Made the appointment online for oil change a day before. Went today and even though I had the confirmation email the gentleman struggled to find it. I am not sure if he found it or not but asked me if I was dropping off the car or waiting. I said waiting as that's what's I put on the reservation. He said the wait would be a couple of hours which off course made me mad as that's why I place a reservation. An oil change should be less than 30min and he clearly showed he did not care much that's it was their mistake. Awful. Slow. Total waste of time. Needed an oil change. Went to Firestone because I had gotten tires there and it was time for a tire rotation in addition to my oil change. Brought my car in at 11:20. They didn't bother to tell me until over an hour later that they needed a part to complete the oil change. Didn't bother to tell me this news when I arrived??. THEN only after starting the oil change did they look at my car for the tire lock. That is when we found out that the last Firestone who installed the tires STOLE MY TIRE LOCK FIRESTONE ANYWHERE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED WHAT A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME 3 and a HALF HOURS for one measly tire change. They rotated my tires and for some reason the pressure on all of the the tires were all out of whack, add that to the fact that they didn't reset my TPMS sensors gives me little faith in the ability/competence of this company. KEEP DRIVING PAST THIS PLACE! YOUR WALLET WILL THANK YOU! Made an appointment online for service to be done on my vehicle. Showed up on time and was greet politely. However, and unfortunately, like many auto care places, this one tried to push unnecessary (and expensive) options on me. They told me how much I needed the extra services, even though they had not even looked at my car. I refused the extra services, left my keys and went about my day. A few hours later, they call me and tell me that they will not perform the requested service unless I agree for more extra services. Now what started out as a $250 quoted service, now jumped to over $600. I declined and picked up my vehicle instead. I immediately drove to another auto care specialist and was told that not only did I NOT NEED what Firestone recommended but if I wanted to have the full firestone service that they recommended by the new auto care specialist, it would cost me $300. Over a $350 savings than if I would have agreed to the Firestone folks. You would think that FRAUD dosesn't exist in a National Brand like Firestone, but remember that these autocare facilities are actually Franchised locations. I really should have checked out the reviews on here first before wasting so much time and energy. Avoid this place. read more

I came in around 10:30, and drove off around 4. Based on the feel of my drive now, something was left unfinished. Tire pressure is way off. And I ended up spending a small fortune when all I was originally looking for was an oil change. You might get scared into getting new tires. Beware. read more

I had two really positive experiences with these guys. First off, I came in for a third (yeah, not second, third) opinion on my brakes because I couldn't get a straight story from two other places I tried. I had recently had some work done, but now I thought there were problems, and the original guys who did the work tried to tell me that that's just how the brakes are on my particular model of car. The second place recommended a completely different $250 repair that didn't have anything to do with anything. So I went to these guys and asked for an inspection without telling them anything. They get the car up on the rack, and in a few minutes, the mechanic comes in and says, "Did you just get a brake job? Everything looks brand new." So I told them everything, and they said there was no work to be done. They were also familiar with the problem I was having, and it does turn out that my car model is prone to it and nothing can really be done, it's just a faulty design, and I later confirmed this on the internet. So they could have had me on the hook for anything they wanted to tell me, I thought there was a serious problem, and instead they let me out of there for a $12.95 inspection and told me I didn't need anything else. After that, I brought it back a little while later because I was losing coolant. It turns out I have a cracked radiator, on the plastic side tank, which I've since been able to visually confirm myself. The estimate for the new radiator, hoses, and thermostat was around $1200. So I asked, "Well, what if I don't do it? How serious is this?" And the guy said if I wanted to just check it every day and keep putting fluid in it when it got low, that would be fine, the car might run indefinitely that way. So, again, I could have been on the hook for an expensive repair, but instead they told me how I could get out of there for no more than the cost of the inspection and still keep the car running. The whole thing wound up costing me about $40 for peace of mind that my car would keep running, and I've put two thousand road miles on it since them without worrying. I really appreciate the honestly, especially as that same first day, another brake place had tried to stick me with a $250 repair that two other places said wasn't necessary. The sole reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that I later got another estimate for the radiator replacement from a totally different operation, and it was a little over $400. So, apparently this place's prices for major service are pretty high. But I can't really complain because they didn't talk me into those services when they easily could have. 4 stars is still pretty good and next time I'm in the area, if I need my car looked at, I'll come back to this place for it. My favorite Firestone location this far. Tony is the best... he is straight forward, honest and very helpful! Being a woman, at times its hard to trust mechanics or any car service (being honest) because I'm always not sure if they're honestly or trying to take advantage of my apparent lack of knowledge. However, when I come here I feel like they are looking out for my best interest and not trying to hassle me or push a service that I might not need. I went in for an oil change and because my check light engine was on. In the report, nothing came up. However, they went the extra mile to check the codes andsee what the issue can be. Found out, my car is on recall. Never would've known if it wasn't for them. Trust is major and having that is what makes me want to come back. Every time I've gone to this location, it took them at least 2-3 hours to complete my service. The last time I went, they stripped the bolts on my tire and tried to pretend I brought it in like that. They also told me I needed a $1,200 repair job. But when I took my car to the dealership, they told me I did not require that suggested repair job. What my car needed instead only ended up costing $200. Can you imagine if I listened to Firestone!? Get 2nd opinions if they try to sell you on an expensive repair. read more

I went there for an oil change and do a general check for my car , and when I left my battery light was on (never been an issue before) then it car broke down when I got home not being able to start ?!?!? Although I purchased the lifetime alignment and 4 brand new tires in this place, one week later I came back to do my rotation and alignment and they denied me service. They claimed that my shocks were bad and that they were going to fix it for over $800 to be able to do my alignment. After I just spent over $800 on the package and the tires. The wait is crazy. You can come in right when it opens and wait 2.5 hours for a simple rotation. If you've got a lifetime service plan, they're not making any more money off of you, so it feels like you're even further down their list of priorities (although I cannot prove that). It's a joke. They can't replace the break pads on a 2009 VW CC. I called and got an estimate. I make an appointment for the next day and drop off the car. I get a call a few hours later that they don't work on cars with electronic parking break. Are you kidding me? It's a 2009 Volkswagen, not a Lamborgini. To top it all my wife got verbally harrassed by one of the technicians, a tall African-American gentlemen, when she asked for directions how to get from the bays to the front office. First off,they act like they are doing you a favor by even offering to work on your car and take your money. I went in with a highly experienced auto technician to check them out. There were quite a few customers there which was good because we were able to talk to them and see why they were there. And listened and watched as the Service Advisor "Tony Sullivan" went to work on them. Here's what we found. Work that customers were told needed to be done didn't need to be done. For example: A tire with a nail in it could be patched because the location of the nail. A new tire would be required. You shouldn't replace just one tire you have to replace the tire on the other side too. If you don't driving it will be unsafe which we will have to write on the service order which could effect your tire guarantee. In need of repair light on. They told the elderly lady customer that it will take a complete diagnosis before they could find the problem. They did the diagnosis and said she needed two sensors. The total cost would be around $600.00. The technician watched as they cleaned the connection on the oxygen sensor and that was it after waiting some time to do it so she would think they really had to do a lot of work for her to make her car run properly like they said. All of the above the said was untrue.They try and sell road hazard protection with every tire, we witnessed. One customer was there because they had a screw in there tire. Again they were told because of the position of the screw they could not fix it they would have to buy a new tire at a prorated price which cost nearly half as much as a new tire and the tire that had the screw in it was only a few months old. We went there and said an oil change was the purpose we were there and had a discount coupon for it. "Tony Sullivan said it would take about an hour and we would be on our way. We watched as customers that came after us cars were worked on before ours. Oil changes too! Was it because we had a coupon? After waiting, talking and watching for 4 hours we told "Tony" we could not wait any longer and left without our oil change. We were glad they didn't have a chance to put their hands on our vehicle. I always goto the Firststone near my house, which has excellent customer service. This time I decided I needed to goto the Firestone near my job because of a slow leak. I go in and so far so good, I am attended right away. The gentleman came out to look at which tire was the problem. He immediately starts complaining about my thread depth, the thread depth was ok but I already am on high alert because it would seem that they might want me to buy tires. I have bought many tires from Firestone and have never been pushed like this. He comes back a few minutes later telling me that they can't fix it because my thread depth, which again is not bad. So he becomes rude about it and I say just give me my truck back, which I also say that at the other firestone they have never treated me like this. So he says we are done. So when I get my keys I ask, did you fill my tire up? Which of course they hadn't. They had to take the truck again to fill the tire up. Speak about customer service or lack there of. This is disgusting especially when I take my cars to Firestone all the time. read more

COMPLETE RIPOFF!!! (I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I AM PISSED) I visited this Firestone location today, the service manager Albert G. is a nice guy but he is horrible at keeping and gaining more loyal customers. 1st, they are running this $99 Brakes Special. The coupon clearly states FREE BRAKE INSPECTION but he charged me $14.99+tax. I was informed I would need to replace my master cylinder, 1 rear wheel cylinder, brake fluid exchange and front brake pads(optional), total cost $530.34. I guess he thought this was my first rodeo with auto repairs. For every recommended service over $50, they can offer you $30 off, this is at the discretion of the Service Advisor, (yes it is clearly is stated in there computer and its authorized by their corporate office). Rather then make a sale and keep a loyal customer he choose to attempt to up sale all the parts. He asked me if I had cruise control and I clearly stated more than once no I do not, I have been driving this vehicle since 98' I think would know if I did have this function(Part: Master cylinder w/ cruise control $88.99, w/o $34.99, labor $73.50=$162.49, Part: Rear wheel Cylinder $29.99, labor $105 same part at the auto parts store $11.99=$134.99, Front brake service $99, Brake Fluid Exchange $19.99, labor $60=$79.99 (2 bottles of brake fluid in auto stores $9). Parts $174.26+$303.20 labor Totaling $530.34 (ARE YOU SERIOUS, keep in mind this stores customer numbers are way down compared to the company standards). This Service Manager could have easily offered me all of the discounts available and still made his shop $$$ and kept a loyal customer. Discounts offered by corporate office; Master Cylinder Service $162.49 discount $30=$132.49 (charged for part w/ cruise control $88.99 instead of $34.99 saving $50, Rear wheel cylinder service $134.99 discount $30=$104.99, Brake Fluid Exchange $79.99 discount $30=$49.99, lets not forget the $14.99 he charge for the inspection that clearly states is FREE, TOTALING SAVINGS $154.99. ALL THESE DISCOUNTS CAN BE OFFERED TO ME BY THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE CLICK OF HIS(ALBERT G) MOUSE IF HE TRULY CARED ABOUT HIS CUSTOMER AND WANTED ME TO CONTINUE AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER.
