I've been coming to this Kwik Kar for years and am so deeply saddened by the new ownership and their way of doing business. They decided to hike up the prices and unfortunately it has pushed our family out from using them as our local car people. I have been going to these guys for nearly two decades so I can definitely say that this was not by my choice. The pricing to replace spark plugs was over $150 more than a different Kwik Kar location. When you consider that we have two cars that need the same thing, that's over $300. How could we possibly not go to the other guy? Needless to say I am so so glad they decided to retain the employees and secure their jobs but the price hike was just too much for our family. I hope they can compromise on this and keep some of us locals around for their business. read more

Yet another super efficient visit at this location for State inspection. Was in and out in under 8 minutes, which has been my exp for 2 consecutive years. Have always had to wait at other places inspite of an appointment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They don't push or upsell. Great value for money and good service. As 20 year customers, we can no longer recommend this establishment. We took my mother's 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix to get fluids put into the car, she's 89 years old. On the way home the car overheated and we barely got it back to Kwik Kar. The mechanic said an elbow connected to one of the fluids broke and it was probably going to happen sooner or later. He found the problem within one minute. Literally after he was working on that same part. It was snapped in half clean, it didn't rupture and my husband did not hear any noise when it happened. He just noticed the car overheat. They wanted $1000 to fix it. We called a tow truck and sent it to our own mechanic and he fixed it for $500. Seriously, do not trust these guys. They are under new ownership and they are scamming people. Hard to prove but come on, this car was running perfectly fine, there was nothing leaking at all. I don't trust them and I've been going to them for 20 years. It's sad that they have turned to this kind of behavior and Greed. read more

After 20+ years of going to this Kwik Kar, oil changes for close to 10 cars, I sent my 25 year old daughter to get her oil changed and she came back asking if it typically $165 for an oil change. Long story short, they upcharged her for a $40 service and never communicated clearly to her that it was an upcharge. I initially called and talked to Alex who sounded eager to make it right and promised to call me back. Alex never called me back and when I eventually followed up several days later Alex was defensive and said they wouldn't do an upcharge without asking and told me tough luck. I am completely done here. I'm sad for the former owners who were such amazing people and business owners. read more

These mechanics are great. They always help me out and are reasonably priced. If they are busy when I pull up, we make an appointment and I've never had to wait long. I walk around the shopping center, or hang out in the lobby (pre-covid), and they call me when the car is ready. They also vac the inside floorboards, which I appreciate. read more

I give this place a 4 star rating only because the inside is functional but not really a modern decor and the TV was on some annoying channel when I visited. If it wasn't nasty weather outside I would have waited there or taken a walk to a nearby store. Now to the important bit. The experience was one that included personal communication and quick service. The place was reasonably busy and my wait time was as expected for this type of establishment. I'm blown away by the the honesty and efficiency of this shop. I had a vehicle that broke down in a parking lot. Charles was able to diagnose the issue over the phone gave me instructions where to leave my vehicle, as I was dropping it off after hours on Saturday (closed Sunday). Decided to give them one more chance after a few years back my Jeep had the death wobble. The Mechanic told me what was wrong and $500+ later I end up at the Jeep dealership for them to tell me that In no way shape or form was that what needed to be repaired. Came up tonight for an inspection, they did it came in said nothing to report when asked how it did. Went out they let me in the car only to get to Tom Thumb to get my new sticker and I look at the paper and it failed.. no one discussed what was wrong or what needed to be fixed. At first I was a little hesitant, because they are more than 15 miles away from where I live but I'm glad I took the time! What a great business; owned by a very nice couple, very clean shop, employing courteous, experienced and knowledgeable personnel. I've relied on Kwik Kar to take care of my car for awhile. Here's a tip. Talk to the guys and get to know them and they'll totally shoot straight with you. Whatever they're telling you that you need here, it's good advice. I've had them change my brake pads, oil changes, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, etc. They have a wide range of service so if you need something, ask them. Their prices are pretty fair when you compare them to any other shop. Because of their location and their great reviews, they are sometimes busy, (80 vehicles in and out a day with a crew of 10 guys) but even so they don't make you wait long if you have to wait at all. They're professional and thorough. I'm moving to Richardson in a couple of months and still plan to come here for my regular vehicle maintenance. read more

FINALLY! A Kwik Kar worthy of a shining star! After three miserable experiences at Kwik Kar franchises in the Lewisville area, it was refreshing to realize that there are still some good lube joints that focus on quality and integrity in providing service to their clients. Had an inspection, oil change and brake flush here and was out the door in no time with no upsell. Technicians were also professional and there was no indication of peddling unwanted/unneeded services to other customers in the waiting area. I believe the owners are a Turkish family so also good to see an immigrant-run business thriving in the community and setting an example for others to follow. The only negative (which really is no reflection on the business itself) is that its a bit hard to find due to the signage restrictions in Coppell. WELL DONE! read more

Not only did they pump up the air but they also checked and topped up my fluids - free of charge. That is customer service, that is community care. I live in Dallas proper, but will be a returning customer from here on out. The 50+ minute drive is more than worth it. I took my car in yesterday for an oil change after NTB had told me they couldn't do anything because the car "sounded rough" and check-engine light was on. On to Kwik Kar I went, specifically this location. My day went from bad to worse after it was discovered there was a bullet-sized hole in the oil pan. The guys took me down and showed me what to do. Needless to say, I was stressed as heck. The guys were SO kind and helpful, even offering advice on what to do. As if that wasn't the best part, they changed the oil for free and gave me a 1-gallon jug of oil just to make sure I made it home okay. I can't say enough about how wonderful an experience this was. It helped me de-stress and put my faith back in humanity. I wish I had remembered the guys' names who helped me out. I hope they read this. I DO not recommend this place. I tried it twice. First time, they did not replace the windshield sticker. Not a big deal. What took the cake is putting regular oil in my BMW. The sticker on the engine plainly says Synthetic Only. They did show me my dirty air filter and all the other high dollar stuff they can easily replace so I know they saw it. I was offered $10 off by the lame tech to replace it with the correct oil a week later. $120 for an oil change ?? A new Engine is maybe $6000. Walmart does better than this folks. Beware! read more

This location will overcharge you however they can - just don't even bother going. I have always gone to the Kwik Kar Vista Ridge location, but went here because my mom had a 15% off coupon she wanted me to use. They still managed to charge me $70 over what I paid for the same services (inspection and oil change) at the Vista Ridge location, even with the discount. They were also trying to push various extra services on me, when I was sure I didn't need these things (said my brake pads needed to be replaced) This was a year ago, and I remember thinking at the time that prices seemed high, but I just got the same thing done recently and realized that my suspicion was correct. The Vista Ridge location also confirmed that a year after I was told my brakes needed servicing, that they weren't in need of service. Liars, poor services, overpriced. Avoid!!!! read more

So okay I haven't been here in at least a year because I had moved but I'm back and remembered how good I thought they were. Maybe management has changed but this time they tried to sell me a brake flush, an air filter, a cabin filter even though I had a brand new one sitting in the front seat (and no they didn't offer to install it even though they had the old one out), and a fuel injector cleaning. Seriously good customer service is almost nonexistent these days. So frustrating- not sure I'll be back I'd rather drive to the one in Carrollton I've been going to. So disappointing. read more

Went in for a oil change I requested mobile one 5w-30. They went ahead and put 0w-20 without asking. After checking mobile ones website and seeing that that oil is not suppose to go in my car I asked them to drain it and put the correct oil in. They pretended to drain it then the guy grabbed a almost empty 5w-30 container and pretended to add the correct oil. The oil change was $78 and now my car is all kinds of messed up. I will be having a tv station in the dallas area doing a story on them and a suite has been filed. It all could have been avoided if they just did what I asked and what the manufacturer recommend. I hate writing negative reviewers but they need to be held accountable. read more

I had taken my truck to a different Kwik Kar for an oil change previously, then to another shop nearby for the change yesterday. There was an issue with the drain plug caused by the first Kwik Kar, and even though it was done by a different shop (separately owned, so there was no obligation here), these guys went out of their way to make it right for me and to complete the oil change without charge to compensate me for the hassle. They broke my ac while trying to fix why my heat wouldn't work. Told me I might as well pay to get the whole thing fixed since my heat didn't work anyway,and that it was winter so I didnt need my ac anyway. Had an attitude when I asked to have car returned to me just as I brought it in. They used have such great customer service, but it seems the last few times I've gone they kept getting worse. Unfortunately I won't be going back or referring anyone else because they treated me like crap this last time. No apology. Manager on duty was Thomas Salinas.
