Don't bring your car here. They only want to sell you stuff you don't need! I went in for a tire rotation, alignment, and balance. There was a "shimmy" at highway speeds. I have the lifetime package therefore all was at no cost to me. I was told that my "rotors have heat glaze and both the rotors and break pads front and rear need to be replaced. The break fluid is dark and dirty. The break system needs to be flushed and the break fluid replaced". This work had already been done at this same location 8 months before. When asked for an explanation I was told that it was probably caused by water splashing on my rotors and that break pads and rotors should not need replacing this frequently. Since the shimmy was still there I wondered whether or not this location did any work on my car at all. All of this "work" took 4 1/2 hours while I waited. Fearing a scam, I took my car to another Firestone location. Without telling the second location the conclusions of the first store, I was told the rotors and break pads looked fine. The break fluid was also fine. They balanced the tires which eliminated the "shimmy" I called Firestone Customer Retention to lodge a complaint. After two attempts, the regional manager (Regman) finally returned my call. I told Regman my experience at both Firestone locations and mentioning the bad reviews that I recently read about both stores. Regman pointed out the timing of those reviews and explained that the same store manager (Strman) moved from one store to the other and was responsible for the dishonest business practices and bad reviews at both locations. Regman told me that Strman was no longer with the company. I find it very disturbing that a business allowed someone like Strman to move from one location to another continuing to scam customers. How much does Firestone really care about giving their customers quality service? What other locations are scamming their customers in the same manner? Are technicians incentivized to "up-sell" their customers whether or not the work is needed? I am a longtime customer of Firestone and have spent a lot of money with them over the decades. This experience makes me wonder how much of the other work I paid for over the years was really necessary. After this experience I will no longer do business with Firestone. read more

Took my Nissan in for a oil change and tire rotation. They did a inspection as well. I was called and told my suspension needed some work and two front tires and air filter needs replacing. My husband checked the air filter and yes it was dirty, however the suspension did not need to be replaced as critically as it was expressed to me and only one tire needs replaced. Upon the inspection by my husband we discovered "kim" FAILED to bring attention to tighten all of the lug nuts and lost a key lock in the process. I drove my child around in an unsafe vehicle due to carelessness on the Firestone stone employee. I lost 4 lug nuts while driving. This is my fifth and final time to visit. The first visit was not great and gave them another chance. This last visit on August 29th,2020 left a bad taste in my mouth, I have several colleges who will no longer visit this location.. VERY UPSET we are planing a protest cause many people have told me....Kim is super racist and aggressive towards people. read more

Brought my truck in for tire rotation, balance & alignment before a long road trip. Notified employee at check-in that my truck was pulling to the right. Picked up car yesterday and the tires were rotated, but the car is still pulling to the right, so much so my car changes lanes within about 100 yards on the highway. How can I possibly have confidence in any of the work done on my truck or any of the other 3 cars we have serviced at this Firestone location?? Had a 5:00 appointment with the GM at this location to discuss this, the time I also scheduled to drop my car off to have the tires aligned AGAIN (or for the first time), and he had left for the day. Not happy! When I brought my car in, I requested that, in addition to aligning the tires, they check all the tires for nails, check the spare and do a pre-road trip check on the car since I was preparing to road trip. I think I better have my car checked somewhere else before I drive 2000 miles with my most precious cargo on board. We have also not been pleased with the following at this Firestone location: 1. They have been without a State Inspection machine since at least May and still don't have one. So much for the one stop shopping and "Complete Auto Care." They are blaming it on the state and saying they have no control over when they get a new machine. Whether or not this is true, it is unacceptable. 2. Kept our 1993 Infiniti for days while they waited on a diagnostic machine to arrive. No communication and no follow-up from them unless we called them. We finally gave up and brought it to the Infiniti dealer, only to find out it was just a clogged fuel line. Good as new...no diagnostics needed. Just had to turn on the car and let it idle to diagnose. 3. When I pick up my truck yesterday, there was dirt all over the inside of the driver door. Fingerprints and smudges all over. Had to use Clorox wipes to wipe down that entire side of the car. Dirty and sloppy! read more

The workers at the Firestone located near Memorial Mall in Houston appear to be extremely dishonest, to the point of engaging in illegal activity. They claimed my tie-rod was seized and wanted $600 for parts. They also claimed that the alignment was so far off that I would do serious damage to my tires unless I purchased the new tie-rods immediately, which would then enable them to do the alignment. I had told them that I would be traveling out of town the next day, and so they took advantage of this fact to try and scare me into purchasing the parts. I called my mechanic, who had recently replaced a boot, and he thought the claims were suspicious. So I asked to speak with the manager, Chaz, telling him what my mechanic had said. Chaz assured me that 3 mechanics, including Maricio (Tech # 5), had all looked at my tie-rod and he was certain that it was seized and that I needed to spend the $600. Rather than giving in, I drove to my mechanic 15 minutes away, who was able to adjust the tie-rod with almost no effort. Firestone's claim that my tie-rod was seized turned out to be completely false! Furthermore, my mechanic told me that the alignment was off by so little and required so little adjusting that there would have been no wear to my tires, even after my 2000-mile road trip. It is very sad that people can be so dishonest, taking advantage of others, and that their management enables this kind of behavior. read more

I came to firestone to do business with you guy company for a long time this is one of the rudest locations I've been too came in with a tire I took off that had a piece of metal in it that just need to be plugged I've been here since 10am 7/10/2019 the manger an front desk employee have lied to several other customers an said that the werewolf busy for the rest of the day when there is only four people here an the are making phone calls to people on the counter phone just hanging around anytime someone ask something they rude an say I got it up on there quick than I told you I would am are told to wait an being brushed off as a pay customer this is very unprofessional an need to be addressed by upper management. They have taken up-selling to a new and ridiculous level. I originally wrote a good review on this location about 2 years ago. Unfortunately they must be under new management as it is now a terrible place to go for service and for the truth. About three months ago I took my car in for an oil change and a tire issue and they called me about an hour into it saying the car needed an alignment. I said fine as I did not want the tires to wear and mentioned I had an alignment a year before, they told me no it was 13 months or so. Fine. Do it. When I went to pick up the car I was in a hurry and as I was leaving I noticed everything from my glove box was on my floor. I called and spoke to Chaz who said sorry, won't happen again. I could not understand why someone had to go into my glove box but nothing was missing. Two weeks ago I take the car in as I have a slow leak in the right front tire and they tell me it will take an hour (I was first in the door that morning). I go next door for breakfast and about 55 minutes in they call me to say, "The tires are wearing wrong and you need an alignment." I point out that they did that 3 months before and I have not driven over any curbs, etc. They also recommend replacing two tires that have 20K miles on them and are fine!!! I tell the guy no and he looks and says my alignment is under warranty and they will align no charge. Tells me it will be done in 45 minutes. I go back they are done guys checks me out and as I go to get in the car someone runs over and yanks passenger door open and opens glovebox and replaces a filter they had taken out!! I assume if I had gone for any of the upsales they would have told me that a filter that can be washed needed replacing. A week after this my slow leak is back and I go back and get there at 6:30 am so that I am first. Someone shows at 6:45 and says "Hey Chief, we aren't doing any work today as all of our lifts are broken." I leave. Finally three days later I go in early on Saturday when they open at 0700. No one there. I came back twice and the second time there were two others waiting and it was 0830 and still no one there to open the store!! I came back about ten and explained the slow leak issue and that I was there 3 days before but they couldn't fix as their lifts were broken and I came back this morning and no one was there. Chaz says they will take care of it and it will take 30 to 40 minutes. I wait. I watch as someone uses a FLOOR JACK TO TAKE THE WHEEL OFF! They did not even need a lift and they sent me on my way three days before! After 40 minutes I see that the tire is back on the car and roughly ten minutes later Chaz comes in with a filter to tell me I need to replace it! AGAIN the filter from the glove box!!! THEY HAVE NO GRASP OF SIMPLY FIXING WHAT WAS NOT FIXED and letting you go on your way! I ended up being there over an hour because they HAVE TO UP-SELL Something or I assume they get fired!!! A lady came in with a likely fuse issue and instead of saying let us check it and replace it they tell her she needs an electrical diagnostic for $99. This place used to do the work and take care of you but no longer. read more

Firestone used to be great. Now they rotate staff so much there is no chance to build a relationship or trust with anyone there. They have become the John Moore of the auto industry. It's all about how much they can tack onto the original request. My son's 2005 civic (which has been very well maintained and still is) was leaking oil and we took it in for repair in Jan. We were told the valve gasket needed to be replaced. They charged us $203 and we were on our way. I put fresh cardboard under the car and noticed it continued to drip. I assumed it was residual oil, but it continued. I called Firestone, they assured me it was under warranty and agreed to check it out. The day I was bringing it in, I also noticed some coolant under the car. I took it in and told them about both issues. I don't know much, but I suspected the coolant issue was the radiator cap because it felt loose when I took it off to top it off and had fluid on it after sitting for some time. First, they told me there was a "new" oil leak. "Possibly a rear cam seal leak" which of course they only assumed. Translation, they misdiagnosed the leak the first time, but were certainly going to charge me again and certainly no refund offered on the $203. Then they told me there was a small leak at the bottom of my son's plastic tank and he needed a new radiator, new hoses etc. They gave me a quote for $1,662.35 for the following; radiator replacement $541.98, coolant fluid exchange $114.99, lubrication to remove the rear cam and replace it $185.99, radiator hoses $244.94 and ignition parts (thought they should replace my spark plugs while they were at it) for $308.95, and of course I'd need a new thermostat, just in case the one I have is faulty, which it isn't for $177.98. Thank god for the internet and the wonderful guys who take the time to post about car repairs and cost. I may be a girl and I may not know much about cars, but I know people and I know when I'm getting screwed. I took my car to a highly recommended mom and pop shop. He confirmed for certain that we had a rear cam seal leak and said that the radiator issue is nothing more than a faulty cap and that there was no leak after he left it for a few nights in his shop. He confirmed that there was no leak in the bottom of the plastic tank. If you are taking your car, here or anywhere for that matter, ask to see it on the rack. Ask them to show you what the issues are. The clincher was when Firestone told me that my parts were more expensive because my son has a special edition model. Of course! I'm sure the radiator is made of 24 carat gold in that model. Everyone knows that SE models are about aesthetics. I spend a lot of money at that place. Just bought my son a new set of tires for Christmas there etc. No more. I'm done. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

I took my car in because the check engine light was on. $2,400 took my car home and smelled gas. Turned out their work had caused a gas leak in my fuel line! I was driving around with my daughter with a gas leak! Took the car back in and I was ANGRY! 10 days later I get it back along with an attitude from the young lady that was checking me out. They had allegedly done extensive work, which I was not charged for, but lo and behold, my A/C was no longer working! Took it back and the employee that called me told me they would do me a "solid" and fix it for me free of charge. He tried to tell me the air compressor went out because I had been in a fender bender. THAT WAS NOT TRUE! When the car was in for the A/C I called to see if it was ready. Oh, it had been, FOR AN HOUR! Nobody bothered to call and tell me. Barely made it in time to pick it up before close. This was 3 months ago. Guess what!! My fuel injector, which is part of what they worked on, is now out again. NEVER AGAIN will I let that place touch my car or anyone else's if I can help it. read more

I just wanna do this review because Eric the gentleman at the front desk was so understanding especially because I know my attitude was probably not the best with the situation I was in at the time I had called there shop. I got my two back tires changed a little less than 3 wks ago from ANOTHER shop will honestly 19 days to be specific and one of the tires blew out. The shop that did the tire changes pretty much told me I was S.O.L (shit out luck), to make a long story short. So I wanted to find a tire places that was known and could provide warranty so I would not be screwed again. ERIC helped me he heard me out and gave me pricing down to the exact amount. Side note he was extremely patient like he is either married or know women well enough to know to let females talk when they are not in the best mood. Lol but when I tell u guys they closed at 7pm & I arrived at 6:50pm with my car on a tow truck to get my two back tires changed out!! The next guy I dealt with because by the time I got there Eric was gone. The other gentleman was Kim he reassured me that they would take care of me and offered me a bottle water lol luckily he didn't realize I drank two out of the fridge. Just had a great experience with this shop. I had an issue with a battery purchased here about 2 years ago and they replaced it (under the warranty) for free with no hassle or fuss. They didn't try and find another issue to blame the battery failure for, or saddle me with other issues that need attention. Shop and waiting area is clean and comfortable. Spoke with new shop manager who seems to be taking steps to reestablish customer service as a priority. read more

Takes forever. Three hours to get a state inspection on a Wednesday. Was told it would be handled in an hour or two when I arrived.

Really I give this place minus 10 stars. This place should be called the little shop of horrors. My wife took my car in for repair of a slow leak in a tire and for tire rotation. She was promised the car in about 3 hours. She received it about 7 hours later. She instructed them to patch, not plug, the leaky tire, to balance it, and to rotate all tires. They plugged the tire instead of patching it and rotated the tires. The next morning the tire was flat. I filled it with air from my compressor and took it back to this facility. After waiting about 90 minutes I was told that the tire was un-repairable and that I needed a new tire. They said that a large hole was near the sidewall of the tire and that it should not have been repaired in the first place. They showed me the tire after they took my money, allegedly changed the tire, and the car was on the ramp. The tire I was shown had a small chunk out of the tread in the middle of the tire, no damage or hole whatsoever that I could see inside the tire, and no hole or cut on or near either sidewall. This morning, guess what! The supposedly other tire on the same side of the car was dead flat. I filled it and my wife took it to another tire center. That tire had a plug patch in it that had failed. It also shows some other attempts to repair it. It has to be the tire Firestone allegedly took off my car the day before because no other tire on the car has ever had a patch or any other problem since I bought the tire about 15,000 miles ago. The other facility said that the tire could have easily been repaired if done right the first time. Bottom line: thanks to Firestone, we have two new tires we did not need or want. Was this negligence or intentional? I will just say that I was not allowed into the work area while at Firestone. The other tire service allowed my wife to watch ever step they took. read more

Terrible service/insanely overpriced. Brought my car there after it broke down on a weekend and every other place was closed. They gave me a price quote that seemed extremely high. I left the car there, and the next morning called 13 other mechanics, each with a better Yelp rating than Firestone's pathetic 2.5 stars. ALL 13 GAVE A LOWER PRICE QUOTE--even the dealership! In fact, Firestone was charging me $250 more than any other mechanic I called! While I was researching, the Firestone SALES manager called me and started trying to convince me that I needed more work done on the car--"If I fix part A, I also have to fix B, C, and D." He tells me that it's an additional $650 ON TOP of the original crazy expensive quote. Given their bad Yelp reviews, I was suspicious this was just an upselling scam, so I ask for a price/part breakdown, including the part manufacturer's brand name, and search for the parts online while I'm talking to him. Turns out they are charging up to a 300% markup on the parts they install! For example, he said it would cost me $380 for a specific part. I found the exact same part, made by the same manufacturer, for $120 new, at the website of an auto parts store, available for same-day pickup down the street from my house. So I told the Sales Manager I want to buy my own new parts, either direct from the dealership, or from a chain auto parts store. He said he would only fix my car if I bought the parts from Firestone at the 300% mark up. This is clearly a scam to force people to buy overpriced parts. There is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to buy the parts directly from Audi, Mercedes, etc. and provide them to the garage to install. Luckily for me they hadn't started working on the car, so I told him to give the car back. I took it to another well-known garage--except this place had a 4 star Yelp rating. Instead of a SALES manager, I got to speak with a an ASE Master Auto Tech. He told me straight up that Firestone was just trying to make money selling me parts, that part A needed to be replaced, but parts B, C and D were perfectly fine. He did a great job and was almost 50% cheaper than Firestone. I just completed a 1200 mile trip with no issues, and after taking it for an oil change, asked another mechanic for a second opinion. He also said Firestone didn't know what they were talking about, and they are notorious for pressuring people to make unneeded repairs to their cars so they can make extra $$ on parts/labor. Bottom line--Never, ever go to Firestone. read more

Brought two new tires typically go to discount tires and one week later the tire pops without any case other than it's a firestone. Completely rude staff! Arrived there right at 7am when they open the manager said it would take about 30 minute to change out and of course charge me a probated amount because that's what they do and it took 1:30 because the boys that clocked in at 7am had to eat breakfast on the clock and do a little water cooler talk!! I was pretty shocked at the customer service. I went here about 30 min before close. I had a last minute flat that I aired up and thankfully made it to the auto shop. Knowing that it was the end of the day I asked if they could take a look at my tire; if it was a quick fix or if not, if they could just put the spare on for me so I could bring it back the next day when there was time. After taking a look they told me that there was wall damage to my tire (which was surprising bc I saw the small object stuck in my tire, located on the tread not the wall) didn't explain more than that then immediately gave me prices for a new tire which I thought was strange. I didn't want to rush into making a choice on a tire so I asked if they could put a spare on so I could bring it back the next day. The guy told me they had other cars to work on so it would be a while. He seemed irritated at my request so I told him I would just call someone to come help me. After I left the next day I brought my car to discount and within a few hours they fixed the tire. I called discount and asked if I still needed a new tire explaining what I was told at firestone. Apparently I did not have wall damage nor did I need a new tire, it was a simple fix. Not only was I brushed off at firestone, I was being ripped off and taken advantage of by being lead into buying an unnecessary new tire. All bc it was the end of the day and I looked like I could be persuaded into buying something. Shame. read more

Never returning! What was the point in me making an appointment if I'm still going to have to wait nearly 2 hours for a fucking oil change?! Bullshitters. It wasn't even busy. It's a fucking Monday afternoon and literally one other person was in the building waiting with me. So why?! Then he calls me up and says "okay your car is ready but..." Then proceeds to feed me some bullshit to get me to spend more money. After I listen to him go on about shit I don't give a fuck about I let him know I'm not interested and just want the oil change. He then says "ok well go have a seat" what do you mean have a seat? You started the conversation off with my car is ready! So here I am waiting another fucking hour on top of the hour I already waited all because I declined extra services. I talked to them to get new tires on 2 cars and alignment which would total around $1,400. My wife's car was ready by 1pm then they just didn't work on my car for the next 180 minutes so I picked it up and will go somewhere else. Not apologetic at all just kinda tried to say we can have it done within the next hour. People work their schedules around this stuff and have jobs and kids they need to tend to not wait around to not have their car dealt with. So they only got $700 of the $1,400. I've been here a few times, more because it was convenient than anything. Usually my experience is an OK experience, but my most recent one was absolutely horrible. I came in to have my oil changed and get my brakes pads replaced, instead of dealing with one of the "customer service" guys that actually sits up front, I had to deal with the mechanics. The first mechanic made it seem like if I didn't spend the outrageous amount of money to fix my entire braking system, he wasn't going to allow me to "drive my car away" and it would have to be towed. After speaking with the Shop Manager and explaining that my Brake System was not in total failure, due to the fact that I had just driven my car from Baytown to his shop without any problems other than the noise that is made when you need new pads, he offered to take a look and call before he did anything. He did call but as I stated before was trying to charge an outrageous amount to fix a simple problem. With my total going to be in the $400 - $500 range for an oil change and a front repair of pads and rotors on my Honda, I decided to find someone else to do it and they got it done at half the price. These guys are way overpriced and try to get over on the unknowing customer!!! BEWARE!!!!!! read more

I recently had a complete brake job and oil change completed at Firestone. The associate Ruben was very helpful and had great knowledge of his job. I was able to bring my car in, have my car repaired, all while not missing any time at work. Due to their excellent driver Mario whom was able to bring me back to work.
