Every time I go to this location of Firestone they always mess up. They have done wrong work on my car multiple times. They have were supposed to put new tires on my car which I paid for yet they never put the new tires on my car I still had my old tires on car. I went there with a flat tire and now I just realized I don't have my spare tire instead of them putting it back away they throw out my spare tire. This is not the first time of them getting rid of my good tires. I went there to have them put on my winter tires. My all season tires they were supposed to put back in my car. I made an appointment for first appointment and left my car over night with instructions for what I wanted done. The man didn't seem to pay attention. So I called the next morning to make sure we were on the same page. Later in the afternoon I get an invoice with only some of the work done. I call again and reiterated what I wanted done. He said no problem the car is still on the lift. He gave me a price and I said ok. They call me back another hour or so later and said the work was all done. I get there the work is not done. They said I didn't give them permission. They had my car all day and I talked to them4 times and the work wasn't done! I don't have the freedom to just leave my car in a garage all day and get rides back and forth for the job not to get done. They wanted me to make another appointment! Two terrible visits in a row. This time they scheduled me for 4 pm on New Years. I drove all the way there and they told me they can't take me because they close soon. My fleet vehicle was towed to this location for a flat tire. They kept my truck all day without providing an update. When I went to the shop late in the day my truck was outside still with a flat tire. After waiting 2 hours in the waiting room I had to ask for an update. I was told "your truck will not be ready today". I told them to just put the spare tire on and they replied " there is no spare". Really!!?? Its hanging right under the truck! Another hour later they finally put on my spare. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!! They were rude to everyone who came in, seemed like everything was a problem. Another customer was in tears as she was late for work and her vehicle was 2 hours late getting fixed. Worst experience ever at a tire shop. read more

I made an appointment for an oil change for my car and arrived 15 minutes early. After waiting for 90 minutes, I checked to see whether the car was ready, and was told that they were just pulling it in. I questioned the clerk at the counter who unsympathetically responded by telling me that is what happens when they get busy. The reason I came here was because I had a coupon for a $49.99 full synthetic oil change...and I had an appointment so I wouldn't be wasting my time. Next time there is no doubt that I will spend a little more and go to the 10 minute oil change guys. This is the second poor experience I've had at this Firestone. The first time was for a tire issue for which I also had an appointment. After 2 hours and 10 minutes, the clerk advised me that my car was ready. He apologized and said he understood why I was upset. I told him that I wasn't angry with him, but an oil change is no more than a 10 minute job with the proper equipment. A service technician that happened to be walking by chimed in by stating that this wasn't Jiffy Lube, and they put cars on lifts to service them at Firestone, which automatically requires 45 minutes. I told him that if it takes him 45 minutes to put a car on a lift, it may be time for him to consider a career change. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Complete waste of time. After posting this same review on Google, I got a response from someone named Harley from Firestone who informed me that I would be contacted by a member of upper management within two business days and they valued me as a customer. I never received a call from management which proves to me that they have no interest in working to resolve customer issues. All set with this place! read more

I don't leave a lot of reviews and typically, if I do, it's because of a bad experience. This one is different. Today, I was at work and I noticed a lot of fluid leaking from my car. Rainbow colored fluid. It's a Sunday at 3pm so I was frantically looking for somewhere to check this out. I came to Firestone. They were booked for the day and closing shortly. Clayton could see I was kind of panicked. It came up that I have kids and he said he wanted to make sure I was safe driving. He came out in the pouring rain to check my oil level. Sure enough, there was no oil. Had I tried to drive home, my engine would've seized and I would've been unable to use my brakes or steering wheel. Clayton told me to have a seat and he found the cause and fixed it with a smile on his face. It's gestures like these that don't come often enough. I'll never forget this kind act and I'll recommend this place to everyone. Thank you, Clayton, the world needs more people like you. read more

I set up an appointment online for 10:00 AM on a Saturday to purchase a tire to replace a flat tire. I entered all needed information and intended to purchase one tire. It seemed easy enough. I arrived to be told by the check-in person that my name was in the system (although he called me by the wrong one) but none of my other information was there so we had to do it all again. We did and he told me it would be about an hour. An hour and a half later they hadn't even started the work but he called me back to the work area to tell me that I needed 2 tires not one and it would be about another 20-30 minutes. There was also a discussion that they were going to put the new tires in the back of the car when the damaged one was in the front and some other nonsense etc. I didn't understand this but didn't argue. I checked after 45 minutes and the work still wasn't done but the attitude was on full display. I was getting frustrated but had no choice but to wait as they had the car torn apart. Finally after almost 2 hours and 50 minutes, the car was ready. I was really surprised to learn that they had substituted the tire I had ordered for 2 much more expensive tires and my bill was close to 3 times the amount I was expecting and had planned for. They did not consult me about this change and didn't prepare me for the much larger bill. The work was finally done and I had no choice if I wanted to leave and get on with my day. Overall, I would not the customer service or business practices.. The tires seem ok but the experience was way too much hassle. They can and should do better, read more

When I got back they hadn't even brought my car back, still took them another half hour before they got it, waited another 2 hours for them to do an alignment! 4 hours is ridiculous!! Went to Fireston, Shrewsbury, Ma today. We had a 2:00 appt. that I made on Monday, July 10th. When we got to the shop we were told there would be a 30 minute delay - they were short staffed. We agreed and walked over to Panera for coffee. At 3:40 we walked back over to the Fireston shop. We noticed that our car was still where we had parked it: not good. When we went inside the clerk was waiting on another customer, then he told us they were almost ready to take our car in !!!!!!! A 1 hr. 45 minutes later and the work still had to be done (another 1hour - 1 hour 15 minutes !!!!! Three hours for a tire alignment with an appt.!!!!! And, no apology - just they're short staffed - I asked why they did not call us? Nothing..... And this is a service that we paid for......maybe that's why we were pushed off.....makes me wonder....we'll try Leominster, MA - but after that I'll go beyond that. I booked a reservation online for 9am to get two tires replaced. When I arrived they told me they don't have those tires in stock and said booking online doesn't mean they have what you put in your cart in store. He called the closest Firestone and they had the right size, he asked if he could send me down and they said yes. It was totally a nightmare changing tires here. I had 4 tires changed here. After getting my car, I had a test drive in the parking lot in the back of their workshop for 1 minute, then I stopped and checked the tires. I found something (see the photo) already poked into my brand new tire. I talked with the service manager, but he said that it was not in the tire when they installed it. He guessed that it might poke into the tire when they pulled back the car into the parking lot, and he claimed that there are a lot of trash in the parking lot. I really doubt that. The thing poked into the tire is not a common trash, but something more often showing up in a car workshop. Now I don't have any trust in them, and can not exclude the possibility that they intentionally sold the faulty tire to me, a girl who doesn't have a lot of knowledge about car. I requested to replace this tire with a new one, and they refused, saying that the poke didn't go through the tire. DON'T BUY TIRES from them. And if you do receive services from them, check your car carefully in the presence of the staff, otherwise, they will just push all the responsibility to the customers. I even made an appointment over the phone and showed up on time. I understand things are tough and everywhere is short staffed, but at least give the customer a more realistic expectation of timing. Hello I am a healthcare worker and the other day I had a popped tire . I was hoping I could get it repaired or purchase a new one. I managed to get a ride from my car there. Easily a 10 minute job ... before I could even open my mouth I was told by a worker sitting at a computer they didn't have time( while they were on there personal phone...) I understand there is a labor shortage but the lack of compassion/ kindness was shocking . Could of been a lot kinder with his answer. Horrible customer service . The staff was polite and answered all of my questions, they told me the wait would be 20 mins + 30 for the service. I got some food and 40 minutes later they called me to tell me that they found the leak and fixed the tire. $20 for the service and peace of mind. read more

Memphis TN Austin Peay hwy I was approved for credit was told it would be hour in a half for 2 tires and wheel alignment I had an appointment for 11:30 was 15 minutes early I had to wait 5 hours until they were done the manager had to tell the mechanics to work they were talking out back while myself and 4 other customers were waiting for our vehicles. I went here a few months ago after calling over the phone to make an appointment. I waited 3 hours despite having an appointment for an oil change. Today, I made another scheduled appointment for 1:00pm. At 2:30, I went to the front to ask how much longer and I was told "they just pulled it in now." The manager offered to give me a free oil change for the inconvenience. I find it disappointing that I've been here twice, months apart, and experienced a nearly 3 hour wait each time I've had an appointment for a simple oil change. I wish they would make a better effort at fixing this issue because a free oil change won't make me a returning customer. read more

I had a coupon for a $16.99 oil change which was supposed to included a free tire rotation- they didn't do that. I brought my car in because the blinkers weren't working, they "fixed" a switch and did it for free (only costs a few cents) but my turn signals still aren't working. Needless to say I won't be bringing my car back here. The service was pretty fast and everyone of the employees I spoke to was nice and friendly, so I give them a two star rating. read more

I came to Firestone at this location for a slow leak it a rear tire and needed a tire rotation. I've come here for another car that needed some repair work on sprayers for the windshield solution. At first they thought it was the spraying pump which would have cost a couple hundred dollars to repair. Once they took it a part, they found that there was only a broken fitting and just under 20 bucks to repair. They called and told me the good news. They demonstrated honesty and that spoke volumes. My goodness. Ok so first off its been a ffew months since I have last visited there. I recently needed further service to my car and I though about coming back to firestone, but then remembered why I wont. During my last few vistis to the newly rebuilt location at White City in Shrewsbury, I can't tell you how long I waited to get SIMPLE services done, with or without a scheduled appointment. Oil change - minimum 1.5 hr wait in the winter time. Tire change and sensor replacement - 4 hours (2 stinking tires) and expensive as hell to boot- $117 for the sensor. OUCH. I got especially unlucky when a cocky af younger gentleman waited on me and pressured - i mean PRESSURED me into applying for the credit card - even after I told him my credit was so bad I couldn't get 10 cents to put cheese on a whopper. - did the lengthy application and then surprise was instantly denied! no apology just "better luck next time".. ugh. that rubbed me so the wrong way. Other occasions I was met with the same friendly, outgoing and borderline stupendous customer service - but the last visit was the last straw. Another lengthy wait to get my tire replaced after a recent flat. The entire time I waited I could hear the manager or assistant manager talking about a recent convention in Vegas that he attended for the company's top performing managers. He then went on and on about the pressure the company places upon them and that his boss, is in love with him, its the highest grossing store in the country etc etc. At time to pay, he even honored a discount coupon I brought in, but wasn't applicable. I Pay, get the receipt, and before he hands it to me to sign, he asks me in the most creepy way - with a whole backstory " Listen my boss, he's a real hard ass even though we do so well here, he said I'd be eligible for an award / praise if I got at least 15 people to submit a positive review of our service - here's the phone number, reference codes, my name, card, and here's detailed instructions of how to call in and do it ...." I was a bit surprised, but agreed to do it when I got around to it. His response ? " Well see the thing is I need to be done tonight for it to be eligible, so I'd really appreciate it if you could stay a few mins or do it RIGHT when you get home." I grabbed the receipt and just stared at him like he was spawning 2 heads - 1 named greed and the other hypocrisy. Never had a problem with service or products purchased here but I really don't think I can go back after that. Screaming fan! I've had my car serviced here over a couple of years and every time I am surprised by how quick these folks are, how pleasant the staff is and to be honest my wallet appreciates the extra love too. My Killa Camry was in dire need of a transmission fluid change. They nicely explained to me that they would need to test drive it before changing the fluid because of any pre-existing conditions that could be harmful to change the fluid. I appreciate that since it really could have been a much worse issue. Got my nails done across the street and when I came back my car was ready to be picked up! The cost was also much lower than what I was quoted. I certainly wasn't complaining but I asked why. Apparently other companies (usually other chain companies like Firestone) will put an additive into the transmission fluid based upon the make and model of the car. My technician went to Toyota (physically went to a dealership) and got the factory additive for my car that actually ended up costing less. That transmission fluid change at a Toyota dealership would have easily been $400, but here was less than half that cost. A+ for customer service I will most certainly be back! read more

When driving home from out of town south bound on 495 while trailering my boat the trailer got a flat tire. I called the service team and one of the members told me I could have the boat and trailer towed to their location they would order the tires, have them the next day, do the repair, and I'd be all set. Next day I get a phone call from a team member informing me they cannot take the trailer into a bay due to the boat being with it (which was explained when we spoke with the first associate), and they would not work on it in the lot. I asked if I could take the tire off and just have it mounted and then put it on myself in the lot, to which the associate replied, "sure". He called me back 40 minutes later and said I am not able to do anything in the parking lot to my own boat. I have to get the boat off the trailer and bring it back (WITH A FLAT TIRE... UMM HOW? I already paid to tow it there) So I spoke with the manager who rudely explained that he, "already spoke with my husband or boyfriend who ever he is" and now decided that I cannot do anything in the parking lot. My options were either get it towed again somewhere else, move the boat off of the trailer while in the parking lot, or go to another parking lot to remove the tire bring the rim back and have the tire mounted, and then go back to the boat in this other parking lot and fix it there.. When I told him that was ABSURD he started yelling so I yelled back to stop yelling at me, and he hung up the phone. I have never been given such an attitude or been disrespected from a business as I have this company I WOULD NEVER DO BUISNESS WITH THEM AGAIN! If I could give them no stars I would! My husband and I took the tire off in the Firestone parking lot brought it 5 minutes down the road to Pete's tire barn they fixed it in 5 minutes. We went back changed the tire and then brought the boat and trailer back to Pete's were they changed the rest of our tires out with the boat on the trailer in about 25 minutes and we were on our way. I made an 8AM appointment three days in advance for specific tires, got prices, etc. I re-arrange my morning, show up at 8 and am told they don't have those tires, and what they have is 75% more expensive. No one checked upcoming appointments and inventory - let alone let the customer know the night/day before they didn't have the tires. After a previous experience at another location I was very hesitant to try Firestone again but I had a gift card and needed some work done so I figured I'd try again but a different location & a different way. I purchased the tires at TireRack & had them shipped to the location which only took 2 days. I also had additional services, beyond the tire installation, that I knew was needed and the price quoted by Luis seemed competitive and fair. The work was completed quickly & professionally for the price quoted. No fuss or problems, communication was good & I will be back to this location again. I took my car there with a coupon for a standard oil change for $14.99. I'm currently disabled without any income so with money being tight for me this seemed like a good opportunity to get the much needed maintenance done on my car. After over a hour and a couple of failed attempts to upsell me on "necessary" maintenence, my car was finally done. The bill totalled over $44. They did maintenance to my car that I didn't need and charged me not only for that but also for the disposal of the old filter, the oil, the new filter, and labor. I'm not sure what they think an oil change consists of but as someone who used to do their own it's fairly simple and includes disposal of the old filter, installation of the new filter, and adding the oil. That is the oil change. What are you charging $14.99 for when on top of that you're charging for all the things that make up an oil change??? I stated my concern which was met with a bunch of mumble jumble. I had to leave because I had an appointment to get to so I just had to pay on the spot and will have to resolve the rest of it later. I could've brought my car where I normally do, not had people try to use scare tactics on me for unnecessary maintenance, had it done faster, and for less money. I'm beyond upset and am telling everyone of my experience so I can save them from the hassle. read more

Had my 2006 Jeep Wrangler wheels aligned. Did not go well. I called my local Firestone shop, the manager answered and I gave him a rundown of my situation, he told me come on in and that their guys are really good, that they'd be able to fix my jeep . Told them I had installed some aftermarket parts (track bar to fix steering wobble and 2 inch spacers to make track bar fit) and said that I believed it may need more work. They aligned the wheels and afterward, the first hard turn the Jeep took, it was apparent there was a broken part. I get it on the highway and it wont go over 55 without losing control. I didn't even bother to call them back. It was apparent to me that their mechanic wasn't going to be able to handle this. I took it to C&R tire and they found the track bar needed to be re centered and tightened. 2 days later, I decided to give Firestone another shot with my 1999 chevy express van front end alignment, I made a 7am online appointment from my home computer (made appointment at 7pm the previous night). Checked the box saying I'd wait with the vehicle, I get there and they tell me that the systems aren't connected and i'd have to leave the vehicle all day. Why would you have an online appointment system that cannot connect with your store database? I drove a half hour each way to get to their shop when they could have called me and said there was a problem with the scheduling. Firestone needs to get their act together. Incompetent or grossly negligent. Stay away. Failed to follow OEM procedures on steering box repair of truck with hydro-boost brakes. Failed to fill steering fluid and properly bleed pump. Shop disregarded customer's complaint of steering whine until customer requested thorough inspection. Pump failed during test drive resulting in failure of power steering and hydro-boosted power brakes. Service manager admitted technician was unfamiliar with power steering and hydro-boost system and recommended Firestone tow to Ford for repair. Manager refused request and asked service manager to bleed steering after pump failure. No luck. Shop refused to repair. Customer towed vehicle elsewhere for repair. Diagnosis: premature pump failure due to fluid starvation (not filled properly nor bled). Demand letter sent to Firestone Shrewsbury, filed complaint with attorney general, filed complaint with BBB, filed complaint with Channel Five News. Resolution pending. read more

Honestly, I am really not a review writing type of a person. But, sometimes, an incident happens with you which might hurt you to such an extent that you might be forced to write one. It seems like a duty to inform the society that please be careful of such incidents and businesses in your town. The incident which happened with me today (06/23/2014) at Firestone-Shrewsbury garage deserves such a reporting to the community. Firestone is issuing a $16.99 coupon for oil change and tire rotation at the back of many shopping receipts (expiring July 31, 2013). I have been regularly taking my car at that store and found this as a good opportunity to use the coupon and save some dollars. The person in the counter (I intentionally don't want to take his name for his job security) informed me that the coupon has been applied while preparing my work order for oil change and including taxes and disposable fee it's US$23.68 (including taxes ($1.19) and disposable fees extra($2.50)) (Customer Invoice Number:165499). Quite surprised, I asked him again whether he had applied the coupon since in my calculations it should be around $20.00 and he confirmed he did apply the coupon. After making the payment and taking the key, I came out of the store and when I checked the detailed bill - it was amply clear that he didn't apply the coupon and charged me much more for the job. I went back and enquired about it. His initial response is: "Hey- you came back just for a dollar!!" First of all, it's not a question of a dollar but more than a few dollars. Secondly, even, if it's a dollar, why shouldn't I? It's your store's advertised price. You are overcharging me and instead of apologizing or saying sorry you are making a fun of me since I came back for something which is completely your mistake. Then, on being pointed out that it's something more than a dollar, I am told: "Were you expecting a free oil change. We can't give you one." Did I ever mention to you that I came to your store for a free service and I don't have the ability to pay for it? I know that I don't appear to look like a typical rich customer you might have wanted me to look like or serve to. But when I came to your store, I can confirm you through this review that I have had the ability to pay for the service I am taking from your store. I am really feeling insulted today on the way Firestone Garage -Shrewsbury (Store# 006521) treated me. I am not an expert on car technicalities, so I am not in a position to comment on the expertise of the mechanics. But, I am sure they are good since I never had any problem with my car after repairing it from that location. But, honestly - this is the last time in my life I am visiting your store.
