I've been coming to this Firestone location for years, as has my family. The staff has always been helpful and kind, and I've never had issues anyone there--until now. A couple of days ago, I called to ask about my tires. The gentleman who answered did not identify himself, which is unusual since basic customer service is to greet and introduce yourself. I explained my situation, and he gave a long explanation about my vehicle -- information I already knew, but I let him finish. I wasn't satisfied with the answer, so I called back today and asked to speak with the manager. That's when I learned that Gil was actually the manager. Right away, he launched into the same explanation the foreman had given me. Each time I tried to speak, he interrupted and talked over me. I stayed quiet so he could finish, then calmly explained that my tires should still be under warranty. I'm a loyal customer and have been coming here for years, yet he showed zero interest in helping me. Instead, he continued speaking over me and dismissing everything I said. I became so overwhelmed that I hung up. I called back after collecting myself and told him he had been rude. I told him that I hoped his daughters -- if he has any -- would never be spoken to the way he spoke to me. I said I would file a complaint and leave a review so other young women would know what to expect. He denied everything and said all calls are recorded. Funny enough, during the second call, he stayed silent -- then claimed he was doing so to "let me talk." He suddenly said, "I would fight for you and get the best deal possible." But he never mentioned that during the first call, which tells me he was backtracking. This interaction left me feeling emotionally drained and disrespected. Bad days happen -- but speaking to customers, especially young women, in such a condescending, dismissive way is unacceptable. I am shocked that Firestone allows someone who communicates like this to manage a location. I will not be returning. This was genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I left the call in tears. Something feels extremely off about the way this place is being run. **Gil, if you're reading this, I hope you take this feedback seriously. I had a tire very quickly going flat on the 15 and was fortunate to have coincidentally exited right where this Firestone was off the freeway. By the time I arrived, my tire was completely flat. I don't remember the name of the nice young man who helped me, but he wears glasses and was at the inside counter that day. He saw how frazzled I was with my kids and dog in the car and let me know the wait was 45 minutes to figure out what was going on with my tire or he could quickly change my flat so I could get my kids to school. He saved the day and gave me guidance about how and where to quickly get the hard to find tire replaced once I was able to do that. I am so grateful to this nice young man and the outstanding service he provided. I will be back to visit this Firestone for future tire needs and recommend them because of this experience. read more

Omar was great and helpful. I needed to get my radiator fluid checked and he filled it up at no cost. It was a great experience.

So we have been going to this Firestone location for over 10 years and they have always done a really good job. There was also a time where my Nissan Altima went to the dealership in Escondido and they recommended over $7000 worth of repairs. We then took it to Firestone and found out that I only needed like maybe $1000 worth of repairs. I highly recommend this business however here recently, my sunvisor is in my car are broken and I went into the store and one of the workers said I just need to get you a quote and then I'll call you back. I waited two weeks and never got a call back with a quote. Then I called and I was told by another person that works there that they would call me back within 24 hours with a quote and that never happened. So I went in today and asked for the manager of the shop and I guess he was not there so I talked to another employee who said he will call me back tomorrow by noon with a quote and if they actually can help me or if I need to go to the dealership to get it fixed. Great service, fast with high quality'. Highly recommended compared to the Firestone across the street. I actually had an appointment with the Firestone at 16556 Bernardo Center drive. They were going to charge me more because they said Tesla was harder to perform wheel alignment and even though the app showed availability Jay insisted that. they didn't have any. I asked if they will honor the online quote and Jay said they could not because Tesla wheels are "harder to work on". I had a great experience here today. I've brought my car in several times to have tire repair done and they've always been honest and done the repair with no issue. Today I brought my daughters car in for a slow leak and when they told me that the tire was shot I believed them since they've never told me that before. They showed me the inside of the tire And explained that it was caused by the alignment. They gave me a fair price on a new set of tires and they even had Ryan drive me home. An F rating with the BBB I wonder why? Charging Senior Citizens $114.00 for a Synthetic oil chang. The Manager Mike told me sometimes they charge more. About a year ago I had the same oil change done for about $60.00 or so. They did a terrible job on my tire rotation. Under inflating my tires by almost 3 psi. They left my car outside overnight when all there bays were empty. Bad service I am never going back. I am terminating my Firestone credit card. Worst place ever. I am putting a complaint with the California Bureau of Automobile Repair. Already put complaints with the BBB and FTC. read more

This place completely and totally took advantage of my daughter who went in for a loud noise the breaks were making. They told her it was something wrong with the steering and suspension. They charged her over $1,000. After all that the car still makes the same noise. They then told her that the noise was caused by a mistake made by the mechanic who fixed her breaks. That she should take her car Back to that shop. This is just horrible. All we can tell you is stay away from this place. This shop is fantastic and I can't say enough great things about them. I used to go to the Mira Mesa location, it didn't matter that I had to drive 20 minutes past countless other shops, they always treated me well. When they closed the Mira Mesa location, I decided to try out this Firestone, not expecting it to be as good as Mira Mesa. I have been beyond impressed with them! They have always been honest with me, they never once tried to upsell me, talk down to me or recommend repairs that weren't needed. When I have told them that I can't afford a certain repair, they have been straight with me on how urgently the repair is needed. Jude was the manager when I started going to this location. He and I would swap stories about our families, our kids and he made it feel like a small, family company. He was truly delightful and I was very sad when he left. Ryan is now the main person I interact with and has been a wonderful replacement for Jude. He has always been kind, professional and honest. He tells me that he tries to treat people the way he would want to be treated and it shows. The little things the staff at this shop shows that they truly care about their customers. The mechanics have all been wonderful as well, they are pleasant, easy to interact with and do an excellent job. I would highly recommend this Firestone to anybody who asks! read more

My wife had a slow leaking rear tire. I called ahead to make an appointment - got one within the hour. When I arrived they wiped down the surfaces, pens, etc. in front of me (COVID-19 precautions) and took the car in. The tire was fixed within the hour - $21 - what a deal. Ladies beware! Stay far away from this predatory business. I was quoted almost $900 for "the cheapest" tires on my little car. Then when my husband came in and said he thought that was too high the employee I had spoken to LIED and said that he quoted me a cheaper price, but I wanted to upgrade because I "have kids and was worried about safety". This conversation never happened, he saw car seats in the car and fabricated a conversation. Wow. When my husband calmly asked why the price was so high the employee and one of their family members got aggressive! This place is so unprofessional and not trustworthy. Go to Discount Tire in Poway. Went in for an Alignment check. Made appointment and was confirmed for the 9 am slot. Went in around 8.45 am. Store was open. Armando received me and told me that it is a 3 hr wait as there were 2 cars ahead. I believe the appointment system is broken. A company like Firestone needs to invest in technology that is somewhat accurate especially with so many stores. But they turned around in slightly more than 2 hrs. I took my car for service, despite the expectation for the premium price you play the quality of service needs audit... They made me run around and make a appointment for replacing the missing radiator cover clips...they first of all lost it and when I went back were replaces by some after maket ones that don't look good at all... This not the first time something similar has happened, some time back they missed to replace the AC refrigerant cap... one can call me picky but if those clips just cost $13 in ebay and I should not fuss about it, will they lower $13 on their service each time something is missed? I am wondering if I have to go to another mechanic and make sure my service was done properly... I had good experience with Firestone in the past, but this location seems disappointing... read more
