Absolute garbage company, with garbage practices. Booked through their online portal for tire change - I needed it right away and their website said they had availability 2 days in the future on Nov 6th - Perfect amount of time for my tires to be delivered in time so I ordered my tires from TireRack and had them shipped, set to arrive by Nov 6th They message me the next day (the 5th) to tell me my appointment has been rescheduled for November 17... I call and their rude manager makes me feel like I am the idiot because I didn't know those were only "appointment requests" and not actual appointments. He refuses to help in any way or show any concern about my situation that has been caused by his company. I needed tires installed immediately as my car is undriveable - that's why I booked with them - they had availability! Who has an online booking system for appointments that are actually only "requests"? And even if that is the case, who treats their customers like this when something like this happens? Suffice to say, Pete "the manager" did nothing to make the situation better and his smug attitude and refusal to do anything to help only served to increase my frustration and anger at the situation. This company screwed me over so bad, now my tires are being shipped to a business that I don't want to do business with. The entire situation is a nightmare now and on top of it I still don't have any idea when I will be able to get my new tires installed. The tires we bought were the alternative to the OEM size, since the OEM were not available any longer. The specs said they would fit. They refused to put the tires on. *long review warning should've known when i called that i shouldn't have gone in! first i called because my check engine light came on my chevy cruze & a notification came on my dash saying that AC is off due to high temp & that i was wondering if they had time to squeeze me in today just to find out for sure what it is because i don't want it to catch on fire. Dustin said it wont catch on fire that's ridiculous (have had a car start smoking from over heating in the past but ridiculous) & said they do have time but it'll probably take a few hours so just come sooner than later so i ignored his comment & did so. once i arrived he said it's probably a water gasket or something else because he's apparently owned 4 chevy cruzes's & it's never been just the thermostat gasket (as the scan said) & it'll be hours to diagnose. i was immediately impressed he's owned 4 of my exact cars & was so knowledgeable. i asked him about my extended warranty & if fire stone accepts it & he said that he would've needed the warranty info "days in advanced" & needed the info in person which, shockingly, i brought with me as if i expected the info would be needed! he was able to search the accepted companies & show me that mine did not pop up in their system (the one decent ish thing he did). i mentioned i kinda expected it to be the thermostat gasket & his reply was "is that what google told you?" again, no, that's what a free scan told me already. plot twist: it ended up being the thermostat gasket which cost $112 to diagnose! i ended up calling an uber & cancelling it after waiting 30 minutes because it didn't take hours to diagnose as he had expected. prior to calling it i had asked if they already took my car (because by that point i decided i didn't want to give them any business whatsoever because he was so rude to me) & he said that it was already up (so can't really take my car & leave now). he also told me that i've "never rotated my tires" to which i replied i have (i have had this done *multiple* times at the dealership since getting these tires a year or two ago) & this was like the craziest thing he had heard all day! at one point he went in the garage & i mentioned to the other customer in the waiting room with me that he was acting extremely rude, to which this man agreed & mentioned he's always dealt with another guy who is apparently great & this guy he's never seen before. acting like this as the new guy? he must be working for fun & certainly has all his bills paid! not sure if he was this way because i'm a female & slightly younger than him or if he treats everyone this way. i would honestly rather set myself on fire inside my car than deal with dustin again. i will never go back to firestone in the future because of how demeaning & audacious he was. i paid & left as soon as i could with absolutely zero possibility of returning again. read more

Quality of repair = F Customer Service / Complaint Department = F We visited this firestone for a flat repair while traveling through the Janesville, WI area. The tire was replaced with a new tire within a few hours. In less than two hours, the new tire blew out, resulting in a roadside assistance call, several hours of waiting for assistance, and ultimately a hotel until a business opened that could fix it the next morning. There were no Firestone dealers in the area, so we took the Vehicle to a competitor that was open on Sunday. They were able to repair the tire. The cause of the new tire's flat is documented on the repair receipt as a loose valve. The repair technician stated to me that the Firestone technician did not correctly secure the valve when they installed the new tire. There was also a lug nut stud with stripped threads, we suspect that was caused the tire installation at Firestone. I called this store and asked to speak with the manager. They stated that the manager would call me back the next morning. (He never did). I completed an online survey and was told someone would contact me within 48 hours (they never did). I called the 800 number to file a complaint and was told I could not file additional complaints and that someone would contact me that day....no one ever did. No one I talked to would allow me to show them the documentation of why I believe the technician failed to safely and correctly install the tire. Everyone I talked to was friendly, just not helpful. I took the vehicle to a local Firestone in Minnesota, and they fixed the lug nut stud as a gesture of good will. They were unable to help with the financial impacts associated with towing/hotel/additional repair/time lost. But they did seem to care. The BBB gives Firestone Complete Auto Care in Janesville, WI an F rating, and I can now see why. The staff at Firestone Janesville commented on how the great the movies playing in the lobby were both when I dropped the car off and again when I picked it up. If I had to guess, I would say they are more interested in that than delivering high quality work. My rational for choosing this business was that I needed urgent repair and I had bought my tires a year ago at a Minnesota Firestone with a warranty. In the end, it would have been better to have driven a few more miles and paid more for a new tire and better service. But I had no way of knowing that at the time. Scheduled an alignment for exactly the day and time I needed. Staff on the phone was courteous and responsive. While waiting for my alignment I observed the staff interacting with several other patrons. It is awesome to see employees treating patrons with empathy and respect. We broke down in Janesville WI halfway to MN and no one in town had a caliper in stock. To make matters worse it was a holiday weekend and everyone was eager to close. Dale personally drove to the next city over to get our caliper! They installed the caliper and pads and rotors upfront to get us rolling in the nick of time. Horrible service! Rude staff! I had a pre-scheduled appointment and even gotten an email confirmation. But when I showed up for my appointment was told that they couldnt fit me in for almost 2hours and that if you schedule an appointment online, they can't guarantee to get you in. Funny, but nothing when I scheduled or in the confirmation said it wasnt guaranteed or to call the location to check. They also had my phone number and could have at least called to let me know of the delay. But no, obviously they think my time isnt valuable and I have nothing better to do but sit for hours in their dirty waiting area. I don't live in town so I made the 20-mile drive in for nothing! And then the guy was a complete jerk about it, offering no apology or anything. That's what really took the cake. Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize this or any Firestone again. I lived in Janesville for 18 years, and I was a regular at the Firestone auto care shop. I never had a problem getting an oil change, and if I had an emergency car problem, Dale always did his best to carve out a few minutes somewhere to make sure I was taken care of. In fact, I came to him once a day before leaving on a long-distance camping trip, pulling a travel trailer with my truck, and he took care of me so we could go knowing all was running right. I still work in Janesville, and I still get my oil changes here. If I have a problem with my vehicle, I take it to Dale and, if he doesn't think he can help me, he tells me up front. He doesn't have the guys root around under the hood for an hour to collect service charges. I appreciate that honesty, and being able to go into a place where they know my name when I walk in the door. read more

The employee walked away from him and the supervisor followed him cursing, yelling and berating him in front of customers. Waiting area was busy but overall clean and had a good selection of magazines and places to sit (a/c was great for the heat outside). Repair took about 35-40 minutes and was a good price. My spouse recently passed away and the staff was sincere when they expressed their condolences. I trusted Dale when her recommended new front tires during my last service visit. I depend on my vehicle to commute 80 miles a day, so I appreciated this honest assessment. It is reassuring to know you will be treated like family when going to Firestone for your motor vehicle needs. they could not figure out the front suspension noise on my wife's car , first they said it was a tie-rod-end , so my wife said replace it , so they put it in, then they took it for a ride , and came back and said that the noise was still there , so then they told her it needs some kind of left and right suspension arms , so she said go ahead and put them in , again they then took it for aother ride , and came back and said it is still making the noise , so they asked my wife to come down in the pit in the floor and the mechanic showed her how he could make the noise happen by moving the rack & pinion steering gear assembly around , and asked her if they should go ahead and replace it , she said she could not afford to replace it at this time , and would have to wait awhile. I went there a long time ago, had a bad experience due to rude staff and vowed never to return. Well recently my windshield wipers quit working and a family member convinced me to try them one more time. I first spoke to someone who was very helpful and told me to bring it in early on a Tuesday so that they'll have plenty of time to inspect and inform me of the problem including an estimate. He said drop it off at 9 am and someone will call you shortly after. He also added that dropping it off early will provide plenty of time for them to get any parts needed from Fagan. I'll add that I work nights so waking up early can be difficult but Tuesday came and I dropped it off at that time. At the store I was told they would call me soon with an estimate. I had a family member pick me up and I slept till 130 pm waking up to find no one had called as of yet. I quickly realized why I quit going there as when I called I spoke with Dale. I asked nicely if there was any information regarding the estimate yet and he responded very defensively that no one has even looked at the car because they were "swamped". I informed him originally I was told my car would be looked at and I'd at least get an estimate. He responded by saying no inr should have told me that. quickly dawned on me that the reason I quit going to Firestone so long ago was due to a similar issue with Dale in the past. Originally I was told my car going in that early would leave plenty of time to get everything done. Dale angrily told me that nothing could be done due to it being busy even though I had an appointment at 9 am. He advised that I leave my car there so hopefully it could be looked at later. I told Dale I would pick up my car and he just told me to bring it in on another day. That will be the last day I bring anything there and my family said the same. Very unprofessional staff there that desperately need to work on customer service. They should also learn that if they have a "swamped" day then they shouldn't waste people's time bringing in their vehicles when they know they won't be working on them. Also if a mistake does happen they should own up to it instead giving excuses that quite frankly a customer shouldn't care about. I've heard they do quality work but again I wouldn't know as this same experience has happened to me twice now. Jarrid and Andy both seemed professional surely this was not their fault. I also understand shops getting busy but I should've been told about that so I didn't waste my whole day. Also they should keep Dale in the garage away from customers as he is rude and unprofessional. I've heard others say the same. I would rather buy a new car than get one repaired there. This has got to be THE worst place to go to get any help with your tires! They literally take advantage of you, especially if your a girl and a young college student at that! They charged my daughter a fee to look at the tires even though she has a warranty with Firestone! OUTRAGEOUS!! They seen a young college student who didnt know anything about vehicles and charged her to look at the tire that was under warrany!!! ALSO they lied to her and told her that driving this vehicle was dangerous an that it would be an outrageous amount of money to fix it. They scared her to death that her vehicel was UNSAFE.
