First visit at this location 2 years ago, in and out promptly for service; this weeks visit = after 55 min., not even on the lift. Pleasant employees, but way deep in the weeds. This is the second experience in a month at a Firestone location with significant delays, or lost appointments. Dear Firestone: After 7 sets of Firestone tires on 3 vehicles in 9 years, Goodyear is going to get a crack at this business soon if you don't get your act together. Update-- i come to Firestone for my regular car checkups, at least five routine visits since i moved to Fargo in 2020. They correctly diagnosed my wheels as having low tread depth, recommended appropriate tires for my car, and thanks to their recommendation and help I now can accelerate and decelerate on snowy days much better! I found myself at the Firestone Complete Auto Care in West Fargo on a Sunday due to an emergency situation with my vehicle en route from Bismark to Minneapolis. I was stressed and flustered but Angel, the Sales and Service Specialist working the front desk, helped me problem solve a solution to my vehicle's issue. In the time that I spent in the lobby I observed Angel demonstrating not only extensive knowledge of numerous car issues but also kindness and compassion for the customers. She was a bright spot in an otherwise dark situation. Thanks to her, I was able to her home safely. I just had maybe the best car maintenance experience of my life. I went in for an oil change and new windshield wipers. I left, paying only for an oil change, new windshield wipers and a brake light bulb replacement (because I asked them to replace, even though I'm aware I could go buy one and replace myself for less $$. But, my time is $$ too). Anyway, they did a comprehensive check (I inherited the car in the summer and hadn't done one yet..) and found a few things that I should be aware of. Not emergencies, just providing information on the status of my vehicle and helpful hints like "When your vehicle starts doing X, you'll want to come in and get Y looked at." No pressure selling, just providing education based on their expertise. The waiting area was very nice with comfortable seating, beverages, tv and wi-fi. read more

Brought in 2012 Jeep Patriot to Firestone in West Fargo, North Dakota to have back tires moved to front and an oil change. I had measured the tread on all tires and knew the back ones were deeper so wanted those on the front. After getting the vehicle back the tires were the same as before. They were not rotated. Then, the other day check the sticker on windshield for the next service due and see the old sticker is still there. So, I check the oil and sure enough it's extremely dirty for an oil change done 30-40 days ago. I've been driving a different vehicle for the most part so it's not like the Jeep was pounded with miles to get the oil that dirty. Called the local Firestone back and let them know what's up. Was reimbursed for the tire rotation however want me to come back in for fresh oil. At this point, I don't trust that it will get done along with the fact that who knows if there won't be some other back stabbing garbage to my vehicle in retribution. I went to Firestone thinking it would be above Jiffy Lube. At least at Jiffy Lube, I KNOW my vehicle is getting done what I asked. Not a good look for Firestone. read more

I brought my Jeep in there to get my heater fixed and they were awesome. The waiting area seemed to always be moving which told me when I got there that they are a busy place but that people aren't waiting too long. I was right. They had to flush out my heater core, which I don't know a thing about but know that it was freezing in my car and now it isn't. I didn't have to wait long at all. It wasn't too expensive either and the staff I spoke to very friendly. I highly recommend this place if you need work done or new tires. read more

They were super helpful and it's clean & pleasant inside. There was a very angry customer being helped by employee near us. The employee stayed calm and pleasant and very clearly explained the guys options and why those were his options and the guy did not want to hear it just wanted his way and the employee said he can go somewhere else but the guy was just determined to be difficult. But I was impressed that the employee stayed so polite. And the employee helping us did not make me feel bad for shamelessly listening in on the angry guy making a ridiculous scene read more

I came to this firestone around 2:02 PM today and asked the person at the desk (probably in his late 50s early 60s)how long an alignment would take. He said it would probably take around 45 minutes. Which is what I needed because I had to travel an hour to go to work in another city. What ended up happening is my car was never looked out for the next 40 minutes...It's possible that my mistake was mentioning that I had a lifetime warranty for the alignment... because at that point they knew they weren't making any money off me. But I will try to give them the benefit of the doubt in regards to that and not assume that was what was happening. Next time I will drop off my car there and it'll be on them if my car makes prospective customers think that they're too busy to take care how many cars because of their packed parking lot. Had oil change. Weren't told it needed a new plug and within a few miles the plug came out, so did the oil. Didn't know anything had happened until the engine quit. They are refusing to admit their actions caused damage. I wouldn't let them work on a child's tricycle after this episode. A follow up: It seems the acting manager was in over his head with this situation. Mark (the manager) worked with us to come up with an agreeable resolution. In my opinion he made the best of a mutually unpleasant situation for both our vehicle and the business he manages. We will probably not use them for repairs or oil changes in the future. It's the "once bitten twice shy" syndrome. read more

All 4 rims got scratched during a tire install!! I came here as I ordered tires from tirerack.com and this was their recommended installer so I could ship to them for free. The shop installed the tires the next day but to my surprise when I got home all 4 of my 20 inch painted rims had huge scratches going around the edge of the rim right next to where the rim meets the tire. It is lain as day to see that their mounting machine did this. All 4 rims have the exact same perfectly curved scratches that follow the edge of the rim. I brought my truck back to the shop within an hour of leaving, and talked with the store manager. He basically said "Yes I see these are fresh and something happened but he would never admit that his shop did it. Yet in the same breathe he asks me what he can do to make it right. So without admitting guilt he pretty much admits that it;'s the shops fault but never once offers to submit it to the companies insurance. Being that I knew I was on the losing end of proving that they did it, I asked him what he could do. He offered to fix another tire issue I had on my wife's car for free and also said he could probably buff a lot of the scratches out himself, being a car guy. I reluctantly agreed since I knew he wasn't going to actually replace or fix my rims, I figured I'd take what I could get. I had an appointment to meet him the next day to drop off my wife's car. I show up at the time we agreed upon and he is not there, I talked to another employee who admitted he knew of my situation but without the manager there, they couldn't do any of the work for free. The manager never bothered to call me to let me know he wouldn't be there and so I left almost as angry as I was the day before. I had plans to be out of town so I figured I'd contact him again the next week, or wait to see if he reached out to me, he never did and I slowly came to the realization that this company had screwed me over and had no intentions of fixing what they had done, so my only retort is to review them as poorly as I can, everywhere I can. I hope someone sees my review and goes elsewhere saving themselves the headache and possible property damage that I've come to know goes along with the Firestone name, I will never visit a Firestone again anywhere. read more

I brought my car in for a oil change and to have my winter tires put on and was sitting at JL Beers waiting and it had been an hour and car was still not in. I called and asked if they were running behind and he said no why? I said my name was Holly and he said the ticket wasn't up there so they must be working on it. I told him that wasn't possible because my car was still outside. They sent someone right out to get it after that. I noticed the next morning the oil sticker wasn't changed so I called them. The guy who said he was a manager said there wasn't an oil change done. I will not be going back and I want to make sure everyone knows what kind of service I received. The guy didn't apologize or anything. I also know mistakes happen so even when I called and the oil change didn't get on there when I showed up and said why I was there or when I called in an hour later and repeated why I was there they should have caught it. Absolutely terrible service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I took my car in for a simple replacement of a single tire and had them rotate the tires at the same time. They found a leak in the damaged tire and quoted me a reasonable price to replace it. Tire went on, paid my bill, and headed home. Exactly 48 hours later I noticed an odd sound coming from the wheel they had installed the new tire on. I pulled over, took a look, and noticed the valve stem cap was almost off -- not a big deal. I screwed it on and decided to drive slowly the five miles home and take a look at it in my home shop. At home, I took a tire iron to the first lug nut on the troublesome wheel and noticed it could be taken off with my fingers. I took two more lug nuts off with just my fingers and a fourth came off without even a push on the tire iron. In other words, only one of my lug nuts was actually hanging onto my front wheel -- three weren't even finger tight! If that single stud would have snapped, I could have been a goner. As a tire shop, it just seemed like a no-brainer that they'd know/remember to tighten the lugs on my wheels! I found one more lug nut that could be unscrewed with only my fingers on the other front wheel. Even one loose lug nut is unacceptable, but this?! I called the shop and talked to their manager, Mark. He offered that I could take my car in so they could inspect it, both to ensure there wasn't any damage from the loose tire and because they "don't know what would cause that. Maybe there's rust behind your wheel, something's bent, we don't know." I told him that I'd trust myself tightening my wheels more than their shop. In the end Mark admitted they made a mistake, but "What do you want us to do?" I suggested they talk to the tech who worked on my car but that was the best they could do. They also offered the inspection free of charge. I didn't take them up on that. The job I paid them to do actually required me checking all of my lug nuts, jacking up my car, taking off the problem wheel, inspecting it for damage, and putting on the wheel. Mark did offer that I could take my car in and they could make sure all lug nuts were properly torqued. I almost laughed. Bottom line, this shop specializes in selling and installing tires. They really blew it on this one. read more

I rolled in with a completely flat tire. They were busy, but I was helped almost immediately. He gave me options, rather then just pushing me into a new full set (which I purchased anyway). The cost was very reasonable, and they got me back on the road in less than 2 hours! A smooth operation, very professional and courteous. read more

My wife and I were passing through and needs a tire replaced and an oil change. She arrived at 0710 and didn't get done until roughly 0930. Over two hours for one tire and a 6 quart oil change, that's awful! I could've done same on a HUMMV in 45 minutes and I don't have power tools or a hydraulic lift in the Army like these jokers do. read more

They were able to re-activate my firestone credit card, an account I closed years ago, and used it to pay for my $340 bill. For that money, I got my heater core flushed, radiator fluid replaced, thermostat removed and replaced...everything necessary to make my heater work again properly in my 2001 Chevy Blazer...and now it is running like a top as far as the heater goes, which is awesome in zero degree weather. I am very pleased they were even able to schedule me with one day notice during busy season. Friendly professional staff. I am going back to get some new tires:) read more

I brought my vehicle in for 4 tires and was quoted about $550. They informed me that a tierod needed to be replaced and gave me a quote on that. I agreed but when I went to pick up my vehicle, the bill, which should have been under $800, based on the quotes that I received, totaled over $1200. I called around to different tire stores and found out that I was over charged at least $200 on a front outer tie rod replacement and alignment. And the total that I was charged for the tires was much higher than I was quoted. Be careful when you get anything done there and double check your bill before you pay. $200 for an alignment is outrageous when every place else (Fargo Tire, OK Tire, Tires Plus, among others) is about 1/4 that price. I will never bring a vehicle there again. read more

I was traveling with a camper through the area and had a tire blowout on the camper about 25 miles west of Fargo. My parents were following me as we just came from a family reunion, so I left my wife and 3 dogs with the camper while we loaded up the wheel into my parents car. I brought the wheel into Firestone and they had 2 people waiting in the lobby area. No-one in line. I waited by the counter for about 10 minutes while I watched 3 workers standing by the service counter in the shop talking. When someone finally came in and asked what they could do for me, I told him what happened and asked if he had time to change out a tire on the rim. He told me no, they were too busy and didn't have time. He sent me down the road to Tires Plus since he told me they usually weren't "as busy". I walk into Tires Plus and the place is as busy as can be. A few waiting in lobby and 3 people in line. When it came my turn, I told the worker what had happened, he checked to make sure he had a tire in stock and told me he did and would get right on it. From the time the worker first talked to me to when I was walking out of there it was 11 MINUTES. And the price was even better. I wish I would've read reviews before I walked into that sorry excuse of a business called FIRESTONE. I will never go there again or recommend it to anyone. I understand you may be "busy" but to take 11 minutes to change out a tire and make easy money is a no brainer. You need to teach your workers about customer service. read more

We purchased tired in November and blew out a time on a Saturday afternoon about 30 minutes or so outside of Fargo. After getting the spare tire on, I called Firestone at around 5 pm, an hour before they closed and explained what happened, that we lived 45 minutes from town and that we needed to get a new one under Road Hazard. The gentleman that answered the phone told me that they would not be able to replace the tire that night because they had too much to do before the store closed. We arrived at the store about 20 - 30 minutes before the store closed and there was one vehicle in the shop and nobody in the waiting room. We were informed that they did not have the tire in stock and they would have to pick it up at the warehouse. We would have to come back the following day. I asked if he could at least balance the full size spare tire so we would not be doing any damage to the vehicle, driving over 100 miles with a tire unbalanced. He told me that he couldn't do it that night. I used to work at another local tire store and I know that if someone would tell the salesman that they were from out of town, they would make every effort to help them, even if it meant staying past closing time. Obviously the guy that 'helped' us doesn't understand customer service and living out of town. We will not be bringing any of our vehicles back there except for the service ($200 lifetime alignment that we didn't want) that has already been paid for. read more
