Came here originally on a Thursday morning because my battery light was on. They tested it and the battery was fine, but the alternator needed to be replaced. Not the most ideal situation but they gave me an excellent price on the alternator, and said it could be done nearly right away. So the next morning, they changed my alternator. After they changed my alternator, everything was good to go. Car drove away perfectly fine. Right after leaving Firestone, I drove to the Jiffy Lube down the street for an oil change and spark plugs and the Jiffy Lube people did something so sketchy that MY CAR HAD TO BE TOWED OUT! Like wth right? I drove in here fine and had to be towed out? I called Firestone while waiting for the tow truck, and they said they could look at it to see what the issue was. Long story short, I left Firestone that morning fine. Drove into the Jiffy Lube bay fine, but something happened at Jiffy Lube that deemed my car undrivable. It was a chaotic weekend, but the guys at Firestone were immensely helpful and patient, as I was definitely pretty emotional since I was so frustrated with Jiffy Lube and whatever they did to my poor car. They kind of helped to direct me on my next steps, as well as what my options were. And I mean, when they did the alternator the price and service was perfect. Shout out to James and Tony because they were the ones helping me out on this one. So basically, go to Firestone for everything from oil changes to alternators. read more

I had a tire error on my Mercedes went to ask for help (can't remember the guys name, sorry) he came out explained the issue and fixed the issue on the spot. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I brought my HEMI in and told the tech it had been overheating at idle. They had it the whole day and tested it and told me sorry we can't replicate it even though it had been doing it for the last week or so. I brought it back to Firestone about a month later and it was still doing it but worse. After having my car a few hours, the tech came out and said I have some really bad news and apologized and said You blew a head gasket and it will be upwards of $5000 to fix. After taking it to another mechanic they said that was caused by a major radiator leak. You're telling me that they couldn't see a radiator leak? Are you serious? It's thousands of dollars to get my car fixed now. Not sure how I would ever pay for that? I reached out to them and an area manager called me and pretty much said tough shit and my recourse is that you can sue us lol. This behavior doesn't surprise me bad business practices always trickle down from the top. I should've brought it to a reputable auto mechanic in the beginning but I trusted Firestone lol what a costly mistake. Thanks for temporarily fixing it and costing me thousands of dollars. You lost another loyal customer. This type of business should not be in business. read more

Called Friday with a request - most shops turn away modified cars, but the crew at Firestone asked me about the modifications and agreed to take it on. They told me to make an appointment for Saturday morning as the tech he wanted to do the alignment was booked Friday. I showed up on time and Diego went to work on my 2018 Subaru STI. I installed new coilovers, high caster camber plates and SPL rear lower control arms. All the best parts and easy to adjust to my desired specs as I only lowered my car about 3/4" from stock. I explained what I was after and Diego worked on it for 2 hours between the adjustments at the knuckle and caster plates to get it perfect and he nailed it. The car drives perfect and he achieved exactly what I wanted. For all the effort, I purchased their lifetime alignment. I'll be bringing it back for alignments and service as the whole crew was welcoming, accommodating and went above and beyond on my car. I don't normally write reviews, but I saw their reputation on here and was compelled to help change it as I had a terrific experience. read more

Came here for alignment and tires for a 2019 Subaru Forester Touring. They also replaced a bushing on the front axel. I left with two new problems. Was missing two lockable wheel locks on the right side of the car and the TMPS tire pressure light came on after the tire change. The technician said that the car didn't have the lockable lugs on the right side which is not possible. Had to order new ones online and put them on myself. Then had to take the car to the dealership to fix the TPMS tire pressure problem which came on after the tire change. The technician insisted that the tires didn't have sensors so he had no idea why the light came on. So in summary - spent nearly $3,000 here then spent more money at the dealership to fix the problems that came up after the tire change. Definitely not worth it....just take the car to the dealership. read more

I go in for a scheduled alignment at 2pm, they don't get started for 50 minutes after n then they finally take my car in the garage for like 15ish minutes n then i saw the guy go for a test drive n i was waiting outside the whole time a good 30 minutes went by and still didn't see my car pull back in so i just went back inside because my back was hurting, then 5 minutes later i see my car get pulled infront of the store n they tell me that they can't even do my alignment and that they said they thought i took my whole steering rack out when that's not what happened, made me think maybe they took it out and fucked with my wheel so it's at a 90 degree angle, n i finally get home with my car and i inspected the tie rods and the driver side tie rod nut was not even tight, THEY SENT ME HOME WITH A LOOSE OUTER TIE ROD NUT, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. My car was running absolutely fine - no problems. I went to this Firestone to get my oil changed, and when I came home, I could smell a strong odor of oil, and smoke came out from under my hood. I went back for them to check it, thinking they spilled oil when they did the oil change, left my car for the day, and when I came back, they said my head gasket was leaking, and it would be $1100 to fix it. I told them my car didn't have a leaking head gasket when I brought it in, and they lied and said, oh yes, it did. I did not get the head gasket replaced. I took it to another shop, and they confirmed my car DID NOT have a leaking head gasket and that whoever changed the oil spilled oil on my engine. This place was awesome under different management (Joe Hughes and Sonny). New management is completely different. I do not trust anything they say. I very rarely leave a bad review. I will usually never go back, but this is so BAD that I had to leave a warning read more

Mismanaged , Dishonest , incompetent I wish Yelp has an option to give Minus 5 stars !! Please avoid this place at all costs. This was the only place available for wheel alignment on Saturday so I made a mistake and went there . I dropped off the car with only slight right pull but when I picked up ; it was a mess . Car was pulling very hard on the right and had to hold steering turned right hard . When I brought it in they told me that only fault is tire and I should change that . Asked them if they can match Costco terms and pricing and they agreed to most and were higher by $150. I ordered the tires so everything can be one place and they don't make any excuses later . They called me at 7 am . When I got there they said I have appointment for 11 and then said no warranty on tires even though I confirmed 3 times . Also discussed spark plugs replacement with them . They made me drive 80 miles to purchase plugs from lexus and at the shop told me they will not use lexus plugs , even though I have written document from them quoting only labor . Also they changed their mind on pricing . Problem is they are mismanaged . 5 people deal with one customer and not a single one of them is trained . I dealt with Matthew and Paul and on my visit the girl on counter just gave an excuse that both Matthew and Paul are new to Firestone and don't know what they are talking about . I *ALMOST* feel bad for the manager who has to try to explain to me that they are not the ones who broke the tire pressure gauge. When the car went in for rotation and alignment with no tire issue ever and they sent it out with the sensor broken. OK, my disclaimer is that I came here with my wife for a--hopefully--spur of the moment tire repair and did not end up having her car serviced. My wife was working at the church down the street and said her tire pressure light came on. We looked and found a part of a spring stuck in her left rear driver tire. Drove here because of the convenience. Young man at the counter, after we tell him our problem, looks into the work area for about 30-45 seconds, seemingly hemming and hawing, before telling us they aren't accepting any more cars today (to be fair, it was 3 pm on a Friday). He is willing to put some air in the tire to get us home or to another place. He suggests the other Firestone location on N. Placentia but "you should call first". My wife says, "You can't call?", and the gentleman doesn't say anything. He also told us that the puncture is in the sidewall and can't be repaired, that we'll need a new tire. We'll see. First, I get that they're busy and can't take us that day. Second, I appreciate him putting air in the tire. However, him not offering to call the other location for us seems a bit lame or lazy. Years ago, my wife used the N Placentia location and seemed to like it OK. However, we decided we would wait and take our car to America's Tire, where we purchased the tires. I feel like we dodged a bullet here, because when I got home and checked the Yelp reviews, this place gets 2.5 stars. They do respond on Yelp, but it's the standard "We're so sorry for your experience and want to get management involved so please email us at ----." Why not fix the problems and start getting 4 and 5 star reviews? read more

Terrible service and insane up charging staff. They have predatory service practices at this establishment. A prime example was when they tried charging me 150+ for an engine air filter replacement. An air filter costs around $15-$20 dollars and it takes 1 minute to replace so I can't understand why they charged so much. Stay away from this establishment. read more

Got upsold on runflat tires for my BMW. Was stranded on the freeway and Firestone was the only place that was open late and had the tires. They told me I had a cracked rim and left me to find a replacement rim before a week later recommending a weld shop. Got the cracked rim welded and mounted the four tires. When I got my car back I noticed that the other rims were scratched from being dropped on the face and an impact gun. Exemplary service. So I dropped off my truck afterhours using the "drop-off" slot. The problem is, I didn't put into the correct box, whoops. I called in around noon to check the status. What status? My truck was still in the parking lot because of my mistake. I spoke to the tech and he immediately got my truck onto the lift and sent me over a detailed report on the service I was in need of. I needed all four brakes pads replaced and my drums repaired. They completed all the work in under three hours. Very impressed how they care about customer service. read more

I wanted to update everyone on Firestones follow up. They made themselves look real good by replying to my review but that's essentially all they did. They asked me to email them with what happened. I did. They responded with the typical, "we are sorry to hear what happened" and they asked for my contact info, no solution offered, just requested my email or phone number. I told them that we can continue communicating via email. And that was the last I heard from them. Looks like corporate is just like the garages. I never leave reviews but for this place I have to . I was waiting there for ten minutes before someone came to talk to me . Then one of the employees, Josh, was about to help me, but when he was checking me in , he picks up the phone and makes me wait like another half an hour to talk to another client . That's not how customer service works. And to make it worse, after all that, he called over the person behind me to help him because he had seen him before. I was literally first in line waiting forever and Josh is on the phone for 30 minutes and then calls someone to come cut me . I was not helped until someone came from the maintenance area . I had an appointment but that means nothing to them apparently . Don't go here if Josh is working . Figure out his work schedule and go when he's not working, seriously. I don't know what his problem with me was . Only reason this gets 2 stars because the other guy who came in and helped was great .
