Had went to Firestone in Firestone to get some a/c service. Unfortunately their machine broke in the process of recharging my a/c. Stu from the Firestone location called over to the Longmont location and just so happen the tech was almost walking out of the door. Angela was able to hold him for me in order to get the service completed. Arrived and it was towards the end of the day and she was just as friendly and helpful as I imagine at the start of the day. Got me right in charged up and back on the road in no time. Great customer service. read more

I have a lifetime alignment and went in the Longmont, co Firestone. My front end was a mess. They accurately diagnose the extensive damage, gave a very fair quote and gave me great advice on driving it until i got it to repair. No hysteria, just good information. I took it to my mechanic. Save your money & time. They have little to no desire to help you. I have always had great service & experiences getting new tires & installation at the Firestone in Phoenix, where I lived prior to Longmont. When I first moved here, I stopped in to get my tires filled & was told they were too busy. Now, I'm not unreasonable, & I understand that places get busy, but it was kind of the attitude I was given about it that didn't sit right with me. But, whatever, everyone has an off day. Six months later, I need new tires. One of them caught a nail & has a slow leak, so I need a replacement right away, so I might as well do them all, as they were getting there. I love their online schedule & pre-pay system, because you know WHEN you're getting in, & HOW MUCH you're paying out the door. So I set an appointment & pay for my tires, rearrange my work schedule so I could be there first thing that morning - no problem. An hour before my appointment, I get a call telling me that they don't have the tires. That if I want the tires I bought, I need to drive to the location an hour away. So I asked if they could get the tires anytime soon, & we could reschedule. "Well, I mean...I guess. We're really busy, so it might be a while. I can maybe try for tomorrow, but I just don't know." So, I asked if they had a similar tire, so that I could keep my appointment. "Nah, I don't think we do." No checking. No asking around. Just "Nah." So now I'm screwed, because not only do I need to go somewhere else to get my tires, but they have my money, as I pre-paid. So I asked about getting a refund. The man on the phone literally said "Well, I don't know how to do that. You'd have to call our corporate offices to do that." I asked him for the phone number & his reply was "I don't know. You should just google 'Firestone Corporate Offices' & call them." So I did, & was told that when the appointment was cancelled they would refund my money in 3 - 5 business days. So I called around & found another tire place that carried my (very common) tires. (Firestone brand, no less) I explained to them my situation & their response was "Yeah, we hear that kind of thing about them a lot." They also got me in right away for the appointment. Turns out the Firestone shop I was going to in Phoenix was the anomaly. I'll never go back. read more

My 2001 car overheated and was running poorly. I took it to another garage who kept it for a few days and told me the engine was shot and I needed a new engine for $5,500. I limped it over to Firestone for a second opinion and they checked it out, replaced two ignition coils and I am back on the road! Thanks for being honest. read more

Consider yourself warned! Generally, when I go in for a simple oil change, I prefer for the establishment to actually empty the oil in my car and fill it with new oil. (Seems easy enough!) Bonus points if they use the right kind of oil. This location emptied my TRANSMISSION fluid and then without emptying of the old oil, added 5.1 more quarts of oil to it. (Double whammy!). In case this has never happened to you--spoiler alert-- your transmission is gonna shake so hard and your car is going to run so bad you won't make it a block away. They initially said they were just going to refill it and there was nothing wrong with my car. Thanks to the kindness of strangers questioning the manager, Fred's solution (and a sealed CVT transmission!) my car was ultimately towed to a dealership. **Pro tip #1: don't go here without a man to explain things to you. They will not bother explaining their mistakes to you if you are a woman. If you do go without a man to boss you around, don't worry, Fred will tell you to sit down. (How else would I have controlled my female hysteria?!) Still waiting to find out what the damage is to my car but at a minimum the dealership told me anything relating to my transmission in the future will no longer be covered by the 100k mile powertrain warranty. Did I mention my car had only 36k miles on it?! This is gonna look super on my Carfax! I hate to make the place sound all bad. They did get me in for a same day appointment, so that's something, right?! **Pro tip #2- make your appointments early in the day so that the rental car companies are still open when they have to tow your car to the dealer to fix their mistakes. As someone who had to Uber home and is sitting at home with no wheels, I can tell you this is key. read more

I had my car looked at and was recommended replacing a big part and was given and out the door cost with labor included. When I took my car back in to have the work done, it turned out the original part I was looking to replace was in good shape but the car needed a bigger job to fix the issue I was having which was obviously going to be a much bigger cost. To make matters worse, they did not have the new parts I needed so this ended up being a two-day job. It sounded like the first mechanic (who was no longer there) who looked at my car misdiagnosed the issue. Justin stepped-up and did everything he could to make it right for me. He was more than understanding and went above and beyond to remedy the situation that he had just walked into. My car is doing great and he continued to walk me through the condition of my vehicle. Ask for him, he is wonderful and provides great customer service and did not treat this as a general transaction. Thanks Justin! read more

I usually get, we will try our very best to get your car done within a timely manner with out an appointment. I went in today, Fred, store manager, said 'well, we'll have to keep your car here all day!' SMH, for an oil change? Yep, or bring it tomorrow or Saturday. My car oil light is on I need it today and I am not going to be here in town. Sorry, can't help you with his smug look on his face..............and just stood there staring at me. Made an appointment several days ahead online to have my snow tires put on my car. I followed up with a phone call to confirm. I received an email confirming. I showed up, was told it would be about an hour. When I came to pick it up, they said, "Oh, sorry, we tried to call, but it won't be ready for another hour and a half." Let me just say that it must be something in the air in Longmont that is so relaxed that no one feels the need to use good customer satisfaction or to work hard. I made an appointment with fire stone online at 2 o'clock on a Sunday to get my tires replaced I pull in there talk to the guy at the reception and he has to learn how to look up the online reservations and starts giving me excuses about how it's the first time he's done it and hasn't been trained. And then I'm told he needs me to leave my car first to put tires on the only reason I went there is because they were open on Sunday and it had a decent price for tires. Then he gives me the excuse there's only two technicians and I said including you? He said yes but I hurt my shoulder. So you have no one who could put two tires on even? Yes but one of our two technicians in the back was in a motorcycle accident and he's moving really slow. Are you kidding me? I asked him why they didn't call me and tell me this was the situation when I actually put on the reservation I would be waiting for my car. read more

Check your tires before and after you stop by this place! I took my Jeep in for balancing and rotation. It took nearly 1.5 hours, which I have no problem waiting, but when they were done, all they did was balance the tires. When I told them that they didn't rotate the tires, their response was that it was done. They didn't realize that I had marked my tires so I could double check and told them this. Their response was, well it's a free service so you didn't pay/charged for the work not being done. Stay away. read more

I would absolutely give 0 stars if I could First, I never write reviews, if somewhere is exceptional I will give verbal recommendations to my friends, family, and customers. If somewhere is awful I usually steer clear and tell people to do the same. With that being said, Firestone has really been exceptionally terrible to me and I'm at my breaking point with them. Let's start with my initial visit- I went to get 4 tires that were on sale installed onto my car, pretty standard procedure, I spent about a year as a Tire Technician and a couple years as a mechanic at another shop and this should take a moderately experienced tech about an hour at most. I was the only customer there, and I sat and waited almost 4 hours for a simple tire swap with a balance and mount. Then I was told that my car needed over $1600 worth of service to be considered safe including a $80 serpentine belt on my Subaru (a 15 minute procedure and they quoted me $30 for a $15 belt), all four struts (i had replaced and aligned brand new Bilsteins on my car literally a week before), an upper radiator hose (claimed it was ballooning and about to burst, Still have it on 6 months later and it's just now showing signs of those symptoms) and a list of other things that were not needed yet. Finally during my initial visit, I was only offered a $100 alignment, not an alignment check. Fast forward 6k miles and my front two tires are inn perfect condition, the rears however are absolutely bald. Showing cords across the entire tire on both rears, when I brought it back to them, they claimed because they didn't align my car or even check the alignment they would not warranty the tires that were now unsafe. I told them I was not offered an alignment check, only a full service for $100 and I knew my alignment was within spec. they didn't budge though, and insisted something I did was the cause for their tires failing. So i ate the cost after visiting 2 stores trying to get it rectified. I replaced the tires with a set from craigslist and had Barnsley Tire Co. in boulder mount them (highly suggest that group by the way) and I've put 10k miles on the used set without a single issue of wear. Then I saw an ad on Facebook about how Firestone has top notch tires, so I commented my experience and they reached out to me asking that I return to the shop to get my alignment checked out to see if they could help fix my issues. So I agreed (foolishly) to go back and see what we could figure out. Jim was incredibly hostile, rude, disrespectful, and overall unpleasant. He said I was lying about my previous experience and that I had to have been offered an alignment check because his computer said so, he showed me a blank work order on his screen. He insisted that my alignment was now out of spec and they couldn't do anything for me unless I bought their $100 alignment. After 16k miles I am not surprised my alignment has faltered but that doesn't change the fact that the used set of tires I paid $150 for have outlasted and outperformed their tires (which I paid over $600 for), without signs of poor alignment. Now they have wasted my time and money twice and insulted myself and my intelligence. I will never recommend anyone go to Firestone if they won't stand by their product and there are no repercussions for a shop relying on the ignorance of customers for a quick buck! read more

one star is too many. i went to this location to simply get a thrust angle alignment performed and i told the idiot service manager that i completely did not want an inspection performed on my mercedes benz, but what do i see the technician doing inspecting my mercedes so that they can tell me how much $$$$$ i need to spend in their repair center. i forced them to return my vehicle to me! both the service manager and the technician objected and i told them that i would call the police. they gave me my vehicle back, and i drove to big o tire of loveland. big o tire of loveland is a fabulous and reliable auto repair center and they performed the alignment i required! read more

Made an appointment to get tires on my truck. Gave them all the info,make model trim package etc. Show up at the appointed time,was told they didn't have my tire size but they could get them that afternoon. I agreed to bring my truck back after they called to let me know my tires arrived. Afternoon turns to evening and no phone call. So I assumed they didn't want my money and took my truck to Big O the next morning and was taken care of in less than an hour,without an appointment...3 days later and still no call from firestone. read more

Made an appointment for a tire rotation and the experience ended terribly. I came in to get a rotation done on a set of four tires I had purchased from this store. They took my car in and got started fairly quickly to my amazement. I was approached by the mechanic working on my car with one of my front tires and it was very worn. They suggested replacement, but I am not in a situation where that is feasible. I said just do the rotation and all moved forwards or so I thought. I was given the keys to my vehicle and a receipt saying the rotation was completed and headed home. At my apartment, I looked more closely at the tires and they did nothing. The tires were still in the same locations, and my time wasted by their tech. I called the store right away and the tech that worked on my car said they were also the service manager(Scott). A short "sorry" with nothing following was all he had to say. I asked for him to explain why this happened and he called it a miscommunication, and offered no other explanation or any further solution. He even had a chuckle on the phone as we conversed about the situation. Stay away from this place. By other reviews, this is not the first time they don't complete service as expected. Take your time and money elsewhere if you have any expectation of good service. read more

Unreal. I have one day off a week and I waste it dealing this store!!! I walked in aroind noon, Saturday April 30th, seeking 4 new tires and a front brake job. Was told the tires were not in stock, but would be there the next day, Sunday May 1st, by noon at the latest. Walked in Sunday at noon and was greated by a guy who could have given a crap less that the tires were not there. He acted as if I was stupid for even thinking tires would be transfered between stores on a weekend. Now that I have moved all my plans for my only day off only to be treated like an idiot. The guy talking to me didn't give two shits about the whole situation, had a smerk on his face thru out our interaction. Didn't care that I will have to drive an unsafe vehicle another week. I initially went here in 2013 because we have got the lifetime alignment deal years ago at another firestone. They recommended the usual upsell's (fuel injection cleaning, coolant flush...) But they did manage to finally sort out the alignment on that car. They are the first firestone shop that actually aligned the car properly so it doesn't pull to either side. Since the initial satisfactory experience there seems to have been a management change that's made the place better. My experience getting new tires as well as some service has been good overall, the staff there are friendly and have done good work to date. Overall this is the first shop that i'm comfortable working with to keep my vehicle going. read more

I have had great service here, twice. This 2nd time, Sunday, July 7, 2019, I called about my leaky-going-flat-again tire. I got enough air in it to get there but it needed to be fixed as I had a road trip to set off on. They squeezed me in and it was obvious they were very busy. Then, because I find the whole right/left thing challenging, I told them it was the rear right tire instead of the rear left. They called to tell me they could not find anything wrong and that's when I realized I had told them the wrong tire! They did not complain or call me names (to my face, at least!) and they still repaired my tire (roofing nail) by 3PM Sunday. Great guys! Kudos to Fred and the rest of the team!. read more

I went in recently for an oil change. It turns out I also needed a battery, which I bought as well. A woman working there, I think her name was Sara, also suggested I buy 2 new front tires. I said okay to that and asked how the rear tires looked. She said those 2 could wait maybe another month or two. I said to Sara, since I need 4 tires, do you have a special going on, something like buy 3 tires, get 1 free? I seem to recall something like that. She said, no they didn't have anything like that. So I took her at her word and bought the 2 front ones only and thought I'll get to the other 2 shortly. I paid the bill, got home and then knew why I thought they had a tire deal going on. I had received an email from Firestone about it. I just didn't have the email with me because I thought I was going in to get an oil change, not buy tires. She flat out lied to me. I had been going to this particular Firestone for years and had literally spent thousands of dollars. I don't know if this was some corporate edict where the employees are told not to acknowledge specials unless someone brings in a coupon, but this was awful treatment. I didn't feel just ripped off, I felt like an old friend had betrayed me. That was worse. read more

Easy choice take it to firestone their corp partner account. Figured hr at most nope wrong 3 hrs to replace the tire. No excuse for such poor management. I made on appointment for 5pm to have 4 new tires and an alignment. My appointment was completely messed up when I walked in. They had me down for new tires and leaving the car with them. No. It should be the alignment and 4 new tires while I wait for the car. It took about an hour past my appointment to have my car placed on the rack. Then the tech left my car unfinished. Later the desk person that night said they found my car sitting unattended and would finish it up asap. That was nice but why was it abandoned in the first place? Then I was asked more than 3 times if I wanted an alignment. Well, that's what I made the appointment for so stop asking and get it done! After waiting 2.5 hrs, even though I had an appointment, for tires and an alignment I drove the car home to find the tires being only 20 lbs on both front tires. Wonderful. When I drove the car to work the next day I noticed it was about the shake apart going over 50 mph. I took it back and explained my problem. Good news is this time I was attended to quickly. (Funny that I received quicker service walking in than I did with an appointment.) I was told that a weight fell off. Okay. Sounds good. Well, driving my car to work it did the exact same thing. When I called and asked for a manager the guy on the phone said, "Um, that's me." I explained again what happened and he seemed extremely uncaring. Just said, "You asked to have the tires re-balanced and that's what we did." NO. I asked for the vibration to be fixed. I never had a vibration before and after taking my car to Firestone it's like I'm on a cheap, vibrating bed in a motel! Long story short the manager was very uncaring, unapologetic for my terrible experience, and offered no suggestions as to what could be happening or what it might take to fix it. He was just this robot who couldn't care less about their terrible service and horrible customer treatment. Hey, this is Colorado, I wonder if he was stoned! Funny thing is, if the "manager" i.e. Fred, was at least apologetic and made me feel like I was being taken care of, I'd leave a great review because problems do occur in life and I get that. But instead he just defended his tech for leaving my car unfinished on the rack and took NO responsibility for the situation. When your business deals with the public you better know HOW to deal with the public!!! I'll be taking my car to the dealership from now on. I've NEVER had a bad experience at I-25 KIA! ***UPDATE*** I took my car to Boulder Firestone today since I really wanted to have my car fixed at no extra charge. The women at the counter was extremely friendly and greeted me the moment I walked in. (I had a very different feel already) I had an appointment for noon and guess what, my car was serviced at noon--unlike my Longmont appointment. After about 45 minutes or maybe an hour the problem was found. THREE of four tires were balanced incorrectly-- an ounce or more out of balance per tire. Please be aware I was having everything with my suspension and tires checked. If I asked for only a balance job I'm sure it would have been even quicker. I was very happy with my treatment and to top it off, my car drives great now. Nice work Boulder! Seriously! I see up and down reviews regarding the Boulder location on Yelp but my experience was fantastic. I'll write a review for Boulder's location as well. As for Longmont's location? Well, two trips and they can't even balance my tires correctly. Then Fred acts like I'm such an inconvenience on his life for wanting the job done right. And as you can see in my original review he said to me exactly this,"You asked to have the tires re-balanced and that's what we did.". Then he continued to treat me like I was a jerk when the balance job they did, TWICE, was complete garbage. I hate to think what would happen if I needed a brake job! read more

This location was a rip off. My son who was working in Longmont for six months took his car to have the struts and mounts replaced. They charged him and sent him on his way. When I went out to see him two months later, I noticed it was running ruff on the rear end. I took it back to the store to discover they did not replaced them, but they charged him over $900. They made excuses that they both went bad. They agreed to replace them. They tried to make it like they were doing me a favor because they said they replaced the mounts as well when I fact they didn't do any of the repairs. I caught them in several BS stories. If I had my cuffs with me, I would have arrested them for grand theft. Don't let your kids or wife go there because they will rip you off. They are unethical mechanics who cannot admit they made an error. read more

They wanted over 80 dollars for a headlight bulb replacement. I figured that must be a mistake so I asked the guy if that was correct and he said yes because it would take them half an hour to do. I went across the street to valvoline and they did it for 23 dollars and in less than 15 minutes. I didn't even have to get out of my car. Firestone is a rip off. read more

Terrible customer service. The manager Fred has no business being a manager. Treats customers and employees poorly. Made an appointment for a tire rotation and oil change and 2 1/2 hours later still no call. There is no reason when you have an appointment that it should take that long and to find out they did not even do the tire rotation. The manager walks away when you are trying to talk to him and voice your concerns about the customer service. The technician Gary was the only one that had any customer service at all. He completely made a bad situation better by just taking some time to speak to the customer. We will not return even though we think Gary is great due to the manager Fred. This happened awhile ago, but I'm still ticked. I had just been into my dealer 2 weeks prior for a full service, so when I came in for tires I told them to please skip their "Free inspection". (frankly I got bad vibes from the manager) Was a waiter. Tires went on and I noticed they'd put my hood up anyway, so went up and mentioned that I didn't want the inspection because I'd just had it at my dealership. The manager said "oh, I'll take care of it", went out and poked around the car. He took a rather long time before the hood went down. But everything seemed fine. Didn't drive the car very much until a few days later when I was taking a friend to the airport and the car just died. We went out and looked at the engine, and the vacuum hose had been pulled out of place!! I'm a regular Firestone customer, have the Credit Card, have done business with Firestone for a long time, but I will NOT take it to this Hover Road Longmont Firestone ever again! read more

Do yourself a BIG favor and find another auto shop. The customer service is awful. The work is shotty. And, quite frankly, I do not trust them. Here's my experience. In for an alignment, tire balancing, and oil change. Was told it would take 2 hours, and it took 6. No heads-up call during the day. No apology at any time. Discovered afterward, when turning the wheel, a grinding noise from under the truck. Called and explained this, and they got me in that day (only positive here). Was told it would take 1 hour. It took 2. Dealt with the GM. He was unapologetic - his body language told me he didn't believe me. Drove the truck with a mechanic and sure enough, the tire was rubbing the mud flap. From there, I had to counter every "theory" they put forward. "Well, we just don't know the history of this vehicle... it could have been in an accident... you probably drove it in a big pot hole... you must have changed tire sizes, ...." Actually, one owner (me), meticulously maintained (190K miles), no accidents, same tire size since 1999, and, sorry, no pot holes either. So they put it on the lift. Then I'm told they are not responsible for the problem, but found some other work they could do that "might" fix the issue. They were ready to write up an estimate right on the spot. Are you kidding me? So, I'm checking out. The GM was present, but didn't say one word to me. Again, no apology, just a "let us know if you want these repairs done." Why? So, you can screw up something else - at my expense - and refuse to honor your work? Oh, I can't forget this. So a lady comes in and explains that she had some work done on her tires there and now one of them has lost air. The Firestone guys says, "we've had a couple of cold nights... that's what probably happened." Really? That's all. Stay clear of this place. read more
