My mom really wanted to come to this winery because she heard they served Stella Rosa wines. They had Stella Rosa wines that we haven't seen at our grocery store before so it was really fun to try them! They were all really sweet and funny enough, we didn't like any of the ones we tasted in our tasting course. Lol but the gal behind the counter did pour us a taste of the Stella Rose Mango Chile and we loved it!! Had to buy a few bottles to take home. Me and my family ended up stoping here on our way out of San Jose and headed towards San Diego. We needed some time to stretch out legs, and what better way than at a winery? The building is very cute and clean. It has a very open vibe to it and feels inviting. We were greeted at the door right away with wine samples! There were even non-alcoholic samples ready for the kiddos or non drinkers. We ended up sitting and eating here as well. The food is a bit pricey but it was still tasty and the portions are big. They do offer kids meals. Personally, I ordered a shrimp pasta plate. It was pretty good! I forgot to say no mushrooms so I pushed those off to the side and was fine. I also ordered mozzarella sticks for the table and those were pretty good as well! My kiddo and sister shared a pizza and they said it was really good. It came with a hearty amount of pepperonis on it which was nice. After eating, we got to explore the store! Lots and lots of wine options available. They sell a few other items like pasta, pasta sauce, small stuffed items, candles, etc. while shopping the staff was so nice about letting me and my mom sample wines before committing to buying a bottle of it. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable about tastes. Overall, this was a great winery experience! We left with more wine bottles than I dare say. But it was worth every penny! I'd been wanting to try this place for many years. The yellow of the building with the contrasting red umbrellas always caught my attention. I'm so glad we made a reservation. Ordering was easy enough. It's done at the counter and they give you a number. You can choose where to sit. Being that it was a beautiful sunny day, we decided to sit outside. We ordered a BLT Sandwich with a side salad and fries. The sandwich was absolutely amazing. The bread was nicely toasted, the garlic aioli used was so tastey and the bacon had a Smokey flavor to it. Amazing! It was my husbands first time trying wine EVER, so we decided to play it safe with a dessert wine - Stella watermelon and chili flavored. It was so good!! We had such a fun time starting our birthday vacation trip here, we has to stop in on the way home. Between both visits, we walked out with a case of assorted wines. We enjoyed the cannoli desert and the tiramasu (yum!). We had fresh pours of a Muscato and the Storm Watch - stellar!!!! The staff? What great people. We have driven by here many times on our way to our vacation home in Paso Robles so we decided to stop in this week for lunch. We are not fans of Stella Rosa wines but we were able to find a pretty good one from their other labels. The place is nice with a cozy fireplace room and I enjoyed the gift shop. The food however is as mediocre as you can get. We both chose the minestrone soup-figuring you can't mess that up. Um, yes you can because it absolutely had ZERO seasoning or flavor-might as well have been from a can! The bread they gave us was obviously old,too. Pulled in here a few weekends ago for a little wine tasting and we were pleasantly surprise at how wonderful a little place off the 46 this was. The wine was great, inexpensive and a wide selection with quite a history in the wine making business. The staff were extremely nice and attentive but to our surprise the lunch menu was fantastic. A very good dining experience. My wife and I arrived the previous evening but we were too late for dining. The chef invited us to come back the next day and described the soup and what to expect should we return. We did in fact return and I got the soup and the steak sandwich. This is a nice winery that was my lunch stop on my road trip to Monterey. It's part winery, part restaurant - with a well-stocked shop attached. There is both indoor and outdoor seating for the restaurant, and a live band it seems on the weekends. Service was prompt and efficient for the restaurant - you order at the register that also serves the attached wine shop. I selected the Maddalena Spaghetti and found a spot in their spacious dining room. The pasta dish was on point - al dente noodles with juicy/flavorful Italian-style meatballs. I had a nice side of bread that was offered, and my waitress was attentive. Saved the rest of the large portion for the road. I spent a good chunk of time browsing their vast wine shop - which being that this was one of the sources of Stella Rosa wines - had amazing deals and special pricing on their products. I picked up a wine sampler for the hotel crew I'd be staying at in Monterey, and a few special bottles to enjoy during my stay. Nice winery that is family friendly. Easy to find. Indoor and outdoor seating. I came to this winery because I was staying at the hotel across the street. Their customer service deserves 5 stars without question. The staff is super friendly and happy to help all of their customers. Love the positive vibes! I did the opaque flight which is thr dry wines. Loved the cabernet. The other ones were also pretty good. I came back to enjoy some of my favorite wine which is the Sauvignon Blanc. It's a refreshing wine for a warm day. Slightly sweet. They also have a nice variety of food on their menu. Their store is neat and has beautiful displays of their wine and other merchandise they sell. Definitely a cool stop when visiting Paso. Quick tip: The hours of operation show that it closes at 6pm, but the kitchen closes at 5. Just found out when I was going to order food at 5:30. read more

I was with a group attending a luncheon and the feelings I had about the food were also felt by the rest of the table. I am a huge fan of Stella Rosa so when I found out I could get tastings at their winery, I was ecstatic. I got the 'Sweet as Spring' ($22) semi sweet wines. This tasting flight went up $2 from $20 because they are now served in glass not plastic cups. The flavors are Lemon lime, Orange fusion, Golden honey peach, and Royals. My mom does not drink but while I was away to the restroom, she took a sip of each. I came back and she asked for a cup of ice so that she could pour the lemon lime wine in to drink. That was shocking. First time in history. Lemon line taste like uncarbonated sprite. They all taste like it sounds. It was hot so we sat inside but outside was very nice with live music. For food we got Filet mignon stir fry ($23) and Combination pizza ($19). Both were excellent choices. The filet was so tender and the sauce was to die for. It had a lot of pepper and some jalapeños which gave a tiny peppery kick. The thin crust pizza had pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers. The retail shop had all the Stella Rosa wine flavors that you normally can't find in stores. They sell all kinds of gift and kitchen items. Will definitely check out other locations. read more

Where do I begin? As locals, this is our favorite place for lunch. It's a family owned winery and bistro where you can get great breakfast and lunch food. I know that people come from all over to San Antonio so this is not a closet treasure. The food is good no matter what you get. Pizza, pasta, appetizer, none will disappoint. They have a children's menu too so bring the kids. Oh and they have wine too. The people who work here will treat you like family. Tony will come by and check to see that everything is on point. He really cares if you're having a good time. On the weekends they have live music making it so fun to just sit on the patio and enjoy the atmosphere and the music. The ambiance here has a cool and low key feel. Come as you are. Tony is not the only amazing person who works here. After tasting some of the Riboli wines at the Cambria Blend Fest event, we decided to check out the San Antonio winery for lunch of the way back to the Bay Area. I had no idea that this family business was so large. They make about a dozen different labels of wine including Stella Rosa. But we weren't here for wine, just for food. I ordered the Filet Mignon Pasta and the wife had a pizza. The cashier was very friendly and helpful with giving us suggestions for food items. We took our number and found a table inside by some windows. The food arrived pretty quickly and the portions were large. I ended up eating about half my pasta and taking the rest home. The dish had a surprising amount of Filet meat so we certainly got our $21 worth. The wife liked her pizza and I enjoyed the pasta. The pasta was a little spicy but I like it that way. The menu is pretty varied so I would think most people can find something to eat here. They do wine flights here but they serve them in plastic cups which seems pretty weird. I would think that most people that are into wine know that the vessel you serve wine in can certainly influence the flavor. I would never want to drink wine from a plastic cup. read more
