While one guy was doing the oil change and another guy was at the computer the last guy just seemed to be standing around lost. I was the only car there (now I see why). They took 10min just to take off my rear wiper blade and then another 5min to put a new one back on. When they put the new one on I also heard a crack. Luckily my rear wiper still works but I'm not sure for how long. With how unreliable the employees seemed I just didn't have any confidence in the service and I left more worried about my car than when I entered. Also, they're over priced like crazy. With just the oil change and $20 wiper blade, the bill was over $150-160. Then when I asked why it was so expensive, since Valvoline would be about $70-80, the guy at the computer input a "Promotional code" and lowered the price to $130ish. Like why didn't he put in the code at the beginning... After I asked again why it was so expensive all he said was "That's Jiffy Lube prices." There was no price break down at all. He also sighed and did a fed up look downward. Granted I'm sure he was tired since it was 2 hours before closing time on a Tuesday but there wasn't even any BASIC customer service. I don't know Jiffy Lube as a whole since I only ever go to Valvoline but I'll never go back to that Jiffy Lube on Pendleton Pike ever again. Like I said before, I left more worried about my car than when I entered.

While it should be obvious from the name, this is an oil change location and not a full-service mechanic. That said, they do offer full-service oil changes, battery replacement, headlight/tail light replacement, transmission service, differential fluid replacement, tire rotation, fuel system cleaning, windshield wiper replacement, air filter replacement, and fleet service. If I remember correctly, this is a 3-bay location. I pulled up and was taken in right away. This is a somewhat set-apart location in the outer parking lot of a Meijer with a brand new Crew Car Wash around the corner. There's also a small strip center across the parking lot with a Noble Roman's, Great Clips, and Verizon. The employees here were friendly and helpful. They did everything a full-service change offered at a fair price. I was in/out in just a few minutes. As a wheelchair user, I always appreciate when I don't have to get out of the car. Because this is a nationwide chain, they were able to pull up my records. I appreciated that. I also appreciated that they aired up my tires as I had one running a bit low. They were having a film discussion - I'm a film critic, so that was kind of cool. However, they were also super focused on what they were doing and doing the job well. This location was clean, professional, and in good repair itself. Overall, this was a positive experience and I would easily return. While I'll generally stick to the one closer to my home (Glendale area of Indy), I won't hesitate to come back here when I'm in McCordsville. As a side note, Valvoline frequently has coupons on its website that can help reduce the price a bit.

Do not recommend. Went in for an oil change, left with a car maintenance (and customer service)…read moreproblem. After my routine oil change, my car began leaking oil. I returned to the Valvoline later the same day. There was one employee left for the day, even though it was more than an hour before they closed, and he said he wouldn't be able to "do anything" on his own (?) but went below the car to check. He said it was just "frame oil" meaning oil dripped during the change. He said he wiped it up and I should be good. When I woke up the next morning, my car was still leaking oil. My partner took the car in and had them re-do the oil change. He also checked my tire pressure and found one of the tires was almost flat. He asked the Valvoline employees if they checked my tire pressure the day before and they said they did. While Valvoline claims that oil change services include an 18-point maintenance check, which includes tire pressure, my receipt from the day before indicated that the tire pressure was not checked. So I guess you have to explicitly ask for air in your tires, even though the marketing includes that as part of the service you're paying for. Amazing. The re-did oil change was performed free of charge. It did not fix the leak. So began a claim process with Valvoline corporate. Valvoline corporate had me get the issue diagnosed at a mechanic and get a quote. The diagnosis was that the oil filter housing was crushed and damaged. Apparently not uncommon at quick oil change places that use machines and move quickly. Quote was more than $300. There was also a nail in my tire. Good to know. So I sent the quote to Valvoline corporate. They said they'd get back to me within 48 hours. I called back a few days later, they said they had to wait for the manager to approve it. This went on for a couple weeks. At one point a call rep mentioned offhand that the money had already been transferred to the mechanic for the work. I asked if I could go get the work done then, since Valvoline had paid for it. They said no, we had to wait for the local Valvoline location manager to approve it, that's "just how it works." They would put me on hold and call the branch and no one would answer. What a huge flaw in the system, huh. That happened multiple times. Valvoline corporate assured me they would call me back and they never, not once, did. After about a month, my car slowly leaking oil this entire time, I called one last time. The rep pulled up my claim and immediately apologized and said he was escalating it to every manager and they would get back to me the next business day. I waited a week after that and then finally just went to the mechanic and got the fix done that Valvoline had already paid for. I'm not sure why any sane person would wait as long as I did to get a "green light" from a manager who clearly did not care. The customer service process seems intentionally created to put all the burden on the customer. What is happening that nowadays we go to a get an oil change, receive a maintenance problem instead, and the company runs in circles for five weeks. At least my car was drivable in the meantime. At least Valvoline did pay for the repair. But I should have at the very least also received a refund for the botched oil change in the first place without having to ask.

My friend suggested I come here to get my car serviced because I needed new brakes and rotors and he trusts them as they've completed work on his truck in the past. Mr. Ted at the front desk reminded me of one of my uncles. He was so nice and funny. Chris was my mechanic and really gave me the knowledge I needed to feel confident in the repairs that needed to be done. I really appreciated him not taking advantage of my lack of knowledge and physically showing me what was going on and why it needed repaired. The price wasn't terrible and very much worth it. I walked in at 8am & they were done by noon and left with peace of mind. With no appointment, I thought that was pretty good. My car dealership wanted to keep my vehicle overnight. With that being said, I love supporting local businesses and will more than likely only go to Trinity Brothers from this point on.

However, this particular spot is actually closer to my home and I knew today it was going to be closer to where I needed to do some other errands. Belle Tire was founded in Detroit in 1922. The name comes from founder Sam Waze naming the company after his wife (I'll let you guess her name). Belle Tire is fairly new in the Indianapolis region having arrived from 2016-2020. Around 30 locations are noted in the Indianapolis region including a Whitestown, Indiana training facility. Belle has sports partnerships with Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and Chicago Blackhawks. Belle is historically known for strong customer service and relationship building. The stores are also historically customer friendly a clean, comfortable waiting area that includes a computer kiosk, vending machine, coffee, and a unisex restroom that is also wheelchair friendly. With most auto repair places, accessibility is an afterthought. Belle has often gained my business because of its commitment to accessibility. This was my first visit to this location. It seems just a bit smaller than Castleton, though not by much. There are two accessible parking spots up front. I'd actually ordered my tires and paid online and set my appointment mid-week so that I could come in on Saturday morning. I arrived quite a bit early, however, I was able to get served pretty quickly. Business was steady but not what I would call busy. I like the option of paying online. While it doesn't quite eliminate the attempted upsell, it reduces the pressure since I'd already paid. As I pulled up here, I was a bit irritated to see two trucks blocking the accessible parking area. I was able to squeeze in, however, one of the two spots was completely blocked. That's unacceptable. However, I did get parked and did have a clear path to the curb cut. In most of my visits to Belle, someone greets me at the door. However, in this case one person was serving a customer and the other was on the phone. The employees were friendly and helpful. My reservation was identified and my tires were ready and available. I was a little nervous ordering online, however, it worked just fine and the tires were appropriate. I also was pleased that there was no issue regarding payment since I'd paid online. I was able to relax in the waiting area, though the store was a touch chilly. At one point, I think they finally addressed that. My set of tires was ready within about an hour. It was a reasonable time and I was completely fine with it. They did recommend a front alignment, though I opted to hold off to see how it drove. I also had an experience that made me not want to spend additional cash here. A person drove up in what was obviously a quite nice car and he was obviously a friend of the place as both people working the counter went out to look at the car. That's fine (and it was quick). However, he parked (illegally) in one of the accessible parking spots and I was a bit bothered the employees didn't detour this. I think it was especially noteworthy since a disabled customer was in the building. Fortunately, he didn't stay long but considering the spots had been blocked when I arrived this really indicated a casual attitude about accessibility. This, in turn, directly lost them the sale of an alignment. It also is why I'm dropping a star here. I will give kudos, however, that the person who worked on my car parked it right next to the curb cut when he was done. I'm amazed how often this doesn't happen and I end up struggling to get in my car. So, bravo for that. That said, most other aspects of this experience were fine. I'd say this location is a notch below Castleton. However, my general impression of Belle is that it remains one of the more customer friendly companies related to autos in the area. Since Belle came to town, I haven't even thought about Firestone. Would I come back? Probably. However, to be honest I'll likely head back up to Castleton as it's simply a better experience and the devotion to accessibility when I've visited has been strong. This was a good but not great visit. However, between the successful online interaction, the quality tires, and the overall friendliness I still have to go 4 stars. I also got my eligible rebates and they were explained well including the one I thought I was eligible for but actually wasn't. A little tweaking and this could easily be a 5 star location. For now, 4 stars it is.
