After Kyle finished I mentioned to him that I think he shorted me. I have 2 four foot racks with one side 36 inches inches high, and the other 40 inches. Neither rack reached the top of the sides. Kyle's response was he loaded a 1/2 cord and that's what you got. The next day I measured each stack and sent the photos to Kyle. His response was, I will drop off 30 pieces of wood on your driveway, but I will never stack your wood again. He also stated that I'm the only customer to watch him stack, which he indicated was weird. My response was, what's wrong with someone watching you stack, unless you are going to deceive the customer. So buyer beware, because you may not get what you paid for.

When I got home from vacation, I found a lot of tree litter in the bushes below, 2 broken irrigation emitters, one of the plants that was in the crook of the tree was dead and there were many crossing branches left on the tree. I looked up how to trim a coral tree and found that the goal is not to have branches crossing each other.

He communicated well, responded quickly, and showed up on time. Unfortunately, similar to many firewood companies in Santa Barbara, they don't know cord measurements. The price quoted for a 1/4 cord was actually 4x4 - which is only a 1/4 if the logs are 2' long. They are not 2' long nor do you commonly see logs that are 2' long. This misconception is common in this area and I've dealt with a few other people who think the same thing. Once we came to an agreement on the actual wood size, I gladly paid a little bit more to get the proper 1/4 size that I needed, and they quickly delivered it and stacked it for a small fee. Unfortunately, the wood was not ready to burn. It was very wet - burning the wood resulted in an hour of sizzling over a gas starter before it would ignite and each time a new log was added it sounded like boiling water. Jeremy was friendly when I let him know offered a few ideas on how to dry it out... Never trust this company. I ordered firewood from Kyle and he brought it out the next day. When I was stacking the wood, I noticed that it was unusually heavy for dry firewood. I found out why the when I had my first fire... the wood wouldn't burn, it was not properly seasoned. I told Kyle about this via text and he thought it was odd but he said he believed me. He asked that I give it a week and try burning another batch and then let him know how it went. If it was the same result he said he would bring out some wood from another yard that had been around for 2 years. I had another fire the next week with the same result. In order to keep a fire going I had to keep the gas on the entire time. I texted Kyle about this four times and called him a couple of more times and he never responded. It's bad enough getting an inferior product but being lied to by the owner is the cause for me writing this poor review. read more

Kyle and his team always do a fantastic job here. I order 2 full cords each year and the past couple years it has only been Kyle himself stacking the wood. The last two deliveries Kyles' firewood cords after being stacked have been well over the normal 8x4x4. I have two racks that hold two cords perfectly and there's always an extra 1/8-1/4 cord depending on how big or small pieces were cut. If you are looking for a new firewood guy look no further than Kyle ! He rocks. Communication is excellent, keeps you updated on order status , ETA on deliveries usually done via text message, stacks the firewood happily with a smile . Couldn't recommend this young, hardworking, generous man enough . read more

Ordered a half cord of Eucalyptus, which, considering it was New Years, was delivered pretty quickly on Jan 8, a day early, after Kyle called to set it up. The logs are well-seasoned (you can tell, when they sound like bells when they drop off the trailer), consistent in lengths and splits, with no small branches. And, I'm pretty sure I got way more than a half-cord. No stacking due to the busy season, but I got a lot of well-needed exercise doing it myself. read more
