Firestone has always been one of my go-to options for vehicle maintenance, but this Gresham location on Burnside is making me seriously reconsider. They damaged my vehicle--and then tried to brush it off like nothing happened. I brought in my Impreza hatchback for an alignment. The service tech was friendly, and I explained that my main concern was a violent vibration in the brake pedal whenever I braked at highway speeds. Other shops had tossed around different causes--warped rotors, bad alignment, unbalanced tires. Since I already had a lifetime alignment package with Firestone, I figured I'd start there. When the car was ready to be taken off the lift, the same tech carefully backed it out while the store manager, Jose, and another employee watched. As the rear tires reached the ramp, I heard a crunch and instantly felt something was wrong. It looked like the car had bottomed out. They tried several times to place blocks under the rear tires for support, but when the car finally hit the ground, it was obvious something had been damaged--a plastic panel was now hanging from the bottom of the car between the front and rear doors on the driver's side. Jose tried to downplay the situation, saying the piece wasn't important and, word for word, "nothing that we damaged, it's just the way it is because your car is very low." Regardless of the car's ground clearance, it was clear he didn't want to take accountability for his team's mistake. To his credit, Jose eventually did order a replacement piece, but it took some convincing--and throughout the conversation, he spoke to me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I'm not a mechanic, sure, but I do know that if you see a vehicle starting to bottom out, you stop it before it causes damage. What's the point of watching if you're not going to intervene? Another employee even tried to blame the damage on my aftermarket wheels, claiming that's why the car sat lower. But just moments before, he had asked Jose if Imprezas come this low from the factory. Let's be real--whether the car sits low or not, precautions should've been in place. Someone should have been actually spotting to make sure this exact thing didn't happen. Then, to make matters worse, I received the emailed invoice afterward and noticed two serious red flags: my signature had been forged--literally just a curved line--and the mileage was completely wrong. They had entered a number nearly double my actual odometer reading which I believe gets reported to CarFax making it harder for me when/if I decide to sell the car for incorrect odometer reading. If that doesn't speak to the ethical standards at this location, I'm not sure what does. In the end, the team at this location made excuses instead of taking full responsibility. I've had alignments done at the Happy Valley Firestone with zero issues. This experience was a complete letdown. read more

Paid $65 dollars for a check engine light from these folks to tell me what was wrong with it. They said 7.980 dollars for repairs! 2013 Subaru $20.00 Map Sensor was replaced from the auto part store. The check engine light was off after the sensor was replaced. Utube your problems. Get your answer from Utube!. Never will I ever go to them again! Just brought $800 in tires from them less then a month ago. I will not spend another dime with them. read more

I had a appointment at 8 am , drive there ( after putting air in my flat tire) in the ice and snow. A man comes out and says " can I help you" ( really rudely) I said Yes, I have a appointment. He says WHAT TIME ? I said 8 am he says... Nope! I canceled it. I said what when, he didn't respond I said I just checked my email, and it's my appointment was still confirmed and I called him he said nope I just did it about 10 minutes ago. Are you kidding me so I just called and checked my e-mail drove in the ice and snow and you're telling me 10 minutes before you cancel my appointment well not enough people and he walked off. Ok... lots of bad reviews... like Jiffy Lube (who I go to sometimes for my daily driver Honda Pilot to get cheap Oil Changes) I went here to get a quick 21.99 oil change (out the door price) I figure I could do it myself for 16 bucks, I will pay 5 to not have to! Why the bad reviews? I feel people are going here for tires, and work... Go to a specialized spot for work... I would never use them as a shop... Go to a Les Schwab or Discount for tires... I went here, they made a last minute appointment, they had me book 3 days out to get the last slot (1hr before close) I was one of 2 cars there, Oil change took 40 minutes... was it long, yes, but that is life. No fault there. Did they try to trick me or sell me on stuff? They told me of a promo for fuel system cleaner for 8.99... I passed, they let it go. Came back after the oil change and inspection, this is where they hammer you. His words 'everything looks great, it is well taken care of, but you may need new tires at the end of the year' wham bam thank you ma'am read more

Wow what a terrible experience didn't even make it to the appointment! DO NOT COME HERE! I made an appointment online to have a check rngine light diagnosed, some head lights and tail lights changed and an oil change. I got a confirmation email that my appointment was confirmed and then a second one telling me to call the store? I called and spoke with Morgan who was not helpful. They booked multiple people for my 9am appointment and I could either spend all morning waiting around or come back in a few weeks for another appointment. Then I get informed that they can't do any sort of diagnostics on the weekends only M-F, why even put this as a service to have done on a weekend appointment. And to top it off they stated they can't install customer supplied parts (I had previously bought my own lights from Napa just need the labor done) instead Morgan quotes me $70+ for just one headlight bulb NOT INCLUDING LABOR! I had the worst experience today with this Firestone in Gresham. I spoke to the sit in service manager Tony since yesterday calling to confirm price, availability and ability to get 6 new tires. I called again this morning to confirm I can come in. I get there and get told they can't do my vehicle. Tony sends me to GCR saying they are the same company they will have the tires and honor my price. I get to GCR they inform me they are not the same company, do not have my tires and will charge me $200+ more than what Firestone quoted me. Tony was just complaining about being moved from one store to the next because people couldn't pass a background or drug screen. It seems like they should focus more on custom service and having an employee that cares not to waste a customers gas and time read more

I've bought tires here a couple times, and gotten several oil changes. My experience has always been fine. Never super-amazing, but they deliver what they promise, and I think the prices are probably in line with the competition. I'd probably go with 3 stars as just average, although they are really the only car maintenance place of their type open on Sunday. So that gets a 4th star for convenience. (When coupled with Gresham Ford that is open on weekday evenings until 10pm, there really aren't too many minor car maintenance things you can't get taken care of on an evening/weekend). read more

I had set up an appointment for alignment online. The website said if the spot is unavailable someone at the shop will call to set up a different appointment. I had no call and now no alignment. Very disappointed in the customer service at this location. I asked for the store manager and he was on vacation so i asked for the second in charge (Wilson), if he had numbers to district manager or area manager and they didn't have any of those numbers. What locations or employees don't know the numbers to the upper management. Poor customer service and poor management of scheduling system. This location is the worst. I absolutely cannot stand Jay, the manager. He is very pushy and talks to customers like they're beneath him and like WE need HIM. He is very unprofessional. He told me they will not fix the specific issue I was experiencing with my vehicle until I agree to a full inspection since supposedly they can't get to the root of the issue unless they do this. The other mechanics are great, they get the job done. I feel bad for them because of who their manager is but they work hard and it shows. I commend all of them for getting my car fixed in a timely manner and they do it right the first time. Jack is also another guy who is very nice, he makes me feel welcomed. I've been going to Firestone Complete for many years in different locations that I've lived across the U.S. One thing that has been consistent for me, including this location, is honesty. I was just in to get my brakes checked and they mentioned that my tires need replacing. Expecting to hear that all four need to be replaced, the technician (Jack) was very honest and straight forward telling me that only two were in trouble and the other two were fine (due to alignment issues). Anywhere else I would've taken my car, I feel that I would've been taken advantage of just given the fact that I'm a woman. Great experience working with the service staff. Brought in my BMW 530i for one tire puncture, and after performing a thorough inspection of my vehicle's tires, their mechanic discovered a second punctured tire along with extreme uneven wear due to vehicle misalignment. Although a bit of bad news to hear their recommendation for all new tires and alignment, they anticipated my need and ordered the tires right away. After consulting with my regular mechanic, I returned to install the new tires and fix my vehicle's alignment, and even got a bit of discount for getting four new tires at once. All repairs performed quickly and thoroughly. Good experience overall. Would bring my vehicle here for all tire issues. read more

Manager took me and showed me all the pads and rotors after they removed wheels for brake inspection. Everything was good. They rotated the tires and charged me zero! Great customer service. My husband worked right next to this store and we were heading out of town the next and had to fix a slow leak. For about $15 they could fix the flat if it was not to hard to fix. We were told that the hole was in a place that the repair is not covered by the $15. So the next day, losing time for packing, I took the car to Les Shwab where they fixed it for free. We did get an oil change for $26 and we were not charged for the attemped to fix he flat. The customer service was good and they were sorry and explain why they could not fix it. If you need to fix a flat, go to Shwab. For other car/tire needs, they are a good place to check out. read more

very seldom do I feel the need to give one star on any review. But I am very insulted. I have never gone to Firestone before. So this was my first experience. I had been researching tires online and found a great tire and they had a sale" buy 3 get 1 free". So I made an appt onine with my quote a few days in advance knowing I had a day off. I arrived on time to my appt. They took my keys told me to come back in an hour. So, I went shopping.I came back 40 minutes later and THEN they said that they can't find one of the tires. So not only was my appt scheduled days ahead of time so they KNEW i was coming in, they had my car for 40 minutes, and they didn't realized they were missing a tire until I got back??? The tire I wanted was the affinity touring tire 70k. Reg price they are about $95.00 a tire. They called me over and explained a tire is missing so they only have 3.. He tells me can offer me a set of different tires for the same price (he really tried to imply he was lowering the price for me). He walks me to the wall display and he offers me a 65k tire. FR710 and explains it's basically the same tire.. so he was offering me a "deal" to sell it to me for the same quote price as the affinity touring. I had never looked up the FR710 and so I declined and asked him to get the other affinity tire and I'd come back later, But, when I got home and looked at the FR710 and did a quote just to compare how much money he was taking off the price as he made it seem, I as pissed because the quote I got is LESS then the quote I have for the affinity but he was going to be "nice" and sell them for the same price?? WTH?? YOU screwed up my appt. wasted my time, and then you are going to rip me off as a favor?? NO THANK YOU. the FR710 reg price is $15.00 PER TIRE LESS then the affinity touring I was quoted and showed up to purchase.. Most places that just screwed up would offer a higher quality tire as a replacement not a cheaper tire for the same price!!!! But apparently that isn't how Firestone does business. It's been a long time since I have felt someone was trying to push me over because I was female. That is how I felt and so, I ended up just cancelling the quote and going somewhere else. read more

Drive past this place all the time on my way to Les Schwab but had a flat and was running late for work. Stopped in for what should've been a quick fix. Waited for 30 minutes for them to tell me tire was "un-repairable". Bummer. But I thought that might be worst case so I brought a spare full size wheel in case. They quoted me a high price for 1 tire. Didn't like the price so I said no thanks but asked for help putting my other wheel in my trunk on the car (while the car was still up on the lift and other wheel off). Guy says, "yeah, but that'll be $10". I was floored! 10 bucks to put a wheel on the car?! Again, car was on lift and they still had to put the wheel which I originally came in for on the car. Les Schwab would have never nickel and dimed their customer for an ask as simple as that. Should have went with my gut and skipped this place. Don't do business with them. First of all their prices they advertise are for the tires only as if you took them out the door. They nickel and dime you (more like dollar and 50 dollar you) and before you know it the price which you are paying are more than the competitors. I purchased the road side service which was also a scam... I brought my tire in with a puncture and they said it couldn't be fixed... I paid for another tire after they measured the tread use (Only have the tire a few months) and the tire ending being almost as much as when I bought it new. I then took the tire with a puncture (just out of curiosity) to Les Schwab and they were getting ready to fix it for free which then I told them what had just occurred. Had a set of new tires installed on my suv. Made an appointment with the store. I was in and out within the time frame quoted. One of the issues was somehow when mounting the tires, they scrapped up the chrome on a couple of the rims. But the major issue is, I received a slight discount but the store would not honor the tire price from Costco to include installation. I was informed since it's a membership store, they will not honor. I wish it would have indicated that on the web page. So I made the wrong decision and came here after going to their location on Powell (4601 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97206, don't go there either) three times attempting to get my brakes serviced and getting now where. On my first visit I came in and requested an alignment and break services, since their previous store didn't align my car after I paid $500+ on 4 brand new tires. So I leave my car in the morning and they keep it all day and don't even do the alignment or the breaks. Just a break inspection and ask me to come in again, which of course I made the mistake of doing. So I take my car in and after four visits finally get in it aligned however the break services wasn't done. So I wait a couple months take it in again (in Feb) and ask for my breaks to get serviced and they again take my car all day, however this time when I return they state they needed to order some parts and weren't able to finish. So they charge $700 and tell me they will call me back in with the parts get in. So June comes around and I still haven't had not one call from them so I call them and they manager states "I'm not sure what happened, but the part was never ordered. We'll order it now and get you in a couple weeks." So I take my car to Les Swab at this point just to see if anything was even done on my car in the first place, and of course nothing they charged me for was done. So I call the customer service, who apologies and states someone will call me within 24hrs to deal with the matter. 4 days later and I get a call and ask for a refund and the guy tells me "Oh well I figured I just give you a couple oil changes". Honestly don't go here or any other Firestone, especially if you're a femme. The guys will just disrespect you, take your money and then laugh at your when your request a refund. read more

We were stranded for 2 days there and they worked overtime and let us hang out there for 2 days till they found the prob and fixed. I just took in my new to me car. I have had my new car for only a week. I wanted to have an oil change and see what else needed work. My husband and I both checked the car before I left for scratches etc..When I got there they did a preliminary check and saw the same things we had. When I went to pick up my car they said the front driver side Center cap was missing. It was NOT! I see that wheel evertime I go to drive it..and then I noticed that my ride is way more bumpy not smooth as it had been. They told me before I left the front wheel was off-balance only a little. Ut before I went there it was a smooth ride not likenit is now..so not only did they lose or stole my Center wheel cap they also un balanced my wheels..better to go to honest 1 down the street. I sent my son over to get a nail pulled from a tire. We bought the tires thru Firestone (different location). But they refused because it was close to the side wall. That would be ok IF I DIDNT WORK FOR THEM AND DIDNT UNDERSTAND! But I used to work for Firestone and I know what a sidewall is and I k ow what I unrepairable tire looks like. AND ITS NOT THIS ONE! they tried to sell my son a tire he didn't need. They thought he was some kid who they could take advantage of. I have either Bridgestone or Firestone tires on my car, my sons, my wife's and my semi truck had firestones....5,000$ for the truck tires alone...then ad 3 sets of 4 for the cars and the previous 6 years of tires I got thru them and they try and up sell me? These clowns have lost their mind. I realize pot is legal in Oregon but they guys should lay off the smoke at work and make some reasonable decisions with their customers.
