I took my car for service, despite the expectation for the premium price you play the quality of service needs audit... They made me run around and make a appointment for replacing the missing radiator cover clips...they first of all lost it and when I went back were replaces by some after maket ones that don't look good at all... This not the first time something similar has happened, some time back they missed to replace the AC refrigerant cap... one can call me picky but if those clips just cost $13 in ebay and I should not fuss about it, will they lower $13 on their service each time something is missed? I am wondering if I have to go to another mechanic and make sure my service was done properly... I had good experience with Firestone in the past, but this location seems disappointing... read more

I work in trauma at Palomar medical center Poway, I had to leave today for a family emergency and I came out of work to a flat tire I tried to air up the tire but it wouldn't hold the closest tire shop was the Firestone location. I've been a frequent customer to Firestone both living in CA and in Virginia. Usually for a flat tire I can expect to be waiting a couple hours without an appt. Today Jay and his team saw my urgency and made it theirs. Working in Trauma everyday is hectic and all my patients are URGENT care. It was a huge relief to get the same care from Jays team today being on the other end of needing help and vulnerability for my flat tire. read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING HAVING YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE. My truck gets a lot of miles both on and off-road, so service is a serious expenditure for me. One of my shocks sadly had blown, and I replaced it in July of 2022. The mechanic that took care of my truck this time was Marco. I cannot express how fantastic he was. I had an alignment and safety inspection done at the shop. He was knowledgeable, did quality work, and even took the time to kindly explain exactly what he saw and had performed on the car. He is a true professional in his field, and I am ashamed to see his talents go to waste at an organization like this. The service advisors here are awful. I made an appointment in October to have my oil changed and an alignment. The invoice states I arrived for my appointment early, at 8:12am. I waited until (I kid you not) 4:47pm to get my truck back. I had to walk up to the shop floor and nag them to start working on it eventually and they did. I checked in every hour and they'd say "oh it's up next" or "we should be done with it in the next hour". That didn't happen. The service advisor scolded me for having put the wrong oil filter on my truck last time and said I shouldn't change my own oil, I never change my own oil. The Valvoline in Carmel Moutain had done it last, and the Valvoline did it correctly. I was skeptical that there had been such an issue, but I just wanted to go home since it had taken so long already. When my truck was finally ready, the keys to it had been misplaced and took a minute for the mechanic to find them. Sloppy Sloppy Sloppy. I opened the hood later to see more sloppy work, oil spilled along the engine vanity cover. I looked at the paperwork closer, and the wrong engine type is shown for my truck!!! After my experience with Marco, I had some trust in the knowledge of the mechanics at this shop. I regret that. I called, saying "You've got the wrong engine type on the paperwork, are you sure the right oil is in the vehicle?" and the service advisor assured me even for my v6 engine it was still the right oil in it. This was a LIE that I didn't realize until it was time for my next service, today (January 9, 2023). It clearly says 5W30 on the oil cap right next to the giant V6 logo, yet somehow the mechanic thought it was an I4 engine and required 5w20 oil, no clue how this happened. See attached photos of my engine bay and oil cap to see just how hard it is to not see the lettering. Sloppy Sloppy Sloppy work. Now I've been running the wrong oil in my truck for 6,500 miles. Can't wait to see what damage that's done. I tried to go by this Firestone today when I figured out that I had been running the wrong oil. A Monday afternoon at 2pm, you'd think there would be somebody that could help me resolve the issue? There wasn't. I walked inside to a service advisor at the counter and ask if there was somebody I could speak to regarding the wrong oil being put in my car, he stares at me blankly and says no, there is no manager right now. So I have to push him asking "Ok so who can I speak to and when" and he tells me to try again tomorrow. No wonder this place is such a mess! If you care about your car, DON'T TAKE IT HERE. They can't even make their sloppy mistake right! Rude staff and terrible quality make for a horrible combination. read more

The guys did the work what was necessary and told me that the filters didn't need replacement although I had assumed that they needed to be replaced. Will any business refuse free money? What makes it 5 stars? - great customer service: they always pick up their phone, it was easy to book an appointment, and was greeted by friendly staff. - upfront costs and estimates that were honored - my appointment started on time and finished within the time frame promised - I paid $77 for unlimited tire rotation and balance for the life of those tires (most likely we will go another 1-2 times, so essentially $25 for each visit) I see the mixed review on Yelp but felt the day I went (Friday morning), the staff was on target. read more

Covid #76 review My check engine light went on and this was the closest place from the freeway where my light went on. It was early, 7am, and thank goodness they were open. A man directed me to the lady inside and just as advertised, they were able to tell me what my check engine light was really saying. It gave me peace of mind. And yes, it was free. DON'T BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! Long story short, my dad has been taking his Audi A4 here for years and had the same issue, an oil leak at the filter. This was never fixed because 'The car is too old, it will always leak', at least what the mechanic would say... Fast forward to today when the car was passed down to me. Decided to take it to German Auto in Escondido, and they fixed the oil leak no issue. Haven't had a leak since. Whoever that old guy mechanic is has been lying to us for YEARS that it couldn't be fixed... so much oil wasted. You're better off taking it to any other place. They can probably take care of your Honda but DEFINITELY no german/euro cars.... read more

While a new alternator for Camry is half the price they quoted. But still I asked them to go ahead and replace it. When I went there to pick my car I got to know that they installed a remanufactured one which is just $253 at Autozone. They asked me to get in touch with the manager Sandy. But whenever I called, he was unavailable. The guy who picked the called said I don't care if you called many times he is not available right now. Will never recommend this place to anyone. This review is for Jude only... swung by with my fleet car to see if I needed new tires. Jude said my tires are so bare he didn't even want me driving off the lot. He spent the time to call up fleet personnel on the phone to get everything approved right away. Despite the fact that the shop had a tech call out sick so they're short handed all day, Jude maintained a very friendly and positive attitude where most people would be stressed out and short with customers. Low tire pressure so took car in. After 2 hours these guys tell me there's a screw in the sidewall that can't be fixed. Then told me I'd need new tire. So I beat feet to Discount Tire who said there was a screw in the tread, not the sidewall. 15 minutes later it was fixed there for FREE. Anyone else think this sounds sketchy? read more

Office staff is friendly but the lead mechanic is unprofessional. Brought in my car for tire replacement at 2:15. It's now 6:15 and it's still not done. Complained to supervisor l mechanic guy: "you need an appointment" "my mechanic should've been off at 5" "he hasn't even eaten Yet". Then he has the guts to say "I can find out everything about you in 2 seconds cuz I know a guy in the FBI". Ladies and gents, all I did was ask him how long until my car is done. He asked me what I did for work (I'm in security). He went on some rant about how his family member works for the FBI. I took my hearing aids out because I didn't care what empty words he has for me but honestly, worst customer service I've ever had. I don't think I've ever left a review on here, if I have it has been ages. First of all, Firestone, hire more people and follow CA Labor Law. Second make sure this guy gets training in customer service. I'm not out for vengeance but this guy is passive aggressive as hell and he was unprovoked. Being a woman, and him saying he can "find out everything about me" is a veiled threat. Third, I hope your employees are getting the penalty pay they are entitled to if they are being forced to miss their meal breaks. My family and I are visiting from Bisbee, AZ and my car was making a strange noise. We took it in to have the noise checked out. My daughter walked in the back/wrong door and Sav Berwalt (the service manager) approached her. She sent Eduardo out to do a preliminary check. He could not find the source of the noise so we asked for a vehicle inspection. They did it within a few hours, did not find anything and did not charge us. They were courteous, kind and helpful. Coming home from a concert on Saturday night, I ran over something in the road that punctured my tire. Of course I did not know this until the following morning when I woke up and found that it was completely flat. After AAA came to replace it with the donut, I was on the hunt for an auto shop that was not only open on a Sunday and close by, but also had a tire in stock that was similar to my other tires in tread, size and aesthetically. Firestone not only had options, they were also willing to get it done that day for me. When I arrived they took the punctured tire from the back to take a look at the hole. They did give me the option of fixing the tire, but after a short discussion with my mom, we decided it best to just replace it due to safety. The tire manager was very helpful in describing all of my options and explaining why not just any single tire can be placed on an AWD car with already worn tires on it. Though the new tire isn't identical, it is very similar and no one would know as well as it being within the proper tread measurements to go with my other tires. They had the tire replaced in about an hour to an hour and a half and I was on my way. It wasn't cheap, but even the AAA employee informed us that the tires for my car are nice ones and a bit pricey. I didn't feel that the associate at Firestone was trying to nickel and dime me or pressure me into purchasing things I did not need. I will definitely be keeping them in mind for any work I need done outside of my warranty. read more

When you go in...David is the man. His customer service is top notch. I thought that if I go in on a Wednesday before lunch I could get in and out pretty quickly. I purchased the lifetime warranty alignment and he said that it would take about 2 hours and as hesitant I was to stay, I waited for my car. I sat in the waiting room and just watched him go. He goes all out trying his best to help each customer as they walk in the door and honestly speaks to them on status of how long the vehicle will take. It would be a 5 star if they had another bay with an alignment machine as it seemed every other customer came in for an alignment. People with appointments still waiting an hour. read more

Went there for wheel alignment and they did the free courtesy check. They recommended to change tires as they were worn out badly. I purchased those tires from another Firestone few years ago and they were still under warranty. I asked them to check if how much prorated value/discount that I can get under the warranty. The employee was about to check that but before that the manager just rudely said that they could not honor warranty on tires as I did not visit them since last two years and went somewhere else for car maintenance. He wanted me to show me all proofs that I got car maintenance done to honor warranty on tires. I never had this kind of experience in Firestone in last 12 years. I think the manager is interested in doing the job only if you visit his shop regularly. Not good! I will never visit this Firestone shop again. After this - I visited another firestone location and they replaced the tires without any questions as they were under warranty and gave me the prorated discounts. read more

I am so sick and tired of this location! I needed to replace a tire and had to go to a Firestone since I have the tire warranty . I was dreading even going to this particular Firestone because I have had nothing but bad experiences at this location but did not really have a choice since it was kind of a tire emergency and this one is closest to my home. Zack was super rude , sarcastic and snotty to me on the phone. Reza is just the same and is incompetent and unable to carry out his job I am more than sure he is also dishonest regarding the current status of a tires condition I have had many encounters with the both of them but this was the icing on the cake! Corporate does not care and will revert you back to a regional manager who then won't ever call you or will call you and tell you to contact corporate ! So insane! The tires are garbage to begin with they constantly bubble through no fault of my own but I continued to go to firestone due to the warranty I purchased and just avoided this store. Save yourself the time, money and hassle avoid this place like the plague! I had a great experience with Nicholas at Firestone in Rancho Bernardo (next to Denny's). I hit a pothole the day before and blew out my tire on a 3-month-old car. Fortunately, Nicholas was able to get me a replacement tire immediately and I was in and out in 90 minutes. I will be back when I need a new set of tires! read more

Went there for a tire repair, they said it was ok, after 30 min they told me it was not reparable and that I had to buy new tires, I just needed 1 and they tries to sell me 2 new tires, so if you go to cotsco the 4 of them will cost you around $550 , these guys tried to charge me $360 for only 2 tires, after I said no thank you, they tried to sell me the credit card... Free check engine light test they advertise is a lie. Check engine light on my dashboard came on after we turned on AC. Our place isn't open on Sundays so we decided to take it here while driving by because there's a sign they have that says "Free Check-Engine Light" test. Cool, I want the codes and get out with what they refer to as free http://www.firestonecompleteautocare.com/repair/engine-repair/diagnostics/ I sit in my car and hubby goes in. Hubby comes back and there's a $99 bill he just paid for the codes. What the?!? They call us later and gives us the codes and what it means over the phone. I had hubby ask the guy, who sounds like he's pulling stuff out of his butt as to the meaning of the codes and who I can hear the responses of, what the free check engine sign was all about outside the shop and he replies it's when they get the codes for you and tell us what it means. Yup, that's what I wanted and he confirmed it was free and that's all he did just now but we were charged $99 fee. To top it off, he says we are in need of new tires and how he has a great deal. Lordy, we just got 4 brand tires from Costco a few months ago. Get out of here! Never again. read more
