I got a flat tire so brought my car in on the spare. I called ahead and they confirmed I could drop in with no appointment. They were quick in getting my car in (20min all in?) patched the hole (FOR FREE), put my spare back in neatly and even pulled my car up after the service was complete. Beware, this place will scam you! I booked an oil change to take advantage of a Goodyear President's Day Flash sale. They didn't honor the flash sale price. At the time of the service I received an email with an increased price. Then when I picked up my car, they charged an even higher price. What concerns me most though is that the service technician said my air filters were "long overdue" for replacement. However, I'd replaced them just four months before the oil change. I refused the filter replacement service. When I got home I pulled the filters out and they look brand new. read more

Just drove in to get a tire repaired. The technician pulled the car right in , removed the nail and plugged the tire. Checked all four tire pressures and had me out in 5 minutes. When I asked what I owed, they said no charge. I'm from out of town and it was really nice to find a place with that kind of customer service. Really disappointing when I brought my car in today after scheduling a service at 1 for a headlight replacement and oil change with no problems online. There was no section to say what car I drive or a list of cars they don't perform on. As soon as I pulled up the guy wouldn't look me in the eye and listened to me describe what services I needed and still wouldn't look at me as he told me they couldn't do my car because it was a Range Rover without ever asking me what kind of car I drive or calling to tell me they couldn't do it. He didn't even apologize or offer any kind of alternative and just said "We don't do Range Rovers" and continued to just stare at his screen. I'm sure their service is great, but a terrible customer service experience. read more

It was a rude awakening to discover as you're leaving the house at 5:45 a.m. - in a hurry, of course- that you have a flat tire. Thanks to the friend I was scheduled to meet, I got a ride to my early morning commitments. However, these commitments meant I only had half a day left on Saturday to get my tire fixed before vacation. After I called a roadside assistance provider to get help putting on the spare, I called the Goodyear Auto Service Center in Westerville to make sure there was still room on the schedule to get me in that day. I talked to Chris, and he assured me, that yes, they would be ready for me when I got there. Since I purchased my tires there, I asked if I could get a rotation while I was there, since that was where I purchased the tires a few months ago and free rotations for the life of the tires are included. He said, yes, they could do that too. Sure enough, when I got there a half hour later, they were ready for me, and did all that I requested in about an hour. Since I got Roadside Protection for tire damage when I purchased the tires, my repair was free also. I'd say this was icing on the cake, except for one nice finishing touch. As I exited the building to get in my vehicle, I noticed that the spare cover had not been put back on, which wasn't a big deal. I got it out of the rear cargo area and was putting it back on when one of the techs came out and helped me put it back on. He explained he wasn't sure if there was a trick to it, and had meant to ask me, then took over and put it back on for me, "so I wouldn't get [my] hands dirty." (Ha! He obviously doesn't know me very well.) I thought this was very nice. It just added up to a fantastic customer service experience from start to finish. Disclaimer: I did originally start going to this store for tire service several years back because my dad is a Goodyear retiree, and I wanted to use his rebate coupons. However, the coupons were what got me in the door. What keeps me going back is the excellent experiences I have every time I go there. I have also had minor car maintenance there and have had similar positive experiences. Tip: This is a company-owned store and not a franchisee. Whenever possible, I always recommend using a company store. This stems from an incident I had a few years back where the free rotations were limited to only to that franchiser's location, and not any Goodyear store. Also, in the former retiree discount program, the franchisers had the option to not take it. It just rubbed me the wrong way, and I've used company stores ever since and have been well pleased every time. That said, I'm sure there are very reputable franchisees out there. Let me start by saying I always go to Goodyear. I have always felt safe and feel you can not put a price on the service of your vehicle, it takes your family lots of places. All that said I must say that the service at this location is beyond exceptional! Not only do they take care of you they really know you and you car. This morning I have a flat, I have already wasted time by changing it, so I call Goodyear. After a few concerned questions, I am told to bring it right away and they would take care. I could not even get out of the car before he was at my trunk ready for the tire to fix it, Wow. They knew me, my car and my time constraint. I had a tire blow over the weekend and Monday they called and told me the wheel was also shot and would need a new one. Because I have aftermarket rims they couldn't find any so we elected to take the car back to the dealer we recently bought it from. Goodyear put a spare on it and let us drive away free of charge. I got the sense these guys knew what they were doing and truly care about the customers. I will be returning here in the future for service from these professionals. read more

My car broke down while we were out of town (in Columbus) on Christmas Eve. Goodyear was the only one that was open and could replace the alternator on the 26th. They then gave me a list of other things that needed fixed, also informing me that there were belts that needed to be replaced immediately and because they were "about to snap." I insisted that they replace the alternator but not anything else. I took it back to our hometown mechanic with the list of repairs from Goodyear to get a 2nd opinion...the belts and everything else were fine. So I took it to another mechanic to get a 3rd opinion...again the belts and everything on that list were fine. I will never take another vehicle to this store and will advise everyone I know to do the same. read more

This is hands down the best shop I've ever taken my car to. I will never go anywhere else. Huge shout out to Chris, HE'S THE MAN. He talks to you like a close friend, greets me by name, and always remembers personal things about me and my family. They have always taken my car in the moment I call with a situation. They give it to you straight, work with your budget, and don't hassle you with unnecessary add ons. The first time I went to them was to get a second opinion when another shop told me my car was inoperable and would cost $900 and a week to get fixed. This is the note I sent to the General Manager for the area: Just a short note to tell you how professional and complete the service that I received from Mark and his team has been when I had new tires put on my car. I had Assurance All Season tires installed. After a bit of highway driving I told Mark that I thought something was out of balance. We scheduled an immediate check up of the tires where he personally checked out my car. We then did a short test drive. We talked about a "harmonic" type noise that was heard and felt in the cabin. Mark thought it was a noise that would correct itself over a short period of time and asked me to drive on the tires for a week. After doing so, I called back and told Mark that things are not any better. We scheduled a time to change tires. We did so last night, and the issue is completely resolved. I am pleased and thankful. After 40 yrs of driving and lots of tires, this was the first time I had tires changed and was not happy with the product. Regardless, Mark was completely understanding and took care of business. I see now why the store has such high ratings through on-line rating services. I too, will add to the "best in class" ratings. Living in Westerville since 1988, we have had tires changed in just about all the stores in Westerville. The shopping has now stopped. Mark and his store are the real deal. We always bring our cars here for all repairs! What started out as an oil change has evolved into numerous fixes, which have all have been completed wonderfully! Very friendly and knowledgable staff, and they don't try to "rip me off" by adding on extras. They always do the jobs that I request, and in a timely and cost efficient manner!
