I'm not sure you even deserve one star! We were in the middle of a long trip with a UHAUL trailer and found that we had a nail in our pickup truck tire and we were slowly losing air pressure. Firestone was open, so we pulled in as the tire was going flat. At first, they were interested and helping us. They spent time asking us many questions about the vehicle. This took approximately 25 minutes. When they found out that we were only interested in repairing the tire and not purchasing a new tire, they suddenly didn't have the time or interest in helping us. We understand that they were busy, but they refused emergency assistance and told us to look elsewhere while our tire continued to lose air. This is a bad representation of Firestone as they were only interested in helping us if we were going to be purchasing a $300+ tire from them. They denied us assistance when they found out it was a minor cost and tire repair. Thank goodness we immediately started calling other places, and Pep Boys offered to stay open late to accommodate our emergency. They also did not charge us anything to repair the flat. We of course tipped them for staying late and giving us first class customer service. I understand that all businesses are interested in making a profit, but some businesses especially those that provide a critical service should have a higher expectation of service to help those who find themselves in an emergency situation. Thank you again to everyone involved at Pep Boys! You rock! And for those at Firestone on Golden Triangle - shame on you - for only being interested in a high dollar sale and not helping someone in obvious need.

This is where they put in writing that I am good to go, come back in 90 days

Never had a positive experience at this location. Unprofessional and unorganized. Staff unsure of inventory and slow service.

A year later and I will say they stood by their warranty up to a certain point. I did have to take…read moremy Yukon back to them several times be it for transmission fluid leaks, dipstick tube loose and leaking, chattering/transmission vibrations. All were repaired at no charge although it did seem like warranty work was not there priority, every time I had to bring it back to their shop they would have it for over a week. And trying to get a hold of Daniel was nearly impossible, he's never at the shop, and when you are lucky enough to get him to answer the phone he was just promise to call you right back in 5 minutes, only 5 minutes will turn into 5 days. My final draw with this shop is when I brought it back to them because the transmission would not shift into 3rd gear. Daniel told me it sounds like the clutch drum is probably cracked and that it is a common problem with my transmission. When I asked if that is covered under warranty he said it is not because it is not a part that is replaced with a rebuild kit. Which is true most shops at best will inspect it and test the pressure at best when rebuilding. Mind you from the time I brought it back to finding this out about the drum he had the truck for 4 days and supposedly hooked up the computer and took fluid samples to tell me he thinks it's the drum, he had not dropped the transmission, in order to find out for sure if it was the drum Daniel wanted me to pay $2600 up front to drop the transmission. Which is how much I paid for him to rebuild it. When I asked Daniel what if it's not the drum and it's something under warranty I still have to pay $2600 he said we can work something out. Never before have I ever heard of having to pay upfront for a repair that may or may not be covered under warranty because the mechanic doesn't even know what part has failed. At this point I decided to take it to another shop because once I pay the money you can tell me whatever you want failed and it's not covered by the warranty and now I'm out the money. So I decided to have my truck towed to another shop that was recommended by my daughter that rebuilt her transmission 2 years ago and hasn't had issues since. They rebuilt it for less than what Daniel wanted to drop my transmission for to tell me if it was the drum or not. I told them how Daniel thinks it's the drum without even seeing it, and if it was the drum to replace it. Well it wasn't the drum, the tech took it for a test drive and said he didn't think it was a drum, he dropped the trans and found the 3rd and 4th gear clutch plates were burnt up and the drum was fine. Those clutch plates were part of the rebuild done by Kings Automotive and were covered under there warranty but obviously they did not want to drop the transmission open it back up to find out without being paid up front. Like I said they will take care of the nickel and dime repairs they can do with out dropping the trans. But if it's something internal good luck they will want the money up front at that point good luck. And if it's warranty work plan on being without your vehicle for at least a week if you're lucky. Save yourself the money and headache and go elsewhere especially if it's transmission related

Took it back in this time to Driver's Edge in Keller. After diagnosis I was told it needed a manifold. I told them it was replaced in October. I was told it should be warrantied and he'd get back with me on that. He called me back later and said it wasn't the manifold but the actuator. I told him we planned on replacing the car and didn't want to spend anymore on it than necessary. He said it should be fine as long as it is t idling more than 15 minutes at a time. We chose to avoid the repair cost of about $800 based on that. A few days later it started getting worse. Now it wouldn't start for periods of time. Took it back to Keller location. After diagnosis I was told it needed the actuator. Told them to go ahead and replace it cause my daughter needs her car until she can get another. A few hours later I got a call back that it also needs a manifold. After hours of them trying to verify that it in fact was a warranty repair plus the cost of the actuator they ordered the parts. Fast forward the repair was done another $800+ later and my daughter picked up her car. That same day it started doing the same thing as before. It almost died on the freeway again. The engine stated shaking and the oil light flickered. The car lost power steering and power brakes for a second and then began running fine. I called the Keller location and told them what happened and they said to bring it back. I told my daughter to take it to them soon as possible. She is a full time student and working full time so is very busy and planned to soon as she could. But days later it did it again. Today it won't start. Same issues as before and it's frustrating that I have spent well over $3000 with Driver's Edge and the problem persists. Every time I call it's a different person and we have to start all over again with them trying to understand what has been done and then be charged hundreds again to diagnose it. Due to this my daughter has decided not to take it back to Driver's Edge again and cut our losses. The car sits in her driveway broke down and she has to share her boyfriend's car until she can find another car. I agree with her that it is frustrating to deal with Driver's Edge and that we should just take the loss and avoid them at all costs. I feel like they misdiagnosed the car multiple times and just replaced expensive parts hoping it solved the problem. Also I had them rotate the tires and they left a center cap from a wheel just sitting in the passenger seat. Apparently they lost the screw to it and so just threw the cap in the car rather than replace the screw or cap. Didn't tell us. I did call after that and they said bring it in and they would replace it. But when the car went back they forgot. It was still in the seat when she picked it up. She didn't notice till she was on her way from there to work. I give up with these people. If it does go to a shop it will be a different one. Never a driver's edge again.
