My mom really wanted to come to this winery because she heard they served Stella Rosa wines. They had Stella Rosa wines that we haven't seen at our grocery store before so it was really fun to try them! They were all really sweet and funny enough, we didn't like any of the ones we tasted in our tasting course. Lol but the gal behind the counter did pour us a taste of the Stella Rose Mango Chile and we loved it!! Had to buy a few bottles to take home. The location isn't the nicest as it's right off the highway but it's spacious and they serve food. It's a much more casual winery.

Me and my family ended up stoping here on our way out of San Jose and headed towards San Diego. We needed some time to stretch out legs, and what better way than at a winery? The building is very cute and clean. It has a very open vibe to it and feels inviting. We were greeted at the door right away with wine samples! There were even non-alcoholic samples ready for the kiddos or non drinkers. We ended up sitting and eating here as well. The food is a bit pricey but it was still tasty and the portions are big. They do offer kids meals. Personally, I ordered a shrimp pasta plate. It was pretty good! I forgot to say no mushrooms so I pushed those off to the side and was fine. I also ordered mozzarella sticks for the table and those were pretty good as well! My kiddo and sister shared a pizza and they said it was really good. It came with a hearty amount of pepperonis on it which was nice. After eating, we got to explore the store! Lots and lots of wine options available. They sell a few other items like pasta, pasta sauce, small stuffed items, candles, etc. while shopping the staff was so nice about letting me and my mom sample wines before committing to buying a bottle of it. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable about tastes. Overall, this was a great winery experience! We left with more wine bottles than I dare say. But it was worth every penny! I would definitely return here if given the opportunity. It is worth the stop.

I'd been wanting to try this place for many years. The yellow of the building with the contrasting red umbrellas always caught my attention. I'm so glad we made a reservation. Ordering was easy enough. It's done at the counter and they give you a number. You can choose where to sit. Being that it was a beautiful sunny day, we decided to sit outside. We ordered a BLT Sandwich with a side salad and fries. The sandwich was absolutely amazing. The bread was nicely toasted, the garlic aioli used was so tastey and the bacon had a Smokey flavor to it. Amazing! It was my husbands first time trying wine EVER, so we decided to play it safe with a dessert wine - Stella watermelon and chili flavored. It was so good!! They had a musician playing some light guitar which was a very nice touch to the already great afternoon. Highly recommend!

We had such a fun time starting our birthday vacation trip here, we has to stop in on the way home. Between both visits, we walked out with a case of assorted wines. We enjoyed the cannoli desert and the tiramasu (yum!). We had fresh pours of a Muscato and the Storm Watch - stellar!!!! The staff? What great people. Tiana welcomed us in the door and made us feel like family. Definitely a great experience and we will be back!! Hopefully its before the next birthday vacay :)

Friendly welcoming staff. This location is almost like LA but a little bit smaller. I do love being away from LA because it feels special. Seems like there are far more clearance items. I did take the tour down the street. Bryan was the perfect tour guide. Pristine clean and one of the top alcohol producers in the US. I'm super impressed with their sustainability certification and not wasting water or electricity (solar). San Antonio has done it again. Fabulous job. Thank you Santo

We love Stella Rosa so of course we had to stop by! We came for lunch - you seat yourselves then order your food/drinks at the front. There was also live entertainment when we came. The ladies at the front were super sweet and helpful! They gave us recommendations on food and wine selections. They were also sampling their special wines at the front. We ordered the roasted vegetable pizza, veggie omelette, chicken alfredo, and the pastrami sandwich which we enjoyed. I loved my mimosa which was a blend of their strawberry guava wine with prosecco. They even added some edible glitter to give it some class! Don't forget to pick up a bottle of the Stella Rosa vodka sauce!

This is a nice winery that was my lunch stop on my road trip to Monterey. It's part winery, part restaurant - with a well-stocked shop attached. There is both indoor and outdoor seating for the restaurant, and a live band it seems on the weekends. Service was prompt and efficient for the restaurant - you order at the register that also serves the attached wine shop. I selected the Maddalena Spaghetti and found a spot in their spacious dining room. The pasta dish was on point - al dente noodles with juicy/flavorful Italian-style meatballs. I had a nice side of bread that was offered, and my waitress was attentive. Saved the rest of the large portion for the road. I spent a good chunk of time browsing their vast wine shop - which being that this was one of the sources of Stella Rosa wines - had amazing deals and special pricing on their products. I picked up a wine sampler for the hotel crew I'd be staying at in Monterey, and a few special bottles to enjoy during my stay. Easy parking upfront and around the property - right off the highway driving through Paso Robles.

I believe sometimes companies have off days, and employees may have a bad day, which can affect one's experience, thus I dont let one bad experience ruin a company's review. But when it comes to my CHILD, you best believe i will never forgive and forget or let our experience be forgotten. We visited this winery expecting a relaxing, family-friendly experience and instead left with our daughter crying after being scratched in the face near her eye by the owner's off-leash dog. What makes this especially frustrating is that the winery's own rules state dogs must be leashed, yet the owners' dogs were roaming the property freely. Our daughter was calmly petting one of the dogs with me standing directly beside her when the dog suddenly growled and scratched her across the face. This was completely unprovoked and witnessed by the owner himself, who said absolutely nothing afterward. No apology, no concern, no accountability. An employee later approached us and said, "Sorry, he's old and maybe didn't like that she was the same height as him, which made him react".....which felt less like accountability and more like an absurd attempt to excuse why a reactive dog was allowed to roam off leash around guests and children. We also observed the dogs behaving territorially toward other leashed dogs on the property, making it even more inappropriate that they were allowed off leash in a public setting. My father-in-law is a VERY well known, well respected, and prominent winemaker in Virginia and across the United States, if you know anything about wine, you know him. So lets say, we understand winery culture and hospitality, fairly well. Had something like this happened on his property, it would have been handled immediately and professionally with genuine concern for the injured guest.....especially a child. Watching the owner casually continue on in his conversation with whomever, and pet the dog like nothing happened while our daughter screamed and cried was honestly unbelievable. In my opinion, not worth the visit for the subpar wine, if you want to take your children/dog somewhere. The poodles were friendly to me, and other adults, until we saw their behavior to other dogs & then my child....The complete lack of concern from ownership after a child was injured was shocking. Frankly, they are fortunate we chose not to escalate the situation further. Parents should absolutely be cautious visiting here with children or pets. An off-leash dog with territorial behavior has no place interacting freely with guests. Absolutely shocked and the owner should be ashamed of his actions & response (or lack there of) to the situation.

The tour started at 10am cause it would be too hot to be outside in the afternoon. Our tour guy was very professional and knowledgeable about this massive vineyard resort. I really liked the cute goats on the ground. I was worried about them being in the heat and out in the sun. But our tour guy assured me that they made sure the animals stay in shaded areas and drink enough water to stay hydrated. The arts of this place are just fantastic. Owner is a big art collector so he covers quite a few cultures including Buddha (my faith)! All the arts are from the original countries so they are authentic. Well, besides the obvious (the wine).... It was the.... ok you caught me!! We came for the wine! Yeah, we were staying at the Ava Hotel in Paso for my wife's birthday weekend (definitely check this place out if you are looking for a beautiful spot to call home away from home) And being that we were in wine country.... We wanted a nice outdoor vineyard where our kids could be outside, run around, and get all of their energy out all while Mommy & Daddy had our own little R&R time sippin' on the good stuff. And let me tell you, it was Good Stuff! When we first arrived at Sculpterra, we already knew the place was going to be a hit as the parking lot was hoppin. And apparently we weren't the only ones that got the memo that this place was THE PLACE to be as it was just a little bit off the beaten trail from where we started out... Approximately 6 miles from "Downtown Paso" (through the city limits, down the 'ol country back roads and suddenly we were in wine country!) Prior to heading to the vineyard, we did a quick pit stop at McDonalds for the kids so they had something they liked. As for me and my wife, we opted to get some of the local fare items offered on site, cause what goes better with wine than a yummy charcuterie board? I'll answer that momentarily! But wait, theres more!!!! Upon finding a nice little table outdoors to sit and relax with our wine chilled in a bucket of ice, there was suddenly music to our ears and Love to my eyes! Yes, there was lovely Live Music being played by a band and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a food truck serving Mexican Food from a local Mexican restaurant. Remember earlier when I said what goes better with wine than a charcuterie board? Well, if you guessed a little Mexican Food, then you are oh so right, but only in moderation! So in order not to ruin the good vibes of the beautiful vino from Sculpterra, I opted for just one taco and a cup of their poblano soup and man was it fire. The soup was piping hot and it had a kick of spice that made me spice from ear to ear. As far as the wine, the vineyards vibe and the entire aesthetic of the grounds, Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Gardens (the vineyard was adorned with many abstract and contemporary pieces that are all photo worthy), this place checks all the boxes. The place is kid friendly as there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, with areas for the kids to throw a ball, run around, or even learn to play a g as a game of chess. A decent variety of Reds, Whites, & Blends are all up for grabs, so if you find yourself in Paso Robles with the fam or its just you and your hunny, definitely come check this place out and watch the miracle of them turning water into wine!

The tasting at Mitchella Vineyard and Winery is $20 for 6 wines, with mindfully curated cheese pairings. (A fantastic deal considering the seemingly skyrocketing cost of everything.) The tasting fee is also waived with the purchase of 2 bottles, which is the route I opted for after completing my experience. Upon arrival I was instantly greeted by Lizzie, as she patiently and quietly waited for me to exit my car. She wiggled her butt toward the entrance, encouraging me to follow. Sweet little start to the day, I'd say! (The winery pup in case you haven't figured that out.) ;-) Rachel quickly greeted me and got me seated next to a heater in their enclosed patio, and the paired adventure began. The Viognier was paired with Kokos, a coconut Gouda cheese. Very surprising on the palate, and the wine definitely emphasized the coconut, while the cheese brought out the pineapple of the wine. The Chardonnay had a crisp mouth feel but still just the slightest hint of that butteriness I tend to love in my chardonnays. The subtle saltiness of the benning goat Gouda smoothed out the crispness of the wine. The Cheap B*st*rd (since I'm not sure what Yelp decides doesn't work for them), was quite enjoyable as a stand alone. For me it had the nose of what I would consider to be darker fruits and a generally more jammy wine, but it was smooth on the palate. The white Stilton with cranberry that it was paired out helped bring forward some of the fruit flavor, but the cheese itself wasn't my favorite (hence the stand alone aspect). The Tempranillo would be my grab a glass and a book and plop down by the fireplace (or on my balcony wrapped in blankets) type of wine. It didn't feel heavy and was just a nice sippable red. On the nose, for me, was a very dark red kookaburra licorice. It had a smooth, light finish and paired quite well with the mimolette (which I will forever know as the cannonball cheese thanks to Rachel!) Presumptuous, a zin, had what I consider to be a jammy mouthfeel (as I still can't figure out how exactly wine connoisseurs identify that!) It was paired with a Boschetto truffle cheese and I feel it brought out a very mushroom forward (favorable) taste when put together. For me, it isn't always about what can the food do for the wine... I love to experience what the find can do for the food! Give me a nice side dish of garlic sautéed mushrooms with a glass of this zin, and pretty sure I'm one happy girl. The only potential downside to me for this winery is that their restroom is a portable. While considerably clean, it's definitely a tight squeeze if you're a bigger girl like myself. Deal breaker? Not a chance. I look forward to a future stop when the vines are green and views expansive!

On one occasion while visiting Paso we got to observe the bottling process as well as stumbling into a hot air balloon festival. Brock and Michelle are such a delight to know and such wonderful hosts. They can be justly proud of their wines. I have found none better. They offer a splendid variety of fine wines. If you are in Paso, drop in at their tasting room where you will meet their pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable staff in a beautiful setting. This became our only stop when visiting Paso. They pride themselves on their relationships with their customers, something they can accomplish due to lower production (vs. some of the big and more impersonal corporate-run wineries in the area). Their staff are friendly and accommodating, while their tasting room evokes that unique and intimate experience only a boutique winery like this can offer. They have a variety of little seating groups, in addition to a long bar for lively interactions with staff and other visitors. They are SO accommodating that they offer specialized wine club packages, such as Zinfandel only offerings. And while they do make AMAZING Zins and other reds, their white and sparkling wines are delicious too...even this confirmed Zin fan recently bought their reserve Chardonnay (and I usually never like this varietal--but theirs is lovely). If you are looking for a new wine club to try out or simply a place to stock up on amazing wines for the holidays, Brochelle should be your first choice.

I recently went back to Paso Robles and discovered Vina Robles had switched owners…read more At first I was sad and scared since I really did enjoy my experience at their previous location. Once I heard what happened I was more sad but happy to hear the new owner wants to continue Vina Robles. I wish as a member I would have gotten notified. Went to their new location which was really convenient since we were going to other wineries near there. It's still a big location. Plenty of seating and they still offer food which we were happy about. Our server was super sweet and knowledgeable which I always appreciate when it comes to wine. We started a tasting and then just tried whatever she gave us which we weren't complaining. Haha. All the wine she was giving us was really good. I was really impressed by their food. I wanted more of everything. We got their bruschetta al Fresco, hummus, monte Bianca pizza, and one other pizza. I fell in love with their bruschetta. We got there right as there kitchen closed which was a bummer because I wanted more. Overall, I still enjoy their wine. Their location is really nice. Food is delicious. I will conintue being a member and will stop by anytime I am in the area.

I booked it online and then reserved online in their website. No phone call was needed. We reserved noon on Saturday and after all of our party arrived we went upstairs to our lovely comfy leather sofas to settle in for the duration. We were given 4 pizzas of our choice and 4 salads and served buffet style so everyone could load their plate. We also added 3 orders of yummy meatballs. I cut them in half for serving. Artichoke hearts appetizer, charcuterie board and more. They provided juice boxes for the little boys in our party. The food was more than enough for Lunch. We could have fed more people and we took home a lot of pizza. The Italian sausage pizza was very good but we had the hot honey on the side as none of the group was interested in it. The wine was good, as usual. I had only whites. The rest of the group had the standard white then red tasting. The sparkling rose is also very good and upstairs you have dedicated bottle server. Service was excellent. They had live music downstairs and a market event going with vendors selling goods for the holiday season. I love this venue and will return soon. Improvement needed. Buy some large paper plates for the buffet lunch. It's a shared food event. All we had was tiny appetizer plates. We asked for larger but they had none. ** edit. Update. The manager replied and has ordered larger plates so I'm happy to hear this. We are already talking about coming back again. Dec 18, 2025 The Cesar salad had nice shaved cheese but no salad dressing.
