Do not take your car here!! they cracked my glove compartment and glued my cabin filter with tar and did not tell me. I actually fixed my ac and then a year later they had to fix it again so they are probably using cheap parts. when I took it back the second time they left a piece of my ac vent out on my passenger floor board. I can't say enough about Roy and his team of A/C technicians. After taking my SRX to several Cadillac dealerships for A/C compressor service, all of them wanted $1500 plus a week to order parts and return my vehicle just to install a new a/c compressor. AAA Auto Air Conditioning was 1/3 the cost and had my car back to me within 4 hours! On top of that Don, the technician walked out to my vehicle and made sure everything was done right. In all the years of ownership, the A/C has never blown colder air at 37 F on maximum blower. I was going to sell the car but now it is a good as new. I would give them 10 stars! Perhaps not the friendliest place in South Florida, but certainly the best of breed. Auto air conditioning is a specialty, dealers and most repair shops will do it. But like surgery, you want a practitioner who's performed successfully as many similar procedures as possible (and in this case, as many makes and models similar to yours as possible). Roy, the owner of AAA Radiator and Air Conditioning, is the man in charge. He's abrupt and constantly on the move supervising all technicians and their performance on every diagnostic test and each procedure in the shop. And he does it in real time. Somehow, Roy effectively practices "Management by Walking Around" in a chaotic atmosphere that could turn people like me into a candidate psychiatric isolation. Once your car's been diagnosed he'll tell you your options and their related costs. And if you ask his opinion he'll tell you. I like that because Roy knows your car's air conditioning system better than you know your wife. (I'm fairly certain he doesn't know my wife.) I opted for his recommendation and asked when I could return to pick up the car. It was clear he didn't want to field additional questions but did me the favor of barking, "Five o'clock." "OK," I replied while I marched off thinking, "Damn! Same day service on an air conditioning system? Can't be." But I gladly accepted the response (otherwise I may have faced the threat of having my head bitten off). I live an hour from AAA Radiator and Air Conditioning. So I had to rent a car a mile away from the shop (a tough walk with the summer sun broiling me). And I had to "choreograph" my day's activities to assure I got to Enterprise Rent a Car, did my own occupational work in a suburb miles away, returned the car, and appeared before Roy at five o'clock. He saw me arrive at 5 and told me, "It's ready." He didn't utter another word. I stalled for a moment then walked into the office area. It was noisy, There were two women behind the desk looking down at something other than me. I asked one, "Are you allowed to take my money and give me my keys?" She looked up with a laugh and told me she was. What kind of car and what color? I told her, "BMW. White." It occurred to me I should have said, "Bentley. Metallic red." I would have liked driving away in that. But after some activity with my credit card and the printer located just outside of her reach, she handed me a receipt and my key. No signature required. She looked up at me and smiled. That was a signal our transaction was complete. I told her, "Thanks, can I get my car now?" "Yes." I walked out and came face-to-face with Roy. He put out his hand and shook mine. Roy pointed to my left and said, "Your car's over there." I looked over and saw it. I walked over to the car, got inside and started it up. Of course, I immediately turned on the AC. It blew warm air. As if out of nowhere Roy appeared and said, "It's been sitting here in the heat. It'll get cool soon." So, I put it in reverse and backed out onto West Dixie Highway. I shifted into forward and started my trek home. Soon I could feel that warm breeze bathing me in cool. Roy knew. I have the feeling under that gruff "I don't give a shit, leave me alone" exterior, there's a man who cares. He cares about his mission to diagnose and repair automobile air conditioning systems. He cares about the technicians and other employees who depend on him. And he cares about his customers. He just doesn't care to talk with his customers. I hope I never have to face auto air conditioner challenges again. Driving in an oven around South Florida is brutal. But if I ever have to get my AC repaired again, I'll steer the car directly to AAA Radiator and Air Conditioning. Because Roy's a pro. I'm an engineer so I know when a job is done correctly. And their jobs are not done correctly. I had two services: air conditioning and windshield wipers. Both were done poorly. The air conditioner condenser was replaced and worked ok. BUT they did not re-install the foam liners under the hood. That made the car VERY noisy when driving. They said, "There's nothing wrong. That's the sound of your car." I ended up fixing this myself. They even left a large cover laying on top of the engine block which I noticed and screwed in when I got back home. They replaced the windshield wiper mechanism without doing the first step in the repair manual: marking the wiper position. It took three trips back for the manager to manually adjust the wipers and they are still not right. This is a very high volume shop and they RUSH every job. They don't take time to do the work properly. Chances are you will drive out and turn around and drive back and ask, "What's wrong with my car?" They will make several excuses that, "Everything is ok" until you argue. Then, you will wait an hour until they fix when they messed up. And I mean messed up! due to rushing, sloppiness, failure to even look at their work before closing the hood, and all the signs I have seen as an engineer of sloppy, untrained work. read more

If there's a virtue to be praised it's honesty. But finding honest people much less an honest auto mechanic is no easy task. You probably have a better chance of finding a Liberal in rural north Florida campaigning for socialist free health care and $15/hr minimum wage than an honest mechanic. But the third time is a charm for me at AAA. This time around my cars a/c just took a vacation to Bora Bora on a 90+ degree hot Miami day. I went to one of my two mechanics and after they tested my a/c system they told me my compressor stopped working. I found this to be odd because I just bought it a couple of months ago. So I went and bought a new one at Autozone(it was under warranty) and was deciding if I should go to my mechanic or AAA to have it installed. I chose the latter and thank Kwan Yin I did. One of their many a/c specialists checked my car, and after he checked it, indeed the compressor was not turning on as my mechanic stated, but it was due to a faulty power connection. To make a long story short, between diagnosing my car and fixing my bad power connection it took about 20 minutes and I was out of there. A dishonest AC shop could have easily lied and said my compressor was out, fix the connection and charge me for a new compressor install, but not here. This place is awesome, kudos to the owner Moises! I'm going to recommend this place to everyone. ~~Lesson learned~~ Always go to a specialist who knows the ins and outs of their trade, someone who is a master. My general mechanic knew the issue, but because he was not a master a/c mechanic, he didn't know to check the power connecter as they did at AAA, which saved me a bundle. read more

Took my car here because it was a recommendation from another mechanic to have the AC fixed in a 2015 Lexus. After misdiagnosing the vehicle originally, was told that the only part that was needed was to replace a line that was leaking. My vehicle was returned to me with rare ac vent still not blowing cold air. The original cost to fix the ac was almost $600 with parts and labor. When I took the vehicle back to let them know that the rear AC still would not blow cold, I quoted almost $600 in parts and labor to have that fixed. I would give Roy and his crew 15 stars out of 5 if I could! They will take excellent care of you. He was recommended to me many years back, by my own very honest mechanic, as the place to go when my compressor died. He since has repaired a few of my AC's on several different cars over at least 20 years, and every one worked perfectly when they were finished, and the work was quick and very reasonably priced, when I checked around, and a total bargain versus the dealer. In fact one time six months later, the air in my Kia would blow, but it wasn't cold anymore, so I took it back in. Half an hour later, Roy told me I had a problem behind my fuse box that caused the issue, and he showed me the shorted wire & then repaired it at the fuse box. I asked how much the repair would be, but he said it was still covered under his one year warranty. I told him that was ridiculous, because this was a fuse box problem, which was a separate random issue that had nothing to do with his work, but he wouldn't take any money for this repair! Nobody does that anywhere. Now, I consider myself an honest guy. I mean I stand behind my work product, and if I occasionally make a mistake somewhere because I'm human, of course I fix it right away for free. However, if a new problem is discovered that I didn't cause, even I don't fix that for free Another time I brought a friend in who came down from Orlando in a horrible traffic jam on a holiday weekend. Roy tested his 6 month old car out fully, and said it was working just fine as is. Roy explained that ANY car in Florida in the sun, and just sitting in traffic for an hour is not going to be cool enough. It's just not possible, as not enough air can be pulled through the engine by just the fan, when you're basically parked, instead of driving at work. Roy wouldn't charge him for that full test either, and it lasted 20 minutes while he checked through everything. This is truly a stand-up guy, in a business usually full of rip-off artists. His place is usually jammed with professional drivers, i.e. taxis and police cars, so if they trust him, and I sure do, you can too.
