I went into Firestone to get an oil change, and I came back to see my car door handle broken off. I've had my car for over 13 years, and the door handle has never budged. When I went to open my car after the oil change, the piece covering the keyhole fell off and the handle detached from the door itself. With the way it was left, it was obvious that they had broken the handle, and then put the piece back on to make it seem like it wasn't their fault. I spoke with them afterwards, and they claimed to have written in their notes that they "noticed the broken car door" while working on my car. If that was the case, why not tell me? And, when I left the car there, it was perfectly fine. They put no effort into trying to fix the handle, and showed no signs of apologizing for their mistake. So, I had to go home and glue the piece and handle back onto the door myself. read more

They called me 5 hours later and said my car is ready for pick up! I get home to realize they never rotated my tires at all!!! BUYER BEWARE - The Firestone Center on GB Alford HWY in Holly Springs, NC does NOT honor their tire warranty. They will invent any excuse to void the warranty. Manager at this center had a chance to make a loyal customer but chose not to. We have reported it to Firestone who said that the manager would contact us in 2 business days - NO contact. Reported this new fact and then were told that an area manager would contact us in 2 days also - again NO contact. The employee told me that it's "in the side wall according to Firestone" and I would have to purchase at a MINIMUM a $250 tire to replace it. He told me To go somewhere else. Bought tires here over a year ago. Purchased the life time alignment at same time. Try to have tires rotated every 5k miles which is included with purchase. Pricing is in the ballpark. Getting an appointment can take a week to get in but you can schedule on-line. Each time I am in there seems to be different staff assisting me. Attitudes change with staff which can be difficult at times. Service time frames are not quick but you can drop off and leave vehicle. Today I found out with my rotation, balancing is not included. I purchased a lifetime balancing program. I did this to assist with prolonging life of my tires, $65. read more

Scheduled an appointment for an oil change, cabin filter change and front and rear brake pads through their app. Arrived just before my 2pm appointment and was told that everything would be done by 3:30. After almost 2 hours of waiting I asked when my car would be done and was told that they'd check. After another 40 minutes and no update I asked another employee a d was told that they were just starting the oil change but that only a brake inspection was preformed. Showed the both the e mail and appointment confirmation through their app and just received a blank stare. I was then told that for whatever reason someone at Firestone "updated it" to just an inspection. Asked how long it would take to get the brakes done and after some head scratching by the manager, that the parts would need to be ordered and it would "probably be tomorrow if not the next day". After just over 3 hours of waiting, they were just starting the oil change. This took them almost hour to complete. Needless to say, I did not pay. This place sucks. There's no customer service. Appointments and the work you expect to be completed are apparently just suggestions. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

****ATTENTION READ THIS**** Ten years ago I was a Firestone employee. To this day, I believe Firestone is an amazing organization that treats its customers and employees with the utmost respect. Unfortunately, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the Holly Springs location. We brought my wife's car in for a BASIC oil change. The next day I drove her car to work when I noticed a strong odor of oil. Upon arrival, I discovered there was a missing oil cap under the hood and splashes of oil everywhere. I looked around to see if it happened to pop off and was hanging around and it was no where. I called the shop to inform them and they asked me to bring it back. Well, I didn't want to drive it back with no oil cap, so I rolled up a small towel and used thick rubber bands to keep more oil from splashing out. After I brought the vehicle back and asked them to redo the job, the mechanic took the towel I placed "where the cap was supposed to be" and threw it on the passenger seat. Look, I am not mad that they screwed up the job, stuff happens, people make mistakes, I realize this. However, for the mechanic to just throw the towel back into the car, which CLEARLY HAD FRESH OIL ALL OVER IT, is a clear disregard for customers property. If he didn't want to redo the job, he could have done it right the first time. When I brought this up to the manager he mentioned they have had issues with this employee for a while now. Well sir, pull up your big boy pants and give him the boot. There are plenty of citizens that are capable and willing to do the job which he clearly doesn't want to. The service from start to finish was great, super receptive and welcoming when I went and dropped my car off for all 4 tires being replaced and an alignment. After completion they called to let ke know my car was ready for puck up at the time I had requested. Firestone has a new manager named Mark (I forget his last name). The level of customer service has suffered under his reign. I had my MDX in replace my timing belt tensioner. They replace my serpentine belt instead. We had to bring it back and have the timing belt tensioner replaced. They somehow screwed up the serpentine belt and the entire part fell out of my car. If you are not familiar with this part, it controls your power steering, ac, and water pump, so not only could I steer my car, it would also over heat . Thank goodness this "fell" off my car in a parking lot. When I took my car back to Firestone, they try to tell me it was a defect in my car. Long story short, I had my car there this week because my car is making the same noise it did when my tensioner was going bad. I played the video of the noise for the mechanicals he said that it sounded like the tensioner, but was later told that they could not fix it and I would get a refund. When I picked up my car today, mark said he would be in co tact with my husband the following day . I have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow. Stay away from here. They have no idea what they are doing and they are degrading to women read more

Stay away from the Fuquay location. I went there to get 4 new tires and asked them to do a DMV inspection. They called me to tell me that my rack and pinion had a leak and it was going to cost $1300 to fix it. They said that unfortunately, it was 8 plus hours of labor, but they said they could do it that day. Odd thing is, most places wouldn't have the parts in stock and it was already late in the day so kind of strange that they were able to do 8 hours of labor when it was already lunch time and I know they had other vehicles to work on. The thing that was most odd, was that there has not been a drip or drop of fluid under my car and I don't drive it often because I mostly work from home. No issues with my power steering either. The whole thing seemed off. So I went to my regular mechanic, who I have known for years and trust 100%. He looked at it and confirmed that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my rack and pinion. They failed my inspection for it, too. read more

We had new tires put on our Tahoe at the Fort Bragg location. I informed them that we tow with our Tahoe and would need sufficient tires and to please check the alignment. I explained to them that we had this set on for about 4yrs and there was so much wear to them already. I explained to them how our steering wheel seems crooked and if they could tell us what the problem was, that would be fantastic. They were running a sale on lifetime alignment for 169.99 and we signed up. We left with our new tires and were told they fixed the alignment as well. About three weeks later, we went camping and when we returned, my husband noticed the two front tires were worn very bad inside. He was not happy. Steering wheel still crooked also. So we called the Firestone in Holly Springs (since we live near by). We explained what was going on and let me just say they went well above and beyond! The young gentleman, Rance-helped us. He replaced the two front tires for us, and he also replaced all 4 of our tie rods and adjusted our alignment where the steering wheel is straight! We weren't charged a cent extra!!!! We couldn't have been happier. It was a blessing, a huge blessing for us. Thank you so much Rance and the staff at Firestone in Holly Springs for going above and beyond to meet customer satisfaction. This location is really busy! The staff was friendly and efficient. I had a nail in my tire and they let me drop off the tire yesterday and then changed it out for me today. They checked my spare to make sure it was still good and checked my pressure in all my tires. They weren't pushy trying to get me to buy stuff I didn't want or services I can't afford. I just wanted to say what a great experience I had with the Firestone in Holly Springs. For years I've been going to the Apex location. Also great experiences. The HS location had a tire I needed for my BMW and so I decided I'd try them out. To my surprise, several people from the Apex location (including Mario) are now at the HS location. My tire was changed quickly and inspection completed in a reasonable timeframe. While I was waiting, I decided to follow up on doing some repairs on an old car in my garage (90 Mazda RX-7). To my surprise, their pricing for a driveshaft replacement was extremely reasonable. I had them order the part that same day and scheduled a time to drop of later in the week. When the time came, they were fully prepared and did a great job not only replacing the driveshaft, but keeping me informed about the status. I highly recommend the location. Over a year ago I had a bad experience with Firestone in Holly Springs, NC. I was in a pinch and needed my truck fixed asap so I went back. They went above and beyond getting me in when there was no openings, ordered my part to be delivered overnight, and had it finished early the very next day. I had to have a coolant line that was leaking and cracked replaced. The part was actually three hoses all connected together in a T and it all had to be replaced. They were super nice and the part with labor was reasonable. I am very impressed by how this place has stepped up! Very happy! Would go back! read more

We've been experiencing service issues with Firestone in Holly Springs recently. On one trip in, I asked to have my tires rotated, among other things...the tires were never rotated. I know this because one of the tires had a leak that did not move when the tires should have been rotated. So we take the car back in to get the rotation done. I tell them to rotate the tires, and run an alignment check. This time, they rotate the tires, but don't run the alignment check. I paid for a lifetime alignment check. Come on! So, I'm considering going elsewhere for all my service needs going forward. In the meantime, I've resorted to having to number my tires when rotation is needed, checking my oil to make sure it is clean oil,, and actually staying there and watching the work be done from outside the service bay. In other words, they have lost my trust. I call the manager to discuss all this and he says he'll make it right. He makes notes in my service record that don't get acted on on my next service there. Below is the response I sent to Firestone Corporate's survey team over my recent experience: I brought in my Jeep and a Firestone Free Battery Check coupon for this service. Battery was checked and they told me I need new battery and new alternator. I asked 3 times for Free Battery Check coupon to be applied to my bill at different stages of the repair process, starting when I first walked in the door. They would not apply the coupon to the bill (even though the charge was there) when I asked about it, they kept saying "we will take it off later". I heard this "we will take it off later" from both Firestone employees working the inside of the store. When it came time to pay the bill, I noticed again the coupon was not applied and I demanded the $25 battery charge be honored with the coupon, this is the service special in the Firestone app on my phone and also on a piece of paper in front of them (I printed the firestone coupon just for them! It was inside my repair sleave the entire time....no excuse for missing this) WHY do I have to demand a Firestone coupon be honored? In my opinion, Firestone does this on purpose (at this store anyway). In general, they rush you through your bill at the end and expect you to catch things like this. Works great to make extra $ from people who might not look their charges over line per line. Look, within all your stores you have a picture of your company founder Harvey Firestone, hanging over the door leading to go out to the shop, which says "I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business". To me it appears Mr Firestone's motto does not apply to this store. I stopped getting all my vehicles serviced at this location for this very reason (lack of trust in one form or another), and I would drive out of my way to the Apex Firestone because I can trust them. I came back for this Holly Springs location to see if anything has changed, and nothing has changed. I've been pretty patient about this over the years, but it appears to me that I need to find a new honest auto repair shop. read more

Let me start off by saying that I would not write a negative review if I didn't already give them the benefit of the doubt on more than one occasion. =============================== So here you go... I stopped by for an alignment after installing some new tires. Simple. 4 visits later and a drive with a technician, they finally realized I needed a camber kit. Now, each time earlier, I told them... "what do we need to do to fix this?". I was OK to pay extra to put this behind me, no problem. After much back and forth, management finally stepped up and said they would pay for the camber kit, $30 maybe, and get it done right. A sincere thank you came out of my mouth. I mean these guys work hard. I understand that. I later drove back home after the repair, got under the car and the promised parts were NOT installed. I went back and their response was that I should take it elsewhere. I did. =============================== Here are some other experiences I've had while visiting there: 1. They exaggerate the problem. Them: "It's a big job. $$$$" Truth: 1hr, no lift. 2. They do not check their repairs. Them: "Yep, your good to go" Truth: It's still broken or not quite right and they are rushed to free up the bay. Bays = $$$ 3. There is no follow up. Them: "Yeah, let me know if you still have the same problem." What they should say: Since we've had a tough time with this repair, let me follow up with you on Tuesday. Is that ok? I'll add that the repairs I have gone there for, are for the most part easy. Easy because I've done them myself in the past. I just happen to have the money to pay someone else now. Advice to FS: Less volume, more quality. Advice to potential customers: Go elsewhere. Find a place where you can meet with the mechanic performing the work. For complex jobs, pay the dealer for a quote... it's worth the diagnostics fee. If you must go here, keep it simple or research the problem before hand so you're better informed when you walk in. **WE ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS, and WE PAY TO GET IT FIXED** read more

After taking the vehicle in several times and missing work in order to do, we still do not have an air condition that works in the vehicle. Horrible customer service!! Doesn't deserve that one star but had to leave it to review. We went there for oil change, tire rotation, realignment, and nail in tire. They turned us away too busy, so we made an 8:00 appt the next day. The front desk man was annoyed, rude and condescending. The next morning at 8:00, he wanted us to drop the car off and return later in the day. He should have been able to service in less than hour. Then told us we had 3 nails in a tire and three terrible tires that will not pass inspection. Not the case at another company. Watched guy being rude to too many people and turned away a lot of people at 9:00 in the morning. Don't bother them with car maintenance or allow them to charge for issues that aren't there!! read more
