Absolutely unacceptable experience. I had a 4:00 PM appointment today for a tire balance, rotation, and alignment. I dropped off my Jeep Wrangler well before 3:30 PM. As my ride was picking me up, I saw one of their employees get in my Jeep and drive it around the parking lot--not into a bay, just joyriding with a big smile on his face. I didn't think much of it at the time, assuming they were about to start the work. Fast forward to 7:00 PM, and I still hadn't heard anything. I check the app--no updates. I call the shop--they're CLOSED. No call, no email, no message. Nothing. Concerned, I got a ride back to the shop to check on my vehicle. My Jeep--which has no doors or roof and a brand-new sound system--was parked outside, completely exposed, with rain in the forecast. To make things worse, no work had been done. So I have to ask: Why was that kid driving my Jeep around the parking lot? What exactly were they doing with my vehicle for nearly 4 hours? And why on earth wasn't I notified they were keeping it overnight? I'm having the Jeep towed home tonight at my own expense and will be addressing this with management first thing in the morning. I'm also filing a report with the BBB. Check the other recent reviews here and on Google--this isn't an isolated incident. This place is a mess. I came in at 7:20am for an 8:00am appointment. There was one other customer inside when I got there. He only needed a simple check to a battery. He was out in no time. After an hour and a half of me just sitting and no manager providing feedback on my vehicle, my car was still sitting high on the car lift. I stood up to get answers but the phone was ringing and all the guys were in the garage. One of my car tires was just laying there by itself. No one was inside so I walked out to check for myself what was going on. I asked one of the mechanics that was standing there on his phone, if he knew what was going on with my car. He told me it should be ready in 30 min or so. I didn't leave until 10:00am. The manager tried to tell me that the studs on my wheels should be replaced every 3-4 times after I rotate the tires. That is NOT true! They should not be replaced that often and are supposed to last the life of the car UNLESS, there is corrosion, damage, snapped or cross thread, have a tightening issue or wobbling or a vibration. I always do my research. Also, when I went outside and saw the guys standing around not working, I asked one of the mechanics why is no one working on my car? He told me, they damaged my stud and had to order another one. He said it should be here in 30 minutes. No one came to tell me at all. I was just sitting there and what should have been a simple tire rotation lasted 2 and a half hours!!! I will not return here again. I have video and pics of no work being performed on my car. The courteous thing would have been to simply tell me what happened so I would have known. Honest mistake. Not try to cover it up then charge me for something YOU did. After I told him what I was told by HIS employee, he lied and said he would do ME a favor and not charge me THIS TIME. How about not charge me??!! I bought my tires from firestone. I'm entitled to free rotation because they're under warranty and if YOU break the stud sir, YOU are responsible for replacing it. NOT ME! Ethics out there window! This place lies about tire rotations. And when you sign up for the life time alignment, they just print an old ones when you go back to get it realigned. I'll be contacting corporate. Ive spent 10s of thousands of dollars over the years. Just crazy. Now when my tires don't last and you have records of the rotations and alignment. Can't wait for that argument there. They put low ticket items last. High ticket items first, will apologize and continue to do it over and over. read more

We have taken our vehicle there several times, but each time they didn't fix the problem. Last month we took it there to fix an oil leak. It cost over $1200. The week after, it started leaking oil again! So we had to take it to another place that charged us another $2500!!!! They should have fixed it the first time. BiIG mistake was accepting the CFNA credit card to save $50.00 on repair services. They claim not to receive payment (??) then proceed to charge extra fees upon fees, never ending, even when payment received in full. Hard to understand how they can get by with this. I am disappointed with this location, as their service seems to have gone downhill, paired with their prices going up. I was shocked to have paid over 100 dollars for just a simple oil change. Not only that, but my tire pressure light was on in my car, and they didn't even address it. They used to put air in your tires and give your vehicle a complimentary check, even during a standard oil change. So the price went up, and they do even less now. They didn't even put the mileage sticker in the window. My car reminds me when to get one, but it's just another example of less for more. read more

Firestone Complete offered quick service, easy made reservations, and did what they said. Didn't upsell me. I appreciated that.

Requested an oil change and engine tune up. After paying for the everything and getting home and viewing the statement that they emailed me, as they wouldn't show me a physical copy, I noticed a couple things. They charged me for 16 quarts of oil for a vehicle that only takes 6, and charged me for a cabin air filter replacement even though that service was not requested. They also did not rotate my tires as requested, by I was still charged for the service. Today I discovered that they did not put the correct oil filter on my truck and did not hand tighten it as recommended. Now it's time to check and see if the spark plugs they installed are the correct ones, or ones like the oil filter where they were laying around and could fit. I'm pretty sure Boeing has better quality assurance. read more

Too bad I went to the Firestone in Mooresville because my car broke down, had it towed there. They came back with a quote of 1700 to fix my car! My car isn't worth putting 1700 into it, got a second opinion it was only the battery!! I had to pay for towing to the second place and the battery which cost me 300 dollars. What a rip off. I'll never be back to Firestone!!!!! And I'd been coming here for years. I even told the second place it was my alternator but he said only the battery. Watch out. Updating my review. They changed all the people that used to work here. They told me i needed new brake pads (when i had a good 1/4 inch left in them) do I didn't listen to them. 25k miles later i did a 100k maintenance on my car at another shop and the said my brake pads are STILL good. Another yime i came here for inspections they told me i needed new tires so i said "ok but I'm not buying them from you because that's a conflict of interest" they passed inspections. Service was awful and slow. Brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and to have my A/C looked at. Held my car for 3 days, said nothing was wrong with the A/C, had to bring it back a day later because there was clearly something wrong, kept it another 2 days, and then wanted to charge me $1600 for a "new" issue. Awful customer service, didn't replace belt in my car properly so now it screeches and I have to bring it somewhere else. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

The people here are always friendly ... and the wait is never too long but I do recommend making an appointment for oil changes to minimize your wait time. They do not do appointments for inspections it is on a first come first serve basis, they say to call first thing in the morning to see how the day looks. I got here at 830am on a Tuesday and my wait is 45min to an hour. But it was about 20 min, now I can't say that that will happen for everyone. They did add more seats in the waiting room and have a tv/coffee and a unisex bathroom. read more

Called scheduled a oil only and oil change and got a tire rotation and a vehicle inspection that wasn't asked for. My car is a Mercedes Benz and has all OEM parts when I left it 4 if the original Mercedes lug nut were replace with black lug nuts and didn't not report this to me. not only did I pay $200 for a oil change but they put the wrong oil in my car. My car take 0w-40 or 5w-40. We'll the dumbass at firestone put 0w-20 like how does that makes sense well it doesn't. I also requested that I get a full refund. The general manger called me a liar and denied my request. So I told him we will take the car to a Mercedes Benz dealership and have them repair the damages would the cover it, and the dick head manger told me no. Yesterday, I took my husband's truck here to be inspected. They failed it due to the windshield wipers and wanted to sell me some new ones. There was nothing wrong with the wipers. When I said that it was ridiculous to fail since they were fine; the stand-in manager made me wait for my failure paperwork. He purposely took phone calls, people walking in and other things before I stood up and indicated that the paperwork was on the ledge ready. He was being spiteful in my eyes. I asked him if I purchased wipers and returned, could the inspector just take a look at the new wipers and finalize my paperwork. He told me I would have to get in line and wait. He was very rude. I heard him indicate that the manager was on vacation. My husband returned later in the day with the new wipers and he again made him wait for 20 minutes. This is something that would take 5 minutes. He was extremely rude again. Do not use this place as I feel they were trying to take advantage of me as a woman. There was no need for replacement wipers. I hope he can address the issue with his tech. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a car repair establishment (disclaimer: I am a mechanic). Drove our Suburban from CA to NC and took the truck in to get the tires balanced and rotated before heading back to CA. Since I originally bought the tires in CA from a Firestone shop, this service was a complimentary one. I got a call from the manager a few hours after dropping off the vehicle, informing me that the truck needed new wiper blades because they were torn, one front light was out and the tires were cupping hence needed an alignment. I was very surprised as we had the windshield replaced along with brand new BOSCH wiper blades in CA 8 days prior to this date before leaving on our trip. I told this to the manager (John) who went to the shop to confirm, and confirmed that the right side wiper blade was coming apart. I told them not to touch anything just do the balance + rotation. A few hours later I went to pick up the truck and voilá: saw the right side blade 'taken' apart on the vehicle with the two metal 'rods' and rubber insert loose from the arm. The wiper blades had no issues before I took the vehicle in, we drove almost 3000 miles in the past 5 days and I actually used them before dropping the car off. I could not believe they actually went out of their way to take the insert out to show why it needed new wiper blades. I called the manager out and expressed my deepest dissatisfaction- he put the wiper blades back together. They were going to charge $48 for the 2 blades btw. which is a total ripoff. After I got home, I also look at the tires which have about 8000 miles on them now and not even the slightest show of uneven wear can be seen. They're clearly made these issues up, I just cant believe this. In my books this is vehicle repair fraud and will be contacting corporate about it for sure! On top of this, a few days later when I got a chance to drive the car again, I noticed a slight vibration still. I took it to a different shop and they confirmed that all tires were out of balance! 5:45 on a Saturday night and we had a nail in our tire. Fortunately, Firestone was still open. Brought the car in and they were working on it within minutes. Took about 30 minutes to fix it (special wheels that are difficult to work with) but the shop/waiting area was clean and the staff was friendly. When they brought out the car, we were amazed by the way they kept the driver's area clean - plastic on the floor, the seat and even the steering wheel. Very nice considering we'd just had the car washed and the interior cleaned. We need some new tires for our other vehicle and we'll definitely be stopping by this Firestone! read more

It began with the initial appt for 4 new tires for my truck. Somewhere in the process of removing the old tires and installing the new ones the technician broke one of the sensors on my front right tire. I was unable to get the dashboard light to go away, so I brought it back. Firestone replaced the sensor on the 2nd appt, but didn't rebalance the tires. (Also, they couldn't get the dashboard light for the broken sensor to go away, so I had to take to the dealership.) Next day when I got on the interstate my whole truck was shaking. I scheduled a 3rd appt to rebalance and realign the tires. After the 3rd visit the balance seemed fine, but it was jerking very hard to the left. Brought it back for a 4th appt (all at the Mooresville location) to realign the tires. Nothing was fixed, had to bring it back recently for a 5TH TIME for my alignment to still be off and the truck is still jerking hard to the left. I called to let the manager know of my horrific experience at the Mooresville Firestone only to speak to 'assistant manager' Joe who ironically enough blamed me for dropping my truck off at 430pm on a Friday on my 4th visit lol. It was comical at this point. Needless to say I'm no longer a Firestone customer. I cancelled my road hazard insurance and credit card and would never step foot in a Firestone again even though it is the most convenient tire for me where I live. I have worked in customer service for a long time and besides the 5 appts which yielded one problem after another created by Firestone, the assistant manager Joe is the most rude and unprofessional human being on the planet. I own a business. I wouldn't hire him to run my cash register. His rudeness and unprofessionalism far exceeded my incompetent visits. I hope you can hire new staff and turn this store around because it use to be very efficient, and well just read above it clearly isn't the trusted tire shop in town anymore. In summary, I went in for a routine tire change which resulted in 6 appts (1 to the dealership and 5 more to Firestone Mooresville) with problems created during my Firestone appts that were not preexisting! I called yesterday and made an appointment for an alignment today. When I got there, I was told they could not align my vehicle due to the sensors. Why wasn't that explained over the phone when I made my appointment? You guys were given my make model and year. I've been going there for over seven years for oil changes and routine maintenance and will not be returning. It's not the confusion but more so how I was treated when I got their for my scheduled appointment. Just brushed off with no apology, also I had two children in tow. I stopped in for an AC check/recharge on my truck. The price was fair $19.99. I then waited an hour and a half... another customer arrives after me and leaves before me with an oil change. Finally, the manager calls me to the counter and proceeds to tell me that I need to replace my compressor and several other parts for AC system. This would cost $1,300. Needless to say that didn't happen. About a week later I went to a local garage recommended by a friend. All I needed was some freon, like I had asked for in the beginning. Cost, $40. I was there today for AC check of my 2001 Acura 3.2 TL. Either the guy didn't know anything about how AC system works or he thought I don't know anything. He estimated it may take 2-3 hours for "performance check" and it would cost me approximately $60 for the checkup. Really? I expected free checkup in 15-30 minutes. I walked out to a shop couple of blocks away and got it checked and freon refilled all for $83.99 + tax. I will never go to this shop again. They always do what they say they will for me and are only a bit more pricy then my fav garage. Recently they told me they would not replace my balding tire with a tire I already owned. "Insurance Reasons" I was told. The tire I had was even one I had previously purchased at that location. If your a 'complete auto-care' you'd think this would not be a restriction. read more

I really like this place. They have always been very helpful to me. Even when they were super busy, the guy put some air in my tires and took the time to help me out. My husband and I specifically dealt with Larry while Andrew serviced the vehicle. I scheduled an oil change for this particular location for my VW CC and they quoted me a pretty high price. I suspected it was a bit high so I then contacted my car dealership and got a quote which so happened to be a few bucks cheaper and actually closer to my house which actually worked out better anyway! When I called Firestone back out of common courtesy to cancel my appointment, the guy who I spoke with to get the initial quote just so happened to be who answered the phone. I informed him that I wanted to cancel and he then asked "Was it due to the price"? I let him know "Yes, because my dealer does oil changes for a few bucks cheaper" he then asked "How much cheaper" I then told him how much cheaper and he then laughed and said "well i'll give it to you for $2 cheaper" .. I purchased life time rotation and front end alignment for all my vehicles. When you go to there website to schedule a service either be prepared to leave your vehicle there most if not all the day. Service isn't fast even when you put on your appointment you going to wait on your vehicle. I have purchased tires there as well and the cost of tires is very reasonable and fare quality. The last time I was in there was very disappointing. I had dropped my vehicle off for tire rotation and only tire rotation. Came back nearly 8 hours later and they still hadn't completed the job. Said something to the service writer about it and I swear he acted like he wanted to fight me. I went to this location for three things. Spark plugs/fuel system treatment, oil change and NC state inspection. Honestly, I wanted to give this a 1 star review, but instead I am giving it two because the issue with my car (rough idle when AC was on) is gone and my car is running very smoothly... but that's the only reason... The primary reason I am not giving my experience a good review is their penchant for screwing me on parts prices! These guys are professionals no doubt about it. Ok so a tune-up on 80-150 depending on what is done and replaced. In my case they replaced 4 spark plugs and hopefully at least checked the wires, but that's not specified in my bill. So for labor to replace the spark plugs, 80$. I'm good with that. But they charged me... 33$ per freakin spark plug for a grand total of $132! The HIGHEST priced spark plugs I could find for my vehicle were $35 for ALL FOUR! If that's not price gouging then I don't know what is! Hey Firestone... I like to be taken to dinner before I'm F**KED .. so next time... dinner and a movie please. read more

This is literally the WORST location I have ever dealt with. Not once my has vehicle been serviced and returned to me same day despite multiple guarantees it would. Not only that, but when they had my vehicle for FOUR days they left it outside overnight every night and we had property stolen from the toolbox. We were told there was nothing they could do about it, despite the fact that they should have put the truck inside after close. I am not a big believer in chain garages. I had been going to a little Volvo shop, but thought I would take a chance and get a service light checked out at this Firestone.. That was 3 years ago and I take all of our family's cars to this Firestone shop. Brittany the manager is calm, professional, and takes the time to explain what the technicians have found. The team makes suggestions on things that will need to be taken care of, they are very good at resolving current issues like engine check lights and basic maintenance. I feel like they actually care about my car and my family. Would not take our cars anywhere else. I even have my mom taking her car to Brittany, Bob and the rest of the crew! :-) read more

Safety inspection needed. This place proceeded to spend 45 minutes doing a safety only inspection that's the time the technician was working not including waiting. After the lengthy inspection no doubt that had a list of items. The serpentine belt was a stretch though the belt is approximately half way through it's life and they claimed it was cracked and needed replacing. This was a $150 job up from a $12 inspection. I was told I couldn't leave by the clerk that my car wasn't legal to drive at one point. In any case after some push back their fee was waived and I was only out an hour of my time. This place has hostile and argumentative staff. Replaced two lights and another inspection station passed same day. The belt was checked fine and in any case its status as a safety check item is questionable at best. This place is out to hold people hostage for their business. read more
