Friday afternoon, 1 person in waiting area, 3 open bays Approached desk and before anything else asked, "How long would it take for oil change & tire rotation?" 30-45mins. Perfect let's do it! 3hrs later! The truck is still on the lift, the tech working on my truck has now driven in another truck and doing an oil change completely forgetting where he started. I have now missed and had to reschedule a parent teacher conference with my son, his teacher, my wife and myself This location has ZERO sense of urgency, all technicians in the bay move at a snails pace. Management an ownership should be embarrassed and needs a thorough review of day to day operations! 3+ hrs for something that takes 30-45mins TOPS is unacceptable and ridiculous! Booked an online appointments for State Inspection. When I went to the store I was informed that appointments are not valid but they will get the inspection done and it will take 2 hours or sooner. Why offer online appointments if it's not needed? The checkin process was easy and I stepped out to get some work done. Came back an hour later to find my vehicle still in the parking lot. I waited another hour for an inspection that took less than 10 mins. It dint seem very busy but they prioritize other services where billing is of higher value. I bought a battery from this Firestone location last year that came with a replacement warranty. My car recently wouldn't start so I called my insurance carrier for roadside assistance. Two roadside assistance agents told me the battery was just about dead when they tried to jump the car - one of whom couldn't start it but the other did. When I arrived for replacement, Firestone assured me the battery was fine. I took it to the dealership on another issue and they confirmed the battery was dead so I just got done paying another $300+ for what should have been replaced free of charge. Had an appointment for an alignment and stopped in. The technician apparently didn't want to work on the car as he said he wasn't able to do the alignment due to faulty suspension parts. I went to another Firestone that had no issue getting the alignment done. If you offer a lifetime warranty on the alignments, why do you turn your customers away when they come to get the alignment done? Definitely a problem with this location. Very disappointed in the rude and unprofessional service my daughter has received at this location. Many of the reviews over the past 4 months seem to back up what I'm about to say. This location clearly has a leadership issue and seems unwilling to fix it due to workload and/or general apathy. First, I've been a loyal Firestone customer for 15+ years. I asked my daughter to take our CRV to the Firestone on 7550 MacArthur in Irving to diagnose an unknown noise. She tried to make an appointment on Friday and was told, "we don't take diagnosing appointments" and to come back the following Monday and, "we'll get you right in". She showed up Monday (per their instructions) and one particular front desk person was an obnoxious with no zero desire to help her out since he couldn't understand the description of an unknown noise. I told her to leave and found another place for her to go (Hondew, highly recommended) where they quickly diagnosed the problem and made an appointment for us. This is the 2nd or 3rd time we have had an issue at this location as we have had the same issue scheduling oil changes here. I'll admit to making the mistake of not looking at the customer reviews for this location before going there. The reviews for 7550 MacArthur are significantly lower than any of other Firestones I've done business with. After my email to socialcare@bfrc.com, a sales manager, unfamiliar with the full story, called yesterday to see if we were still interested in coming in, and while I appreciate the follow-up, we will happily go elsewhere who treats their customers respectfully. Realize, bringing these issues up is futile. I drive a fleet vehicle and I had a flat. I had already put on the donut spare and the closest place was this Firestone Repair shop. I only needed a tire repaired . After four hours of waiting they did not ask me any questions and the car had 4 new tires, anew air and cabin filter, and a new serpentine belt. My take is that they take advantage of at least fleet vehicles. I for sure would not take my personal vehicle here . Because I didn't leave until dark I found out that I had a head light out and when I stopped at Auto Zone to get a new headlight I found a serpentine belt sitting on top of my engine. When I parked I saw someone sitting down on their phone thinking it was a customer. As soon as I came to the door they went to the desk and I realized it was an employee. They were empty with no cars and I asked if I could get an oil change that I just called about not even an hour ago. They asked if I'm leaving it over night and I said no I'm not leaving it and could I get it back after they're done. He claimed they couldn't do it now and I'd have to leave my car. They close at 7pm and I came 6:26. Oil changes don't take that long....with how he was sitting on his phone with nothing to do they could have done it and gave me my car back the same night. I came with plenty enough time before they close for a simple basic oil change. But I guess they'd rather be on their phone for the last 36 minutes than work. I dropped my truck off at 10AM this morning to have my headlight replaced (one was out), check my engine (light was on), my oil changed & my windshield wiper replaced (one was broken). They finished at 5:30PM. $90 for an oil change is ridiculous. But when you look at the inspection of windshield wipers compared to the headlight I am baffled. First $84 simply to "check" the passenger wiper which I had already told them was broken. They didn't even fix it & I paid $84 for them to check it when I already informed them it was broken?? I was installing a license plate on my front bumper and my holes were too little. I pulled in front of the bay and asked a technician could he drill 4 holes bigger. It would have taken 30 seconds. He told me that he needed a ticket for that. I told him that I can do it myself but my drill bit is too small. He replied, "I don't loan out my tools." I said "Forget it." He walked off and said aloud, "Buy the right tools." I left and went to a nearby auto shop which installed it without a ticket and it took one minute. People were friendly but that's about it. Came in because my vehical was having steering issues I spent well over 1200+ on repairs due to my car kicking in to power steering while driving. Robert was who I went through at that time he was a great help, but 2 days after repairs my car started acting up again with power steering. Robert asked me to bring it back. When I contacted this location to set a date to bring my vehical in, I was notified there was a new store manager, he said to bring it in. After I got off work i brought my car in and guessing because I wasn't giving them more money for something that should have been repaired, I was last on their priority list it took them literally 4 hrs to "look" at my car and say there is a small leak in my steering module. (Of course) more money after having everything for steering repaired on my car, smh dissapointed in this establishing for not fixing the issue and I'm left driving a death trap. 1200 for what?! 4/19/18 I just wanted to share my good experience at this Firestone Location. My mother's 2007 Civic was not blowing cold air in the summer. She took it in to Christian Brothers down the street. They gave her a $1,400 repair estimate. I have had good experience with Managers Deon and John in the past. I called them up and asked if I could drop off the Civic for an AC Repair. They called me back later and said that all that was needed was to top off the AC Freon. Wow, what a savings. I will skip the dealer and always come back to Firestone. They are busy, but they do a good job. Thanks Guys........ I had great service today with my Service Advisor Ricky. My truck's oil change and alignment were done ahead of time. He did let me know that I did need a set of tires. I told him that I would comparison shop at Costco. He told to come back with a price and he would price match. Went here for a state inspection and waited well over an hour when I was told it would be done within the hour. They told me my car failed inspection due to "secondary rubber" on one tire, however, I just got these tires last year. I overheard them tell two customers ahead of me that they also failed for tire issues. Sounds suspicious that a tire store is telling everyone they need new tires. I came here to get a state inspection which cost $25.50. I came from out of state so this was good to know before I came when I called. You can't make an appointment so when I came in he said the wait would be and hour and a half. I had to get this done being it was the last day before my registration expired. I believe my car was done in an hour but chatty customers asking a lot of questions and people coming in held up the one man working the front to notify me. I had to wait another 30 mins to get my car. I actually got in the line because I thought I wouldn't ever get the keys to my car with this going on and I still had to go to the DMV to register my car. Overall it was not a bad experience. I got to sit in a comfy seat and watch a little tv until time passed. The two reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars is because when I got my keys I didn't know where my car was and I was looking around lost until I saw it was on the left side of the building. Also, it would've been nice to see the employee handle the customers that has been seated waiting on their cars get out faster than handling the ones coming in through the door. Multi-tasking would be nice or another employee coming to help him out so it wouldn't be all on him. read more

This is the only Firestone I have ever been to, but based upon my experiences here, I will never use Firestone again. I bought a battery from this location three years ago. I bought their top of the line, 5 year battery with a 3 year free replacement guarantee. It failed two years later, in 2016. I took it back and they replaced it free. It was good to get a free battery, but a 5 year battery should not fail in two years. Now a week ago, this battery failed. I had it only one year and a month. I was stranded and had to call a wrecker to come jump me ($75.00). I got the car started and headed to Firestone. On the way, I called to see how late they were open. The manager said they closed at 7:00. It was 5 minutes to 7:00 and I was about ten minutes away. I asked him if he could stay open until I get there so they could replace the battery that night. He said no, he was closing at 7:00. I explained my battery was only a year old and I needed a replacement made. I begged him to stay open just a few extra minutes until I could get there. He was rude and said no, he was closing at 7:00. He said I could bring it in the next morning. I told him if I did that, I would have to pay for it to be jumped in the morning. He said too bad, he was closing at 7:00. This is terrible customer service. I know the store closes at 7:00, but for a customer that has a bad battery only a year old, he could have remained open a few minutes later. I know he and the employees want to leave on time, but does the customer not matter anymore? If I had a loyal customer that needed my help and I could remain open a few minutes longer to help them, that would cement a customer's loyalty for life. Instead, Firestone chose to lose a customer for life. I will never use Firestone again. read more

#Firestone damaged my car! I took my car in for tire service and left w a crack to my front windshield while in their care. They refused to accept liability, instead questioning me as to how this would occur during tire service. -The supervisor on duty (Chris) didn't address me until I became audibly upset. -The mechanic told me the windshield was cracked -The supervisor walked me to his office and assured me they would make this right and repair this through Life Light Winshield repair but would need to go through their process. This meant meeting with store manager, Kevin L McClearen. -Kevin glanced at the windshield and informed me that this didn't happen during tire service. He asked how I thought that occurred during tire service? He then told me there was nothing he could do with this. "You need to take this up with Regional, I believe you have 'Tim's' number." That was it. He offered me nothing more. I tried to file a police report but learned that if no crime was committed, the police is unable to file a report. I personally believe it's a crime to damage property. I entrusted my car to #Firestone, paid $900 for tires service only to walk away with ~$1000 windshield damage. No one at the #Firestone on: 7550 N MacArthur Blvd Irving, TX 75063 will accept liability. Shame on you for such negligence and disregard for your customers! read more

Firestone Complete Auto Care is a full service auto car facility that sells quality Firestone/Bridgestone tires. They also sell a number of auto services (oil change, etc.) My Overall Rating - 1 1/2 Stars (Atmosphere, Facility, Return) Atmosphere - Like most Auto care places, it's more of a garage than show room. Expect an area for tires, check in/out, and a waiting area. It won't be super plush like you're typical high end dealer. Expect the typical smell of a garage. But it is VERY CLEAN facility, which is important. 1/2 Star. Service - Every time I go here there's something new wrong with my car resulting in an upsell. I took my car in recently to get the oil changed. Upon doing so, they found a nail in the rear tire, which couldn't be patched but replaced. I bought my tires there with hazard warranty so it was an additional $40 to fix. But they also said the front tires were worn do 60% tread and recommended rotating. I didn't have time but decided to bring it back the next day. So the next day I requested the tires rotated (free when you buy their tires with warranty). This time they said the front two were worn down to about 20% and need to be replaced. When I told them I was in there the day before and it wasn't mentioned, they said they had to take the tire off and saw more damage. The upsell began again. I chose to leave and will rotate the tires elsewhere. I figured since my service was free, they wanted to find a reason to charge me more. No Stars. Facility - There are a few chairs and a small TV. Firestone provides free coffee, water, and Wi-Fi. The water is a nice option. Wi-Fi was flakey but you can also use Schlotzski's as well. The seats are metal and are not comfortable. No couches here, these seats are made to minimize wear & tear, not maximize comfort. But water & Wi-Fi are bonus. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Only to buy tires or use my lifetime services. I will not be going back for any routine services due to the constant upsells. Now, they carry great tires and offer decent warranties and lifetime services (rotation/alignment). I just feel those services are only meant to give them a reason to upsell you more. 1/2 Star. My Yelp Rating Scale (Sum of all parts): 1 Star - Atmosphere - Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 2 Stars - Service - You can have a great car with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the experience that service is great and on point. 1 Star - Facility - I'll award 1 stars for the facility, since this is one reason we go out. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except service (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. Never coming back here. Ever. I came in for an oil change, and walked out with a laundry list of repairs, with no visual proof that any of them were necessary. Three weeks later, the entire passenger side of my car flooded during a two-day rainstorm. As this shop was the last one under the hood, I brought my car back in. They said that the air conditioning duct was blocked, which they unblocked (free of charge), but they gave me a list of even more repairs, again with no visual proof that any of them were necessary. It rained twice in the following week, and both times the passenger side flooded. I brought my car to my regular shop for a second opinion. Only one of the several repairs was necessary, and I was shown what was wrong (and not wrong) with my car. The cracked belt? Not cracked at all. The rear axle seal? Only one needs to be replaced, not two, and it doesn't need to be done NOW like I was was warned. And the flooding? Not due to a blocked A/C duct. read more

MOST HONEST PLACE IN TOWN (and I'm female!!) Every time I come to this location, and this location only (I've been to about 5 different locations), they are honest - if to a fault. When I go in to have work done, I will say to go ahead and give me an oil change, new air filter, or insert general maintenance item here, "if I need it." Nine times out of ten, I'm told I don't need it. This is the complete opposite of any other shop I've ever been to where they are always saying I need these things and I could have bought and air filter the day before, and still I'm shown a "dirty" air filter (obviously not MY filter [and this is just an example, mind you]) and told I need a new one. Their prices are average to kind of high, but there are always coupons online. They've worked with me in the past when my money is tight to get the cost of repairs down to a minimum. They are friendly and I never have to wait to be seen, unlike NTB in Valley Ranch who lie to get their customers in the door, you're rarely greeted right off the bat, then lie again about cost and wait time (see my NTB review for details). ALL staff members are super friendly. When I say they're honest to a fault, my Infiniti didn't pass inspection because one of my tires were too worn. They were right - it was and I wasn't even aware. They didn't try to upsale me on tires at all. They gave me the bill for the inspection and sent me on my way. I bought 2 new tires at NTB (only because I had available credit on that credit card) - big mistake (again, see my NTB review). But my reinspection passed and now I'm saving to buy two more tires at Firestone. I've never dealt with honest mechanics before dealing with this location. As usual this is one of those service centers that will give you a laundry list of things that are wrong with your car. I'd gone in for the 40k service on my Honda accord and to get the state inspection done on it. Service was fast but ofcourse they scared me by telling me that if I didn't change my batteries my car was going to shutdown any minute (that was 2 months back) and that the cabin filter had to be replaced NOW and one my tires needed replacing. Questioning them more about the tires, he told me they were good for another 5000 miles! So nothing new there - your run of the mill service center. read more

I could have easily given five star to firestone at this location but this one guy at this place I believe his name was Patrick (the oldest person at macarthur firestone location) He was quite rude to me for no reason ! I felt pretty difficult explaining my car problems to him as every time i was fearing some kind of cold or rude response..
