Great service, knowledgeable staff and dependable follow through. I made an appointment for oil change 'while you wait' vs dropping off. I also mentioned that my 'low tire pressure light' was on. My car was serviced, checked filters and various systems, and rotated the tires (at no charge). They found a screw in the right front tire and repaired it. I also spoke with the desk worker about issues with another of my cars and made an appointment for next week. So Happy! Fast forward: in 2 days my 'low tire pressure light' resumed its persistent glow. I called back, took it in & they addressed the issue explaining that the sensor in my vehicle registered only a difference in tire pressure and found that one tire was overinflated to 38#. Knowing I would need a couple of tires, I was given the news that I needed all four tires replaced on my Buick Encore. Shelby street: VERY FRUSTRATING. I dropped $2100 on wheels and tires for my truck and was pleased with the initial sale process. I called for an appointment for rotation, balance and an oil change and was told: "They don't make appointments for those services - all I needed to do is show up and it's first come first served." I arrive 15 minutes before they open Monday to be first in line, but told I'd have to leave it and it'd be at least 3 hours before they could even POSSIBLY get to it as they had a few big jobs booked. They're a busy shop. So - you can't make an appointment, you have to plan to leave your vehicle and they'll POSSIBLY get to it, depending on how busy they are with the jobs they do make appointments for. That's not first come first served - and definitely not what I'd been led to believe when I called. Many places have a lane dedicated to oil changes and rotations - truly first come first served, and people park in line. That's what I expected based on what I was told. Well, I wasn't in a position to leave my truck, and certainly couldn't sit for hours hoping they might get to it, so I left pretty frustrated. I wasted part of my morning and my tires still need rotated and balanced (part of the road hazard package I paid for with the tires). read more

They not only listen, they have been going out to the cars (when needed) to check them out before doing any work to make sure they understand the issues being requested (important when someone says they ran over something and need a tire repaired.) My wife and I were customers here back in the early 2000s and we liked it then. We left Indiana and after coming back, we found ourselves coming back for great service and products. We took our car in for a radiator repair. After a thorough inspection they said we'd need to pay $800 to fix the issues, then they came back and said to fix some additional issues like a pump and wheel bearings we'd need to pay $1400, so we did. They assured us everything was good to go. My daughter's car broke down on the side of the interstate within 48 hours of leaving the shop. Wouldn't start, she was stranded 1.5 hours from home on I-70. The company had the car towed to a sister shop in Terre Haute and now they are saying the car actually needs a whole new engine. I called and asked Brett what we could do about the situation and he told me he'd talk with his partner and get back with me. That's been 4 days ago at this point and still no call. I am filing complaints with Attorney General and BBB since I tried to resolve with them and they haven't been of help. I told them they could take the parts that they put in and refund us our money for the original repair, which seems like a reasonable request since the new parts didn't even last 2 days. After getting a flat from curbing my tire, I needed to find the same model of tire I had. I called Indy Tire, and not only did they have the lowest price in the Carmel area, but it arrived the quickest too! I was told that my new tire would arrive the following day around 11. The next day, I called at noon, and they said they hadn't seen it yet, but would call me as soon as UPS arrived. Less than 10 minutes later, they called me and said my "necklace" had arrived. I had been impressed with their customer service this far, and their sense of humor was the icing on the cake. I dropped my car off, but was unable to get a ride back to work. I mentioned I'd just take an Uber, but they offered me a ride back to work to Main and Rangeline. SUCH CUSTOMER SERVICE. They called me about 2 hours later saying it was done. When I arrived to pick up my car, they were all very wonderful again, and the price was even cheaper than when I was quoted the previous day. This place will charge you 100 dollars just to pull codes. They are a business first and a service second. They are good for tires. Overcharge for oil changes. Manager is nice (Brett) but obviously a company man. This is based on years but f experiences but this last one really rubbed me wrong. Update now that I am less angry: I went in to have a sensor replaced. They wouldn't do it without diagnostic work. Once they did the diagnostic (all they did was pull codes, the same common codes I already pulled.) and came up with the same problem I did. Then they want the charge me even if I have them do the repair. The truth is they operate just like plenty of other chain mechanics and I am sure the owner has made plenty of hundreds of dollars off of plugging in a machine and pressing a button. Hopefully someone will revolutionize the auto repair industry and make these types of shops be more honest and transparent or go out of business. I am fine with either. These guys have the experience to quickly diagnose (that is a compliment) but they treat every situation the same and that is BAD customer service!!!! The "owner" commented that they would like to talk more, but left no contact info. Just trying to save face on a bad review it would seem. read more

My car was in desperate need of new tires, so after Yelping and Googling to the ends of the internet, I finally crossed my fingers and went with Indy Tire. I'm so glad I did. I have always been real happy with Indy Tire. The staff is very helpful and attentive. I have never used them for anything other than buying/ repairing tires, but they have always been good to me. Comparable prices to the wholesale clubs, but more personalized sales and service. I have a Best One within less than 5 minutes walking distance of my home, but I drive the 10 minutes to Carmel because these guys are so awesome. I've had several great experiences there. In fact, I've not had a less-than-great experience there. For example, today it took them 28 minutes to get me in and out. 28 minutes! Granted, I was there right when they opened and it was a minor repair with tire rotation, but that's probably the quickest repair job I've ever had. 28 minutes! Greatly disappointed in this Indy Tire location. Normally I do not take my car to a chain-type repair service, but on he recommendation of my FIL I took my '09 Subaru Forester to Indy Tire's Carmel location. My first experience was an oil change in he spring of 2010 where he tech suggested a new air filter. I agreed and waited for the part to be delivered. After waiting an extra hour he incorrect part arrived. The manager ordered the filter for an ' 08 Forester because he noticed I purchased he car in '08 rather Han paying attention to he fact that I had indicated my vehicle was an '09 many times. On my way home from this appointment I noticed on the sticker that all weather oil had been used. Called back to Indy Tire and was told that was recommended for '08 Foresters. I explained, again, that I drive an '09 and it was throughly explained to me when I purchased the car that synthetic oil was only to be used. This fact I also pointed out before the service took place. They apologized. Returned for another oil change where I asked, again, for synthetic oil. It was used on this visit. A new air filter was recommended, I agreed, but yet again the wrong part was ordered. My husband and FIL insisted hat I continue to use Indy Tire because they have been going there for over 20 years and this was just the mistake of a new manager. So, I returned for a third oil change, they got it all right this time. Guess the third time is he charm. In July of 2011 we were preparing for a trip to Florida. Mentioned to my husband that I was going to ask about the brakes because I had been noticing some squeaking throughout the spring and summer. I had also taken note that they had never mentioned the state of my brakes on any other visit. My past experiences with service centers is that hey normally tell you that your pads are a certain %, good or bad, at every service visit. Took the car in for an oil change and asked about the brakes. I was told they were "just fine". On my way home I noticed the incorrect oil was used again. Had no time to deal with this before leaving on our trip. While driving from Indiana to Florida we hit the 30,000 mile mark on the vehicle. This meant the warranty was no longer valid. We never needed to make a major claim against it, thank goodness. I say that because I had found, while researching the oil mixup, that Indy Tire had essentially voided the warranty by using he wrong type of oil. This made me very upset, but not sure what could be done about it. My husband did most of the driving and noticed the squeaking brakes, but said it was just dust because Indy Tire said the brakes checked out ok. (think he was brainwashed in his 20 years of going there) When we arrived at our destination we noticed the brakes had become very noisy and he next day they were grinding. The car did stop just fine, so my husband decided to ignore the sounds and drive us all home a week later. He insisted that it was brake dust and he would take it to Indy Tire immediately upon returning home. After a 27 hour drive we dropped our luggage at home and drove the car right to Indy Tire. I was not surprised to find out that he rear brakes were completely gone (including rotors and calipers) and the front were near 10%. My husband finally stopped defending IT at that point! The breaks were repaired and we paid the large bill which would have been much less just a week earlier if I had honestly been told about the state of our brakes. It seems as though the manager at IT cares more about making a few bucks than the safety of a family. It is my opinion that I was not told that I needed new break pads so that I would drive the car around town until a much larger repair was needed. The manager of this Indy Tire location should thank his lucky stars that we had 10% of our front brakes left! His greed and unethical business practice could have cost a lot more than money. Please do not give Indy Tire, in Carmel, on AAA Way your business! read more

The staff was friendly but when I scheduled my appointment they told me to expect 30-40 minutes and when I arrived I was told it would be over an hour to get it in.? What good is making an appointment if they are just taking walk ins and putting off appointments? Anyway, 2 hours later and they had the oil changed and tires rotated but no time to check the main issue I was there for... I only went there bcuz I bought tires from them and they needed rotated.
