I had to replace one OE tire on my car after hitting a curb and causing a separation within the sidewall. Roderick the CS rep was able to find the replacement and was able to match a cheaper price that I was quoted by their competitor. It took awhile to get the tire, install, balance etc but no longer than any other service company. This is my second experience with this Firestone location and I highly recommend them. Wanted to love it but they fell way short. Tires were a great price and installed correctly. Everything after that was a disaster. Needed a new part for suspension. They got wrong part delivered. Second time the part didn't fit. Car was stuck overnight on a very small job because they had already taken it apart. Charged me $140 for coolant after they couldn't find any leak. Then didn't even put correct coolant in. Charged me $38 for wipers I DID NOT authorize. Stick with them for tires if you have to, but everything else is a scam. It's a shame because the lobby had a lot of seniors and knowing they are getting fleeced by these clowns makes my blood boil. read more

Having said that, they do charge a lot, and Firestone itself is one of the most expensive places you can come to. Y'all, I should have read reviews of this place before taking my car in. DO NOT COME HERE. As multiple other people have stated this place (and pretty much all other firestones) will try to scam you out of money. I took my car in for an oil change and a full diagnostic. They told me that my front struts were completely damaged and needed to be replaced. They said the cost of it was around 1400$ or so. First of all, they were charging 500$ per strut when you could buy the factory parts for my car for 100$ each. And 400$ for labor which is whatever. I decided to wait and take my car to another shop for a full diagnostic a few weeks later. I didn't tell them what Firestone said because I wanted to see what they would say. This particular shop has a really nice system where they don't just tell you what's wrong with your car. They include pictures and documentation describing their reasoning. It turns out my struts are completely fine. So, not only did this Firestone try to overcharge me for the repairs but they completely made up the repairs that I needed to scam me out of money. You will 100% save yourself potentially 1000's of dollars by not coming here. read more

I was not told that there would be a charge for diagnosing the vehicle. $120? Really? I did receive $20.00 off since I complained. Only reason I stopped here is because my car stalled out right there on the feeder road - no choice. I was told that my car had so many things wrong with my car that it added up to over $4,700.00!!!! I took my car to another mechanic and your mechanics were wrong - it was my fuel pump that went out that was causing my car to stall and backfire. I would have spent a lot of money and still had a problem!! Shame on you for trying to scam people. You need to hire qualified mechanics, quit trying to find ways to make more money from a customer, and also lower your prices to be competitive. Just had a great experience and happy to report they are under new management as of this week! We called ahead of time and spoke with Lorenzo about possibly needing to replace my car battery. He ordered the battery and it was there when we showed up 1 hour after the phone called as planned. We spent the short amount of time we had to wait walking around Memorial City Mall (1 minute walk through the parking lot) and hitting the food court. Worth noting, they have a ton of cold complimentary water bottles, coffee station, tv (Spider-Man was on and not the news which is NICE!), kids table, etc in the waiting area. Everyone at this location was extremely polite, professional, and really took the time to explain our options, prices, warranties, and all. This is 100% my new car shop. These guys are a disaster. We spent 3k having our Enclave's alternator replaced. Three weeks later, we had to have it owed from UH. They will pay only if related to the repair. This time they said it was the belt, a pulley, some bolt they said they couldn't get out. All surrounding the alternator. All which my boyfriend had asked them specifically to check the first time, since the car was maki g a squeaking noise. They did this work yesterday, we paid 1400, got up this morning and the car won't start. Called. Same thing, "you can have it towed and we will pay if it's related to the work we did." I have taken our cars there for ten years and always knew they were expensive. But at least the work was done ok. No more. read more

The work performed was fine, no issues there that we can tell. Actually, we were very happy as they'd quoted us for a much more costly repair and then it turned out we needed only a minor repair and oil change - we appreciated the honesty! However, we later learned that employees at this location revealed information about our car and business there to a complete stranger over the phone. They did not have permission from me, nor was I ever notified by Firestone staff. They have no qualms with invasion of privacy. When I called to learn more about this, the employee rushed to provide excuses, such as the person calling must have posed as me or my spouse, etc. If this is happening with regularity, as it sounds like it is from the rapid fire excuses, why don't you take steps to protect your customers, such as verifying information? Terrible customer service. The specific technician who serviced my vehicle was disrespectful and made rude comments to me in regards to some issues with my Jeep. His name was Oscar. After emailing and speaking with management (I believe his name was Leonard, very nice) they apologized and gave me the free oil change. I make the appointment months later for the complimentary oil change and receive terrible service..... again. (Not as bad as the previous experience, but I couldn't believe my visit was terrible....AGAIN!) after both experiences I will never go back to this location - even though it is a block from my apartment. Save yourselves some time and go to a different location!!! But I must add throughout my experiences the front desk worker - Michael- was awesome! Took my car in for a simple oil change and they managed to even mess that up. I immediately began to hear a rattling noise around my engine area after the oil change and came back later in the week. Told them about the noise and that it happened right after they serviced my car and they said they'll take a look. When I came back, they made me pay $23 fee for an inspection of my car and said it isn't because of them that my car makes that noise. They told me it's an A/C problem and I'll only hear it when the A/C is turned on and to ask my dealership to fix it since they don't have the parts. I turned off the A/C on my drive home to see if that was the case, but the rattling noise was still there. I didn't want to come back since I was afraid they'd make me pay another $23 for another "inspection". My husband and friend looked at my car afterwards and found that when they were doing the oil change, they completely removed the splash guard under my vehicle to get to the oil pan which was completely unnecessary. There is an access port to get to it easily. In doing so, when putting it all back together, they left out 2 of the bolts that secured the rods to the frame which caused the rattling. So they not only caused the rattling, but they denied it and charged me for a wrong diagnosis. I will NEVER step foot in a firestone again. UPDATE: management ended up contacting me and refunding me my inspection fee and saying that he would talk to staff to make sure the same mistake wouldn't be repeated. The engine light came back in less than 50 miles of me driving the vehicle. Since I didn't do the catalyst parts with them back in September he kept saying that that was the reason the engine light came up. I paid for another inspection last week and he didn't even bother to check if what they did was an issue or not. The catalyst we're done back in September and he kept telling me that they were after market or whatever they are called. He could be right I don't know , but I don't need someone screaming at me and not hearing what I have to say when I pay 2500 for a service and his attitude was horrible. I went to get my oil change and they ended up messing up my motor. For not doing their job properly. They tried blaming me and didn't want to take responsibility of their mistake. Now my truck doesn't work and I had to fight to get some money out. The night I signed paper work someone broke my window and stole my radio. They are now using the excuse that because paperwork was done they are not responsible for what happened under their property. I really don't recommend this place. I have been good customer for over 11 years and now I'm left carless with nearly anything to fix it. The managers name is Kim and the day they made their mistake he began to act rude and careless. THESE LYING CROOKS! Had a slow leak in one tire. Went in to have it patched up. Guy at the front had poor customer service. Not acknowledged and walked past by him. Then when he finally does help me, never looks me in the eye and only at his computer. Umm.. okay. About an hour later, they call me and say I have 3 separate nails in 3 different tires and all the nails are places that can't be patched up, but the whole tire needs to be changed. Really? Of course the one tire that is actually new on my car missed these magically placed nails. They quote me over $350?! Then when I say I'm going to take my car somewhere else, they start bringing the prince down. Apparently, they were going to charge insurance on each tire and some other fees that were in their original quote. I take my car to a different shop. Guess what?! 2 of my tires DID NOT HAVE NAILS! I should have taken heed to the previous reviews. I took my car in for its state inspection. I knew going in I had warning indicators that my left turning signal light and my back brake light were out. When I arrived the gentleman was very nice, I stated to him about me needing both lights replaced. He told me what the total price would be to complete replacing the bulbs along with the inspection and told me he would give me a call when everything was ready. I received a call to let me know that my car failed the state inspection. The gentleman that called was not the same person I dropped my car with. He stated my car failed because my check engine light was on and that I was warned when I dropped the car off if my check engine light was on it would fail. Of course that was never said to me. I went to pick up my car and paid for the bulbs being replaced and the inspection and I was told if I brought my car back in 15 days with the light off I could then pass. No problem. Fast forward to when I get in my car. The lights aren't fixed! The warning indicators weren't reset or anything. So my question is what exactly did I pay for? Looking at the reviews, I just figured that I will give this location a chance since I'll be having lunch in the area and for sheer conveniences. I called Firestone in the morning, asking if there's any openings for an alignment? Firestone worker, Jeff, stated he can fit me in at 115pm. I cut my lunch short to make it to the 115pm appointment. Tell me why they pulled my car into their garage at 215pm?! Then don't book an appointment for me at 115. Many customers are pacing back and forth in the seating area hoping their names will be called next. Since I cut lunch short, i boxed my leftovers, good thing because I was getting hungry. I unraveled the leftovers as I waited. As I'm eating my oxtail stew, all eyes in the waiting room peered at me. I could see the sadness and hunger in their eyes as they've been waiting as long or even longer than me. I couldn't share my leftover, it's stew! I do not recommend anyone to come to this location nor will I ever return. I should have listen to the Yelp reviews. It will be a more inconvenience coming to this location. Just got my oil changed and tires rotated. When I picked up my car there were several little nicks that cut all the way through the tinting on my drivers side door window. When I went back in to tell them, they had me go out with the mechanic. The mechanic tried to tell me that I had them throughout the window and pointed out a couple of micro-bubbles. What he pointed out were not scratches and had nothing to do with the new nicks. The management tried to say "We don't do anything with the windows." I am not sure what happened, but the scratches did not exist before bringing my car there to get serviced. I did not want to argue, so I left. read more

(It was a small nail in the center of the tire), They opened the tire patched the hole but never removed the nail. Two days later tire start leaking again because the nail punctured thru the patch i took it back and they tried to put a rubber plug!!!!! However, the technicians could not tell the different between an Accent and an Elantra. I raised the issue with the manager and he casually brushed the issue off. I got my brakes and rotors changed here in March 2020. Less than a year later, I notice my car shaking when I brake. I make an appointment, bring it in and the manager Kim tells me that my tires just needed to be balanced. Nothing wrong with my brakes and rotors he says, but there is something wrong with my motor he says. Fast forward, I bring my car somewhere else for an oil change and they take pictures and tell me the rotors are warped as suspected. I call Firestone and Kim again disregards me. I call corporate and the woman who answered seemed like she was working from home and extremely unprofessional. I couldn't believe this was actually corporate, felt like I was calling some scam network. I was promised a call back the area manager and never received one of course. Brought my undamaged and perfect-running car (with a year-old radiator) here for an oil change. On the drive home, the car immediately began overheating. I opened the hood to see that my radiator now had a puncture, and needed to be replaced. Oh, and the hard plastic cover on the engine had been smashed, and the Acura medallion had been ripped off the back of the car - all in the 1.5 hours that Firestone had the car. I wanted the car serviced made safe, not vandalized and rendered inoperable. Firestone said it wasn't their fault, had me fill out a form and said their claims department would contact me immediately. That was five days ago... still waiting to hear from them. Stay away from these people - they don't keep their promises and your car may come back too dangerous to drive, like mine did. Update: The day after I posted this, a Firestone representative contacted me and agreed to pay for the radiator repair as an act of "customer goodwill." I still ate the cost of the rental car I had to get, and the other damage wasn't covered... not a great outcome, but better than nothing. If you have to deal with Firestone, I'd still avoid this location and go to the one at the corner of Washington and Houston Avenue, instead. read more

Unfortunately, I made an appointment for 1pm and they didn't start looking at my car until 6pm( an hour after I got out of work) I can understand it's the holidays and potential for being understaffed but on top of that the woman that helped was strange and passive aggressive at times. in the end they quoted me $2000 for a new catalytic converter. Which was over priced. (I checked with a different Firestone) and I'm disappointed to have left that place with the slimy feeling that I was trying to be taken advantage of. This is one of many 2-3 times I've ever felt this way when trying to get my car fixed and I've never had that feeling at a Firestone before. Don't go here. What can I say. WARNING: THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!!! Very dishonest mechanics here. I came in just to get an oil change, which took about an hour long (but they were somewhat busy so). After the oil change, the mechanic told me that something was "wrong". Apparently my alternative belt was "ripping" and that if i went out of town with that or kept driving any time soon, I'd be stranded! Although I felt extremely suspicious, especially because my car is in amazing condition (2009 car with barely 50,000 miles on it and well taken care of), I didn't want to risk it. So i ended up paying $500 for a replacement. After the replacement, I asked for my old belt back and found out nothing was wrong in the first place.. I also have the evidence of my old belt, which is perfectly fine. So please save your money. They're over priced and just a bunch of shady people!!! read more

I have gone to this location in the past and they always took good care of my car. However, it gets very busy so you can expect to wait a while without an appointment. You will probably get some attitude from the mechanics too. That being said, I submitted an online request 4 days ago for an appointment at this location. I indicated in the request that I needed new tires, alignment, oil change, and state inspection. I know what I need to get done and how much its gonna cost me - a few hundred dollars for sure. Took my Nissan in for a oil change and tire rotation. They did a inspection as well. I was called and told my back brakes were metal to metal and two front tires and air filter needs replacing. My husband checked the air filter and yes it was dirty, however the brakes did not need to be replaced as critically as it was expressed to me and only one tire needs replaced. Upon the inspection by my husband we discovered "SIMON" FAILED to tighten all of the lug nuts and lost a key lock in the process. I drove my child around in an unsafe vehicle due to carelessness on the Firestone stone employee. I lost 4 lug nuts while driving. This is my second time to visit. The first visit was great. This last visit on August 9th,2019 left a bad taste in my mouth, I have several colleges who will no longer visit this location.. VERY UPSET read more

Following my previous visit just a week ago for my vehicle, when my girlfriend mentioned she needed an oil change I knew exactly where to take her Pathfinder. Once again, the service was impeccable! The manager on duty, Oscar, was friendly, courteous, professional and most importantly he listened to my needs. Even on a busy morning, Oscar was able to get my unscheduled oil change in and out in 30min. Once again, the customer service was top-notch. For example, before undertaking any work, we discussed the options I had for the oil change and the corresponding costs. This allowed me to choose the best option for my needs. As customers, we all pursue a perfect trifecta of service, speed, and cost. We've all grown accustomed to looking past shortcomings in one or more of these three areas for the benefits to the other(s) (typically service and or speed are sacrificed for price). It's refreshing to have all three desires met - even exceeded! You could not find a better place to take your vehicle. I am extremely, extremely frustrated with Firestone Complete Auto Care Firestone Tires. I took my car there a little over two weeks ago to have my a/c fixed. They said I had a leak, they fixed it, and it worked. Lo and behold, two weeks later, it stops working. I take it back, I am spoken to rudely, and told that there will be a fee (which seems to go against their guarantee on their work). I dropped my car off yesterday around lunchtime. They called me around 3:30 yesterday to tell me that they hadn't been able to identify the problem yet, but that they would soon and that no matter what, I would get a call by the end of the day. I explained my frustration around the whole ordeal, as I was supposed to be going out of town yesterday. They never called back. At 9-something this morning, we finally called them and they admitted that they HADN'T EVEN LOOKED AT IT YET. After much complaint, they said that they would check it out and call back within 30 minutes to an hour. An hour and a half later, we called back. They are now saying that there are two other things wrong with it (that I guess they didn't see before) and that I will need to pay for them. That's so funny -- those two things were just fine two weeks ago when I picked it up! I have now filed a complaint with corporate and am waiting, still, to hear about the status of my vehicle. The last person we spoke with said that they didn't even think that they could get the parts. Firestone, you need to get it together. It's really sad that you LIE to your customers and put them through the ringer like this. I don't know if you expected me to be some little meek woman that would do whatever a man told her needed to be done with her car without complaint, but you picked the wrong lady to mess with.
