THIS LOCATION DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO OIL CHANGES. I've brought my Kia here 3 times in the past half year. First time, they didn't tighten it enough resulting in a leak, brought it back so they could redo it on them. This last recent time, they couldn't doit AGAIN while this time, couldn't even put part of my service kit back on.. again resulting in a even bigger leak through the cabin. I've been contacting them for the last 2 weeks just for them to tell me they won't reimburse me the full amount because I didn't bring it back to their location after messing up my oil change literally 3 times. Sent my daughter to Jiffy Lube for an oil change on her 2014 Volkswagen Passat based on the positive experiences I've had over may years of having the same work performed on my truck at one of the Independence, MO locations. Service was quick and they treated her respectfully. However, the car developed an oil leak in the days following and she took her car back to Jiffy Lube to identify the source of the leak. Turns out they overtightened the drain plug and stripped the threads. Of course the technicians at Jiffy Lube denied any wrongdoing. They did attempt to "fix" the leak by applying loctite (super glue) to the drain plug and reinserting it into the oil pan. I"ll refrain from elaborating on the ensuing issues this caused other than to say we eventually exhausted all options and had to have the oil pan replaced (an $800 expense). I'm done with Jiffy Lube. read more

This could have been 5 stars. They said it might be 30 minutes before they could get me in, it was only about 10. Oil change was quick, and they made some recommendations, then pretty soon, they were done. Upon exiting my vehicle, the service tech that pulled my vehicle out, left a big huge oil slick from his dirty hands on the armrest. He was very courteous and pleasant when I had him get back over there and wipe it and the steering wheel off. Then today I noticed oily finger prints on the door. I took my car in last Friday for oil change. I was there for my last oil change. To their credit, they said, "hey, you're 800 miles away from needing an oil change. We've looked at your oil and you don't really need it." I was a little low on my oil level, so they filled it up (no charge), and I was on my way. I should have trusted my gut and left when I pulled up. Place looks abandoned. The 3 workers were all smoking and not one of them could open up my hood. I was told to go to the dealership. The fact that all three of them were smoking in front of a customer is completely ridiculous and grossly unprofessional. Brought my car in yesterday in the rain. Robert(customer service advisor)scanned my vin # and hardly said two words to me. After finishing the vehicle ahead of me I noticed nobody was using bay calls for safety. A few minutes later Tommy(upper bay technician)is trying to add oil to my vehicle. I stopped him asking what oil he was adding because nobody had talked to me about my service. Tommy was unsure if the oil was right so he checked with Robert. Robert for the first time came and verified the right oil on my service. Minutes later Tommy wanted me to start my vehicle up to do a pressure check(again no bay calls) so I myself had to verify with Austin(lower bay technician) below to make sure my vehicle was tightened up before I started it up. My check was brought out faster than the oil change was completed and when a coupon was mentioned Robert just spoke over me assuming. On my exit no bay calls were used for safety and they thought they would close my hood without showing me my dipstick or hood. Incorrect. I had to check them every step of the way. I went for an oil change, tire rotation and fuel injection service but quickly decided better. These guys are rookies. Little did they know I've done every single job at Jiffy Lube for years when I was younger providing real service. These guys are a liability! Don't recommend this shop until they get some training or help. read more

Rolled up with my kids in the back of the car. The worker (tony) decided to tell me I had a weird last name. A strange comment when all you want is an oil change. When he asked me my mileage, I misread a number, corrected it, and then he proceeded to tell me "maybe you should take your sunglasses off buddy." I told him I was leaving. I spent the next 10 mins n the car explaining why it's important to treat people with respect. We had a great discussion on how businesses ultimately fail: by treating customers poorly and not providing excellent service. They are in grade school. Even they grasped it. read more

He immediately told me I'd be done in 20 minutes, I think this qualifies as "in a jiffy"...a word Bob Allen Ford can't even spell. It took a little longer than 20 minutes because my oil filter wasn't in stock. Mike ran to the parts store to get it and had me out in less than 30 minutes. Nothing but good things to say about this Jiffy Lube (10300 State Line Rd. Kansas City) I took my 2019 Enclave in for a standard oil and filter change yesterday. They promptly met me in the driveway and without any research knew what type of oil that the owner's manual recommended. (blend). They carefully wrapped my steering wheel and put protective paper on the floor and seat. (I am 62 years old and have spent more than a few hours under a shade tree with a wrench.) I watched the complete process.......they were very precise and efficient. Makenzie is currently the Assistant Manager and she provided great customer service. (She not only supervised the operation but also was hands on in the pit.......impressive.) Based on their quality performance on my Buick, I asked them if they would be able to tend to my 1940 1/2 ton Chevrolet pick up. I specifically asked if they would be able to check the transmission case fluid level. Their answer was "Absolutely"!!!! (Previous oil change businesses have told me that they couldn't do that) I drove the 40 in for an oil change today. Same perfect customer service!!!!!! What was especially impressive to me was that they had an employee older than my oldest necktie, with automotive repair experience commensurate with his age. He actually knew how to start my 1940 without hesitation. (Not as easy as you might think) From new car to classic, don't hesitate to make this location your go to spot. read more

Just went for a standard oil change and the staff was incredibly rude in the way they spoke to my husband. We didn't even have any needs or special requests, just a normal oil change. They were busy and backed up with cars, but there's definitely no reason to be so rude to the customers. Won't be coming back. read more

$59 for an Oil change! Gotta call foul on that. Jiffy Lube's excuse was that my Jeep Grand Cherokee takes 5 quarts of Oil and that it takes more work to check transmission fluid in a 4 wheel drive. Wish I could rate them zero. A 5th quart can't add much cost and we made it clear that we only wanted an oil change so there was no need to check the transmission fluid. Of course if they wanted to check the transmission fluid and offer me an additional service that's fine but that should be on Jiffy Lube's dime. Jeep dealer will change the Oil and check fluids for $45 read more

Came here for my first time today for an oil change and air in my tires, was rudely greeted when I pulled into the parking lot waiting on someone to tell me which lane to pull into when the man redirected me to pull into the first lane so I started to pull in and he yelled at me to not pull into the stall that he originally just told me to pull into... I was the only car in the facility so they weren't busy was expecting a little better customer service then also made me feel uncomfortable and intimidated....then waited in the lobby I will say was a quick job but they charged me $115 for a simple oil change giving me the premium oil that I didn't need and completely took advanced of me. Overall bad experience will never be returning. read more

Consistently bad service. I've seen them let a guy drive away with no oil in his truck. I decided to give them a second chance because everyone makes mistakes, but was treated rudely enough that I decided to leave before they worked on my car. From now on, I will go out of my way to the Jiffy Lube on Wornall and 79th. They are great. read more
