Rude and gaslighting Called to make an appointment for an inspection sticker. Was told they don't do appointments for that. It's first come first serve. Ask what times they're open. Long sigh from employee who seems irritated with my questions. Told her I would come when they open on my next day off work. Fast-forward a few days later I get a flat tire. I call to make an appointment to have the tire changed. They make an appointment for me. I tell them thank you I will come on that day at that time and also as a reminder, I still need to get an inspection sticker that day as well. I show up 10 minutes prior to my appointment time. I wait one and a half hours. I asked for an update on the car. They say they are just starting to work on it now one and a half hours past the appointment time. They say this is my fault because I added on the inspection sticker at the last minute. (although it was not at the last minute, they knew about it when I made the appointment). I arrange for a ride to pick me up and I very nicely asked the employees could they please call me when the car is ready. They responded "oh we will be MORE than happy to call you. VERT happy to do that" in a sarcastic tone. Keep in mind I sat still for one and a half hours and kept my mouth shut without questions up until the one time that I asked for an update on my car after waiting for an hour and a half. After leaving at which time they had just started working on my car, they call me 10 minutes later and say my car is ready. How do you go from not having started working on it to being ready 10 minutes later and yet I had to wait one and a half hours before you even started working on it? I come back and the dashboard has all these lights on it for lane departure warnings and brake system warnings. These were not on prior to the tire change. I asked the employees about it. They said this is unrelated and I should take it to the dealership. Seems funny that unrelated lights would come on as the tire is being changed. I called the dealership. They said these lights ARE related to the tire change. I go back in store again and I tell them what the Dealership told me. They act very irritated with me. They say their tire guy is at lunch and can't look at it. I asked "all your mechanics are at lunch at the same time?" No only one of them is at lunch. They agreed to take another look at it. They find the issue. They corrected it. No apologies nothing. They give me my key back. This is now taken 3 1/2 hours of my life just to get a tire changed and an inspection sticker. This is too much. This is frustrating. Your employees are very rude. They gaslight the customers. They make us feel like we are a burden. If you do not want to deal with the public, do not take a job where you are working with the public. Next time I will drive to the dealership for care. This is one of the worst customer service experiences have had in a long time. read more

They don't honor their warranty!!!! A nationwide warranty isn't useful when they refuse to look at a car.

I went here initially for an alignment, after my first alignment I had to return because my car still pulled hard to the right. After the second alignment my car started to make a grinding noise during acceleration from a stop. Returned to the same location multiple times with no fix for the new noise. I decided to remove the driver side wheel since that's where it sounded like it came from. My impact wrench couldn't remove the lug nuts. With a 2ft breaker bar and my 200lb self jumping up and down, I managed to remove the wheel (torque spec for my vehicle is around 80lbs). Didn't see any obvious issues so I planned to return to Firestone. On the way back from firestone with no resolve, my passenger wheel came off while driving. All 6 wheel studs had sheared off. Their "independent 3rd party inspection" which was held at their shop after they had already repaired the broken parts and I was not invited to as owner of the vehicle, concluded that I must of hit a pothole or curb at high speeds. I would imagine that if I hit something with that much force that there would be more damage than just the studs (broken tie rod cv axle, bent rim). I have dash cam proof of speed and location with no potholes or impacts, witnesses, and my own mechanics inspection. They also said I must of removed both wheels since my sway bar was removed. I had removed it chasing the grinding noise that started after visiting firestone. I also proved to the mechanics and manager,laying on my back in the firestone shop, that I can indeed remove and put back on the sway bar without removing the wheels. I never gave them authorization to repair my vehicle before the 3rd party inspection (violates VA state code). How can the inspector conclude anything with the car repaired? Why would they fix it if they weren't liable? They put the same damaged wheel back on to test drive it. And I still have to go through my insurance, pay my deductible and have my rates raised to fix the body damage and new wheel because of their negligence and inability to diagnose and fix a problem they caused. I have invoices of them doing tire rotations a couple weeks before the wheel came off and judging by the amount of force it took to remove the driver side wheel, I'm convinced they over torqued the other lug nuts too, stretching the studs causing them to shear off. I don't have the time or money to fight this but would like everyone to know not to trust Firestone with anything. read more

I routinely take my car to the dealership for all its needs. Since I was running short on time, I dropped in for an oil change. They were quick, entertaining & explained why there was too much air in my tires..... they fixed that. Definitely try again........ read more

I set up an appointment online and got back the automatic response. I called an hour later to make sure it went through and was told to bring my care half to one hour after the appointment time. OK, it would have been nice to confirm the time or contact me with the new info, but OK. So I show up just before the beginning of the window of the revised time only to be told that they had no record of my appointment and that they could get my car done in a couple of hours. I've been here before and they do fine work, and if I hadn't called, I could chalk it up to an incompetent computer system, but I called and talked to someone there and they still blew me off. read more

Wow, made an appointment for friend for a front alignment. They received a call stating they could not do it until the Struts were fixed. Went from a $79 to over $400. I told them to go someone where else. Which they did and guess what? Struts were good. I am anti gouging but this is what you get from these box stores. Go to your local mom and pop and you will leave happy. Here you will leave with no money. You earned it you should spend it but not on Firestone. read more
