(1 Star) I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I brought my Mercedes-Benz to the Discount Tire location in Redlands because my rear tire was not holding air. Since I purchased all four tires and the warranty through Discount Tire, I expected the issue to be straightforward. My expectation was simple: inspect the tire, determine whether it qualified under the warranty, and explain the findings honestly. Instead, I received multiple, conflicting explanations over the course of two days. The first phone call informed me that all four of my tires were low on tread and needed to be replaced. I explained that all four tires had been purchased from Discount Tire and that I had also purchased the warranty. I reminded them that I came in because one rear tire was losing air, not because all four tires were worn out. I was then placed on hold. When the representative returned, the explanation completely changed. I was told they had accidentally inspected another Mercedes-Benz of the same color and that my vehicle was actually fine. The problem with that explanation is that I was sitting in the parking lot during that phone call. I could see the vehicles on the lot, and I did not observe another Mercedes-Benz matching mine. Whether there was an internal mix-up or something else, the explanation simply did not make sense based on what I personally observed. When I arrived before closing to pick up my vehicle, the explanation changed again. I was then told the replacement tire needed to be ordered. The following day, I received another phone call. This time I was told the tire would not be covered because I had not had an alignment performed after purchasing the tires. I was then asked if I wanted to purchase both a replacement tire and an alignment. By the end of the process, I had received four different explanations for the same warranty claim: All four tires needed replacement. My vehicle had been confused with another Mercedes-Benz. The replacement tire needed to be ordered. The warranty would not be honored because an alignment had not been performed. At that point, the issue was no longer about the tire it was about trust. I don't mind being told "no" if the decision is supported by the written warranty and explained honestly. What I do mind is receiving a different explanation every time I speak with someone. That makes it very difficult to have confidence in the recommendations being made or to believe that my warranty claim was handled consistently. I have submitted a formal complaint to Discount Tire Corporate requesting a review of this matter and an explanation of the written policy used to deny my claim. As of the date of this review, I have not received a response. I will update this review to reflect how Discount Tire responds and whether the company stands behind its warranty and customer service. I also intend to document and share my experience on social media so other consumers can make informed decisions based on the outcome. I genuinely hope I can update this review with a positive resolution. Right now, however, I cannot recommend this location based on my experience. read more

I've been to this location several times, about 3 months I went and had to get multiple things fixed, and 2 new tires. They over inflated 2 of my tires and under inflated the other 2 by 7 PSI each. They also told me 3 hours and ended up taking almost 6 to complete it. My mother went recently to get a new starter and brakes, they told her that het coolant was leaking but she hasn't seen anything so she said no to fixing it. They call her back and tell her that the tech was trying to be "so careful" but his elbow touched the coolant tube and it "fell apart"... and that she would have to pay for something to fix it. She went with the cheaper option at $160 instead of $400, embarrassing that they wouldn't offer to fix it as they were the ones that broke it. I'm not a fan of them taking advantage of her as there was no way for her to drive her car safely without fixing the coolant tube. read more

Went in for an oil change and the service technician somehow managed to break the drain plug loose and chipping the oil pan. Technician acted like it was already chipped however if it was it was not leaking oil. Technician did a tap dye if that's what they call it. So now they put a larger drain plug to cover and hopefully seal the drain plug properly avoiding leaks. Still leaking. read more

I have had my cars/trucks faithfully serviced at Discount Tire and Service Center in Redlands for many years, but the new manager, Luis, either fails to understand me or purposely messes up my service requests. I had an appointment for 10:00 a.m. on 09-10-26. I very clearly stated to the manager, Luis, that I had already set the appointment through Esteban the previous afternoon for an oil change. I re-explained that I had a dash light indicator about the oil neediing to be changed soon. I said that the tires did not need be rotated. I also requested that they check to make sure my turn indicator lights were working. More than an hour later, when I returned, my truck was OUT OF THE SERVICE AREA, and Luis told me that he HAD DISCOVERED A LIGHT FOR THE OIL NEEDING TO BE REPLACED, AND DID I WANT TO DO THAT HERE, OR ELSEWHERE???? Started coming here due to issue with another Discount tire doing work I didn't authorize. Had to take it to another shop to get fix due to them refusing to fix. Redlands store that couple times I had oil change done didn't do everything they was supposed to do. Both time telling me things needed to be fixed that was still good. Not even close to being worn out. Was verified by 2 different shops. Sent multiple message to corporate over the last month with no response. Web site says they will get back within 24 hrs. I've always trusted Discount Tires for their professionalism, strong work ethic, and genuine care -- so much so that I even opened a store credit card to keep my business here. Unfortunately, my last two visits have been disappointing since Brian left. On my first visit, I paid about $530 for a brake service and oil change, but my brakes -- the main reason I came in -- were never actually fixed. My car was kept for five hours, extra services I didn't ask for were done, and when I asked why my brakes weren't handled, the front desk servicer -- a tan gentleman about 5'5", probably in his early 40s, very stoic with a stern face -- simply told me, "I don't know." I believe it's your job to know and help, so I left feeling brushed off and confused. Then, during my most recent visit on July 2nd at 9a.m. at the Redlands location, my brakes were still not fixed. Instead, I was given an estimate for over $2,300 for work. A second opinion confirmed my brakes still wouldn't have been addressed. I was advised to report this, but because I've always had a good history here, I don't want to damage any relationships -- I genuinely like the staff. I just want honest communication and for this to be made right. I hope the owner or manager will reach out -- I have full documentation if needed. I made an appointment for an oil change on Thursday. The reason most people make appointments is so they don't have to wait all day. So I had a 9 AM appointment for an oil change. Discount offered a free tire rotation as well. After an hour and a half the sales person said I should get my differential oil changed which I agreed to. After watching my truck sit on the rack for a half an hour unattended I asked the sale associate why. Oh we didn't have enough oil so we are waiting for more. My thought being why offer a service that you don't have enough of the parts for. But my biggest complaint was I spent 3 hours for an oil change that I had an appointment for. Went to get a flat tire fixed, was given an estimate to fix an oil leak and replace strut arms, that were in bad shape, was able to get it done while I waited for a good price, they patched my tire for free. Great experience. I stopped by here right when they opened because the psi on my Tesla was losing pressure. Luis Martinez, the store manager, helped me within 5 minutes of walking in the door. They discovered a nail in the tire and patched it up for free. I was out and back on the road within 1 hr. In addition, his team found another issue with a crack in the control arm with my suspension and advised me to take it to Tesla to see they could fix it under warranty. My review is based on a Sam's professionalism and customer service. I worked solely with him for my car. I was impressed with his work and I'd like to commend him for it. I came a couple of weeks ago because my car was rattling underneath and I couldn't find anything. They ended up finding that my sway bar was broken (I did see it - I broke that thing in half ). Anyways the part itself was almost $700 dollars because they ordered it directly from Honda. I was stressed out because the part was going to take a couple of days to get delivered, and on top of that additional time to repair the car. I was really busy with my schedule and I was barely squeezing out time to get my car fixed. I had a slow leak in my back tires which I had just replaced about two months ago. The place I bought my tires from originally wanted $32 just to inspect them and another $89 for a patch!! Discount Tire and Service Center in Redlands came highly recommended by both a female and a male friend who said they would take good care of me there and inspect the tires for free and may be even fix the patch for free. This was not the case, they just try and upsell people. I then took car back to them because my tire sensors weren't working.
