This might not be the most cost efficient option that exists in the twin cities but am grateful that they exist. My car broke down in downtown during a recent visit. I called around all the other shops within a reasonable vicinity and these folks were the only ones who were willing to have the car towed to them. They called me, explained the issue and only then fixed the issue. Car was working by the time they were done with it. The service was friendly and they were good with the communication. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. My husband took his car to get an oil change & alignment, services were fine but when he got his car back he realized it been broken into. No damage to the car so the car was left unlocked or a worker did it themselves. Either way very unacceptable. A hat with grease on it was left behind, assume what you will. I went in with our 2003 Subaru Forester for an oil change and a look at our brakes. Oil change went fine but they wanted $1600 to redo front and rear brakes. Ouch. I feel like they are preying on folks who don't know anything about cars. Took it to Mike's on the east side. $400 for front brakes including pads, calipers and rotors. This place closes at 6pm on Saturday. My husband arrived on a little after 5pm and they got what we needed done in about 20 min. We needed new tires and made an appointment at our regular discount place which wanted an arm and a leg for new tires, plus disposal fee and all the other service and fees with changing tires. Called and around and luckily came across Firestone for a whole lot cheaper and a lot less of a wait time. i spent over 500 for a repair to be done. started the car and it sounds crazy so I asked to speak to the mechanic only to have the employee say we did what you asked so get the fuck out of my store. police ended up being called and i was trespassed. ended up taking it to another shop only to find out what was supposed to be fixed wasn't even fixed and now some other things are broken. I go to this Firestone because it is very close to me which is super convenient. What is even better is that whenever I go here the staff is super nice and helpful. I personally do not know much about cars so I don't appreciate when places try to oversell things or are unwilling to answer my questions. Whenever, I go to this Firestone they are always super nice and willing to help in anyway they can. I am glad that the one near me is one I am willing to go to. Even though I've mostly just gotten my oil changes here. I appreciate how there is always some coupon or deal going on for oil changes. Also, they are normally always faster getting the oil change done than I expect. Great Service! I definitely will keep going here as long as I live in the area. read more

So brought my car to near by Firestone to change my brakes they wore like okay well call you they called me and told me the brakes and some other issues were wrong and I have to fix it known they lying I still paid the money and said okay just fix it I picked my car up just find out my is no longer drivable I asked them what you guys did to my car and they were like it was like that but we can fix it for $1000 I swear my car was totaled fine except the breaks the manger was being rude and she lied to me so many times on top of the whoever's they hired for fixing cars has zero experience and don't know nothing about cars read more

The place just radiates positivity which is nice when you're going in to get your car fixed. Very prompt in service and in communicating. They also happen to do good work. I went to the business in April and they said they had to replace my front right wheel bearing. In September, the Jeep was making a lot of noise in the front. They said that the wheel bearing they replaced was loose and that warranty would cover the part, but not the labor. When I told them that if it is broken after 5 months, it must be because they didn't torque it correctly or didn't use lock-tite. They agreed to cover the labor. I still had problems with the front end making the same noise (they missed this, I guess). They told me I needed a new left ball joint for $635.00. I told them to fix it. They called me and said they couldn't get a bolt lose and had to cut off a bunch of other things to get to it (Half Shaft, Strut Mount, Sway Bar) and it would cost $2,261.56. I told them I couldn't pay that right now and not to fix it. They charged me $106.11 to put the car back together. I brought it to another business. $636.00 later they replaced the DRIVE SHAFT, not any of the other problems that Firestone told me was wrong. FIRESTONE HAD MIS-DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM THEN CHARGED ME $100!!!!!!!!! DON'T GO THERE. THIS PLACE IS HORRID. I called the corporate office and am waiting to hear back from a regional manager. We'll see how that goes. Also, the picture they posted of the business is NOT the actual business. They are in the heart of downtown, not in a nice grassy community. read more

I chose Firestone for some engine repair as it was only a few blocks away from my place. My car was still drive-able, so I took it to a few different places for quotes and to diagnose the issue. I had already run my own diagnostic, so I knew exactly what the issue was, so I wanted to see if these places came to the same conclusion. Two of the three mechanics I visited prior had quoted me a price on fixing the exact issue that was wrong. Firestone's quote was almost double AND they tacked on a few additional issues with the car that I knew were completely fine (i.e. engine coolant hose which was almost new). Be cautious at this store as they blatantly over-quote and tack on issues which may not need repair. read more

Here from Chicago for a wedding and had a flat tire. Made an appointment on Friday night for 11am on Saturday morning hoping to get in earlier and get a fix before getting to a 2pm wedding. Came in at 10am and with some other people not showing for earlier appointments they got to my car right away. Gave very straight forward clear advice on things and got the tire replaced since it wasn't repairable. Was on my way before my appointment time even came.
