I can not thank Firestone enough! Last weekend I busted my tire in Worcester and I did not know where to go for tire repair. My busted tire was also stuck because of rust. Firestone was closing in 30 minutes so I called and let them know I needed assistance but I was stuck. During the whole thing of me attempting to remove my busted tire with help from friends, I called Firestone constantly and they gave me good advice. I ended up going into Firestone an hour an 30 minutes after and they had waited for me. They worked on my tire immediately. The repair price was also reasonable. My car had rumbling sound and I brought my car to Firestone. They asked me to change struts, shocks, tires, etc. which was $2,308 including tax. Wow, I said I would discuss with my wife and took it back. But I still had to pay $22 for vehicle inspection. After that I brought my car to two different dealers. They said "no issues for struts, shocks or wheel bearing. Just change tires". So, I went to BJ's to install new tires. The rumbling sounds is gone. Either Firestone has no idea what they are doing or tried to rip me off. After new tire installment I went to Firestone for 4 wheel alignment but they only did front wheel alignment. They said they did front alignment and only checked rear wheel. What they were saying was due to hard mount they couldn't fix rear. In that case why they even tell customers 4 wheel alignment and charged for 4 wheel alignment. I thought 4 wheel alignment takes an hour or so. I watched my car all the time in Firestone. It took less than 10 minutes. $85 for less than 10 minutes??? I trusted Firestone before, and fix my car and my wife's car several times. We both will not go back to Firestone again. By the way, I will bring the printed alignment to the dealer to check how Firestone did their job. If it is not right I may report to BBB. read more

Had a nail in my tire that a nice man pushed in and the patched for me. Then brought it here to get my tire dismounted to get the nail out and they did it all for free and right away even though they were already booked with appointments for the day. My first time there--called Sunday morning in advance of snowstorm, --employee quickly confirmed four Firestone *winter force* tires in stock that fit my vehicle, and gave me a quote that held at time of purchase. Job completed in an hour and fifteen minutes-- four new tires balanced and aligned, price reasonable, the alignment was only $60 with the store promotion. This store is much better than my last experience at the Auburn store. Luis and Adam were great, and I don't know the names of everyone else but they were all very professional, very courteous and explained everything every step of the way. The store is clean and modern and even though I had a long wait for my services, I was very comfortable. They worked with me to make sure I knew and I could choose which services were the priority and which ones I could return for later. Luckily, I was able to get it all done in one afternoon (tires and brakes, nothing unusual.) They were very fair price wise, and so easy to talk that I cannot be more pleased with the customer service. I will definitely be returning to this store for additional services. Usually pretty reliable. Been customer for over 6 years and probably spent close to 10K with them on various services. Dropped my car off for an oil change today at 9:30am and at 3:30pm called to see if my car is ready and was told they have not got to it yet. "It May get done today or tomorrow" I am told. Not even sure if it will get done today....an oil change. They literally have no plan for my car and I was told specifically by them Friday not to make an appointment if I was dropping off. I am extremely disappointed and may be finding a new service company after this. The staff used to be good but now I am unsure. read more

They sent me home with 4 improperly-inflated tires, assuring me "they will adjust as you drive home." Now I get to drive to the gas station and pay money to properly inflate them myself. Correct tire pressure is the most basic service I would expect a TIRE STORE to handle properly and they blew it. I was a first time customer and I'll never go back. read more

I would give this business negative stars if I could. Some months ago I was an innocent babe in the world of mechanics, with my first car leaking fuel and never having been to an auto shop. If I had only known then what I know now, that you could call around after getting the estimate first. I still get mad, even months later, thinking about how naive I was and how I didn't shop around until asking around later. We all know mechanics shops are hit or miss, with many places overcharging or selling you parts you don't need, given the lack of oversight and inability of consumers to know what repairs are needed or not. However, this place in particular, the FIRESTONE near WHITE CITY is absolutely CRIMINAL. I can't get over how I was charged SIX HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS to get my fuel tank changed (I later learned could have had it done for 200) and $600 for a simple battery and alternator change!!!!!!!!!!!! If there was anything else I could do, I would do it. These guys are 21st century highway robbers. read more

I really, really needed tires. Seriously. And I needed them done before my client came to my house (all the way across town, of course) for a dog walk/ lessons in obedience. And of course, since I deal exclusively with larger breeds and serious behavioral problems, they were coming from a distance to meet with me. So I needed the tires to be put on fast, and I needed an alignment, and I essentially walked in and asked "Can you make me your priority?" and they did. I was out of there in record time, and they went out of their way to get me on my way. And when it looked like I'd need a part to get an alignment? They made me safe to drive, and set me an appointment to come back for the other part of the work. No ifs, ands or buts about it - I was taken care of completely. Oh... and it was cheaper than I thought it would be.. Which is like... 15 different kinds of awesome. Oh...and did I mention? this was the Sunday before Thanksgiving. read more

I went in for an oil change because they had a sign that said it was only $16.99 and it was within walking distance of my work. They oil change was fine, but when I picked up the car the guy told me that I needed all new tires (I did actually need to replace one because there was a bubble), the other tires were fine. Then he went on to say that my back brakes including the rotors needed to be replaced. He said that they were wearing unevenly and that the back passenger side caliper was "going to lock up any second". I started freaking out because I had just had ALL of my brakes, calipers, rotors, and pads, replaced 9 months ago. I immediately took my car to the place where I had the brakes done and had them check the back brakes and show them to me. They were perfectly fine, not even close to needing to be replaced. How is it not illegal for mechanics to flat out lie to you about what's wrong with your car? I realize I'm a young girl who knows next to nothing about cars, but that doesn't mean that I should be taken advantage of. Long story short, they gave me a list with over $800 of repairs that I should have done. I bought a tire (from somewhere else) for $130 and that's all I needed. And I made an account on yelp just so that I could post this, I honestly also thought about standing outside and telling people going in there what kind of place it was. read more

I used to come to this place all the time years ago. It took me many years and thousands of dollars to realize how much I've been ripped off. The worst one was making me wait 1.5 hours each time I had an oil change, or making me wait for over 3 hours to check on my breaks. After that, I left and never came back. These guys are sleazy - I had a coupon for a tire rotation and when I got the car back they hadn't rotated my tires but had charged me for it. As someone who knows nothing about cars, I wasn't aware that I should mark them before bringing them in - and now I have to buy new tires after only 25k miles on them because the front ones are worn down. While I could chalk it up to negligence or just a mistake on their part, after reading other reviews about them, I'm quite sure it wasn't. At this point I guess it doesn't matter, I'll be taking my car elsewhere in the future. Too bad, I live right next door, it was super convenient. Dropped my car off without an appointment around 8:30 am. Was told early afternoon and they would call me. At 3:40 I finally called and was told they had forgotten to call me but my car was done. The last time I'd brought my car in for an oil change, the mechanic told me I had a whole host of issues to correct. Thanked him but didn't plan on making any changes. This time, after having no other repairs done, I was told car looked fine. No issues except my battery which tested low. Have not had any problems prior to this but was warned that if I had problems starting my car, that would be it. Sure enough the next day, car is hesitant to start--the first it's been slow to start and after I was warned I needed a new battery which they quoted at $157. I'm hesitant to take my car back to that particular firestone after having been a loyal Firestone customer in my past hometown. The pricing is also never consistent. Was told I could use a coupon for $15 off my oil change, though I was charged $10 more than my past oil change. I called and asked for what the cost of the same oil change and was quoted just $8 more than I paid. read more

I went into the store to inquire about the cost of an oil change. I was told the price was $19.95 plus tax, and told when I asked about tire rotation, and was told there was no extra charge for that. When I mentioned that the vehicle I drive taked 7 quarts of oil, and asked what the extra charge for the oil would be, I was told there was no charge for the extra quarts of oil. I scheduled the appointment. When I showed up for the oil change and tire rotation, I was shown that the vehicle also needed brake pads and rotors all around, and that the ball joints were in dire need of replacement. I declined the additional service at that time, and when I went to pay for the oil change / tire rotation service, the bill came to $41.99. Not only did they use a higher grade synthetic oil but charged me an additional $8.99 for the extra oil. That would have been alright by me IF I was informed ahead of time. That price is still better than crawling under my vehicle and having to do the work and dispose of the oil myself. As for the additional repairs I was told I needed, I went to speak with a person I know whom I trust when it comes to my car repairs, and he told me that the brakes did indeed need replacement, but the ball joints were fine. The cost of the repairs according to the people at Firestone would be $2700. I know the place is a BUSINESS, and they are in the business to make money, BUT, the mechanic I know that did the actual repairs and also replaced the brake calipers which was not mentioned by the person at Firestone came to just about $400 including labor. read more

If only I could give this place 0 stars!! I came to visit family yesterday and my caliper froze on one of my brakes. My father told me to take it to Firestone so I did. They wanted $1300 to do all my brakes and fix calipers. $660 for the brakes alone, despite a coupon they had for $89.99 per axle. I have a 1996 Mustang, my car definitely qualified. I thought of my mechanic when I lived up here Aaron from AMP Motors, which I should have probably done in the first place. I called him up and he fixed everything with great parts and for half the price. Firestone is a joke. They have way too much overhead to give you fair pricing. read more

Mike worked as hard as he could to keep the costs low. it took longer than expected becuase of a jammed part, and I had to go on travel the whole next week. He said no problem and got me rental for the full week at no cost even though the car was only delayed one day. The price for a replacement tire for our spare was $130 quoted instore when the online price showed $70. Not happy that the online price drew us in to the store and then we were told $130 was the best price. The tire guy then said we could go down the street to find a used tire. Very rude suggestion. For a 195/60 R15 ...single tire...that was overpriced when quoting "their best priced tire". When we suggested that was high, being told to go down the street for a used tire was rude. This is the most dishonest tire place I have ever taken my car to. I asked my girlfriend and mother to take my car in to inspect a small leak while I worked . I was informed that a screw was placed on the shoulder of the tire and it was not repairable. I was told the tire could not be repaired and that I needed to purchase 4 new tires. I decided to get a second opinion and took the car to BJ's where I was shown that the screw was in the thread and easily patched. I decided to send my daughter to get tires from here because she needed new tires and this place was nearby her home. As a paramedic, She doesn't make a lot of money but because this winter is predicted to be worse than last and because her new job is a 100 mile roundtrip commute and the lease on her apt isn't up until spring, I insisted on giving her some extra money to be sure she got good winter tires. We got an online quote for the tires at Firestone Auto Care in Shrewsbury. The quote included an item they called TPMS valve service kit at 28.00 and a TPMS valve service kit labor at $11.96. They did charge the $11.96 for TPMS Valve Service Kit Labor but they charged $27.86 each for something called Road Hazard Protection, $111.44 in total. There is nothing on the bill for the TPMS valve service kit. The quote also says Wheel Alignment check is free but they charged $84.99 for the wheel alignment which we have always gotten a free wheel alignment when we purchased 4 tires back in our hometown. THEN on top of that, they charged another $140.00 for Labor to install the tires which was not included in the quote but also not specifically excluded in the quote! One expects a quote to include labor...No? She paid it but understand now that she need to do a better job at advocating for herself. They saw a very young and shy female who came in alone and decided they could rip her off and they did. She still needs new tires in the spring but I think this time she'll be coming home for those. read more
