They were clearly busy but as a walk in I couldn't complain! $150 and 30 minutes later I walked out with a new, reliable battery installed. I had an 830 am appointment for standard service. my car wasn't taken back until 930 (after I went up and asked what was taking so long). I was there for 2.5 hours. when I called to schedule my 830 appointment I was told I would be out in an hour to an hour and a half. don't take appointments if you can't honor them. I had called an hour prior to make an appointment to replace a tire for 3pm. was not notified that they were busy when they took my appointment. when I got to firestone there was a few people in the waiting room. I walked in and stood there for a little bit and was not acknowledged. at first I didn't mind, I understand when it's busy so I brushed it off. The older man there seemed to be frustrated on the phone and on the PC. Another employee came in and didn't acknowledge me either. he then asked if I was a driver for a VW and I said no, and then he went on with his task and didn't even asked if I was being helped. At the is point I'm getting frustrated myself. Almost 20 minutes went by and Ive had enough, I called Holman and they got me in to Meineke about 5min away. read more

Do not recommend! We had an appointment and it still took 3 hours to get our tires changed. Our car sat there not being worked on for over 2 hours, as it seemed they had 1 person working but had taken multiple appointments. Work didn't start on our car until 2 hours after our appointment time when more employees showed up. Update: They didn't put the caps back on our tires so tires were leaking air and needed to be refilled again. Not sure how that's something you forget. read more

I had discovered one of my rear tires to be flat just as I was loading the car for a four-hour drive on Christmas Eve. Firestone in West Long Branch tried to sell me on a $170 new tire. They insisted that I had tire rot, but could not reconcile that diagnosis with the fact that they could not find a leak. I went to another mechanic, who did not try to sell me a tire because they could not find a leak. They suggested an inexpensive bead seal (which I accepted), in case the leak was around the rim and so not showing when the wheel was submerged. The tire survived the four-hour drive and has not gone flat since. My home mechanic thinks that the valve might have remained open after I inflated the tire (which I did on the day before the drive), but then reset after I re-inflated the tire after discovering the flat. Firestone's approach to the problem was a disappointment. I also lost a few hours as I needed to find another mechanic to appropriately address the problem. Ahead of a long drive to get home on Christmas Eve, this was not good. read more

My car was leaking antifreeze and brought my car to Firestone, I had been there in the past and service was good. I stopped in the day before to see if they could address the problem if I brought it in early in the morning- they were accommodating. My car was put on the lift and was told that I needed to replace the thermostat housing and 2 hoses- this will cost me $1600.00. I was told that the labor to get at the part is expensive since this car is small and all the parts are crammed into the engine. I should consider getting this done sooner then later because the housing could shoot shards of metal into the engine. ?? I was pitched the Firestone credit card that I could use to pay off the bill, they would give me 10% discount and would have 4 months to pay at $0 % financing. Yes I am a woman- shame on the service manager. The sign above the counter that says "I believe fundamental honesty is the keystone of business" by Harvey Firestone -was curling up as he was speaking. I went in for a lifetime alignment , I had a 7am appointment on tuesday June 10th 2025 . I had to be at work at 8 . I knew there was a chance I'd be late to work but that was okay. I waited an extra day to be able to snag an appointment for my alignment because I specifically wanted the lifetime warranty. upon arrival I was told the mechanic wouldn't be in until around 7:45am , I said okay and I waited patiently over a cup of coffee . around 8:30-8:45 I was told my truck was ready and I paid for the service and got in my truck . upon shifting out of park I realized that my brake pedal was sinking to the floor so I rolled it back and forth a foot or two to test the brakes . I went inside and informed the desk person that something was wrong with my brakes and that I did not have any issues with my brakes before or upon arrival . he told the mechanic , then someone else came out and said it wasn't their fault because the line was old and rusty . he then took out a metal rod and demonstrated how it could have happened because the rod was used for aligning the rim . he said that this rod was most likely what hit the brake line and caused it to leak . I said "well there we go , can we get the work approved ? because i definitely had no leaks when I came in ." I then showed him the parking space where I had parked on arrival and there were no puddles . we then looked underneath the rear of the vehicle and the was brake fluid leaking from the left side right above the center of the rear differential . he then put it up on the lift and that was when he demonstrated what he says , happened with the rod shaped balancing tool and caused damage. upon asking him if this would be covered by Firestone , he said no because the line was "old and rusty" . so I asked the desk person how much the work would be and he said roughly $500 for a 3 hour job . so I asked for the corporate number , which I was told he didn't know , and then the gentleman who gave me the demonstration, came and said that calling corporate wasn't the way to go and that an assistant manager would be in at 12pm and that he had the power to get the work approved for me , that he could fix the line in no time , also he said the head manager would be returning to work the following day if that didn't work . I had someone come pick me up and I called around 12:15 to speak to "Luis" the assistant manager. he informed me that he had no power in the sit and the head manager wouldn't be in until Friday . i felt lied to and thrown for a fool . Nonetheless I had to fix it . I went and bought the materials watched some YouTube videos and fixed it myself for a lot less than $500 and it looks pretty professional . Now I'm contacting corporate for compensation ‍ thats exactly why I learned to work on my own vehicle . If only I could do a perfect alignment myself .. read more

Called and made appointment for 1:00, appointment for changing battery and vehicle check. There was one person in front of me, and I have been kept here for over 3 hours, . They are taking other people and putting them in front of me. A battery change takes 15 minutes, checking tires air pressure, even less.... I don't understand how this is possible. AFTER waiting 2 hours I asked the rep if I can just leave because the battery is replaced, he tells me one if my tires is flat, which isn't true, low on psi maybe but nowhere near close to a flat. At this point they're keeping me here telling me it's unsafe to drive and they have to do a flat repair. Upon further inspection apparently the lug holes in the wheel that was flat needed to be replaced? How convenient for them. The only way that would have happened is if they took my tire off (to do the flat repair, which was completely unnecessary), so I ended up spending an extra 500$ and got to waste a nice 5 hours of my time waiting. Side note - fucking up the lug holes like that usually means you have little to 0 experience putting tires on... Nice. Stay away from here by all means read more

The service I receive here, as a single woman, has kept my business. I have been treated with the upmost respect, attention and professionalism. This includes being taken to the garage and shown exactly what was wrong with my car to being told when there was something they did NOT service, where to go that did and details so I "would not be taken advantage of" (my words). Made an appointment for 12 noon oil change got there 10 of.. waiting for 45 minutes now and my car still is out in the parking lot... I am not a regular so I get ignored... Had a blow out and brought my tire in. Moise helped me at the store and I would have to say the best customer service I have had in a long time. Breath of fresh air in our state. Very knowledgable and handled the entire procedure in a very professional way. Would hire him on the spot. Car up and out within an hour. I brought my car in at 2 pm for a rotation and alignment and they told me it would be done at 4 pm. Guess what? Finally finished at 630. No apology, no discount, nothing. I made an appointment for 10:30 to have my oil changed. When I arrived, I checked my car in and informed the man I talked to that I would be running next door to buy a few groceries while I waited. He told me the car would be done when I returned. I returned just around 11 and my car had not moved. At 11:15 they finally took my car in, and I waited another 45 minutes while they changed the oil. While waiting, I noticed how chilly it was in the waiting area, which was the fault of the front door being propped open. An elderly man sitting next to me complained more than once, but no effort was made to close the door. The men in the garage were yelling loudly about the cars they had to do that day, arguing over who would take which car. Overall the actual service done on my car was fine, but the in-store experience was terrible and slow. read more

To give this place a 1 star review is being generous. I wish I had the option to give it none. I called at 10 am to make an appointment for a simple oil change and was told to come at 2pm. I dropped my car off at 1:45pm and left. I was told it would take two hours and should hear from them around 4pm. At around 4:50 I showed up at the store, knowing it was Sunday and they closed at 5pm, figuring they had just forgot to call me. The manager Ed caught me in the parking lot and told me my oil change had not been completed. He was very rude and abrupt and said they were busy and "these things happen". I reminded him that I had called ahead and made an appointment and that I had even left my car for them to have for four hours. He then proceeded to tell me that the other employee who had helped me, told him I said it was okay to keep the car and complete the oil change tomorrow. Those words never came out of my mouth, nor was it ever even mentioned or an option. He huffed and said he would complete the oil change but I would have to wait for him to finish a break job, and would have to wait over an hour. I declined and asked for my keys back. Normally I wouldn't be so angry, but this is the second time that this has happened. My sister dropped her car off once for an oil change and they forgot about it as well, then acted annoyed when she was upset and still wanted the oil change done. This used to be a great establishment, my family has serviced our cars here for close to 20 years, but I will no longer. Take your money somewhere else, where your business is appreciated. read more

After getting a laundry list of things wrong with my car at the Muffler place down the road on Route 36 in Eatontown, it was refreshing to find someone who did not give me the run around or try to sell me any additional services. The problem with the p/s tire was a simple alignment & replacement of the tire. Not the 4 different must have it fixed now reason I got from the other place. I arrived there at 8:45 am & at 10:00 am I was out the door. New tire placed on rear of car where it should be, rear tire on front, car was also given a complete check for any other problems & an alignment service for the life of my car for $259.00 ! I will definitely be going back to Firestone in West Long Branch NJ every time my car needs service-- THANK YOU ! read more

I brought in my minivan to get it checked out because the dash board lights were out to signal that the car needed to be checked out because something was wrong with it. I also asked them to check out my brakes because they were being very slow and sometimes slightly unresponsive. My grievance is that whoever the individual was that checked in and out my car was INCREDIBLY RUDE. When I came to pick my car up, I was greeted by a dull and rude man who was counting money at the counter. I asked him if they checked out my brakes and if there was anything wrong. Both questions came one after the other. And rather than him looking up from the money he was counting, he pushed the paperwork I had to sign across the counter towards me, and without a single care in the world just said "No". Keep in mind I asked two different questions that needed separate answers. And instead got a single word as a response. To end this long rant, if someone in the service industry can't manage to be polite and bother to care to help the people that are paying them for a service, then maybe they shouldn't be working in that kind of field at all. I hope the man who was disrespectful reads this and realizes how gross and rude he was towards a paying customer. read more

This was my go to place for tires I have been coming here since 2009 ever since I moved to the shore. I'm not sure if it's the Sunday staff or they no longer have the people they once had. First they all look like they don't want to help you the guy behind the counter never looked up to make eye contact. I asked if he can do a simple plug on my tire which was already off the car and the screw was still in it. Now mind you its 3:45 and they close at 6:00 the guy turns me away saying they don't have time. WHAT? you don't have time for a five minute plug and twenty dollars towards the daily income. I went to auto zone and did it myself for seven bucks which I had really no time to do that's why I went to you slackers. It's not our fault you guys hate your jobs. Took in my vehicle on a Saturday to get it aligned. They told me I needed to make an appointment which is understandable. So I made one for the following day Sunday morning as soon as they opened 9am. Came in, Paid and handed over my keys and he told me to have a seat that it should only be an hour. I told him my wife was here And be back in about an hour or two when they call. 12:45 rolls around still no call. So I called and they told me they needed about another 30 minutes and they would call when finished. 4:45 rolls around 15 minutes before closing I finally call them and they tell me it's done. Also had a note on my receipt that I wanted my axle centered and he said no problem. Went to pick it up and everything was done except axle being centered. He told me the guy that did the alignment doesn't know how to do it. Other than that vehicle was aligned and rides good. If they don't center axles that's fine. I wish they would have told me that. Taken my car in twice, once for brakes and once for oil change. Both times work was done promptly, good price on a synthetic oil change. Put in some extra effort with oil change since there was a leak and scuff plate needed to be cleaned up. Gave me full report on the fluids, tires etc. which should be standard for any auto repair shop, but was appreciated. Also report on what should be done which of course is smart marketing but should be routine as well. read more
