This is an outstanding service garage! In a time characterized by indifferent incompetents, Matt and his band of technicians are absolutely GOLD STAR Great! They are amazingly talented in diagnosing problems and and repairing all makes of automobiles with factory original parts . They are also reasonably priced and quick to get you back behind the wheel. On three separate occasions now, they have diagnosed and repaired problems in my Toyota Tacoma 6-speed manual transmission, and friend's a Lexus that several dealerships could not diagnose and repair at an affordable price. They are also fast in getting you back behind the wheel and accept credit cards. If you have an annoying problem with your car or pickup or need tires--this is your place to go! read more

We just moved to PA and need to have both cars smog checked in order to register them. The day before our scheduled appointment, the back window on one car stopped working--and was stuck down--so we asked Goods to take a look at that, too, as well as our A/C, which wasn't working. We dropped the car off on a Friday morning. They called Friday mid-day and communicated that there would be a $120 charge for the air conditioner, which we okay-ed. They were unable to complete the work on Friday--which is not their fault, we delayed in calling them back--so the car stayed in their lot over the weekend. We were at the nearby Giant doing some grocery shopping, and decided to swing by Goods and ensure that either a) they had kept the car inside because the window was still broken and the car was therefore easy to steal, or b) they had fixed the window and left the car outside. We arrived to discover the car outside. Although the window was fixed and rolled up, the car was unlocked in their parking lot. We called Sunday morning and confronted them about leaving our car unlocked in a busy parking lot over the weekend. The first person we spoke to was completely unapologetic. Eventually we spoke to someone else who gave the excuse that they were really busy on Friday. When we went to pay the bill we learned that the $120 for the A/C was to DIAGNOSE the problem. For that amount we learned that 1) the A/C wasn't working (which we clearly already knew) and 2) we needed to replace the entire thing. I'm sorry, but $120 for a diagnostic test is crazy! What's more crazy is that they did not sufficiently explain to us that that $120 was to diagnose the problem, not fix it. Had we understood that after the $120 the A/C would be no closer to working, we might not have okay-ed the cost. All in all, very unimpressed. We pay $550 to diagnose the A/C, fix the back window, and get the smog check. No discount for leaving the car unlocked, and pretty weak apologies. Needless to say, we will not be bringing our second car to Goods. read more

I've used Good's for 3 years now, based on the recommendation of colleagues when I moved to PA. I was not disappointed! I have one car, one car that I rely on for everything. When it needs service, it's a BIG deal. Like, stressful and anxiety-provoking big deal! Other places have tried to scam me, even scare me, about unnecessary and costly repairs. Good's has saved me every time. Time and time again. 1. They are honest. This is the most important factor for me. 2. They actually care about their customers. I've had difficulty with state policies around car issues several times since moving to PA that they've helped me navigate (not around, but through, with ethics--seriously, what other auto shop helps its customers like this???) 3. They are reasonable. 4. They will get the job done. 5. Did I mention that they are honest! Good's will get the job done, it will be done right, it will be done honestly, and at a fair price. I've found Good's to be Excellent in customer service, fair, timely and knowledgeable. I've been taking my car here since moving to PA in 2012. My car has been here since for everything from annual inspection to damage from Hurricane Sandy (I'm from NYC. A large tree branch lodged itself under my vehicle causing issues. It's a long story.) Matt, Mark and their team know what they are doing. Their prices are reasonable for the working family, and service is spectacular. When I bring my car in without an appointment (I have to wait there since I don't have anyone to pick me up) they get me in as soon as they can and don't leave me waiting there until they close. And there is Wifi, TV, and hot coffee while I wait. And if I get bored, I take a walk in the little shopping center around the corner. I'm consulted before any work is done, and I never feel like I am being talked into paying more or extra for "additionally needed service" (aka made up services to charge me more..) like some other garages in the area. Additionally, as a woman, I don't feel like I'm being talked down to because I don't understand cars. They take the time to explain what the issue is, and how to fix it, in a way I can understand without being condescending or treating me like an idiot. I do not like dealing with Good's. The majority of the employees' communication skills are quite poor. Quite often, they tell me problem A & B have been fixed and that they also recommend taking care of problem C. I'll put problem C on hold, come in to get my car, only to find out that they did not even take care of the first two problems they clearly stated they already completed. Then they say, "oh, well we thought you were gonna have problem C fixed before you came". Often, we schedule repairs with a few days advanced warning for problems they themselves have diagnosed and know exactly what parts they will need well in advance. I'll drop the car off for av day and a half, hear nothing, call to see when I can pick it up, only to find they just ordered the parts and it will be another day. They do ok work, but are typically over priced, have difficulty communicating, and quite frankly, lie. If it wasn't for their prime Hershey location, I'm not sure who would use their services. My automatic car windows stopped working Couldn't put my windows up or down . No one would work on them I asked Goods if they could work on them. They said Ok , we will try it. They took the time to clean the contacts and that is all it needed. They saved me a ton of money by cleaning the contacts instead of ordering new ones . And the cleaned contacts still work.
