People make appointments because their time is valuable. I don't know why they take appointments if they can't keep them. These were basically oil changes & tire rotations: Two times ago, I had a 9:00am appt and left my car there. It wasn't ready until after 5:00pm, even after me calling multiple times. I was without a car ALL DAY! Last time a 9:30am appt and waited. My car wasn't even taken into the garage until 11:00am! This time, a 10:00am appt and I waited. Car wasn't done until 11:50am. AND they didn't even do the tire rotation I requested. Always trying to upsell. "Brakes are worn and need replaced, etc." Outside mechanics disagree. read more

I scheduled a tire replacement at Firestone two days in advance. Upon arrival I was told my appointment wasn't until 1pm--even though I had multiple text confirmations from Firestone stating noon. The technician just said, "Our system doesn't always work." I left the car with them, assuming it would be done within a few hours. I received a quote via email that had several hundred dollars in additional fees added to the job. By 5pm, I still hadn't received any updates. When I called to check, I was told they hadn't even started. The explanation was that they were backed up and short-staffed. I asked why they even bother taking appointments if they can't honor them, especially when I had arranged a ride and taken time out of my day. He told me he could get it done "in a few hours," but that offer came five hours too late. I picked up my car and left without the work done. Thankfully, I went to Costco.com, where I found the same exact tires for less than Firestone. Costco offers free installation, no hidden fees, and a five year warranty. I ended up saving $439! On December 8 I thought I purchased new tires from Firestone complete auto at 6136 sunbury rd , Westerville. After 4 hours and waiting for a tire to arrive 30 minutes later I paired my bill. Upon inspection of the work I found the tires to be old and requested new tires. Firestone refused, tires dated 2024 , 2023 , 2023, and 2022. I explained that Dot recommends 6 year replacement . I have been taking my car to this location for over 10 years and I've always had great service. However, the last couple of times my experience has been slowly declining. I had an issue recently with an oil change that did not get done in time and had to wait until 8pm (after closing) to get my car. I was informed that they had short staff and had some guys call off, so I was understanding to the situation. A few weeks later, I needed 4 tires and so I made an appointment . I dropped off my car at 2 PM for a 3 pm appointment and I got a ride home. I was never contacted with any information about my car, and so around 6 PM. I started to call because the location closes at 7 PM. No one answered the phone, so I waited about another 15 minutes and called back. Still the same thing, no answer. So I told my wife just to drive me over there so I could see what was going on. I arrived at the location at about 6:30 PM and the entire garage was locked up and everyone was gone. The power was off, the doors are locked, no one in sight. This was a weeknight and I needed my car to work the next day, however, I had never been informed that my car would not be done on time. Had I not been told that my car would not be done, but they were not scheduled to close until 7 PM. I wasn't sure what to do so I called another location and asked if they could contact someone so that I could at least have my car to go to work the next day. I was told the employees had an emergency and had to lock up early and would give me a discount the next day. There were 4 employees there when I dropped off my car. They all had an emergency??? I told them that was not going to work for me, and that I needed my car so that I could get to work the next day. Finally, they contacted the manager and they said he would be there in about a half an hour to get my car. By this time, another customer had shown up to pick up their car and they were also waiting because they have not been informed of any closure. About a half hour goes by and the manager comes into the parking lot, driving and extremely high rate speed, flies up to the front of the location and locks on his brakes. Jumps out of the car like he is in a bad mood as if we were inconveniencing him, walks past me in the other customer without a word. No explanation, no apology, just walks past us like we are somehow interrupting his evening. He went to get my keys, handed them with no apology and no explanation and acted like I should just leave. I would highly suggest that you do not give your business to this location. It used to be a great shop, but it has been going downhill for sometime now. read more

I'm not sure if there's been a high turnover rate at this location or not but the people who work there now are kind of mean. I've been coming to this location for about 5 years and never had any issues until now. I scheduled an appointment on a Friday at 3pm for an oil change, alignment, and rotation. I came to drop off the car and waited a little bit at the front while an employee was helping another customer. The girl that this employee was helping was young and was just asking "Should I pull my car up to the front?" and he, with the most monotone condescending voice, said "I just need your keys." Which should've been a red flag to me right off the bat because it was rude just watching that interaction. The employee then helped me and I went on with the rest of my day. I noticed that it was almost 7pm at that point and decided to call this location to see if maybe they forgot to let me know that my car was ready. The employee on the phone told me that it looked like my car had not even been touched yet. Like how was that possible since I had an appointment almost 4 hours prior to me calling? He kept saying that it was a communication error, whatever that means. This employee was extremely cold and not at all a good fit for customer service. I felt like he didn't care whatsoever and was just trying to minimize their mistakes by calling it "a communication error." What is even the point of having an appointment at all then? Luckily, I didn't need my car the next day otherwise, what was I supposed to do? The bare minimum is to let the customer know that their car wasn't able to be serviced. We've been coming here for years now, because the service is always good, the prices are reasonable, and the work is excellent. Tires have always held up beyond their warranty dates, and they are very good about fixing small problems and not pushing you to get new tires if not really necessary. Also, lots of coupons to be found, and even if I don't have any they will find some to apply to my bill. This time, needed tires and an oil change. Normally I would go somewhere and have lunch, and come back and wait. Now, of course, dining in somewhere is not an option, but I walked over to Kroger for a bit. Wasn't sure their waiting area would be open, but they have removed some chairs and keep people far enough apart. Plus they have some barriers inside to separate customers. You could definitely drop off with minimal contact, and they are good about picking up that way too. We've been coming here for more than 10 years. Best experience I've had in the Firestone chain, and pretty much best car shop ever. Goes to show what you can do if you are honest and do good work. read more

So I bought a Certified Pre-Owned 2014 Accord Sport. Called Bridgestone tire and told them how loud and bad my tires are at 17,xxx said to bring it in for a free tire inspection. Technician said all 4 tires are bad, manufacturing. Ed the manager comes out and was like well the only reason this can happen is because of neglecting maintenance. Showed him the car fax, tires rotated when need and car was aligned as needed. Gave me some more BS excuses and said well we can maybe replace just one tire. ***UPDATE*** I revived a call from the manger Dan Blum and he inspected the car and tires. He was very understanding and I felt very comfortable speaking to him. A big thank you to Dan and Firestone for standing behind their product(s) 100% and are replacing all 4 tires. Unless you're a Quaker, you've probably had your fair share of great and not so great experiences keeping your vehicle in tip-top shape. Prior to leaving Florida, I asked my go-to auto care store in Tampa if they had any branches in Ohio. While they did not, they did advise me they share a parent company and Firestone is in their "family." They'd be able to find and pull all my records down, which was a large relief. My first interaction with Firestone was over the phone when I needed to schedule my rotation and oil change. The young lady on the phone was very pleasant and quickly found all my maintenance records from my time in Florida. They had numerous appointments available on various days. To my surprise, they even had several of those coveted Saturday morning appointments. Upon arrival, I was checked in and my car was pulling in within a few moments. The shop was extremely clean, and they kept all the bay doors closed, ensuring it was comfortable on a sleety Ohio day. I've been going here for several years with many referrals and personal service work done here. Today I find them offering my an OEM water pump for significantly more then the list price of $279.80 from the Chevy dealer. They also are using a labor rate higher then what the dealer and alldata call for. When confronted was blown off until escalating to Corp complaints. Adjusts were made to adjust the price but it was still higher the the quote for the same job at the dealership. Till the tires need replaced only will get oil changes and tire rotation. The estimates are only slightly higher than their competitors but it's worth it given the warranties and willingness to help in sticky situations. Twice now this location has saved us by fixing things other mechanics screwed up and were unwilling to fix themselves. Twice now they've checked our vehicle over and actually SAVED us money by telling us we didn't need the more expensive fix, just the right fix. They are awesome! I brought my daughter up to Columbus from Dayton to do some shopping. We got a flat tire on the way, and stopped here after putting on the spare to see if they could fix it. They were booked solid, but saw that we were in a difficult situation. After a quick inspection they determined they could fix the tire and did so quickly. Tires. If you've got a car, you know how important tires are and how obnoxious they can be to maintain. So, imagine my dismay when one of my tires started leaking (the lazy so and so). The last time I was in the dealership for an oil change, I had them take a look at the tire and they claimed it was fine. It wasn't; it kept leaking and I was starting to have to fill it every 5 or 6 days. So, early Saturday morning I stopped into this Firestone location to get the tire looked at and fixed or replaced. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and, after explaining the issue, was quoted a price for the patching of the tire. Since my husband was waiting outside, I didn't hang around so they estimated that my car would be done by 10am. At 9:05am, I got a call that my car was ready. 35 dollars later, I was on my way home. They could have tried to sell me a new tire, they could have taken hours to get my car, they could have treated me like a stupid woman who has no idea about cars but they did none of those things. If you're in the area and need some basic maintenance or tire work for your vehicle, I can recommend this location. They'll treat you right... and there's places to wander off to for food/drink while you wait. read more

I called 8 different tire dealers. I needed 4 new tires and a 4 wheel alignment on an AWD SUV. This week posted a lot of Veterans discount ads for tires. Maybe they do it all the time. It was just the trigger I needed to pull on her road noise tires. We had good Michelins for 70K miles that had reviews of road noise after 50K on her type vehicle. Sure enough TireRack site was correct. "I need 4 house brand tires to last 40K, while we drive it for about 15K. I need a 4 wheel alignment. Do you have a military discount?" Giving the specific size, all had a suggestion with the out the door price. Only one said I would have to go to their guy for the alignment. I was upfront with everybody. I will hang up, and Google your suggested tires for reviews on my vehicle. Some of the tires are so off brand unknown, that reviews were hard to find. Firestone offered Primewell, which I had not heard of. But get this...Firestone was the only one to offer a second choice. Firestone Destination's which are on sale. $5 more, per tire. After checking all the choices, I found the Destination's as the stand-out. Even with the additional cost, they were a better value than others. I never felt the pressure to commit over the phone. I called back to arrange night drop-off for next day pick up. I received a call the next day to say a Tie Rod was loose and could be replaced for $195. That was the upsale I expected from anyone. I was advised that it should be done be before a true alignment can be done. I was aware of just how much very minor movement it had. The next call was to say it was ready for pick up. Here's where they lost a star. "Out the Door Price" is out the door. Not "Plus Tax". If I budget an amount, you can't change it after the work is done. After a slight discussion with the Sunday supervisor, not the General Manager who quoted me, we paid. The quote was the exact amount without tax. Looking over her shoulder at her screen, I could see multiple discounts, and the 10% military. She had cashed in every deal she could. There was no hiding that extra $50. Just be up front! I still would have paid the difference for a better tire. As I promised them, every tire would be inspected before departure. There were no cut's, scrapes, or marks on the tires or rims. My wife even checked the born on date (3715) as I had shown her. That means the tires were made on the 37th week of 2015. No old tires from a surplus pile here. I would recommend this location. Don't buy Primewell tires. read more

Be very careful about getting tires here. If they suggest additional repairs (and they will) do not bite. First of all, good chance you don't need the repairs. Secondly, they charge about 3 times more to do those repairs than average market prices. I'll never go back. read more

My step dad got his corvettes fan installed here because his car was overheating and it was the nearest place possible. This was about a month ago and they said they had just installed new radiator fan. well a month goes by so today and his car starts overheating again!!!!!!! what a waste of money, we don't even want to take it back because we're scared that they didn't know what they were doing and they're going to mess it up again. update : the fan had a warrantee thank God and the problem was fixed , they were super kind to my step dad :)! read more

I'm usually not a fan of big name auto care centers. In Austin we had a local shop that was amazing we would always use. However, here this is honestly the closest thing. My father has been using this store for probably 25 years and management is still the same. There is also a very good mechanic that they have on staff here that we always have take care of our cars..... I would certainly recommend coming here. This place used to be exceptional, but the new employees are breaking clients other parts of the car to bring to back. I suspect because they broke two different things on my car. One being my head light when they fixed the other head light. And they broke my key. I asked to speak to the district manager, but he did not call me back. They cost me a extra $500 , I am so sad. I needed my car's a/c system looked at, because no air was coming out of the vents. I took it in, and it was diagnosed that a new blower motor resistor was needed. I went ahead with the repairs, and the before tax amount was about $220. Afterwards, I did some research and found that resistors don't cost that much, but I was charged $135 for this part, which I think is way too much of a mark-up. I called and tried to get the model number for the resistor that was used, but they claimed not to have that information. Most likely, they didn't want me to discover just how big the mark-up is. Resistors I saw online were from around $15-$50. The service person was professional, and the problem was fixed, but I just felt sort of ripped off afterwards. There is a website were you can get an estimate range for repairs called repairpal.com, and the amount I was charged for the work done was at the very top, or even a little above the range listed. Their mark-up on parts seems too high. I won't be going to a Firestone again if I can help it. read more

I strongly recommend when doing a front wheel alignment to purchase the lifetime alignment. It's worth your monies. I do a tire rotation every 6 month and laugh the tires and it's great. Firestone is the only one that offers this! read more

I usually like firestone, but taking my car there to get a oil change I can't help but think that the tech intentionally put a piece of metal in my tire to upsell a tire. This was a big metal shard sticking out and was leaking pretty bad. Up until I went there I never had a problem with it losing air. Either this was a strange coincidence or someone keeps piece of metal in there toolbox read more
