Had a issue with a leaking front differential on a Tacoma. They replaced the leaking seal and leak developed again. I brought it back and they found a defective axle shaft was the culprit. I had the shaft replaced by them months earlier. They warrantied out the shaft and repaired the truck. They stand behind their work. Called on 11-10-17 for a fuel line repair. They put on the wrong line and still charged me for the job that wasn't done correctly on their part. They said they did not look at my car because I had stated I knew the part that needed to be replaced. So when it didn't get replaced correctly that's all they could say.. 11-14-17 I pay for the Teds bullshit shops service. 11-15-17 my car is towed and dropped off at a PROFESSIONAL SHOP(PREMIER REPAIR) AND REPAIRED THAT SAME DAY. Don't go to SOUTHPOINTE SERVICE CENTER AT ALL!!I have multiple videos of the owners explanation on this and you tell me from there. This job was 1.5 hrs book time. read more

My check engine light was on and I really didn't want to have to take my car in, but I didn't have time to fix it myself so I looked online for a shop. This was really the only place I could find reviews on, but I was nervous because they were all five star. Now I know why! My appointment was for 3:30 but I dropped my car off over lunch. By 2:30 Jason called me and said it was a sensor and they could have the part there and installed in a little over an hour. Shortly after 4:00 Jason called me and I went and picked it up. When I got the final bill I was shocked that the part actually cost more than the labor! I've never seen that before! But I still thought it was an amazing deal. I will definitely recommend this place if anyone I know needs a mechanic. read more

I was in town for work and had A/C problems with my truck on a 95-degree day. A friend of mine that lives in town recommended Ted and rightfully so. Ted was short staffed and told me when I first called that he could not fix it for me on that day. He did ,however take the time to look at the truck and let me know what was wrong. He assured me that even though it was not comfortable, it was ok to drive 8 hours home in that hot weather. I appreciate his honesty and advice. I feel bad that I couldnt give him my business this time around, but I definitely will contact him if I have future problems when I'm in town. read more

The dealership I usually take my car to had given me a high dollar estimate for three car repairs and so I shopped around to see what other quotes would be. Southpointe was recommended to me by someone who had brought their old vehicle there and felt that had been given really good service several times. When I called around, they also gave me the lowest quote, but they said they needed to see my car for one repair so they could make sure they got the right part. When I went there for them to look at it, I was told that as far as they could see, it was just fine. When I dropped my car off for the other two repairs, I was told when I called that I only needed one out of the two. It seems the one thing I needed had spewed whatever was leaking all over the place and the dealership had just told me I needed the other things repaired instead of cleaning things up. I was told that Southpointe would keep an eye on the other things to make sure that it was just the leak. As a full time college student, I don't have money to spare. I appreciated their honesty and their willingness to keep their eye on things. I've been having more trouble with something else the dealership told me they'd fixed.. The courteous professionals at Southpointe Service Center did a great job of repairing my wife's Mazda Protege5 under less than ideal circumstances. My wife drove to Fargo from Mpls/St Paul for a yoga workshop; unfortunately the timing belt went and she found herself stranded. Her local contact in Fargo recommended Southpointe. Jason and the team did everything they could to get parts quickly and get our car back on the road, all at reasonable prices. Hopefully we'll never need emergency auto repairs in Fargo, but if we do, we'll be using Southpointe. read more

Went in for a squeaky sound coming from the front passenger side. Told the woman at the front desk and she had the nerve to ask me what it was!? I told her I am not a mechanic and that is why I came in. They found the problem though it was the two lower ball joints. I was quoted $650 including a 4 wheel alignment. When I got there they told me my alignment was perfect but had the gall to charge me for it! I will never do business with a place that charges me for work they don't do!!! For the same price I could have gone to the Dealership and got treated about 10 times better! Steer clear of this place! read more

I replaced a timing belt and a pair of ball joints there, a little bit cheaper than dealership. My car can't be easily unlock in winter, I guess some ice stuck the lock, so I usually left it open. When I picked up the car at the parking lot in a winter, the door was frozen again. A mid-age gentleman at the front desk was really nice, spending 15 minutes opened it for me. read more
