They overcharged me to hell and back, let alone taking over 10 months to fix my truck. Every time I went there the truck was in the same spot, blocked in untouched. Got the truck back and it didn't run still so had to go back and waited another month. Took a picture of it while it was there, they let it sit in the wind for days with the hood up rubbing the roof so it chipped and scraped the paint on the hood. Told them I was unhappy but that didn't matter to them. I talked to the mechanic at the time and he wanted to work on it but was told by the owner multiple times to not work on it as the other jobs were faster and brought in the money. Overall pretty disappointing. This was almost four years ago now and I'm still not over it. The work they did messed other things up as well for instance the electrical but I went to another shop to fix that versus waiting on these guys. Go elsewhere, you won't regret it. read more

I used to really like this place, but as it seems, they are becoming more and more rude and unhelpful when I call them. I called today to talk to Paul sr. About my A/C As I have been a customer on and off since 2016, the lady on the phone did not want to let me speak with Paul, I even politely asked her if I could wait. she acted like I was wasting her time telling me to just drop off my vehicle....the service at this place is going downhill since I've been a customer. Seems like every time I ask to speak with the owner, I get an attitude from his employees. I love this place! Everyone there is so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. After going through what was an awful year... I was in need of getting my Evap system looked into. Every place I called had a minimum of a week long wait list. I didn't have time for that so I called one more place ..this place. They were able to get me in the next day. They found a crack in my Evap canister and replaced it right away. Unfortunately circumstances happened that I could not pick it up the next day and they accommodated me with no problem. The fuel pump on my Passat died on the way to AZ, on a Friday. I called around to a few places in Yucaipa and J & S said that they could get to the car on Monday morning so I left it there. Called them Monday and most of Tues with no luck. Their phone line was busy or rang endlessly. I returned Tuesday afternoon to find they had done nothing. Told them I was taking the car elsewhere. While I was returning a rental car they "looked" at the car to determine what was wrong so they could charge me $110 for NOTHING! That's some serious chutzpah. read more

One of the BEST experiences i have had with an auto shop! I was headed out to Yucaipa from San Diego to visit my mom, and when I made it to Hemet my car overheated. I bought some coolant and added almost the entire container, and when I got to Beaumont my car overheated again and I added the remainder of the coolant. When I arrived at my mom's place she recommended I take my car to J&S Auto. I was having similar problems with my car before and I had taken it to a guy in Yucaipa down the hill on Yucaipa Blvd next to Smog & Save. He never did give my car a long-term fix, he mis-diagnosed the issue with my car, and he tried to tell me it was an issue with the head gasket (an expensive repair). I knew it was not the damn head gasket, as I had already had that repaired. I can't believe I even gave that guy my money. Also, he never answers his phone and he is very slow with his work. So thank the Baby Jesus I took my car to J&S. (1) They were very friendly and professional. They knew who my mom was, and remembering she has been dealing with an illness, the woman working the counter asked how she was doing, and even went outside in the parking lot to talk to my mom (she had followed me down there and was waiting in her car for me to come back out). Also, this woman even picked my mom up from her home once to give her a ride to the auto shop to get her car (I was sick and couldn't drive my mom). (2) They were FAST. There were lots of other cars there, and about 45 minutes after leaving my car, they called me and told me the water pump and fan belt needed to be replaced (not the bloody head gasket). 2 hours later my car was ready to be picked up. (3) The price was fair. I paid just under $300 for everything including labor. This place offers fantastic service and, should my car have issues out in Yucaipa again, I will not hesitate in taking it back to J&S Auto Repair. read more

Met Paul at United Motorsports up the street from his shop. Where he usually gets referred from United. Spoke with him and went over what I wanted done. However due to lack of communication and HUGE (3months) delay, which I find bad customer service I've decided to no longer wait. I think I've been fair as to being patient and I'm not saying they do bad work but definitely need customer service skills. I expected more sense I send them lots of consumers my car sat for months and I had to finish the work myself. I do my on maintenance on my vehicle and there where parts missing when I got it back they said I dropped it off that way they threw away my honey cone to my cat when I asked to look at it. they would say they would either have my car done and if not they would call me on a certain day I wouldn't here from them for weeks and ide call them just to here they still where waiting for the part finally I just picked it up and finished it myself. Absolutely horrible. They "fixed" the hood to my car with a ziptie and as soon as I got on the freeway the ziptie broke and the hood flew up and smashed my windshield. Once I brought it back to them they claimed that there was never a ziptie and that my car was in a previous accident and it was bound to happen. After driving over 2 years in this car, never one issue. After they touched it this happens... Took weeks to get the new windshield and hood, AND when the "new" hood was put on it was the worse. Faded paint, cracks in the paint, dents all over it, and not aligned at all. And they didn't even attempt to fix the giant dents in the roof that were caused by the hood flying up. I've never had such bad service and rude people touch my vehicles and by no means would I ever go back or even send my worse enemies over there. They even tried to get me to pay 60 dollars for a new hood latch that they "fixed" with a ziptie... read more

I was trying to look for an auto repair shop in Yucaipa. Logged on to Yelp and checked out the reviews. I read the ONE good review about this auto repair shop so I thought it's good enough. I was totally wrong and I regret having brought my car to this place. When I took my car for diagnosis, it was running but it was misfiring. It's been one week with no good news about the diagnosis. I kept calling asking what was going on, and they still couldn't figure it out. So I told them that I was just going to pay them for the diagnosis which is $140.00 and take my car back. They charged my card over the phone for the $140.00 and guess what? I had to tow my car home for it would not even run at all. HUGE mistake for even taking my car to this place. So DO NOT make the same mistake I did. When I called the dealership about the problem they have told me that this place could have started with just merely changing the spark plugs and could have sold the problem. read more
