updated me just had me sit there. After i left they called and said it would be there in 2 hours. So they were going to have me wait a half a day because of their mistake. The manager is informative and receptive to any questions I have. I watched the staff while I was waiting. They all kept busy. Incredible experience! The night before Thanksgiving, prepping for holiday travel, a tire started severely leaking air. We had a bad stem valve. I called at 5:25. They were short-staffed and had closed at 5:00, but the manager was sticking around. After describing the situation, he said he'd be happy to stick around and help, which he did, with over-the-top excellence! Not only did he replace the valve, but in the process found half a screw in the tire and made the repair without charging us for it! The customer service was always friendly and personable, but they totally pulled the wool over my eyes. I've taken my car in three times, only to discover they charged me for a new battery as well as the service charge for putting it in, yet never changed my old battery out in the first place. They let components of my car loose and hanging, cut wires they never fixed, and even busted the lock of my trunk (why they needed in there, I have no idea.) My car left their business with more check lights on than when it came. When I finally discovered the battery was the same old battery I initially had and that these lights were from their mishandling of my car, I called to demand answers and a fix of the problem. They would not even say they were sorry, but said to take the car in and they would "see what they're working with". Their personable attitude completely masked the deceit they pulled, and I'm asking anyone that goes here to please double check that they do as they say hey did. Luckily I kept all my records and receipts. I will be getting my lawyer involved, and the Better Business Bureau as well. Just please think twice before going here. I'm still stuck paying off hundreds of dollars for a battery and services they never even gave me. read more

The bad reviews are legit! I brought my car in for a front and rear brake service since I knew the pads were worn down and the rear was grinding pretty bad. Tyler the "salesman" quoted a full front and rear brake service which included rotors and drums. They also recommended servicing the radiator because the fluid was low in the reservoir tank, even though I got it service about 10k miles ago. The quoted total was a little over 1k -_- Onto the brake service...I authorized the front rotors and pads to be done, no problem. They determined the rear drum needed readjusting, ok. The service was done, I get in the car and immediately can tell something was off. The brake pedal and e-brake pressure was the same prior to me bringing it in. From my experience, when you get brakes done, the brake pedal pressure is hard, not soft. As I continued to drive throughout the end of the day, the rear grinding cameback. I bring it in the next morning to have them check it out. After 1hr and 30min of waiting, the manager put 2 technicians on my car to complete what should have been done from the beginning. The manager had the nerve to say, "fixed at no extra cost". Wrong! I had to miss a few hours of work because you clowns didn't do the job correctly the first time. Overall the front brakes seem ok but the rear grinding has returned again. I'm going to bring into a more reputable specialized place that can take a second look at the rear and even the front to make sure Firestone completed the job I paid them to do. It's really sad that their customer service is so poor. I can forgive the poor workmanship but to not show any concern for correcting their past mistakes is concerning. I had 2 new tires put on my vehicle Sunday afternoon. They were not balanced properly and unsafe to drive on the highway. I also paid to have my back 2 Firestone tires "rebalanced". The car was returned to me with the tire inflation light on and no mention of an issue. I'm left to believe they didn't even check the back tires. When I returned the day after Christmas at 7am to have the issue corrected, I was asked if I had an appointment since there's only one guy working....as of 8:09am, neither he nor the customer service guy have worked on one car. It really is sad to see how little they care about their service. I've been a Firestone customer throughout the country for many many years. After several bad experiences, I had to stop going to the Hamilton Town Center location because they were SO bad. Maybe they've improved and I can return....because unfortunately I don't feel this Fishers location is providing safe service. I would suggest finding another store for tires and suspension services, not Firestone, at least in the Fishers area. read more

You know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when it comes time to do vehicle maintenance? It's fear mixed with anxiety mixed with helplessness......... you take your car in for an oil change and the bill winds up being $900.......I've walked in those shoes. It sucks. Well save yourself the ulcer and head on over to Firestone. I went in for new tires and was prepared for the worst. Imagine my surprise when an extremely friendly and helpful woman (something about the estrogen made me feel a little more at ease I think) answered the phone and walked me through my options. Later that day I left the store with a promptly installed set of tires and a credit card that didn't have a hole burned through it. More recently I went in to have those tires serviced (nothing was wrong just wanted them checked out before a road trip) and an oil change. While the man I dealt with was not well-versed in customer service....and spoke so fast I barely got a word in....I left with a cheap oil change and tires serviced for free ( I had purchased a lifetime alignment for around $100 the first time). Overall, in an industry that needs a customer service face-lift this Firestone only needs a little Botox........ get your car fixed and leave the Pepto at home. read more

My boyfriend went here for an oil change about 6 months ago and we had no issues. I called a few weeks later to get a quote on an oil change. After asking the make, model, year and mileage of my car, I was quoted one amount. That amount was cheaper than the dealership I use, so I thought I'd give it a shot. When I came to pick up my car post oil change, I was notified that the cost was actually double what I was quoted. After asking why, they claimed that they needed to use a "specific type of oil". After this, my boyfriend decided to go back to them because he had not had a bad experience personally. When he picked up his car, he noticed a noise that was not there before he dropped his car off for the oil change. Come to find out, these people put the wrong type of oil in his car knowingly. Or so they told us. They did give him a rental and took a look at it the following day. When he came back, they made him pay for a diagnostic test that he never asked for, that they did because of their mistake. We found out that they never put oil in it in the first place. So he paid for an oil change that never happened and then was charged the price of a diagnostic test for their error. This is unacceptable and we will not be returning. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They forgot to put oil in my car after my oil change. They blew my head gaskets and told me it was something else. Fixed over $400 of stuff and still not right. Then they told me it was the heads leaking. Took them over a year. Did a claim and was denied due to limited data. I only went here for my car. So the missing data is on them. They said they gave me an free oil change that they didn't put on paper so it never happened. These guys will RIP you off and then have you come back for stupid stuff to fix. DO NOT GO HERE. You are better off just going anywhere else. They can't get their story right half the time and the just lie to you at every corner. READ the other reviews. I'm not alone. I wish I had read the reviews here prior to taking my vehicle here. I had my breaks & oil change replaced about 2-3 weeks ago and noticed squeaking coming out of the right side of my vehicle while driving, so I took it back to have them inspected and they said the tork mount had to be replaced so while it was there I had my AC looked at as well they said I would need to pay for an entire vehicle inspection and ac inspection which was extra. I said that's fine. They called and said that that they would need to do an AC/EVAC charge to run the dye to figure out what it is and after that they said all it needed was a new actuator, so I had that changed. A day or two later after paying almost $700 , my AC was still not working and my car was still squeaking. I'm not sure they really did an inspection or even anything was done. I am worried about my breaks now or even if the oil was put in there since this is really disappointing service especially since we trust them with our vehicle and safety to do everything they said they would do and none of it was fixed. I ended up calling them and explain my frustration and after I bring it back there they said it would cost me $2000 to have my AC fixed. I mean what was the actuator for that they said I needed to have my AC fixed at the initial inspection that I paid was for? What was the vehicle inspection was for? That I paid for the tork mount? What kind of inspections are being done? They refunded me $450 but Ultimately I'm still down $350 and NO AC working, Cars still squeaking and now I have to make sure another place recheck the oil change & break replacement they supposedly done which also costs more. Not only that but when I took my car back and they were suppose to call me back before they closed to pick up my car, they never did which landed me in a position where I had to miss another day of work! Not even a call back to let me know the car wouldn't be done in time. I am really frustrated, I've been a loyal customer of Firestone for a decade since we are military and have been taking our vehicles there all over the country. This is very disappointing, we had a similar issue also happen to a Firestone in Carmel with my other vehicle and my husband almost got into an accident when he car popped again after they supposedly replaced his tire. read more

I've had a great experience here the last 3.5 years. Firestone had a bad rep back where I lived down in the South. They'd tell you things needed to be fixed that didn't, come up with bogus extra charges, and the likes. Not so at this location. Since moving to Fishers this has been the only place I've taken our cars besides a couple jaunts to the dealership per recall related items. I had a flat tire in the morning before work so I had my vehicle towed to firestone for a simple tire change. My vehicle was dropped off at 9AM and wasn't complete until 5:30. To make matters worst their employees didn't call me. I had to call them because they "didn't have my phone information." Even after I called the employee and told him the tire I wanted. Lastly I almost didn't get my vehicle before they closed because someone "forgot to tell the technician" to change a tire on a car that obviously needed to be changed. After they gave me the quote and I told them I was taking it they didn't even try to deal with me to get me to have them do the job. I felt that was too steep a price and called Car-X in Fishers. I was in the middle of a road trip when my car developed an issue that made it unable to drive. I had no familiarity with the area and it was a Sunday, so most auto shops were closed. I found this place and gave them a call. The guy I spoke with was nice and helpful, recommending a tow truck service that was great. When I arrived, they were extremely booked up but I explained my situation and they were able to get to my car after a short wait. Luckily, the issue was a quick fix and I was able to be on my way with little downtime, after being charged next to nothing for the service. The waiting room was extremely comfortable; it was 90 outside but the waiting room was nice and cool and there were comfy chairs, outlets for phones, and a TV. Everyone I spoke with was very nice. Came in to get a nail in my tire patched. Was told they were unable to do so and I needed a new tire. I understand things happen and they seemed to make a good case for it. However at some point they decided on their own to inspect my battery. They showed me corrosion and suggested I get that cleaned. I agreed but then 2 hours later (yes I stayed because I was told it would be a short wait) I was told my battery was bad! I had no issues with my car staring it the battery before I came in. I have no idea what they did to it, but they were supposed to patch a tire, that's it. Now, I am suspicious that I never did need a new tire. Worst service I ever had. I had a flat tire near by and dropped the car off. I understand they were completely swamped. I dropped it off a 7 am before I went to work and they close at 7 pm. Never got a call and finally had to call around 4 or 5 and they told me they would try to get to it. The told me the next day early and I thought ok. Much of the day went by and still nothing. All I was hoping for was some communication that they were that busy that they could not do anything about. I was told I had to have a reservation and it was my fault I had to wait that long. I was also told it wsa first come first serve. When I checked out the guy asked me if I was informed of their inspection review. Nope. Nothing! Nada! They were like "come get it." I ended up paying a lot for the tire as I was in a bind and had to get it fixed. I alwasy do my work elsewhere where they have good service (Tom Wood Toyota) and the only reason why I went here was becasue of an emergency. Terrible service! read more

One of the worst car experiences I've ever had. I called about a month ago to get an oil change. After my oil was changed I noticed a check engine light pop up and noticed oil leaking. I took it to Autozone to get a reading on the light. They told me I had several misfires in my engine cylinder. So I called Firestone and asked if they could check out why the oil was leaking and fix whatever was going on with the engine light. I set an appointment for 10am today. Took the car in and was told I would receive a response in two hours. I said that was fine. However, I didn't receive a call until 4pm and was told they discovered there were misfires in my engine and indeed my oil was low. So obviously, my response was... "okay, yes I'm aware of that. That's the whole reason I set up an appointment today.... so what's the solution?" Josh, the manager, told me "well that would cost you $100 for us to run a diagnosis and I couldn't get you in until Tuesday next week." (At this point I was sure this was a joke) I proceed to say "are you kidding me?? You've had my car ALL day and told me the exact thing Autozone told me in less than 2 minutes??" I honestly felt like he had to be joking or something. Fast forward to me picking up the car and Matt (the gentleman at the counter) says "so can I go ahead and schedule that diagnosis test for you?" Um no Matt, you cannot. How about instead you go back to my car, fill it up with the oil it's missing and fix whatever you did to my engine in the process... how about that. (Obviously I didn't say this) but I did tell him I felt the situation was handled very poorly and I will not be returning. So here's where it gets EVEN better. I make it home and honestly gag because of the overwhelming scent of gas coming from my car. Who knows what this could be? Oh and if this doesn't just put the cherry on top of my AWFUL experience there, I found a fun-sized snickers bar with a bite taken out of it stuck in my car in the cup holder when I got the car back. So although I wasted an entire Saturday waiting for a solution that never came, they must have had a grand ole time eating their snickers and doing NOTHING to fix my car all day. To me it's like going to a doctors office being told you're indeed sick but you'll have to come back a different day to get that prescription you need so badly. Needless to say, I'm appalled by the horrible lack of service both from the auto and customer perspective. I will be calling my dealership tomorrow to get my car looked at, since I know they can be trusted even if they are a bit more expensive. Please save yourself the difficulty and don't go to this joke of a place. read more

NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE CROOKS!!!! My son took his car there because he had a couple of dash lights that came on that had to do with his Tire traction,low tire pressure and BAS. after getting it in and looking it over they told use that he needed 4 new tires which i am not doubting that it needed 2 tires but not 4 which ended up costing up to $500 for those and that they couldn't do an alignment because there was something that was causing it not to align properly, they told us they needed to replace the wheel bearings on one side on the front so they did that and charged us over $400 for that and a MOOG hub assembly, So we thought that was all on the up and up until my son drove home and some of the same lights were still on and a couple new ones came on as well. So we went back the next day to show them that and they looked it over and still not fixed. A couple days later we went back to ask questions on what would cause them to come and after a discussion they told us in order for the alignment to be done properly we had to have the other wheel bearings replaced for $260 and then aligned for $90 so it was going to cost us and additional $1000 to get all that done correctly.....as you can imagine we were beyond disgusted with all this. so we are at a $ total of 2000. so we decided to get a 2nd opinion and take our invoices to our mechanic who we have used for years who we trust more then anything and he has never done us wrong. he looked over what they said needed to be done and wouldn't you know the bearings were fine and didnt need replaced and they aligned it with no problem for a very reasonable price. My wife went back in with my son today to talk to the manager about possibly getting some sort of refund on work they did that our mechanic said really never needed to be done.....he was kinda upset that they would be accused of wrong doing and they have never been accused of anything like that. He is or the company is just in total denial about making people pay for work that never needed to be done or was ever asked to be looked at. This manage and company are not at all caring about the customer or their concerns, they just care about making money on people who know nothing about cars. I bet their tone would change if we brought in a family member who does know a thing or two about vehicles.....the bottom line is that these people are CROOKS and as another person said in another review...we need to run them out of town or shut them down. We will never go back to them and i suggest that no one else go there either..please pass this on to your friends and others.....STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I've used this shop 3 or 4 times since it had opened, and they've always treated me right. I've used them for brake service, fluid changes and minor upkeep. The mechanics fix the car right the first time using manufacturer recommended parts. You can find coupons online, which makes pricing very reasonable. read more

the service is always great. we always get in and out in a timely manner, front desk is usually nice, for that reason i am giving them 2 stars and not 1! but it has been twice now (with 2 of our cars) that we have taken our cars to firestone for simple tire changes, we drive off, and usually within the hour, we notice that something is wrong with our car. either an engine light, or cooling problems. whatever it may be, they never take responsibility for it either. it's become more of an inconvenience than convenience to take our cars to this firestone location. read more

Go here I recommend this store. Jeff and Katy turned this place around from when it first opened. I have used them Firestone for Fleet and personal vehicles for many years. After reading some reviews many which are from 2013 and earlier I have found after many years . Car repairs are just like any other repair business, some estimates they are the most expensive, sometimes they are less. With Firestone and car repairs over an extended period of time it all balances out. I especially like them because they are not afraid to refer you to someone if they can't diagnose or feel comfortable with a vehicle or repair. Remember when it comes to repairs its important to compare apples to Apples not just Cost. The labor rate in the city is pretty consistent everywhere and most respectable business use the same resources for guidelines. When it comes to warranties, a Lifetime warranty is only as good as the place you had the work done. If they go out of business who fulfills the warranty? You do and pay again. So where was the savings? I would rather pay a few extra dollars for repairs and know the company will be there. After all they have only been in business for a little over 114 years. read more

I've gone to this Firestone location for awhile now for just standard oil changes and tire rotations. I thought pretty highly of them but lately they've been terrible. I am going to be canceling my credit card that they so highly recommended I needed and then the coupons they send me in the mail they always have a reason as to why I'm excluded to use it yet it comes personally to me with my name on it. I don't trust them either. I have a 2011 and they told me my car battery needed replaced and it was going to be about 200 to replace. I went for a second opinion to the dealership I bought the car from and they laughed and said no way my battery was bad. I'm done with this place and would never recommend them to anyone. read more
