I called the day they said car would be ready and they realized they hadn't received the part they needed (and they hadn't checked). They could increase their revenue by learning basic customer service and by interacting with female customers as if we are important to their bottom line. Horrible customer service. I have a 2019 Lexus ES. I needed state inspection and emissions. They said I needed a new tire because of a slight cyr in my tire near the rim. I came in because my brakes were not working correctly. I was told it was due to low and old brake fluid. It was ignorant of me to agree to pay $130 for a simple brake fluid flush in the first place, however, I found out today through a brake fluid test strip, it was never changed. I know this location will not lose any business over this review, but I would caution anyone considering going here. They will take advantage of you from my experience. The Firestone in Wynnewood PA is the absolute worst. I took my car in for an oil change and a tune-up. As soon as I left the parking lot, my check engine light came on, which was not on prior to my visit to Firestone. They were closing at the time so I took it back the next day and was told that they were busy and didn't have time to look at it. I made an appointment for the following day. When I took it back the following​ was asked if I could bring it back on Sunday, when they would have time to look at it. I took it in Sunday morning, I was told I needed 3 Coils replaced, I had the coils replaced and was told everything was fine. After sitting there for four hours my car was ready. I drove maybe 15 minutes to my home and again the check engine light came on. Once again my car is at Firestone. I have sent over $1,000 at Firestone in a three week period. read more

Horrible experience. Called Monday, made an appt to have two tires put on Friday at 10. Dropped it off on time. Returned at 3 to find out they don't even have my tires And they did nothing with my car. Told they could put them on the next morning. Arrived the next morning and was told they couldn't do it. Also called Firestone a week prior to complain about a similar customer service issue I had at the Firestone/Tires Plus in Bryn Mawr down the street where they lied about the tires I can put on my car in order to sell me more expensive tires and then when I called them and said I found out that I actually can put those tires on my car they refused to do business with me saying that I cost them a $160 cancellation fee for ordering the other tires. was told by customer service that a regional manager will reach out to me within 48 hours. This is a week later and still no call. Just another problem at another Firestone location. i Don't even think you can blame it on the employees. I dropped my car off to them at 830a for an oil change and a brake check. At 1p I come to pick my car up and they haven't even touched it. What is the purpose of making an appt? The man at front suggested they could do it now but it would be an additional hour. If I wanted to wait here I wouldn't have made an appt and dropped the car off. This place used to have excellent customer service. No longer. The last few times I've dropped my car off and gave a specified time I needed the car back, the car was not ready nor did anyone call to give me an update hours past the time I needed the car. Last week, I dropped my car off at 8:30am for an oil change and to have the A/C looked at. No one asked when I needed the car back. Around 5:30 I finally called since no one called me and was told that they had lost power during a storm for 3 hours that afternoon and were backed up, and "were trying to call people" and could they get the car back to me on Monday. I told them I worked early on Monday morning and would need to come get the car. They said okay, they close at 6. So I rode my bike over there where the gentleman at the front was clearly not who I talked to on the phone and had no idea I was coming to get the car. No work had been done at all, despite this storm happening at 2pm and I dropped the car off at 8:30. Hardly any apologies, and no offer of a discounted oil change or anything despite a complete waste of my day without my car and nothing done. This has been an absolute nightmare. Our bmw 328 got a flat tire around the area. It was our mistake to have not checked the Yelp review on this place. Basically we had a spare tire in the back that could be switched out. However, the mechanic would NOT put in the spare tire because then te tires would be mismatched. He would ONLY put 4 run flats in all 4 wheels of the car, although the front two wheels were brand new tires we had put in a month prior. This is a ridiculous policy that they were apparently required to follow, so we asked them to put some air in so we can drive down the street to another mechanic, 4 minute drive from here. The first mechanic refuses to do such a thing because the "tire has such a big hole" that it would be futile. However, when we asked to look at the hole, another mechanic came by and we asked him if it's possible to put some air into the tire so we can drive it down the street 1 mile. He was agreeable to this idea, and we saw the first employee turning red and saying that we need a tow truck instead. This experience has been the biggest nightmare, to say the least, and it took them 6 hours to come to the conclusion that they will not do any work on the car. What is even more mins boggling is that after their 6 hour assessment, they had no idea that the front two tires were already "mismatched" from the rear two. How can they be so strict about making sure all 4 tires be the same tires, yet not be competent enough to figure out in advance the front two is already mismatched from the rear two? read more

I'm going to give them 4 stars for excellent customer service. We have also used Firestone in north Jersey, and found that they have good customer service. In case corporate is listening, I'm going to name drop and say that Patrick is an excellent associate at the shop. Sometimes, you just want to get your car in an out quickly, and feel that you got a fair deal. I have observed how other customers were treated, on pricing, and explanation on what was done. Over the past decade (loyal customer I am) Firestone Ardmore has been my go to shop when I don't need or care for a visit to the dealer. I've been to the other nearby Firestone locations such as City Ave but ultimately this location is cleaner, more likely to be on time and gets the job done right majority of the time. Front desk Asian Mike is courteous and professional. Mechanic Pat is an ace with Hondas and Acuras. If you live near City Ave and this side of the Mainline, Firestone is worth your time and money. Tip, try to bring a coupon in, or if you get a helpful front desk like Mike just ask for any ongoing promotions! Highly recommended. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR AN INSPECTION OR ANYTHING. REALLY. UPDATE: 3RD VISIT NO STICKER I was informed to be there at 7AM to get my inspection sticker put on, so I showed up at 650 AM. The guy lets me in the front door, and then informs me no mechanics come in till 730-800AM. So, I either wait an hour or come back EXACTLY at 8AM to get it done. Which BTW he said would take an hour to put on FREAKING STICKER! AN HOUR TO PUT ON A STICKER ON THE CAR? Then I exchanged some pleasantries and left. But, I leave for long trip tomorrow and don't want my car to be half Legit with only emissions sticker on and MORE IMPORTANTLY I CAN'T LET THIS RETARDED PLACE WIN. I was pinched for time and couldn't make it out to my regular Auto Shop so I went here against my better judgement due to a past experience. I dropped my car off at 10 AM and received the dreaded phone call about how about recommending alignment for 179.99 dollars and have a screw in my tire that can't patched but they have this no name brand store tire they can put on for me for XXX dollars. I kindly declined and told them we will talk once I get to the shop. Luckily my 2 year old Acura with only 13k Miles passed emissions... PHEWWWWW.. Now, on to the being Screwed Saga. So the mechanic shows me the screw and explains how it is in a spot that can't be repaired and the tire needs to replaced. But, after further conversation he said if I can get it plugged somewhere else he will give my sticker, mind you there was no leak whatsoever. After spending few sleepless nights with nightmares of getting pulled over driving with expired inspection or WORSE TO BE TICKETED BY PPA, I went to shop that was willing plug the tire for me. The guy took the tire off and pulled the screw out and guess what, screw was barely 1/4 inch in length and there was not leak to be patched. PHEWWWW.. So, I call the Firestone to tell them that there is no issue with the tire and I would like my sticker and a good night of sleep. Guy tells me to get there before 4 and they will get it done. I get there at 3, and front desk informs me that I have to wait till 530 PM or leave the car with them, to which I of course kindly refused. So, I still don't have my sticker so the nightmares will ensue for few more days, and will probably have to spend few more hours at this place to get my stickers because there is no way I am leaving my car alone with these crooks. This place is the worst place to ever bring your car. The first time I brought my car, I had an appointment for 12:00Pm and I asked to get done a full synthetic oil change, tire rotation and an alignment. They had me waiting till 7Pm and when I came to realize they had done a regular oil change. "As a courtesy" the manager took off the $25 bucks for the wrong oil change they did because it wasn't the one I asked for. Since the manager talked to me and apologized I decided to give them a second change. Today I made an appointment to get a full synthetic oil change, my appointment was for 6Pm I came in at 5:30 they made me wait till 6 just to tell me that they didn't have time to get me in for my appointment for the oil change. As if I was getting the oil change for free. I told the so called manager Jeremy that I had an appointment and he said that it wasn't his problem. I even asked kindly again, please I need an oil change, his response was, don't you understand? I already answered you once and so will no say the same question again. This is the most inhumane place there is, if you like being treated like shit come to this sh*t place, but I will never recommend anyone to come here and get terrible service, plus have them humiliate you as if you're someone from the streets. It was nearly 6pm and I pulled into this Firestone hoping someone could fix my tire so that I could return to the city. I had stopped up the street at another garage but was told it was too late in the day. Not only did a mechanic at Firestone fix my tire in less than 10 mins, but he also didn't bill me for it. I came to Firestone because the day before, my tires had been replaced. The next day, the tire pressure was low. I came back to have it looked at the next day, in case they didn't repair the tires. I said that I had to be at work in 5 minutes. They assured me it would be ten minutes. It took them twenty minutes to tell me that I had a nail in another tire. And then another hour and a half to replace it, all the while, they continuously told me "just a few more minutes. After two hours, and $208.00 (they did not offer to cut the labor costs), I will NEVER go back. Had they told me it would take two hours, I would have taken the train to work (a 5 minute ride), and come back later. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

Stay away!! This place is a complete rip off!!!! The mechanic will suggest unnecessary repairs that costs over thousand dollars. Last time I went there for a state inspection, it a 2012 Volkswagen with only 40K on it. He refused to put stickers on it unless I perform his recommended services: Brake pads replace, alignment and fuel system cleaned some sort. And he quoted me for about 1,100 dollars. They charged me $80.00 for wiper blades, 69 (I think) for the inspection, and tried to sell me on another $1500 in alignment work, on a car that had gotten an alignment at the dealer less than a month ago. Went in for squeaky breaks on a used car I just bought. Over the phone, the store manager Fran claimed that the front rotors, front pads, rear shoes, and struts all needed to be replaced. I was quoted $1500. I took the car out to Lancaster to get a second opinion from a friend of mine who is a mechanic, and the two of us were looking at it together. NO PROBLEM FOUND, rotors were shiny and flat, pads and shoes looked brand new, struts were fine. The squeaking was simply caused by the fact that the car has ceramic break pads (these are known to squeak a little bit). Put a little lube on the back of the break pad where it touches the caliper to deaden the squealing and now it's fine. Fran was going to charge me $1500 dollars for nothing. How can you trust a person like that? read more

Went in to get a tire fixed after hitting a nail. Now while my 2011 Ford Focus got a clean bill of health not even a month after undergoing a PA inspection, according to this Firestone it needs about 1100$ worth of tire and brake repairs. I laughed and showed them my inspection papers showing that my brakes and tires were perfectly fine. Then I just asked to get the tire fixed and got the hell out of there. I was told to do repairs/improvements that were not necessary. What the Firestone staff was saying sounded so shady, I asked them to do just inspection and took my car to the VW shop. VW staff told me that all the things that were suggested by Firestone were completely not necessary. I almost spent $1000 more for unnecessary "improvements/maintenance" at Firestone. Oil change and tire rotation for $19.99 with coupon from back of Pathmark Super Market receipt. I also get brakes done here, they're about $100. I once had all sorts of work done here running me close to 2k. Service is pretty good, but I'd rather be at a Jiffy Lube for an oil change, in and out, as opposed to waiting from anywhere between 1 to 3 hours just for some oil. Depends on what I have planned for that day is how I would rate the speed of service. But the work is good, I've never had a problem with that part. You should go here if your looking for dependable and reliable service, but if your looking for low prices, this would not be your place. Bring a book to read and hope that the lobby is not full because you will probably be spending the next few hours with the people you see when you enter. read more

I've been a customer of this shop for many years. However, the current management fails miserably the honesty test. Forget the annual inspections that regularly end up costing you hundreds and hundreds of $$$ in unexpected repairs which now I doubt we're legitimate. I took one of my cars there for a breaking noise. They indicated the front brakes, including rotor, needed to be replaced even though I believe the rotor didn't need to be touched at all or it could just been re-surfaced. 2 days and $600 later when I pick up my car I notice The ABS warning light is on. I bring the manager -Jeremy- to the car and show him the light. He says this might happen after brakes work and advise me to bring the car back to be fixed in case the light doesn't go off by itself. I had to leave town for a while, when I am back the light is still on, I take the car back to Firestone. This time Jeremy tells me the ABS sensor has a problem and needs to be replaced at a cost of $160. I explained that the problem appeared during brakes repair and I expect them to fix it at no charge. He categorically refused, suggesting that I am looking for a freebie.Never encountered such level of dishonesty. They lost my and my family business after many many years of being a loyal customer. It was close to CHOP though, and as I had someone to visit there, it was a logical choice. They did the job, did not try to upsell me on anything, and when it came time to pay the bill, handed me a receipt for $0.00 on it. Can't get better than that. I strongly advise against this place unless you are getting tires only. They will try to UP-SELL you on everything and anything by making it seem like life-or-death if you don't buy. I was there on 3/24/12 for 4 new tires and front brake pads. They insisted that I also needed front rotors and back pads & rotors. I agreed to the front rotors (my car sensor said I was due); however, the back seemed fine. I politely declined the service on back brakes but they kept selling - finally I said I would come back in a few weeks (just to stop them). They said a few weeks might be ok but I shouldn't do anymore. Fast forward 4 months to today (7/31/12), I had my car inspected and passed with flying colors - in fact, my back brakes still have plenty of life left! As for their service on the tires...I was told my car would be done by 2PM. I returned at 2, car wasn't done, but they said it was almost ready. At 3PM, I asked for an update; they we're "just finishing up." Finally, at 4:15, they brought my car out to me, no apology for the delay, but they sure made a point to pitch the back brakes again! Honestly, that was infuriating. I'll end on a positive note, the tires have worked out very well and they were the cheapest in the area (by quite a bit). So, if you go for what you want, and have PLENTY of time to wait, I recommend them. Just beware of the up-sell and slow service. read more

Firestone staff at this location have twice now come to my rescue when my tire pressure light went on. After trying on my own to work those tire pressure gages and air pumps, I pulled into Firestone. Each time, the desk guy referred me to a bay where a mechanic carefully measured the pressure in each tire, found the issue, filled the tire and charged me nothing. This may be an insignificant problem to the more mechanically inclined. But to a senior woman with no mechanical ability or interest, these guys were exceedingly professional, courteous and I would be inclined to go back for other services! read more
