I'd give zero stars if I could. Stay away from this location. I had an appointment at 1PM and dropped my car off for new brakes and was told it would be done in an hour and half. When I called 3 hours later at 4PM I was told they were playing "catch up, pushed my car back and hadn't even started the work on my car!! Had the audacity to ask me, what would the latest time you could pick it up?' Huh? I needed my car back after 3 hours I have no latest time to come get it. Leaving home Sunday May 5 with my adult guitarist son, the low tire pressure indicator lights up. Fortunately I am near the Firestone on Morrison. I pull in and get out to see the front driver's side tire is very low. Gaston comes over and fills the tire but notices a bolt in the tire. He tells me he can patch it up in an hour. I am in a hurry. My car is loaded down with musical equipment since my son has a gig to perform in Powell. I tell him to quickly contact an UBER XL since he will need a big vehicle. Gaston tells me to hold on. He calls over the technician, Mike, and tells him my dilemma. Mike nods, takes my keys and drives around to the front of the bays. Gaston tells me to give them 15 minutes. I am a loyal Firestone customer and my tires are all Firestone. The tire was still under warranty so there was no charge. Mike promptly removed the bolt, patched the tire and fixed the tire. I thanked Gaston and Mike heartily. They really pulled us out of a jam. We took my husband's car to get an oil change and tires rotated. Not sure they even did the oil change. I know they didn't do tighten down the lug nut, my husband, what died or killed somebody if he got on the freeway that day and for some reason he didn't, and I was right behind him when his driver side tire fell off as he was driving, they actually wanted us to pay for the oil change after that happened I still going to fire stone because I know there's good stores and there's bad stores. When we arrived, they had tried switched us to more expensive tires without saying anything about the change. When we pointed it out, they told us to apply for their credit card to make them the same price as the ones we were scheduled to have installed. When we said no, they said we didn't have a choice they had discontinued the ones we had selected and just had them online with no availability. So we left and went to Discount Tire. This firestone actually gets work done compared to the newer one in gahanna across the vista apartments. The staff here knows what they are doing and gets the job done in a quickly fashion. I tend to go to this location the most for oil changes because those only take 30 minutes and for some strange reason the other location always is booked up weeks out. It's getting annoying. So trust your car at this location because they will get it done and have good openings. read more

I had a tire losing air VERY VERY slowly like 1 lb per 2 months. So I went and got it checked out. Turns out it was a construction staple, even when it was taken out the tire was still holding air. So the manager said they couldn't plug it because it was too close to the sidewall. So I asked for a patch and he said, "that wouldn't work, but I can get you go out of here street legal with 4 new tires for $601"..... let me go?? I told him I would get one tire, he then said, "oh I can't do that I can only sell you 4 tires"..... I literally laughed in his face and went to a real tire repair shop, a whole 15 bucks. This Firestone deserves 0/5 stars. First off, the place was so packed that there were 0 parking spots and cars had started parking in front of other cars. So a nice parking mess they had going on. I thought I heard a clunking noise near the back part of my car so I took it in to this Firestone. When I finally got the call that my car was ready, they said they couldn't find anything wrong but that I had a loose front tie rod end and needed alignment service and new filters. All of this I had gotten done not even a year ago for my 100,000 miles tuneup. So instead of paying their $441 fee for all that, I paid their $15.99 inspection fee and took it to a AAA car care center for a second opinion. AAA took a look at it and said there was NOTHING wrong with my car (the clunking I heard was probably just a stuck rock), and they didn't charge me anything to inspect the car. This Firestone is not trustworthy. Save your money for a better mechanic like AAA. read more

My son took his car in for tire service. He was told he needed repairs to his steering system that included ball joints and tie rod ends. None of the components the service advisor indicated were, in fact, bad. He outright lied to sell $775 worth of parts and service. He was also quoted pricing for a set of tires. The tires quoted were 16" when the car actually needed 17" tires. When the tires were ordered and delivered to the store, they could not be installed. They had the car for a total of 1-1/2 days. I am familiar with service departments lying to customers to increase business, but for a tire company to incorrectly identify the size tire on a car they have in their possession is beyond my comprehension. I've only come here for oil changes so I can't comment on other services. As far as oil changes are concerned, I really like this place. The people are very friendly (on the phone and in person), they don't try to oversell you things you don't need, the appointments generally run on time (only a couple times they were 5-10 mins behind), and I think they always do a good job. They open at 7am so it's very convenient for work days. And they don't get angry at you for being a couple minutes late to your appointment (but do try to show up on time). And they fit me in on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend when I called Thursday night! How awesome is that? I was very grateful. The waiting area is small but is never filled during early morning appointments. Not that this matters to most people-- but tim hortons is right across the street, and bob Evans is right next to it so you can run over there for breakfast while waiting on the car getting serviced. read more

The old manager, Tyler, was great. My family has been coming here for 20 years and after my experience with Josh two weeks ago, I won't be back. After doing a vehicle check of my car, I was told my estimate was "probably going to be expensive; in the ballpark of $1800." He told me since my family comes so much, I would not be charged for the vehicle check, usually $100. There were a few possibilities of what was wrong, but I was not able to get an exact estimate for cost from Josh right then, he said he had to make a call for that. He called back and told me he had a price for me, but he could not give me the estimate cost unless I paid $100. I asked why it cost $100 to name the price when he explicitly offered the vehicle check for free just minutes before at the same cost value? He already did the vehicle check. Seemed sketchy. He then got irritated that I was asking questions and refused to provide further information unless I paid him $100. I just felt like this was extortion, and I was pretty much not down. I asked if he could please provide my VIN number so I could get it towed again, and he replied, "it's in the lot." In other words, you can come see for yourself. I was at work, this was about 11am. Completely rude and uncalled for. Even though it was a gigantic pain to get my car towed another time to Roush Honda, unassisted, from work, on a Friday during the polar vortex.. I figured it out. The total cost for repair including a software update only available at the dealership? $100. Isn't it ironic... and not $1800.... So yea, even though Josh at Firestone treated me like a black fly in his Chardonnay, I found my spot at Roush. So I guess I'm thankful in a way... 5 stars to Roush Honda. I went here 6 years ago for an issue with my car. After a $79 diagnosis they said I needed a new trasmission. I got another opinion only to find out it had nothing to do with my transmission and it was an easily diagnosed and cheap issue to fix. After talking to Firestone again they admitted the tech guessed!!! We decided to give them another try with my truck that needed new tires. After we got the truck home we found it leaking grease on the front passenger side. We took it back and they wanted to charge us for an issue we believe they caused. After 8 hours they said it was fixed. The next day same issue!!! We will never go back and I have told many of my friends and business associates to stay away!!! read more

EPILOGUE: FIRESTONE RUINED MY CAR BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T FIX A HEADLIGHT CORRECTLY AND THEY'RE NOT BEING HONEST ABOUT IT. "I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business." - Harvey Firestone This is the quote that hangs in every FS shop, along with their fixed right the first time "guarantee". This is complete nonsense and I found out the hard way. I took my car to the FS Auto Care on Morrison Rd in Gahanna, OH to get a headlight rewired on 12/13. Upon getting the car back, the employee explained to me that the battery light was now on; he said it could go away on its own, it might need to "reset" itself. I started my car the next morning, the lights, radio and air were very weak and the engine was sluggish. It died about a mile from my house. Took it back to FS where they looked at it, tested the alternator and tried to charge me for a problem they caused (haha). James finally did the right thing and replaced the alternator at no charge. A few days and about 100 miles later, problems started happening. There was no air, multiple dash lights were lighting up, my power steering went out. My engine overheated, coolant leaked out. They said I had a blown head gasket, casued by overheating. And now the fun begins. In order to rectify the situation, FS hires a "third party" investigator to inspect your car and determine if FS is liable. This is also complete crap because THEY PAY THIS INVESTIGATOR!!! (HONESTY??) I requested that I be present when this inspection took place. Nope, they went ahead and did it without me. (HONESTY??) In fact, I'm not even sure there was an inspection, there's only an inspection report. They're claiming that there was a tiny leak in a coolant line and thats what caused it. They sent one picture and its the tiniest hole, smaller than a dime. To be honest, they couldve done that themselves and with their honesty track record, I wouldn't put it below them. Also brings up the question - what about my air and power steering? This is why I wanted to speak to this "inspector" and let him know the full story. (Again, HONESTY??) So my option now is to haul my car to another auto inspector and try to prove their liable on my dime. I'm assuming I'll have to prove negligence in court? HOW IS THIS HONESTY? IS THIS THE TREATMENT OF ALL CUSTOMERS? IF PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT THEIR "THIRD PARTY" INVESTIGATORS, WOULD THEY STILL BELIEVE THE FIXED RIGHT "GUARANTEE" OR WOULD THEY THINK TWICE? Went above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I took my car in for an oil changed and when I picked it up there were some lights on that weren't on when I dropped it off. Even though they were closing they stayed and diagnosed the issue and discovered a wire on the front right wheel was faulty. Even though it wasn't there fault they repaired the issue and didn't charge me extra because the issue happened on their watch. If something happens work with them and they'll do their best to take care of you and your car. read more

They told me I had a nail and thy couldn't fix it but they could charge me $700 for new tires, which I don't need. I went into Firestone to have a simple oil Change done on Saturday, October 8th, 2016. When I returned to pickup my car the technician checking me out said there had been and issue with payment. He advised me that he had charged someone else for my oil change and then had to make that customer come back in to refund their card for my oil change. So several different receipts had to be printed. I was a little concerned at the time because I was sent home with the other customers signature and the last four digits of their card number. I asked the technician if this was ok and he said it was fine. When I originally left my car I also asked the technician checking my car in if it was standard to refill windshield washer fluid and fill the tires if they were low. He said yes. When I got halfway home my tire pressure monitoring system advised me my tires hadn't been filled. I called back to the store and they said stop by one day and they would do fill the tires. They must have missed it even though it was on the original order. I went home and I never went back out that night. The next morning I had to be someplace early. When I backed my car out the garage there was a large puddle of oil under the car. I was told to be concerned about this much oil. I returned to Firestone and and had very strong words for the mechanic, Greg, who did my oil change. He argued with me that he did it right. The head mechanic said he would look it over and see what the problem was. I left my car and when they called they said on Saturday when the mechanic, Greg did my oil change he did not put my oil drain plug on correctly and he did not pay attention to the order on the tires to refill them either. If an oil plug comes off this can cause all the oil to come out of the car and your engine to blow up if you drive very far like that. My car is a brand new 2015. The manager was not in that day, but the Head Mechanic apologized and said he had already advised him of the situation. I was told I would be refunded for the full oil change to the correct card from Saturday and I would not have to pay for the correction on Sunday. I also asked that the Manager, James call me on Monday. Monday came and went I never heard from the Manager. I let my parents know because they had been using that Firestone location for the last 15 years and there had been other incidents in the past with my family. My parents wanted assurances from the Manager that this issue was going to be handled and they were not going to continue. One time my brother-in-law got new tires and the mechanic did not tighten the lug nuts on them so the tires almost came off on the freeway while he was going 65 mph. My Dad called on Tuesday and was told the Manager was in training and would return Thursday. He told the technician to have the Manager call. We got to Saturday and still nothing. My Dad stopped in and was told the Manager was at lunch. The Manager still never bothered to call. I finally stopped back in today and let the Manager know how rude it was not to return customers calls. His response was that he thought everything was good and didn't think he needed to call. Not to mention he never credited my account for the original oil change. He had a very arrogant attitude and didn't seem very sorry about the incident at all. He did give me a $100 credit on my Firestone account to pay for my original oil change and then an additional credit, but in his comments he put I was unhappy that my drain plug was left loose and they had to change my oil for a second time. Is this Manager serious? I was unhappy? Who wouldn't be unhappy with that level of service? I have a brand new car, not to mention kids that ride in my car. Oh and let's not forget giving out people's personal information because someone wasn't paying attention and pulled the wrong slip and charged someone wrong. I bet that persons not happy!! Not to mention the incompetency of the technicians and majority of the mechanics EXCEPT for the Head Mechanic and their careless attitudes. They clearly don't care about their customers either! Needless to say my family and I will never be using this location again. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone if you want a functioning car and don't want to have to make several trips back. read more

Been going to this Location for years, never had any complaints in the past. Today my husband dropped my car off about 3pm to have the power window put back on the track, as it had come off, and a couple other minor maintenance issues taken care of. They called a total of 3 times and each time was a different person. That right there can lead to communication failure and probably isn't good practice. I don't remember the name of who I spoke with first, but the 2nd call was from Gaster, who claimed that the motor and regulator in the window I was having put back on the track was broken. I told him the motor was fine when the car arrived, the window went up and down with no issues it simple needed to be put back on the track. He then changed his story to..well it might just be starting to go bad and work on and off. I said well it has never not worked for me so please just put the window back on the track, I do not want to replace the motor and regulator at this time. He said okay. About 11 minutes after I hang up with him Cody calls and says my car is ready. At this point my car has been there for a little over 3 hrs. My husband goes in to pay and pick the car up and NOTHING has been done to the window! The only thing we have to show for it is a $64.49 charge. He of course wants to know why they called and said it was ready when it was not, and why they charged us for nothing. They refused to do anything about it, because they didn't have enough staff, cause the techs go home at 6pm. Mind you this location is open until 8pm, and my car had been dropped off at 3pm with an appointment. They said we could bring it back tomorrow! Yeah cause I have nothing else better to do then bring my car back for a 2nd day in a row to fix something that they had spent 3 hours on already! Gaster did end up refunding the $64.49 charge that we got for nothing, and we were told to call and speak with the tech that "worked" on it tomorrow. He of course had already left and wasn't there. This is all very frustrating for long time customers to get a huge run around and no resolution to our problem! If this is how Firestone is now treating its customers, they won't be getting our business any longer. read more

They make sure you get what you need and provide extra services like calling the dealers for you and even offered to keep my vehicle there until i could figure something out. Made an appointment for an oil change. Got to the store on time, and then waited ten minutes for the service writer to come off the shop floor because he was arguing with one of the techs. I was then told my appt was not in the computer, I verified the address when I made my appt. I was then told that it would be 15 minutes until they started on my rental car, followed by another 45 minutes for the oil change. I've never heard of an oil change taking so long on a brand new vehicle, no inspections were necessary. I was told 45 minutes to an hour was a standard firestone oil change. If it takes their techs that long to do an oil change I am going to go somewhere that hires real mechanics to work on the cars. read more

Yesterday my wife and I were traveling to Columbus, OH to pick up her Dad from the hospital. He was scheduled to get out today and we were going to stay with friends last night and pick him up at 10:00 today. Last night after we arrived in Columbus, I checked the car since we had problems with it starting earlier and it wouldn't start - the battery was dead. I thought about taking it to another place this morning, but I believed it needed more than just a battery check since there had been some arcing. After checking Yelp, I found a Firestone close to our friend's place. After we finally were able to jump the car I drove it to Firestone in Gahanna. Went inside at 8:00 am and talked to Tim Campbell and Gaster (sorry I didn't get his last name). I explained to them how we were driving my Father-in-law's car and had a problem, plus I needed to pick him up at the hospital at 10:00 am. They went above and beyond expectations. They and their team troubleshot the problem, had to locate a battery at a different location and get it, repair the battery cable, and make sure the car was safe and wouldn't have any other problems. Because of this great team and their understanding of true customer service, we were able to pick him up from the hospital knowing we were driving a car taken care of by true professionals. I love coming to this store as I am always treated well and any issues with my vehicle are explained thoroughly. I never feel as though I am being sold something to make a quota. The service advisors, techs, and Manager James all go above and beyond to make sure everything is done correctly and efficiently. I have been offered specials as they were needed by MY vehicle. I never felt like any work was a "High Pressure Sale". They have coffee available while you wait and even let me move their little side table next to the seating so I may set up a Laptop and work while I wait! I love this location! read more

My husband and I were driving back cross-country from my grandmother's funeral with our two young kids when our tire pressure light came on. The metal cap to the air plug was stuck, so my husband found the Firestone on Morrison Road and pulled in. Gaster and his colleague Tim realized the plug and tire pressure sensor needed to be replaced and began working on it right away. The technician, Rocky, was fantastic- thorough and quick. They even had toys hidden away in a big plastic wheel drum that kept our 2 and 4 year old entertained while they worked. We were back on the road in just a few minutes. And far from charging out-of-towners an arm and a leg, they were more than fair. Not sure when we'll be back on Morrison road again, but we recommend Tim, Gaster and Rocky to those of you in Columbus! read more

Went to get 2 new tires on my car and once it was done one of the mechanics drove my car out side and then opened the hood and disconnected my wires to my air filter so it wouldn't start ! I had to call cooperate because 2 guys in the lobby told me they were to busy and didn't care ! Horrible service for a customer that just spent money on 2 new tires !
