So far both the new CV joints they replaced have had to be replaced, I am now having to replace the rear struts because either the strut or the installation was faulty. I will not return to Stonum Automotive to fulfill the warranty because I no longer trust their competency or their honesty. Several things make me wonder about their competency and/or honesty as when I decided to have another mechanic look at the car, one that has very high ratings, they found some questionable conditions in my car. One of these was a belt for the alternator- excuse my lack of mechanical knowledge, that was the wrong size. It was too small and near breaking. Was this incompetency or more? I don't know. But no matter what I will never go to Stonum automotive again. If I could give them a negative review I would. So far, I am having to pay another $2000 + to fix their incompetency. I had used Stonum for several years and feel my trust was totally betrayed. If I could give a negative review I'd give them a -10.

Here are the facts of my visit to Cooper's Automotive (now EAS Tire & Auto) on June 19, 2026: The Cost: I spent a total of $2,498.90, with over $1,800 of that strictly dedicated to replacing engine mounts. The Issue: Instead of factory-recommended components, they installed non-recommended, cheap aftermarket parts (Anchor and Autopart International). The Result: Immediately after pickup, my 2018 Ford Explorer started vibrating whenever idling at red lights or sitting in park. Broken Promise: Their invoice explicitly promises a NAPA warranty. However, when I returned with the vehicle, they completely refused to honor the warranty or fix the vibration they caused. They charge premium prices for cheap parts and do not stand behind their work. Save your money, time and headaches and go elsewhere.

I bought a truck yesterday and a nail was found in the back passenger side tire while it was being…read moreinspected by a mechanic before I purchased it. I knew at the time of purchase that the tires were fairly worn and was told by the pre-purchase inspection tech that I "should replace them before winter" (it was early spring). There was a nearby Discount Tire so I drove by and set up an appointment for the following day. I showed up for my appointment and the tech came out and inspected the nail and measured the wear on the other tires that had no nails. The Discount Tire employee took less than 30 seconds before he told me "they couldn't plug the tire and rambled off some DOT standard". I called another shop and they said "that sounds just like Discount, if it's in the top I can repair it." The other location (Big O Tire) had knowledgeable techs, was family owned, and gave me plenty of advice and fixed the tire for free. The tech at Big O said "they won't repair your tire but they will let you drive out of there with a nail stuck in your tire... which one seems more safe?" Not to mention, if it only took 30 seconds why in the world didn't they look when I was in the day before? In comparison the employees at Discount Tire seemed like minimum wage / teenagers who know little about cars and just serve the corporate bottom line. If at all possible forget Discount Tire exists. They aren't there to serve you.
