I got here at 9:00 am and it's 11:00 a.m. and they're still not done. They did tell me they rotated my tires for free okay... Extremely dissatisfied with my experience here. I came in for an alignment and brake check after having my hub bearing replaced, I was also getting a VSA warning light. They claimed my wheel bearing was installed backwards, which turned out to be completely false. I had another mechanic verify the installation and it was done correctly. Rather than diagnosing the real issue, they gave me false information. I wasted 5 hours of my weekend with nothing to show for it, waste of money. I will not be returning and would not recommend this shop. read more

Would give negative stars if possible. Brought car in for a simple oil change. Early oil change at that, it wasn't even due yet but being a responsible car owner. Get a call just before closing the following day saying the car is ready to be picked up. Get the ca and the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree. This was my first time going to Firestone. First and foremost, they are super friendly great customer service. I called and spoke with Jason who was super friendly and gave me an out the door price of what i was going to spend. Which was AMAZING compared to a few other places i called. I just needed an oil change. While doing the service i was emailed what other things were wrong with the car and the best part, for proof they included pictures. For me that's a big thing because some of these places will try and get over on you. So, the pictures were a big plus for me. My filter was nasty so i went ahead and had them change that too. All in all, great customer service, pricing was great and service was great. I will be back. I appreciate you all so much. I will be going back, and will def refer others. read more

I went to have my tires filled because they were low. However, I was turned away due to the rain, and two vans were blocking the area. The staff was unfriendly and did not provide any customer service. Although this is a free service, their behavior has definitely deterred me from ever spending money at this company. I would prefer to pay for tire filling elsewhere and receive decent treatment rather than being dismissed because they didn't want to be bothered with helping me. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. my car broke down directly in front of this Firestone on a Saturday.. I pushed my vehicle in and trusted I would be able to have my alternator replaced by Tuesday at the latest .. my car is rear engined and has a thumb screw mechanism to hold down the engine cover.. I received little to no communication about any update on the repair my car needed. I had to call to find out anything. today TUESDAY I call and speak to the store manager and he tells me I need to get my car towed to another repair facility as they do not use the vendor who carries my replacement alternator.. my car gets picked up by a tow truck and when I arrived at the next shop to have my car actually repaired I checked my engine cover and notice all of the thumb screws are missing. they are no where to be found. this is dangerous as without these exhaust gases can enter the cabin of my car. I now have to pay $100.00 for replacement thumb screws - but I guess I deserve that since they didn't charge me for diagnosing the problem? I could not be more dissatisfied with a car repair facility. read more

I use Firestone frequently in Tennessee. When I recently came to Florida for a vacation, I noticed on the trip that my air conditioner was not working properly. The last thing I wanted to do was have to get my car fixed on vacation. The employees at Firestone in Sanford were very helpful setting me up with an appointment at a time convenient with my other activities. They were very knowledgeable and fixed the problem. They are within a couple of blocks of the historic section of downtown Sanford with many restaurants, breweries, and shops to visit. My husband and I actually had a good time while waiting on my car! We will now have a comfortable drive back to Tennessee. read more

First off I will probably never give ANY car service company 5 (five) stars just because I despise going to them. We go in for an oil change and *BOOM* before you know it there are other repairs that need to be made. I have been taking my car to this Firestone location on the corner of 1st and French Ave. in downtown Sanford for the last 5 years. The waiting area is always clean with a television, coffee and water. Even the bathrooms are clean of which I am very picky about being a germaphobe. I find the staff there to be friendly and honest. I try to know just enough about my car in case any unsuspected repairs pop up. I also always check their website first for any coupons or special deals. I was accidentally overcharged this time but once I was aware and called them they apologized and instantly refunded the difference. read more

First of all the situation was a dire one i was in immediate repair for lost brakes while on I 4 , this was the nearest repair shop available, i had some major issues that needed tending to and they were repaired, after a cost of 900.00 , only to find out that the neglected to bleed the brake line properly causing the pedal to still go to the floor in order for me to stop . Had they had done it properly the would of know that the valve was stuck and i had no back brakes what so ever. Maybe they should take their time and properly make sure all is working before releasing the vehicle back to the customer. Needless to say i had to drive back to Jacksonville, with no back brakes. read more

Read the tire reveiws BEFORE buying Firestone tires! The new Firestone tires are junk and have NO warranty on them. Do not believe the lies that they tell you when you buy them. I have always used Transforce HT tires on our trucks. I had 75,000 miles on a set of four. Two of the rear tires got nails in them so I decided to replace the two tires. I took the front tires off and put them on the back. They were still in excellent shape with no cupping and had atleast 60% tread left on them. I then put two new HT2 tires on the front. I was assured they were the same quality as the HT's I had on the truck already. Within 7,000 miles the new tires were ruined. Completely cupped, noisy and obviously defective. I was told that the tires were that way because I had a suspension problem. I then told them that the back tires were on the front and they never cupped. I went to Nissan and had it checked because it is still under warranty. They showed me that there is nothing wrong with the suspension. Firestone refuses to honor there tire warranty at the store or through the corporate office. At over $240 a tire installed they should last more than 7,000 miles. They sell junk and do not warranty anything! read more

A few weeks back, my truck broke down and I had to have it towed. My insurance company has a partnership with Firestone and offered to take it here. The vehicle had to be towed on a flat bed because it was four wheel drive. We pulled into the parking lot, and the tow truck driver began to put the truck down. The lady outside said that I needed to go inside, she couldn't help me. When I walked inside, the guy in front just stood there and stared at me. I asked if he could help me, as it wouldn't start. He rudely told me that his "drivability expert" would be gone for a week on vacation, and just shrugged his shoulders at me. This was a Sunday, so no one mentioned this to me 20 minutes earlier when the insurance company called to check if they were open. Plus, this place has huge glass windows, and he could see the tow truck putting my truck down, but waits until it's completely unloaded, and I'm all the way inside before telling me this. While I'm not a mechanic, the fact that I'm bringing it in on flatbed should tell you it's not able to be driven! No courtesy or consideration at all. He was 5 feet from the door, and was perfectly content to sit there and watch me like it was funny. When I asked if he could at least tell me where the next location is, he just shrugged his shoulders again and kept staring. I was so frustrated at this point, I had tell the tow truck driver to put it back on the truck then call the insurance company to take it somewhere else. This Firestone was a terrible experience, and I will never bring my vehicle there again. read more
