My wife called me with the news, and I was concerned that during the holidays, service and parts resources would be limited. I was able to get a fix on my wife's location and immediately reached out to local repair shops, only to find, as expected, that many were closed for the holidays. Dynamic answered the call and provided the most needed assistance. My wife arrived at the location an hour before opening. Once the mechanics arrived and opened the doors, they quickly evaluated my wife's car. The tension in the situation was relieved when the concern was identified and its severity reduced. We cleared the EVAP system error code, and my wife continued her journey home. There were some complications with administering compensation for the services, but we worked them out.

That was at 9:30 this morning and by 2:30pm I was able to go pick it up. I travel a lot for work and was worried I would be without a vehicle for longer than I could afford to be. So I was extremely relieved when I was told I would have it back the same day. The service here is wonderful and I feel like I got a fair price for the work I needed done. After calling them to ask what was happening, the owner got on the phone with me to explain the suggested repairs, apologized for sending the communication without calling first, and took care of the tire. We got the quote for the repair, and it was more than a standard tire and balance, but we were okay with it. Although this was a stressful experience, I was pleasantly surprised that the owner acknowledged the poor and confusing customer service and was willing to learn from the experience and make it right. This is rare.

On January 8, 2026, I brought my 2017 Mercedes-Benz E 300 to Pete's Service Center. The previous…read moreday, I called to discuss the issues I was having so they could repair them. I informed them that the automatic transmission would return to park when trying to shift to drive, and that it required several shifts before the transmission would skip to 3rd gear, after which the vehicle would run. I also informed them of an airbag malfunction message that appeared upon startup. I was told that they could fix those issues and bring the vehicle in. The next day, Pete's called, saying I needed a new transmission costing $14,000. I paid their service charge and retrieved my car. Pete's advisor, Brad Wilkerson, printed a four-page invoice with no repair information other than the transmission estimate of $13,395.90. An emailed invoice only showed photos of my vehicle. I brought my car to Mercedes-Benz of Indianapolis on January 14, 2026, requesting the same repairs I wanted from Pete's Service Center, and the 100,000-mile scheduled maintenance. Later, the Mercedes advisor told me their total cost would be about $6,000.00. I picked my vehicle up from them on January 21, 2026, and it runs well. I received text messages from Pete's on January 23, 2026, and February 9, 2026. The February 9th message said, "We made some recommendations for your 2017 Mercedes-Benz that you haven't taken care of yet." On February 13, 2026, I went to Pete's Service Center to tell them they did nothing to my vehicle to warrant a $212.09 charge. Also, I informed them that the Mercedes-Benz dealership repaired my transmission and much more for less than half the cost that they were asking. The advisor said, "We don't repair transmissions, only replace them with a used one." When I asked about the airbag error message, the advisor said, "We don't work on airbags." I told him that I would not have brought my vehicle if they had told me that in the beginning. I asked why they were texting me. The only "recommendation" they made was to replace the car's transmission. The person I spoke to offered a free oil change, which I declined. After I visited them on February 13, they sent what appeared to be comprehensive diagnostics to my email. I believe these were fake. Pete's Service Center is a dishonest business and should not claim it can repair Mercedes-Benz or other vehicles.

I appreciated the explanation they gave me and they made sure I understood. I felt like they really didn't want me to put more money into my jeep than necessary and you don't find that kind of service very much. I will definitely go back!

That being said they can usually give you an estimate of how long your wait might be. Don't expect a luxurious waiting room. The waiting room is BASIC. It was probably last remodeled in 1985. There is a single bathroom, a few chairs and a vending machine. If you are lucky the tv will be on and tuned to a local station. There is no coffee machine, free waters or any other deluxe accommodations. However, your car will be fixed in a professional, timely and reasonably priced manner. Bring a book and a little bit of patience if you have a couple customers in front of you. I had three people in front of me today and was out the door in a little over an hour. My husband's car a couple weeks ago was a similar wait that day.

Wow, Ty! Really fast and reliable service. Got a flat tire when my wife drove my car and she told me she's at Ty's asking it to be fixed. I thought it would take a couple of hours in case there are a lot of cars being serviced but the turnover's fast. And even my wife was delighted that the tire got replaced in no time. No one's really a superman but Ty, he really did a good job. I ended up asking for a full checkup of the car plus lube and oil change because I was planning to do it on my own but since they offer the service I did not hesitate to let them do it. Ty's Penn Shell Automotive is very knowledgeable, I ended up learning quite a lot of things from them. Especially when it comes to taking care of the car and making sure it's using its full potential. If you're around Indianapolis and wanted to get your car checked better visit this place! You'll definitely get a lot more than what you paid for. Top notch service and very friendly people. read more

I am so thankful for Ty and his wife. I have been going here for years. They are honest and never tell you you need extra work. You can bring in a list of issues from he dealer and they can tell you what needs done now and what can wait. Their prices are reasonable and they will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. They even found a very costly part used at a much better price,and got it sent UPS to fix my car for an upcoming road trip. I know that Ty is working hard behind the scene, but his wife Van is doing the work of several people...answering phones, making appointments, looking up and ordering parts, explaining everything to customers. Ty's Automotive is my Guy! This was my 1st visit and won't be my last. I have family members that go to Ty and finally my car needed to go. My car was towed late afternoon on Wed. Even after I told Ty it was ok to call me on Thurs or Friday with the problem, Ty went out of his way to call me later that day with the problem and an estimate. My car was ready the next day! I asked if my car also needed a tune up, and Ty told me No. Most No good mechanics would have said Yes, just to take your money. Ty's was recommended to me by a friend in 2015. I've had two vehicles that his mechanics have kept purring for 5 years. I've had several issues that were way beyond what I could do myself. At times I just dove in, dropped them off, and got a call, when they were done. I've NEVER had to bring either vehicle back in for the same reason. When he says it's fixed, I don't worry at all. I recommend his shop to friends when I hear them talking about auto issues. read more

This was my second visit to Tyler Automotive. I went to subpar mechanics recently that I just…read moredidn't trust and my car still didn't feel right. Had my front and rear shocks and struts replaced with a wheel alignment. I had to have my car towed to Tyler's Friday afternoon knowing they're closed on the weekends. I called to let them know my car would be there at whatever time on Friday and whenever they manage to get to it was fine. Becky answered the phone and after I told her what was going on with my car, she let me know I would have to pay for the suspension check since I had the initial repairs done elsewhere - totally reasonable and 100% transparent. I got a text at 2:11pm today to review what they found and they called a few minutes later to go over it and get permission to do what was needed. It was only $70 for the suspension inspection plus a free quality control inspection. They also fixed one of the tire valves for me and filled the front two that were shockingly low. I literally just had all 4 filled elsewhere. The most expensive was the alignment which was $135. A little higher than what I'm used to but honestly, you get what you pay for. They called 2 hours later to let me know my car was ready. It always sucks to have to bring your car in when something is wrong but at least the people working at Tyler Automotive don't make you feel worse about it and know what they're doing

We called Tyler and asked if they could help with a manual transmission car because we'd have to have it towed there. They said yes. Then after we had it towed, they said they didn't know how to work on it. We tried to drive it across the street to Glendale Automotive, but Tyler had killed the battery. So I had to push it back the 10 yards to get it into a parking spot at Tyler and wait for another tow truck. No one from Tyler came out to ask if we were ok or offer help as I pushed. We did get it over to Glendale Automotive with a tow, and Glendale fixed it right up, no problem. If Tyler had just been honest, we could have towed it to Glendale from the jump and saved ourselves a lot of time, money, and literal physical pain from pushing the car.

What I initially thought was my transmission ended up being a broken piece on my shifter cable. Keep in mind, this occurred on the Wednesday before Memorial Day Weekend, and the workers (as they should) were also planning to enjoy the long weekend/holiday. John let me know that it was highly unlikely that my car would be fixed before the weekend, which I understood, but I was still a bit bummed about because I had several plans to start moving, traveling, etc. While I did not mention any of these circumstances to John, he let me know to call in the next morning for an update on the vehicle. To my very happy surprise, he let me know that he was able to find a shifter cable part from a friend in the community, and he even stayed late to fix it! Replacing shifter cables can be a pain, and I was so taken back that he was able to have my car back to me in less than 24 hours, with no appointment or heads up. I am not noting that he stayed late as something customers should rely on when choosing an auto repair shop. However, John was very thorough in explaining the process to me, and A&A exceeded all of my expectations. To stay late for someone so that they can have their car before the holiday weekend is top notch customer service, and it goes way beyond what any repair shop needed to do. Trust me, there are WAY more of people needing repairs and this shop would have stayed busy even without my business. To sum it up, A&A is reliable, I never once worried that I would be scammed as a young woman, and I will definitely bring my car back if I have any maintenance or any other issues. Thank you A&A!!

Sometimes I am unsure when it comes to tire warranties but the tire warranty that came with my tires did exactly what they said it would do. THEN after very recently being circle jerked around by Brandon and Jerry at the Michigan Road location, I decided to look for a second but HONEST opinion. I read some yelp reviews and decided to drive 20 miles to the TD Noblesville location. Folks, these people are game changers! Spent a great deal of time with Jamie and Bobby, who are FANTASTIC. Not only do they have an unbelievable wealth of knowledge, and the patience to break their explanations in "bite sized pieces" for someone like me, they found a great resolution. Well worth driving 20 miles to these guys instead of 5 to the other!
